Richard Jackdaw

(ravenclaw MC)

i need to insane post about him because there's not enough in-game Jackdaw content and i am obsessed with this funky little man. based, of course, on the actual canon character and @ask-richard-jackdaw

i put him in Ravenclaw because that was the only house i hadn't played yet, and i thought canon Jackdaw might be one. he loves puzzles, after all.

then i remembered he's kind of dumb. 'adeiu. is that latin... or...greek?' it's okay, we still love him <3

he was still a student when he died, but he was also working as an assistant at Ollivander's, so the widely accepted headcanon is that he was likely a 7th year, either 17 or barely turned 18 when he died. i know in game the MC is supposed to be a 5th year but i'm ignoring that :3

in reality, i think Jack fits in either Slytherin or Gryffindor. my Jack would probably be a Gryf tbh. only someone with balls of steel would go into the haunted Hogsmeade shop AND the lady's spider infested basement when he's got severe arachnophobia.

now i just feel like image dumping so you all can see how adorable he is. i have no idea how i pulled this off. i simp so hard for a character i made in a video game based off another character in the exact same video game. i'm. super normal (lying)

Infos about 4 Sophies :

- Gryf!Sophie:

+ Confident and very frankly; doesn’t afraid to speak her mind out loud

+ An outgoing and optimist person which let her make lots of friends and companions

+ Will willingly fight anyone who hurts her friends

+ Sometimes becomes reckless and competitve, especially about the Curse Vault

+ Determined to break all the Curse Vaults and find Jacob to prove that she’s a better person than both Jacob and what people thought she would be

- Huff!Sophie:

+ “ A smile a day keep bad things away” is her motto

+ Kind and generous, always ready to help who need helps

+ Depending on each person, she can be either sociable or very timid

+ Hardworking; tried her best at school so that no one can bad-mouth her or compare her to Jacob

+ An honest girl but also a naive one

+ Wanted everyone to be happy or at least nothing bad will ever happened

+ Wanted to find Jacod and help him fix his mistakes, believed that he deserved a chance to apologize and become a better person

-Rav!Sophie:

+ An easy-going person who just want to study at a magical school

+ Calm and collected, tried not to cause any problems. Jacob’s one is already enough for her to deal

+ Simply “ Go with the flow” to everythings unless it’s related to her

+ Dreamy girl with a lot of things in her mind, but always paid attention to people she cared

+ A teacher’s pet

+ Jacob is considered as a stranger to her so she didn’t bother to find him

+ She only broke the Curse Vault because everyone assumed it was her responsibility as Jacob’s sister and she was just too tired to deal with them everyday

-Sly!Sophie:

+ A cautious and observant girl who won’t let anyone embarassed her and her friends

+ Often had negative thoughts but try not to let it affecting herself

+ Believed that people will either use her / mock her due to her origins so she didn’t have many friends. That’s also the reason she treasured her friends a lot

+ Looks like she could kill you but secretly a cinnamon roll

+ Very rational and responsible

+ She decided to find Jacob (along with destroy the Curse Vault) so that people could no longer bother her and she could gain a better reputation for herself and her family

Review: [Explicit] MC Gryf: Witches Ain’t Shit

Note: This EP is not remotely safe for work or sensitive ears.

MC Gryf asserts himself from the very first verse of “Where My Mudbloods At?”: “I been writin’ rhymes since Albus Dumbledore bit the dust.” This first entry on his “Witches Ain’t Shit” EP is an aggressive one, with MC Gryf talking shit on Slytherin House, while also celebrating his status as a mudblood. “They hate on Hermione, a mudblood just like me, if you wanna draw that wand and throw a curse then just try me.”

“Marauder’s Map Rap” opens with a synth-heavy narration of the introduction to the map we all know and love. He also throws in a Gandalf quote, which made this reviewer’s nerdy heart skip a beat: “I might be showing up a minute later than you, but a wizard shows up exactly when he means to.” What follows is a walk-through of MC Gryf spying on each House in their common rooms. Ravenclaw: “They’re just sittin’ there studying, being boring as balls.” Hufflepuff: “Cedric Diggory’s got a big-ass line of witches to bone.” Slytherin: “Oh my God, what a mess, Draco’s tryin’ to rhyme and ain’t nobody impressed.” Based on those assessments, it should come as no surprise that Gryffindor gets the most praise in this song.

“Hit It Like a Hufflepuff” is a raucous, raunchy anthem akin to old school Swish and Flick jams. The phrase “let me show you my Elder Wand” appears, and that should be all you need to know. Next up, “I Got Magic Flow” demonstrates exactly that. This song is a slower tempo, which lets MC Gryf rap with a chill, quiet confidence.

The last track, “We’re Brave,” opens with a drum and bass line reminiscent of your favorite Janet Jackson jam. MC Gryf espouses the traits of his house: Gryffindor’s don’t quit, even when there’s a whole world telling you that your worst fears are going to come true. “Bravery is feelin’ fear and goin’ in anyway.” The rest of the song is more uplifting than any other track on the EP. MC Gryf raps about how, if you really want to be brave, don’t give up on your dreams: “walk for it, run for it, apparate or fly for it, fight for it, cry for it.” In MC Gryf’s eyes and final song, we’re *all* brave, and we all have a capacity to *be* brave.

To finish, I need to be completely honest with you, readers. I wish I could have just given you a transcript of every single verse on this entire EP. That’s how good it is. Every single line is a true gem of wizard rap. Go check out his Valentine’s single, too: Chocolate Cauldrons of Love.
