"Mikasa?!"
"get your shit together"
"we are the only ones who can stop Eren"
Well smart ppl, this is the first time in the entirety of attack on titan Levi "snapped" towards Mikasa. The look on his eyes it's so full concern, did he know what was happening to her? Did he realise it was her headache or did he think it was Eren doing something?
Maybe he snapped bc he was absolutely tired of Erens shit and mikasa's hesitation towards him. Maybe he was so worried that he couldn't get his words to come out? "Get your shit together" is such a Levi think to say if he said "are you okay?" It would be so out of character.
I know I don't need to explain this as we are all aware that Levi's way with Mikasa is like none other, right? Eg when he snapped at historia for not being able to give a straight answer to the biggest decision of her life - more: he often snaps at hanji despite them being friends for years etc.
Tumblr media
It also makes me wonder how Levi is so in touch with reality, he's right next to her, could it be that his presence helped Mikasa come back to hers and finally decide to end Eren?
"a theory isn't a fantasy, it's a coherent set of ideas intend to explain something.." and this is me theorising so stay with me. The Ackerman's who had their inhumane power activated are Levi Mikasa and Kenny. Kenny met his tragic end with Yuri, Levi met his tragic end with Erwin and now it is clearly Mikasa's turn. Ik it wasn't obvious but when Kenny Ackerman lost his liege he was completely alone then eventually he had died off. Isn't it funny how the only two Ackerman's to have had years side by side were Mikasa and Levi? It's just my belief that Erwin's death would have caused more harm on Levi if he hadn't had Mikasa by his side and Mikasa would have been more lost in her delusion or dreams without Levi's consent attempt to bring her back to reality. Eg female titan arc.
Even after killing Zeke Levi never found true happiness, was it really the purpose of his life? Definitely not. It almost feels like there's a loose end to tie, possibly with another Ackerman. This is where my theory ( or more questions ) about the shine in his eyes comes in which I will explain later.
I have always seen Mikasa as a doer, who is not indecisive and always goes for the kill. Levi knows that too. This one moment where got her headache and she hesitated to move forward it was a conflict that clearly irretated Levi.
But man if it were anyone else with all their love and care for Mikasa they would have snapped at her ages ago. The patience this man has for Mikasa is unmatched.
Furthermore
"got it"
"Mikasa"
He said this to himself, TO HIMSELF I repeat not to Mikasa or anyone. What does this tell me? It tells me he trusts Mikasa to make the right decision. He knows it's time and he knows that she won't hesitate this time. Remember the gleam in his eyes when Mikasa asked him to help her kill Eren?
It's a gleam of trust and recognition.
Tumblr media
To me this is the purest form of support Levi has given not only to Mikasa but anyone at all. It kinda makes me feel soft if I'm being honest but I can't explain that with facts.
Might I mention how how Levi said mikasa's name more in this one chapter than he has said in the entire manga?
( if someone know why he never calls Mikasa by her name please let me know I'm so hung up on that and still wondering what could be the meaning behind it )
It can be said the same with Mikasa calling Levi "captain" several times in the last chapter and possibly this one.
It may be a personal view of mine but the I think there's a lot of significance in calling ones name. But in rivamika's relationship the lack there of name calling makes it much more interesting to theorise. I have always been someone who would hesitate to say my crush's name because I feel like it would be awkward and make the conversation much more intimate. Yeah it's just a theory but most people would avoid using their crushes name because it makes them nervous and the fact their crush exist near them much more realistic. ( Input scene from there first caridge scene where Levi called Mikasa by her name to tell her to protect Eren with all her skills and Mikasa had a drop sweat on her, she was caught off guard by his voice calling her name )
If I was to assume this is what happened with Levi not mentioning mikasa's name ( all that often ) then it kinda makes sense. And now that we have Levi finally calling out her name in the middle of a life or death battle it makes me wonder if he is finally breaking out of a invisible shell and confronting his feelings (?)
Note: "feelings" can be interpreted as romantic AND non romantic. I don't mean to say that I think he is in love with her that's realistically thinking.
Idk how to word this properly but it's like he is becoming more aware of mikasa's importance in his life and vice versa (?)
Ones name is the biggest connection they have with their individuality and the fact that Levi calls her name several times in this particular chapter makes me think it's somehow connected to Mikasa letting go off Eren and choosing herself + Levi and whoever is left to save. I believe Levi already knew this since the moment the gleam came into his eyes, like I mentioned many many many times Levi knows things about Mikasa before she does. For Levi it's like looking into a mirror that goes backwards in time.
If I'm going to talk more about the gleam in Levi's eyes I might as well put it all down on the table and you can view it however you want.
Remember this
"is it from hope or despair that this strength comes from?"
Well the gleam to me represents hope, not only for the survival of them two by killing Eren, but for Mikasa herself, finding herself MIGHT just be the gleam of hope Levi's strength came from. Individuality. This is more like forshadowing the future than the present.
It also reminds me of S1 when Levi's eyes gleamed when Eren expressed his hatred towards the titans. The look of obsession, to kill the titans and now mikasa's determination to kill Eren ( her obsession).
Tumblr media
If I'm being a delulu then yes I do think he is in love with her and nothing less 🤩 and this look^^ above is so sexy can they just idk send me the wedding invitation already I'm 🕯️😔🕯️ tired of waiting.
Anyways I'm going to end this here I feel like I write so much and if anyone asked me what this was all about in real life I would prolly run away rather than speaking. Thank you guys for being here and supporting me and everyone else! I hope the last chapter is at least 100 pages long because we need it 😭🕯️😭.
Edit: I apologize for making this so long I was going to post it like tomorrow but I think it will makes sense if I do it now rather than later.
Also regarding the snapping bit I honestly think it's just because the way he speaks it comes out as harsh which is natural for his character we already know he cares so much about her, he was panicking guys.

Wolfsbane : Noblesse Fanfic (post-ending)
(previous chapter)
Chapter 7 – Reunions
“Let’s call it a day once we’re done here, albeit late,” said the gray-haired man in black suit as he glanced behind him.
“Let’s do that. We’ve been working non-stop for hours, and you two undoubtedly deserve a good rest,” answered a purple-haired man, who checked with his phone that they had spent yet another night as busy bees.
This is the last one. Takio sighed as he raised his eyes at an ashen building that looked as ordinary as it could be.
His sigh did not derive from fatigue; as a modified human, his body is much more impervious to fatigue than normal human bodies are.
Yet, he has been occupied with his duty whenever his time permitted, so his heart was heavy with psychological exhaustion. And that did not serve as an excuse for him to take leisure with his duty, considering the gravity his tasks carried.
Ever since Frankenstein left, Takio in joint work with KSA has been in charge of shutting down Union facilities and institutions in Korea, especially those under Crombell’s possession.
Even though there were more than a number of Union facilities in Korea, as speculated, only a total of five have been performing the shutdown operation. The KSA originally offered to establish a new department with plenty of agents to be entrusted with the job, but Tao vetoed the idea for the following reason:
We are aware the KSA has now found itself on the safe zone in terms of manpower and functional upkeep. However, I wouldn’t say it’s on the invulnerable zone. Removing a single brick may make your fortress crumble again, which is why I highly recommend you to allocate your men to stabilize the KSA from within, rather than to dispatch them for exterior missions. And – forgive me, no offense – things will be much easier for all of us if me and my team take the lead in this operation, with a select few of your agents assisting us.
Thus KSA and the RK reached an agreement: Sangin and Yeonsu, the best KSA agents AND modified humans who can actually be labeled as modified humans, will be part of the shutdown operation team.
Which is why Takio ended up with tons of work to do.
Tao is in their aid to the best of his abilities, of course, but as the man has become the chairman of Ye Ran High, it is now infeasible to expect him to work magic with this computer the instant they ask. Similar can be said of M-21, if not completely the same, as either he or Takio must stand guard at the school ground in case of crisis.
And although M-21 no longer causes skirmish with Yeonsu, their personalities remain the same, unyielding and often prone to combustion even at the slightest spark. Having them work together is like forcing two identical ends of magnets to stick together. Hence Takio got to handle the shutdown process more frequently, and once again he had to stay awake past 4 A.M., seeking and searching buildings after buildings and streets after streets, until he found himself at the last search point.
“Why don’t we take a day off tomorrow? We can continue the day after,” suggested Sangin, who did not fail to miss Takio’s sigh.
“I’m good. Who else will do the job if I don’t?”
“We can.”
“But I dare not make myself exempt from the task. I think you are the one who needs rest, Yeonsu. I saw how you’ve been walking with a limp for the past few days.”
“I-I’m fine! You can blame a pair of my shoes for that limp you’re talking about. It’s become nearly heelless.”
“Does your previous chairman know that you are basically working like a machine?”
“Of course he does. Our current chairman submits to the former chairman everything that happens in Korea.”
“Speaking of which, you do realize that our communications and interchange of intelligence have turned super-inconvenient, don’t you? I mean, now everything we’ve got to relay to the ex-chairman must go through your new chairman.”
Yeonsu hesitantly added, obviously afraid of making herself sound like she is filing a complaint against the blonde man who will put all demons to shame in terms of viciousness.
“We understand that the ex-chairman decided to cut off all direct communications with us for the sake of security, due to a certain business of unmatched importance. But don’t you think we should improve on this? Inconvenience is one thing, but our current means of communications might cost us direly in the future in case of emergency.”
“I completely understand. I will discuss this with the new chairman.”
“But it’s no use if the former chairman gives us a big fat ‘no,’ is it?”
Two men smiled bitterly as her words sank in.
“Now let’s get in there.”
Sangin waved his hand, once he checked with a life detector, provided by Tao, that there is no vital sign past the door in front of them.
The three humans entered a deserted DIY store and almost immediately discovered a hidden basement, which led to a door made of slick alloy, nothing like a material to be found at a DIY store.
As soon as they set their feet in the chamber, they focused their eyes on the sight highlighted by the tiny drones equipped with 360-degrees-view lights. They realized they had found another lab, a small one compared to the laboratories they had been shutting down so far, like a single bedroom instead of a five-star hotel suite.
“The security is barely active. No, there is no security system to begin with. So there’s a good chance this lab is a temporary one, scheduled to be shut down as soon as its purpose is fulfilled.”
“A temporary lab? Is that even possible? I mean, it’s even furnished with tanks for holding test subjects. I don’t think you’d get to find them in labs supposed to be shut down shortly.”
“Nothing is impossible with Union’s technology and resources.”
Takio replied as if answering a question checking the day of a week. He was unfazed, as he once saw how a Union institution dropped out of the blue in mere 24 hours after a single word from the executives.
The only thing worthy of inspection was the four gigantic glass tanks for freeze-keeping test subjects. As of now, however, only one of them was in use. Which is why they could not catch the faintest glimpse of a person past the frosted surface.
“...Strange.”
“What is strange?”
“There – apparently almost all power is directed towards that tank, save for the energy reserve for the main computer. It looks to me the other tanks are not even plugged for the sake of the most basic maintenance. And that means whoever the specimen in that tank is, it must be ranked with high priority.”
As soon as Takio finished talking, Yeonsu pulled out a USB drive from her pocket, also a courtesy from Tao, and clicked it into the computer. Once the security firewalls were removed, she quickly landed on a file of texts and skimmed it through before turning around.
“You hit the nail on the head. This lab’s emergency power supply can barely sustain the cheapest flat you can think of, but such meaningless resource is assigned to that tank instead of this lab. And I found a note here saying that this specimen is ranked S, admitted to this lab quite a long time ago.”
“But in that case, this specimen shouldn’t be here. By now it should be at an institution boasting technology and budget you’d only get to find with the most prestigious technological institutes in the world. I used to be a Union agent, but even I can’t imagine why such prioritized specimen is still at a lab that was never meant to be permanent.”
“On the other hand, that proves how valuable this specimen is. Maybe there was a reason why this specimen had to stay behind, and they’re taking care not to lose him or her, keeping the frozen state as long as they can.”
“So the question is, just who this VIP of a specimen could be. Let’s find out, shall we?”
Yeonsu switched the tank to thawing mode. It took only a few seconds for the tank to unlatch with a huge noise reminiscent of a toilet seat finally flushing down after staying clogged for days. Takio, Yeonsu, and Sangin automatically focused their gazes at a spot they would probably find the face of the specimen.
The piercing coldness heightened their tension as it permeated through the air, and at last they could make out the profile of a person captured under slumber for who-knows-how-long.
Deep red locks of hair were outlined first. Next came up bodyline too slender to be a male, with its chest and pelvis enclosed in a common outfit for test subjects. The three spectators gaped with their eyes wide open in shock upon recognizing the face of the specimen.
“Wait a minute...”
“Isn’t she a member of the Cerberus?”
Yeonsu and Sangin turned their heads towards Takio, appalled and petrified.
‘Miss Yuigi...? What is she doing here...?’
Takio knew she was a member of the Cerberus, the personal guards of the 12th Elder. He knew she is not the sort to be made a test subject, let alone a specimen in a temporary lab.
Then he remembered during the battle against the Cerberus, Yuigi was the only one who was missing.
“How can this be? Why is Miss... I mean, why is she here?”
Yeonsu and Sangin stared at him, lost for words. It took a few seconds for Takio to realize they shared the battlefield with him at the time, because of which they would have no idea what had happened to Yuigi.
“When was the last time you two have seen Mi... I mean, this woman?”
“When you and your teammates came in contact with two of the Cerberus in order to rescue me, she left with the remaining man to put an end to the battle before the 12th Elder arrives. And that was it. We’re not sure what happened to her after that.”
“My guess is that she was taken down and kidnapped by that guy named Yuri on her way to the battle zone. He was with her at KSA and left when she did. Those bastards. They may have been serving different bosses, but they were affiliated with the same organization, you know? Yet they just have to hunt down and feed on each other. What a bunch of Homo piranhas.”
Yeonsu menacingly muttered upon recalling that Yuri was Crombelll’s agent, which also reminded Takio of a certain man in glasses with sickening manner of speech and personality.
‘He must have made her a prisoner all this time because he couldn’t find an opportunity to send her to a better lab,’ thought Takio.
Now that he diagnosed the reason behind Yuigi’s presence, his mind brought up what he was there for.
Whenever they came across test subjects during their search and shutdown, they terminated each and every one of them. The dead were chemically incinerated with a specially concocted liquid, and the living were injected with a drug used for euthanasia before they were just as incinerated to every last bit.
Such protocol was the main cause for Takio’s emotional distress. He was aware that not all test subjects would have wanted to serve as a lab utensil consisted of flesh and bones. He was also aware that in a way, he was destroying his potential comrades by his own hands.
Nevertheless, it is practically impossible to bring every surviving test subject to Frankenstein’s house, the original members of the RK decided, after much anguished deliberation.
After all, there was no guarantee that the Union reenactment of the Trojan Horse will never take place again, after one of Crombelll’s agents fooled everyone and severely sabotaged Frankenstein’s house by disguising as M-24.
Hence it was time for Takio to promptly pull out his syringe. However, Takio did not move an inch.
“Mr. Takio?”
Sangin tried to draw Takio’s attention, to no avail.
That was more than enough to show that he shared some sort of past with the woman frozen in their eyes. Sangin glanced at Yeonsu to take over this case, and she grabbed her syringe from the pouch she wore around her waist.
“Move. I’ll do it. I’m not sure what your relation to this woman was, but you should now forget everything about it. There can be no exceptions. You know that. But it’s kind of a shame that I never got a chance to pay my debt.”
“What debt?”
“When the Cerberus was at KSA headquarter, a big loser of theirs flung my husband to the walls, so I snapped at him. And he was not pleased with it. But then she stood out and spoke for me. She said it’s only natural for me to get mad, since I saw someone beating my husband.”
It’s only natural for him to get mad. He just heard you losers insulting his sister.
Takio could hear her voice echoing in his head. He even started to feel like he was standing at that corridor, as he studied Yuigi’s frozen countenance.
His eyes started to glow with determination, and just then his communicator vibrated with life.
<Takio.>
“What is it, M-21?”
He had not set the volume high enough for the audience to eavesdrop. However, being modified humans, the two KSA agents could hear every syllable, as if listening on a speakerphone.
<Do I still have to wait for you to get off your duties?>
“We’re done now. All we have to do is to return.”
<I see. So what’s the number I should add on the data sheet of test subjects so far terminated?>
“...Zero. We didn’t run into one.”
Yeonsu and Sangin fired disbelief from their eyes, while Takio was not at all abashed as he was outright going against their agreement on treating test subjects.
<Are we experiencing decrease in the number of test subjects already? Didn’t think it’d take that fast.>
“We should be grateful if that’s the case, shouldn’t we?”
<Absolutely. I’ll see you in a bit.>
“See you, M-21.”
After double-checking that the communication was gone, Takio shrugged off his blazer as he approached the tank.
“Agent Yeonsu. And Agent Sangin. I’m sorry, but could you please give yourselves 30 minutes before you make it back to the KSA headquarter? And I’d really appreciate it if you could claim you had visited a nighttime diner nearby for a rest, if anybody asks what took you.”
“...We can do that, but would you mind if I ask why?”
“You’re not planning to take her, are you...?”
Once he wrapped Yuigi’s body as best as he could with his blazer, Takio scooped her in his arms and rose.
“I’ll need roughly half an hour to take Mi... I mean, take this woman to a safe place.”
“You’re gonna take her? What are you thinking? I thought we already discussed this. We’re supposed to terminate all test subjects, even if we run into someone you were acquainted with!”
“I know. Of course I know. But... If my prediction is correct, it would be better for us to let her live.”
“But Mr. Takio...”
“I’m sorry. I know I’m committing absurdity here. But I’d like to ask you to please trust me just this once. Please.”
Yeonsu, with her fists clenched tight, met her husband in the eyes. They wordlessly stared at each other, seemingly weighing pros and cons of their situation. Finally, they sighed and loosened their shoulders.
“Very well. Looks like there’s something you know about her, as an ex-agent of the Union.”
“But remember – if something goes wrong after this, you’re responsible for it.”
“Agreed. Thank you for understanding.”
“By the way, what’s your relation to her? Why would you lie to your own teammate to save her?”
“...There was no relation. It’s just that... I owe her a debt. Just like you.”
Takio murmured as he looked down at Yuigi, listless in his arms. A dress shirt was separating her frigid hair from his skin, yet it was dead-icy, just like her eyes when she was looking down at him that day.
*****
Meanwhile, in Lukedonia...
“Aaaaargh......”
A man parted his lips wide as he yawned.
“Urgh...”
“Aaargh...”
His coworkers followed suit in a chain reaction.
“I knew it won’t be easy, but... I’ve never thought we wouldn’t make it.”
“But I’m glad we don’t have to wake up in the wee morning anymore.”
“Still, I was hoping to catch sight of them at least once. And I was ready to give up my sight for good.”
It has been more than half a month since a group of human reporters had been lodging at Lukedonia. By now they should be with their friends and families at home, but their return was postponed for a good reason. No one could spare time to send them back due to the nuclear missile incident, the chaos that ensued naturally, and the undoing of the chaos.
Nonetheless, none of them blamed the nobles for the fact that they had to wait for today to leave, since they wanted to stay.
“We should consider ourselves lucky. When will we ever get to take an investigative trip to that place? All we had to do was ask, and we could basically go out there and take a walk.”
“True. Literally all human eyes are on this zone, and we were free to tour it.”
“Not even the world’s top 100 billionaires can make it to this place, so I’m kind of proud that we were there.”
Ever since the world of nobles was made public to the human world, humans have been keenly interested in Lukedonia, for more than the fact that there dwelled creatures known as nobles.
Lukedonia is located in the heart of the Bermuda Triangle, composed of three vertices, one of which is Miami. By setting out on a ferry from Miami, one can reach one of the greatest wonders of the Atlantic, praised and beloved by marine biologists and environmentalists from all over the world.
Dubbed “Bermudan Treasure Chest,” this oceanic quarter is home to countless seawater organisms, not yet defined in total numbers, thanks to the blood-red coral reefs that have gorgeously blossomed against the experts’ opinions that this place is not the best environment for coral reefs to flourish.
What is peculiar is that lifeforms in Bermudan Treasure Chest are much bigger and live longer than the same species inhabiting anywhere else, and their numbers in populations and classifications are growing over time. To add to the mystery, new discoveries are being made from time to time with emergence of internationally rare sea organisms, saltwater creatures known to be extinct at least centuries ago, and unidentified species presumed to be linked to the said creatures by biological evolution.
And only the most foolish, unprofessional of all reporters and journalists would miss an opportunity to explore such haven, as long as they are in company of the Central Knights. For this very reason, reporters at Lukedonia had been toiling for the past few days to take at least a snapshot of a rare species of fish that feeds by the surface only when the sun is about to rise.
To their disappointment, they found themselves getting packed after picking up a bunch of scenes that were not pleasurable at all.
“They’re definitely dead.”
One of the reporters lamented as he reviewed one of the pictures he took underwater two days ago.
“Before we set off on our expedition, I did some background studies on coral reefs in case we’d ever get to visit this place. And now I can tell whether a coral reef is dead or not.”
“That’s not all casualty we witnessed. Check this out.”
Another man pushed the camera towards him, after rewinding part of the footages recorded. Upon the screen showed bodies of fishes, lifeless, soon joined by more fish corpses.
“Is there some sort of sea epidemic trending these days?”
“Beats me. Biology wasn’t my favorite subject during high school.”
“Do you think destruction of marine life is reaching out to this place as well?”
“I heard some experts are arguing they should make the Bermudan Treasure Chest a special area to be put under worldwide protection. And I’d say it’d be best to do so.”
“I feel so guilty for being human...”
“But who cares? Once the sun comes alive, we must eternally part ways with...”
Just then, sound of someone knocking the door broke the air and silenced them. The reporters exchanged nervous looks; nobody has ever visited them at this hour.
They opened the door to find two Central Knights.
“Please excuse us. We figured you gentlemen might be awake, since we could hear voices. Are we interrupting by any chance...?”
“N-not at all. Can I help you?”
“I beg your pardon, but our lord wishes your presence this morning. Could you spare some time as soon as you are done with breakfast?”
When the Central Knight was done speaking, reporters felt as if they were being thrown down the underground tunnel of panic with no return or end.
What could the almighty sovereign of nobles possibly want from them? Reporters whispered among themselves, reaching no conclusion.
The heavy bags under their eyes grew no lighter by the time they stood in the Lord’s Hall.
“We meet again. For once.”
Lascrea meant no harm or foul at all with her greetings, yet the reporters turned rigid like a rabbit that spotted a tiger.
“I must apologize for summoning you so early. I have a gathering with heads of clans today, so I determined this is the only time I could speak with you.”
“Uh, i-it’s okay! You have done so much for us all this time. This is nothing.”
“And we’re pretty much used to waking up early, so it’s no big deal.”
Reporters attempted to melt the ice, if not completely break it, in vain. Lascrea’s face displayed not the slimmest change, and she thereby unintentionally provoked drought upon the reporters’ salivary glands.
“There is something that I must inquire to all of you.”
Lascrea’s lips pressed tautly, as if she had gone through thousands of deliberations before she decided to hold this meeting.
The reporters stood waiting for her to continue, while the drought moved on from their salivary glands to sweat glands. And at last, Lascrea started to speak.
(next chapter)
Aaaaand I bring you an unexpected character long forgotten XD During Season 4 of Noblesse, I thought Takio and Yuigi would be given deeper story and more character development. There was a scene in which Takio looked unusually tense while Frankie’s family was getting a briefing on the Cerberus, and following Takio’s scene was Yuigi’s face drawn with extra care. So I figured they must share some sort of past, which never happened :( So I decided to bring her back in my fanfic (after all, it wasn’t officiated that she died), and I have a good reason for choosing her as a character for my fanfic, which has yet to be revealed at a good time in the future.
Also, the blood-red coral reef and the “Bermudan Treasure Chest” are my creations. Yes, coral reef does exist in marine regions classified as part of the Bermudan Triangle, but there is no blood-red coral reef region. Hope that clarifies!

Fairy Light Lovers | Saiyuri | Chapter Two | Katherine
Okay so this "vacation" sucked. People were dead, others were tired, others on edge, nervous, and scared. Yuri felt the full gambit of these emotions (minus the "dead" part) over the last few days. The only silver lining she could find was the company of her roommate and maybe-girlfriend, the talented and beautiful and wonderful Katherine Ueda. Now, Saiyuri knew well enough that this setting wasn't exactly ideal for courting someone, but she might as well make the best of the amenities that were available to her. Besides, a nature walk with a beautiful girl sounded like the perfect thing to lift her spirits.
So here she was, waiting in their shared cottage for her roomie to come home. Of course, nerves were getting her if only a little bit despite the fact that the chance of being rejected was minimal. Still, she couldn't help the butterflies in her stomach nor the pounding of her heart. Maybe, juuuust maybe, they'd make this little fling of theirs official tonight. The get-away indeed sucked. Katherine ended up losing two old classmates, one being a very good friend of hers. Since Aki's murderer Saiyuri would have to handle a very distressed Katherine. Sure, Saiyuri got to hold and cuddle her which was a plus, but she would be sobbing quietly. The reason for Katherine's closeness was a sad and somber one. In good news, Katherine has been in a slightly better mood lately. While she was still sad over Aki's death, it seemed like she was finally getting through the mourning.
Which was a perfect time to get closer?
Saiyuri's maybe-girlfriend walked in casually, holding a few bags of food. It was nice that more food sources have opened up. One can only eat so many burgers before growing sick of them. "Hey, Yuri-chan." Katherine started putting the food away, "How are you feeling today?"
"Welcome home, Kathy-chan!"
Yuri got to her feet the moment Katherine walked through the door. Ever polite, she walked over to help put groceries away, trying not to think about how wonderfully domestic and sweet the scene would be in a different context. She'd take what she could get though.
"Honestly, things are kinda crummy, buuuut I know you know that." She closed the cabinets of their kitchenette once she had finished putting away her part. Turning to face Kathy, she smiled, excited to finally extend her invitation. "I thought about something though! We have more places to go now, right? You haven't really been out and about much since... Well, since Aki." Her voice softened when she brought up Kathy's late friend. She still had trouble treading lightly with that.
"I thought it might be nice if we went on a walk together in the nature part that just opened. What do you think?" It was cute to hear that, to hear welcome home was such a heart warming thing to hear. Living with Saiyuri truly has helped Katherine get through this and her cheery attitude kept Katherine's smile up. The two have gotten closer lately, not saying that they didn't hit it off the moment they met but what was first an exciting blossom of a very gay start has cooled into loving relationship that each of them are too shy to make an actual move.
Hearing Saiyuri's mood, Katherine gave her a little nod, everything was crummy but weeping wasn't getting them any closer to getting out of this place. "I guess I have been a bit of a hermit since Aki's trial... Maybe some fresh air would do me good..." With all the food put away Katherine walked over to her bag, "A walk sounds wonderful, but before we go... I got this thing from the fortune teller and I think you might like it." From her bag she pulled out the light up frame, "I-uh... Maybe once we get out of here and this all becomes a memory... We can take a picture together and put it in this frame... Here, it's for you." The taller girl held out the gift with a blush. "Oh my gosh!!!" She took the frame, examining it and switching it on and off a couple of times for good measure. "Kathy-chan I love this!! Ugh, I swear if I had my phone we could fill it right away. Ahhh!" She stood on her tip toes and threw her arms around Kathy's neck, hugging her for all she's worth. "I love it! Thank you so much!!"
Though reluctant to let go, she did if only to examine the gift a bit more. Of course she would need to pay her back somehow. Maybe she should give that weird machine a try, she did have a bunch of those coins saved up. She couldn't let a gift go unmatched, after all!
After taking a brief moment to set it on their table, she turned to Kathy.
"So! How about that walk? I wanna see what that fairy tree is like." The reaction to the gift was just what she was hoping for! Saiyuri was happy with the gift, so happy that she hugged her. "I'm glad you like it, Saiyuri." She wrapped her arms around her roommate. The blush on her face didn't go away.
"Right! The walk sounds lovely, Yuri-chan." She walked over to the door and opened it, "Let's go see that fairy tree. It sounds as cute as you." And so they went. Saiyuri held her tablet with the (rather unhelpful) map in one hand and gently took Katherine's own hand with the other. They walked through the village as the sun was beginning to set, providing a beautiful backdrop for their outing. Or should she refer to it as a date?
As she walked hand in hand with Kathy, Yuri was quiet, opting to take in the scenery and get lost in her own thoughts. Of course, her mind quickly wandered back to the other girl. She seemed fine now, but...
"Hey, Kathy-chan? You sure you're okay?" This was nice. A calming walk at sunset, holding hands with a cute girl, it was all very ideal for a date… That is what this is, right? Well, Katherine will just quietly assume that it is unless told otherwise. Regardless this best way to forget the horrible situation the group is in. Katherine seems rather calm, feeling herself relax by just touching Saiyuri’s hand.
Hearing Yuri’s concern, it was clear that she was still worried for Katherine’s state from Aki’s recent murder. “Yuri-chan, I… I am not okay and I honestly doubt I ever will be okay… All of this is so overwhelming but… I can’t sit around forever. It isn't fixing what happened… All I can do is hope for the best…” she rubbed her thumb over Saiyuri’s hand, “Thank you for being there for me… You comfort me so well. I can only imagine what sort of mess I'd be without you…” Yuri smiled at that. She normally wouldn't be one to grieve for very long, but she had no idea how close Kathy and Akihiko were. She wouldn't presume to know either. If all she could do was comfort the other girl, then by all powers that exist, she would.
"I wouldn't just leave you in the lurch you know! I..." What exactly should she say? Should she vocalize her deeper feelings now? Was it the right time? "I care about you. A lot! I really do, and when someone comes to get us, when we get out, I wanna still be there for you."
They were getting into the more thickly forrested area now. She took it as an opportunity to crowd in just a bit closer.
"Also, you're not too shabby yourself with the whole comfort thing." Saiyuri was so sweet and always seemed to be cheerful if nothing else. It really brought out the better parts of Katherine, who felt like she could be a little numb time to time. “I care deeply for you too, Saiyuri…” It made her heart beat a bit to say that. “When we get out of here… I want us to still be together, Y’know? I can't imagine us not being around each other after everything we been through… and what we might have to go through.” Romantic situation or not, they can't forget that this little murder game the Fool is putting them through isn’t over.
“Am I? I'm glad you think so… I’m not all that well versed in organic emotions so I never really thought that I’d be good at comforting… I’m probably learning from you, Yuri-chan. You're unbelievable sweet… You're so sweet I could eat you up.” That was a good line she has heard from a few different films… That was a good line right? “These woods are pretty thick… It's a good place for privacy.” Had it not been for the setting sun and cover of the trees, Katherine might've seen how much her comments made Saiyuri blush. Damn!! These lines weren't revolutionary or anything but come on!! Katherine was the one saying them!!
"W-well..." Goodness gracious what was she to say to that? "I guess I wouldn't mind that so much." She looked up at Kathy through her lashes, hoping she looked as cute as she wanted to. She had to impress!
"You know... I am glad we have more room now. I was dying to ask you out you know." She said it! For sure, now it's an established date. She looked up at Kathy to gauge her reaction. "I never took myself for a nature date kinda girl until now." It is a date!!! Yes!!! That conformation made her heart beat more. Thank goodness for heavy makeup or her face would be beet red. So, this is a date, what should she say? Or do? Should she smooch her? No, too soon. “I guess that is one good thing about the trial. We have more room to roam and… have dates to go on.” Katherine looked happy, there was a goofy smile on her face as she looked at everything except for Saiyuri’s face.
“I'm glad you asked me out, Saiyuri-chan… This is my first time being with a girl and I'm honestly having a good time…” It reminded her of the times she has been with boys. Nothing ever make her heart skip a beat when she was with her old boyfriends like how Saiyuri makes her feel, “I like you a lot… I-is that too bold? I'm use to quick relationships but I don't know if you like to take things slower or not but…” There was a lump in her throat, “I just like you… a lot… Wait. I already said that...” June 9, 2017 "No! Not too bold at all!" Saiyuri was smiling happily up at the other girl, over the moon with how well she took the whole date concept. "I like you so so much!! Honestly? I haven't had long relationships either. Things were waaaaay too busy and then my flirting hasn't really gotten me a long term girlfriend basically ever, which sucks, but I think this time is different right?"
She squeezed Kathy's hand lightly. They were rounding the bend now, and it was nearly completely dark out. Where was this fairy tree thing anyway? Surely they must be getting close.
"Kathy-chan, you're so cute... You know that right? Like, how ridiculously cute you are?" “Being kidnapped and forced in some freaky village to play murder games is just a good time as ever to go on dates and start relationships… At least it will show that if a relationship can survive here it can survive whatever problems day to day life might throw.” Katherine lifted Saiyuri's hand and left a big pink blue kiss mark on the the back of her palm. “I think I'd be lucky to have you on my side during this… Anyone would be lucky to have you as a girlfriend.”
Hearing her compliments made Katherine turn her face off to the side, sadly not letting Saiyuri see whatever reaction her words were having on her, “Thank you, Yuri-chan. I hope you know that you're stunning…” Yuri opened her mouth to retaliate, deflect it and say that Kathy was the more stunning of the two of them, but the sight of something stopped her. The fairy tree stood next to the path, lit by countless small lanterns and larger than one could imagine. It was absolutely gorgeous.
"Well, we're here!" Saiyuri smiled and started towards it, pulling Katherine along. "Now, I don't really know why it's called a fairy tree? But if we caught a glimps of a fairy somehow, I'd take it as a sign of good luck, don't you think?" Eena - Last Saturday at 8:49 AM Seeing the beautifully lit tree ahead of them was certainly a sight to behold. It was wonderful, and very romantic, so spending some time under the tree is a good moment to make a real move.
Katherine walked over with Saiyuri until they were standing near the bark of the tree. "Actually, fairies should be anything but good luck since they're tricksters but... I don't think we need a fairy..." Katherine slowly put her hands on Yuri's waist, pulling her in close to her body, "I have all the luck I need with me right now... And what a beautiful lucky charm she is..." Katherine face was deep red, her light brown eyes was looking at Saiyuri, waiting for her reaction. Saiyuri's eyes blew wide at Kathy's compliments. She opened and closed her mouth a few times, meaning to get some sort of counter out, but found she was simply too flustered to do so. Finally, she opted just to bury her face in Katherine's shoulder, effectively hiding her blush.
"Y'know," she began, voice muffled. "I didn't think anyone could possibly out-flirt me but you take the cake on that."
It took another moment for her to look back up at Kathy, but when she did, she accompanied it with a smile. Her arms wrapped around the other girl's waist.
"You know what I think would make this better? How about a kiss for good luck?" "A kiss?... Well, I might break my back trying to get to your level... Unless." Katherine, having a sudden burst of courage, bent her knees and wrapped her arms around Saiyuri's waist. The actress lifts her with an unseen strength, lifting Saiyuri to Katherine's height. She then pinned her back to the trunk of the tree. Katherine had her body pressed up against Yuri's to make sure she wouldn't lose grip.
"There we go. It will make this a lot better..." There was a soft smile as she leaned her head in, giving the lovely singer a kiss under the light of the tree. Yuri squeaked involuntarily when Kathy hoisted her up, face turning even more red. She gladly wrapped her legs around Kathy's waist, making sure she wouldn't fall. That'd be an awful thing to have happen right now. Total mood-breaker.
Besides, who knew someone would actually pick her up for a kiss? And oh, what an amazing kiss it was. Saiyuri closed her eyes and kissed back tenderly, feeling as though she'd died and gone to heaven.
It was over too early, though. They pulled away from each other and Yuri was speechless. She stared half-lidded at Kathy, heart pounding in her chest. Katherine just melted into the kiss. It was such a warm feeling that rushed through her chest. All the time she has wasted doing this with her old lovers, no one has made her feel this way. Saiyuri was something very different and Katherine was loving every moment of it.
When they parted, Katherine looked over Saiyuri's face... And she started giggling. While she laughed Katherine pressed her forehead against Saiyuri's, "My lipstick looks good on you." The moment Kathy started giggling, Saiyuri couldn't help but follow suit. At the actress's comment, she smiled wide, blush still bright and warm on her cheeks.
"I think we missed a spot though."
With that, she went in for another kiss excitedly, wrapping her arms around Kathy's neck. "Oh, did we?" There was goofy grin on the actress's blushing face before going back into another kiss. Saiyuri could hear Katherine happily humming in it.
Once they pulled away Katherine moved one arm away from Yuri's waist and to her face, palming her cheek. She rubbed her thumb against her cheek. Katherine stared into the singer's eyes, her own full of loving affection. "... I wish we could have met back at the academy... Who knows what could have been different... For us." Starting a relationship in a murder game could put a lot of stress under the pair.
"Well...better late than never, right? And hey, it's not like we're never getting out of here."
She punctuated the sentiment with a peck to Kathy's cheek.
"We'll be rescued, we'll leave here, we'll be together forever and we'll invite everyone to our wedding. Doesn't that sound fun? I know a few venues that might be really nice." "We kiss and you jump to weddings? You are certainly in a rush for a perfect ending." At least Saiyuri's words moved Katherine's thought from their current reality. "But a wedding sounds wonderful!" She moved her girlfriend away from the tree and helped her down to the floor. "If we get out of here with our wits still with us, we can handle anything the outside world will throw at us."
Katherine took one of Saiyuri's hands and put the other on her hip, "Imagine our first dance. We're both in beautiful dresses, the people we love are around us watching but we'll only see each other." Saiyuri giggled at that. "What can I say? Love at first kiss is totally possible! Besides, it may just be because I want to show off how i look in different dresses. And of course admire you in one too."
When Katherine set her down and took her hand, Yuri couldn't help but press a kiss to Kathy's fingers, enjoying their warmth. "I already only see you, darling. It's hard to take my eyes off of you, did you know that?" "I had a feeling. You're not very subtle in your staring, Saiyuri..." She giggled.
"Love at first kiss, hm?" She giggled. "Well, if we are to get married, we need to get engaged first..." She bend down and gave her a kiss on top of her head, "And that means I need to propose to you... I want that to be perfect as I can make it here. So, please give me some time to get that ready." She pulled away but was still holding her hand.
"We better get back home, my love." Those words felt so nice to say. "It's getting late..."
With that, the two lovers made their way out of the forest, returning to their bed to dream of a future where they are free from Cliffside.
