Summary: Just a quick intro piece for JJ, my newest OC. The SF is on a night mission to clear a weapons depot warehouse and Falcon Company provides air support. TY @bihanspookies for being my bestie and always reading my nonsense. And for screaming about JJ with me <3

The weapons warehouse is bathed in moonlight by the time Sonya and her squad reach it. It looms above them like a giant metal behemoth against the inky black sky.

Inside, she knows the space will be crawling with Black Dragon mercenaries; she's only brought a small strike team, they'll be relying on support from above if they intend to be successful.

The plan is simple- rappel in and drop teargas, push the ones they can't kill themselves out for Falcon Company to eliminate.

As if on cue, her earpiece comes to life.

"Blade, this is Falcon-01, we are on approach," Jeremiah Mitchell's grating southern drawl is unmistakable, even with the sound of the AC-130 thrumming in the background.

"Copy, Falcon, we have eyes on the warehouse. Wait for the laser before engaging."

"Copy."

Inside the roaring warplane, JJ strides down the center of the hold, his hands resting comfortably on the straps of his plate carrier. The rest of Falcon Company muddles around the interior, inspecting the ammunition as it's loaded into the side canons.

"Alright, Falcons, this is it!" he calls and they all look at him with rapt attention, "Tip of the spear, edge of the knife. We go in hot and loud, and we make these fuckers pay for every one of ours they put in the ground. Understood?"

A resounding 'HOORAH!' echoes back at him and he's satisfied. He makes his way up to the cockpit where the pilot team guides the warplane toward the warehouse.

"Keep eyes on the west side, thermals. Look for the infrared. Blade's strike team is gonna try'n force 'em out that way."

The pilots respond in the affirmative and he steps back, watching through the reinforced windows as they approach the site. JJ's heart is always banging out a rhythm like a wardrum when they're in the air- the ground team is in their hands for better or for worse.

Sonya's IR laser erupts to life and the AC-130 makes a sharp bank, pulling into a pylon turn to orbit the building. They're flying low, just 7k above the ground, enough to keep them safe from RPGs, but close to give his team a good visual.

JJ takes a seat at one of the CCTV monitors and watches as the 25MM gunner takes aim at the western set of doors. Below, Sonya and her team rappel in from the rooftop and drop tear gas that gives them an upper hand.

"Falcon, this is ground team," Sonya sounds out of breath as she radios in, "you've got hostiles incoming."

The AC-130 banks and gives the gunner a perfect view of the mercs as they exfil.

"Falcon-06, you have carte blanche authority," JJ glances down the hold and the soldier nods before returning his attention to the console.

The first burst of shots takes out a wave of mercs and he sees a few of them look skyward. Hello assholes. Some of them branch off and head for cover, while another group makes for the row of jeeps to the north.

"Switch to 105 Mike-Mike, take out those Jeeps."

Falcon-04 and 07 load a Howitzer into the tube and it fires, recoiling into the hold. Below, the missile hits ground and the jeeps erupt into balls of flame and bits of metal. The mercs that were closing in drop to the ground in heaps.

"That's how we do it, Falcons!" JJ shouts and another round of loud 'HOORAH's echoes around him.

"Falcon, watch your fire!" Sonya cries into his earpiece, "We don't want any structural damage."

JJ rolls his eyes, "Copy that, Blade. Boys, stick to 25."

The rest of the mercs have taken cover in a small building outside the warehouse; it doesn't look reinforced- the 25MM will punch through with ease. Falcon-06 aims the guidance system and sends a burst into the roof; JJ watches with satisfaction on his own monitor as the rounds tear through the metal and into the mercs beneath it. Dodge that.

Another wave of them erupts from the doors. By now, they've wised up to the air support, branching off in multiple directions for a better chance at scraping by with their lives.

God, he wants to send them to hell with the 105.

Instead, he watches as Falcon-06 expertly times his shots, peppering the asphalt with lead that shreds through half a dozen mercs, then pivots, and takes out another two. Next to him, the belt feeds into the gun and kicks out empties that clatter to the metal floor.

"No visual on the remaining mercs," Falcon-06 calls. There had been at least ten- the area was wooded, they were probably streaking through the trees as they speak.

Fuck it.

"Hit the treeline with the 105," JJ will deal with Sonya's ire later. Don't bring the big guns if you don't intend to fire them.

Falcon-04 and 07 kick out the empty Howitzer shell and load another before aiming the guidance system at the treeline. The canon kicks back and the missile hits ground with a blast that levels the first few rows of trees. He makes out the bodies of at least a few of the mercs as the trees burn. It's good enough for him, as long as the others make it back to base with PTSD.

"Blade, we're clear out here. How copy?"

The radio is silent for a moment and he knits his brows.

"Blade, how copy?"

"Clear, but no sign of Kano," Sonya sounds irritated. Whether it's with his actions or the lack of Kano, he has no idea. Her obsession with the Black Dragon clan leader is lost on JJ; it drives her as if she is captain Ahab and he the white whale.

"Rog. Falcon is pulling out, we'll see you on the ground," JJ makes his way to the cockpit once more and turns to face the crew, "Good work, boys. We'll be back in time for dinner."

"Let's get this bird home."

Job/Role: Mafia Heir (Underboss of the Family)

Species: Human

Personality: Thanks to his role in the family, Luke grew up confident, outgoing and fearless. He’s fiercely protective over his family, even his brother Max who keeps trying to take his place. Can be harsh, and has no problems using violence to get his own way, although he does prefer non-violent methods wherever possible.

Background: Luke is the eldest of three brothers (Max and Rick). From an early age he was brought up in the family business, with the intention that he become the next Boss after his father. He’s spent most of his life doing what his father wanted, working his way up through the Family until he was second-in-command, even marrying a “nice Italian girl”, Isabella, because he felt it was expected of him. The only thing that’s kept Luke in said marriage is his fifteen-year-old son, Francesco, but that hasn’t stopped him from straying over the years. 

These days, Luke runs most of the day-to-day business and is close to taking over completely.

Supply Drop - A jet drops a supply crate, which JJ opens, rifles through, and produces a stuffed animal, which he holds toward the camera.

Fatalities

Swiss Cheese (Mid) - JJ produces his GShG 7.62 and fires through the center of his opponent until the audience can see through their middle with their spine exposed. JJ then approaches and kicks through their spine, which folds them in half.

Second to None (Close) - JJ sprints at the opponent, shoots their knees out with his pistol, and then as they're on their knees with their head bent low, JJ spears an American flag through their skull and into the floor. Their head slowly slides down the pole until they're flat on the ground and he salutes the flag.

Kharacteristics

JJ is slow, but a heavy hitter. His GShG 7.62 can be used as a special attack, but the aim is sporadic, though when the bullets do hit, they do significant damage.

JJ had a friend while in the service, Jason, who branched off and started his own company, Red Claw, shortly after they got out of the military. But they became more like mercenaries, taking on protection jobs for warlords and dictators and intercepting weapons. In a particular incursion, Red Claw killed some of Falcon Company's men. JJ asked him to meet under the guise of catching up, exchanging business. JJ shot him point blank and never looked back.

CORN

JJ isn't a stealth guy, but he's a hunter and a tracker, so he can find his way very well.

AVOCADO

His love of America. It's embarrassing.

KIWI

JJ has a very cocky exterior, and he is often the loudest and most obnoxious person in the room. Inside, he's not necessarily insecure, but he just wants someone he can be normal around. Someone who will tell him he doesn't have to be that guy. He's still VERY cocky, don't get me wrong lol.

Personality: Awkward, Mild-Mannered, Slightly paranoid at times, Friendly enough

Background: A surgeon at the local hospital, Jeremiah learnt of the Supernatural years before when operating on someone with super fast healing. He set about researching the community afterwards, getting himself into a couple of sticky patches when he dug too deep. Eventually he came to an agreement with some different races. They’d allow his curiosity in the unknown in return for him taking on any supernatural cases that entered the hospital, something which suited them as it meant there then wasn’t yet more doctors learning of their existance.

Verses: Knows of the Supernatural, has dealt with them in the hospital before

Background: Alice was raised in the Church of Night, but as a child she got lost in the woods and was found by humans, a couple who couldn’t have children so raised her as their own. She knew enough of her background to know she had magic and after leaving college she went in search of her real family. She never found them, but she did find another coven of witches, who put her through the Dark Baptism so she could come into her powers. They accepted her wishes to live a dual life however, allowing her to attend a human university whilst training her in magic at night.

Powers: Spellcasting of various kinds through incantations and rituals; The making of potions; Telekinesis; Communication with a Familiar; Warding/Shielding

Personality: Smart, Driven, Friendly, Slightly twisted sense of humour. Not afraid of using his powers to suit himself, Doesn’t like to physically harm others however. 

Background: Richard was raised by his human mother and it wasn’t until he was a teenager that his father came to find him. By then, Richard was firmly entrenched in the lad of mortals and whilst he learnt how to use his powers from his father, he refused to join him and use them to harm others. His powers are much weaker than a full Djinn, but in return he doesn’t have to feed off human blood to survive.

Richard does use his powers at work though. He accesses people’s desires on what they want most in a house and builds them exactly what they want, making himself a lot of money in the process. 

Powers: Can tell someone’s deepest desires; Can cause mild hallucinations although they don’t last long; Can dreamwalk through other’s dreams

Ava Mae Porter-Mitchell

Job/Role: Scene of Crime Officer/Photographer

Personality: Bright, Bubbly, Cheerful, Outgoing, Stubborn (don’t ever tell her she can’t do something, “she’ll do anything you ask, but nothing you tell her”).

Background: Ava grew up the only girl in a family of four boys, and so learnt at an early age to keep up with whatever they were doing. When she was choosing her subjects for college, her mother told her she couldn’t pick photography because “you’ll never be able to survive on a career in that”. Her father, however, encouraged her to take photography up as a hobby if that was what she loved, going so far as to buy her a fancy camera. When her mother objected again, she insisted on taking the subject, which previously had only been considered as a hobby and a bit of fun. Now however, Ava was determined that she would make her living through photography.  

Upon leaving college, Ava signed up for the police and entered training to become a Scene of Crime Officer (SOCO). She’s worked for the police ever since, although she still does some personal photography on the side, earning extra money by working weddings and various other events.

Malachy Flynn

Age: 158 (looks mid-thirties)

Gender: Male

Job/Role: Forensic Pathologist/Medical Examiner

Species: Necromancer

Personality: An easy-going guy, Mal can be serious when needed but prefers to have a laugh when he can. In fact, Malachy often uses humour as a way to mask his true feelings, only opening up to a very few trusted people. Not especially brave, hates violence, not at all squeamish. Doesn’t really do serious relationships, having never met anyone who convince him to settle down, but enjoys short-term flings and one-night stands. Terrible around kids. Drinks too much, partly as a way of blocking out the ghosts when he’s had enough.

Background: Born in Ireland in 1860, Malachy grew up unable to tell the difference between the living and the ghosts that surrounded him. This became worse when Malachy was 10 and his mother died, as he refused to accept her death since he could still see and interact with her. His father couldn't deal with his son claims and so left, leaving Malachy to be raised in the local orphanage. The priest took an interest in the boy, concerned by his apparent obsession with death, and it was in the church graveyard that Malachy found friends and teachers amongst the ghosts there, learning to control his powers just enough to not rouse people's suspicions even further. 

At fifteen, the fair came to town and Malachy met another necromancer for the first time, Hilda, one who used her powers to make money as a psychic. She refused his first request to become her assistant, preferring to travel alone, but eventually she agreed, after an argument and heated emotions led to several ghosts being thrown back into their corpses. Over the next few years Mal learnt everything there was to know about his powers, and Hilda became a surrogate mother to the young man, to the point that she left him all of her belongings when she died of Cholera nearly two decades later.

Amongst these belongings was a ring, one that Malachy had never seen Hilda take off, and a letter explaining its use. She wasn't sure how it worked, but it halted death and had kept her alive for over a century. You could still die, whether from illness or from serious injury, but so long as you wore the ring you wouldn't age. Tempted by the idea of immortality, Malachy put the ring on.

To start off he took over Hilda's role as psychic in the fair they were currently travelling with, enjoying his time moving from group to group every few years so no-one ever got suspicious at the fact he wasn't aging. Eventually he got bored with the job however. By this point he was in England and Malachy got himself a job first at a funeral home, then went into training as a forensic pathologist. Ever since he's worked at hospital after hospital, moving on every ten to fifteen years to keep from arousing suspicion, faking papers every time he builds a new life.

Powers: Talks to the dead; Interacts with ghosts; Can resurrect the dead; Can summon ghosts; Can summon Death (not to be advised) and reapers; Doesn’t age thanks to his ring

Verses: Supernatural verse
