New York City was always cold during winter, snow falling down and covering it completely during December, yet it was so alive during the month because of Christmas fast approaching and the new year coming in tow as well. It was always seen as magical, but living in the city all your life, you can say otherwise, but you can’t deny that spiderman makes it a little more enjoyable. Yet you couldn’t forget Norman Osborn, fiance and owner of Oscorp.

He was such a dedicated and hard working man, full of passion for his company and cared for all his employees like they were his family. That personality extended towards you and was the reason you became so drawn to him. He was a science man who just wanted to further human evolution and create new drives in the world, new technology to better help people, him and Otto Octavius were a force to be reckoned with. Big change was coming, you knew that, while not soon, but eventually.

Norman always had the house warm for you, warmer than the other residents would have preferred, but even with your insistence that it was fine, he always kept it exactly at the temperature you wanted. In an effort to let his son be happy, he let Harry go to a Christmas party today with Peter and Mary and decided to give Benard the day off to do whatever he’d like. It was not just because he was feeling kind today, no, it was because he wanted to spend today with you just lazily lounging around the large house.

And you were doing just that, cuddling up next to your husband-to-be with the fireplace on and watching your favorite movie on the large-screen television while shoveling popcorn into your mouths with a large blanket draped over the both of you He also took the day off today and in turn yours, feeling as if those at Oscorp deserve to rest for all the hard work they had done. Times like these were rare since he spent most of his time working in the labs or at his study, stressing out over every single thing that went wrong and oftentimes too deep into his successful projects about how he could improve them.

“You seem relaxed” the comforting voice you knew so well impeded your thoughts as he gently rubbed your arm, causing you to turn and see that he was looking directly at you, his eyes having a softness to it with a small smile on his face. He was so close, it made you feel safe to be in his arms.

“Well how could I not be in a situation like this Norman? It feels like heaven, it's been a long time since we had time together like this” giggling, you grabbed his cheek and gently pinched it while slightly moving his head back and forth which caused a giggle in return. Feeling a warm and bigger hand encompassing yours, he moved the hand away from his face and grabbed the other that was around his shoulders, bringing them together and holding him close.

“I know honey, it’s been a while, but investors seem very happy at the progress that's being made and I couldn’t stop. I’ll make sure to take more breaks dear, ok? Just sit there, be pretty, be happy, and my future wife” at the last word he smooshed your foreheads together and rubbed his nose against yours, causing butterflies to erupt in your chest while you couldn’t help but laugh. He was the love of your life, first meeting him during your first day working at Oscorp as a secretary and somehow managing to spill coffee on him by bumping into the man that was meant for your co-worker. He was very understanding since first days are always extremely stressful and anxiety inducing. After that, he started to show up at your desk, saying hello and walking through every day, usually with a smile you couldn’t help but melt at. And safe to say- you kept being promoted after spending more time with him and learning that he just needs to be loved again after his wife passed years ago.

“You know I don’t like to sit still, I’m a woman not a precious doll that needs to be ogled at” remarks like those were always passed between you two, especially during work since being together wasn’t guaranteed, it became something to fill the void during those times. He certainly believed you were capable of handling yourself as he employed many female scientists that do as much work as the men, you meant everything to him and he fears that one day, you might be gone like his first. You made damn sure he knew was loved and that you weren’t going anywhere, and even if you did end up leaving for whatever reason, that you will always be there in heart.

“Well I’m the only one that can look at you that way my love, no one else. Say, I’ve been wanting to make something to eat for a while, care to join me?” a smirk soon etched its way across his face as he stood up and stretched his hand out. Smiling, you took it and stood up, him taking the lead to the kitchen to make something to eat.
