Pride Month Writing Challenge, Day 4: Jenny Darling (Trans Jenny Smith/Past Jenny/Lyla)

So if only AMAB sims can get impregnated by default… and Jenny Smith has children with an alien, then…

Jokes aside, I think this is a fairly popular headcanon? I also hc her as bi for reasons you’ll find out later. These are one-shots, but they all take place in the same universe/same timeline.

Lyla squealed as Jenny walked out of the bathroom in the green polka dot dress she’d brought. “Jenny! You look so cute in that!” 

Jenny looked away bashfully. “You think so?” 

“Come on!” Lyla stood up, grasping Jenny by the wrists. “Give is a twirl!” Lyla and Jenny twirled around in circles until they were dizzy. They fell back onto Jenny’s bed, overflowing with laughter. 

Jenny looked over at Lyla. “Thanks again for bringing all of these clothes with you. I really appreciate it.”

Lyla propped her weight onto her elbows once the dizziness faded. “Anything for you, Jenny. Hey,” Lyla sat up. “Want me to do your makeup next?”

Jenny chuckled as Lyla sorted through her backpack and took out a large bag of eyeshadows, liners, lipsticks, blushes, and so on. Jenny’s eyes widened in surprise. She’d never seen so much makeup in her life. Had Lyla really brought all of this for her?

Jenny turned to her mirror. For the first time, she didn’t immediately look away in disgust and actually recognized the person staring back at her. There were still many things that she wanted to change, but having one person who saw her and embraced her for the girl she truly was really boosted her confidence. One day everyone would see her as Jenny, but for now, Lyla knowing was more than enough. 

Lyla turned Jenny’s face towards her. Just as Lyla had finished applying a layer of foundation, their moment of bliss was rudely interrupted by a series of knocks.

“Kepler, you know the rules! No girls in your room unless the door is open!”

Jenny’s heart sank. 

Shit. I am gonna be in so much trouble.

StrangeSpot, Round Seven: Specter

The ghosts of the Specter house can be a danger if you go out at night. So much so that Lyla, in her fragile zombie state, died of fright.

Olive never expected to outlive Lyla. Lovely Lyla who turned up on her doorstep to get away from a dull life with a boorish man; lovely Lyla, who she brought back from the dead after that lightning strike, assisted by the Strangetown coven witches. She seemed immortal, untouchable - until Knut Futa got scare-happy.

Grim arrives, and with the loss of her earthly partner, Olive’s connection to him feels stronger. Making arrangements for her successor also feels more urgent...

In a more soap opera-like development, Ophelia is pregnant, and Ripp finds out the father is Junior Mann!
