This is the Tūī that Gordon tamed and taught to say ‘Virgil! Virgil! Virgil!’ :D He’s sitting on the one harakeke plant (New Zealand Flax) Grandma has managed to keep alive on the Island 😁

This took me all day to glue and edge. Did my threads continually get caught on the flowers? Yes, yes they did. Am I a little less sane than I was this morning? Possibly.

But it is finished!!!!!!

I had some peeps asking for a photo of my finished scarf. I was waiting for the mannequin I ordered to arrive, and it arrived today 😁 So here is my finished scarf 😁

And here is a bonus photo of the mannequin in full. My kids stuck a piñata llama head on it. Cos apparently that’s what you do 😁 I now have a shrine to Anubis in my loungeroom

Spent a considerable time today designing and creating this 12 strand kumihimo 😁 I had to split plies to do it and it is heavily affected by tension. I hope to make a pair of earrings out of this braid 😁

My latest hat created with the gorgeous Raspberry Squash 8ply 100% merino wool from @yarnknotsbylily 😁 I stole a couple of extra skeins if this yarn from my sister, so I will be playing with it again down the track. Thank you for your lovely dye work 😁

I shoulda stopped at 78 stitches, drat it, 84 is now a little too big.

But 78 is not a groovy number, 84 is much nicer. Guess we’ll all just have to grow bigger heads 😁
