Brilliant people have said everything that needs to be said about this much much better and I don't got anything substantial to add but I just have to get this off my chest cause y'all I'm still in disbelief
like this is a grown ass person btw oh I simply have to laugh😭
Tumblr media
this perfectly exemplifies literally everything cringe af and wrong with these "assigned welcomers". this is just my scapegoat but there are way worse I've seen
First of all, get a job. how, at your fossil age, do you have time to spend all day scrolling through every single iwtv related post and arguing with people who say anything even slightly damning about lestat (which mind you, is literally just objective facts about things he did). I'll dm you a McDonald's application hell I'll even put in a referral for you out of the goodness of my heart.
Second, Lestat is not a real person. he's fake, a made up character, the figment of someone's imagine, non-existent, people hating him will not affect your life in anyway shape or form. He didn't assign you as his PR agent I promise you'll live. "They'll never accept him" ok and?!?
Question, and I'm genuinely asking, is this their first time in a fandom? why is someone having a different opinion about a character they love enough to send them into hysterics like?? 13 year olds on anime twitter have a better grasp on reality that y'all do get a grip!
And like the above posts have talked extensively about, I most definitely noticed whose posts a specific bunch of them love to go under to share their dog shit "explanation" that nobody asked for. When a black person sees Louis being brutalized by his white lover what do you expect their reaction to be? oaur wow this white french slut is so pussy cunt slay period queen? "but louis is flawed too" do you hear yourself? do you listen to yourself when you speak? can you activate the barest hint of brain activity to understand why we would react differently to what we're watching than you would and that knowledge of the source material has nothing to do with it? Just because you read those shitty books and posses no empathy for black people in media doesn't mean you gain some higher understanding of "gothic romance ".
"No but the thing is you don't understand this is a gothic romance and they're supposed to be monsters and lestat has suffered saur much and he's also the real main character so you must love him" so now how exactly does that negate their point about him being an abuser? quickly! sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up when black people are sharing their thoughts on the show cause who the fuck are you fr and what convinced you that you have the right to argue with them about THEIR experiences. that tweet that said white people act like God left them in charge, yeah.
Funny enough, half the people that are so gung ho about him now didn't even fw him at all when they only read the first book. wow it's almost like you were allowed to sort out your feelings about him on your own without insects disguised as people in your mentions calling you slow for not licking his feet.
I despise so much in this fandom. From the bottom of my heart I really truly do. I don't know what I was expecting, I guess more common sense and maturity because the average age in the fandom is quite high compared to other fandoms I've been in but nah, just mfs screaming and crying bc ppl don't jump up and down and scream yipee! everytime their white fav commits abhorrent, disgusting crimes.
I was so caught up in the euphoria of an anne rice property finally being given to skilled creators who'll pick it apart and say something poignant with it that for a moment, I forgot I lived in a world where majority of its audience would sadly be the anne rice crowd.

I'm very sleep deprived, so I'm taking the easy route straight from your post suggestions (bc I can't form thoughts otherwise rn but want to hear your what you have to say) so what are your thoughts on episode 5 reception then?
I think there's something to be said about how one page in a novel may be nothing at all in the long scheme of things, but there's a common film writing cliché about how one page in a screenplay is equivalent to one minute on screen.
So consider the following excerpt from IWTV, the book:
"And our fragile domestic tranquility erupted with [Lestat's] outrage. He did not have to be loved, but he would not be ignored; and once he even flew at her, shouting that he would slap her, and I found myself in the wretched position of fighting him as I'd done years before she'd come to us."
That's two sentences. And yet, without claiming that this is the exact scene the writers put on screen (because it's most likely not), isn't this pretty close to what happened at the end of episode 5? Claudia was speaking to Louis mentally about finding other vampires, Lestat lunges at her, Louis tackles Lestat and they fight.
But the difference is, "wretched" or not, the book spent 2 sentences and moved on (to another instance of Lestat being irritated by Claudia). Were there any injuries? What did Claudia think about almost being slapped and having to watch her parents fight?
The show on the other hand shows all of that and more.
So I want to stop here and say that I think there are two arguments that people are making regarding episode 5 and I am personally responding to only one of them. The first argument is that the execution of the scene was overly gratuitous and there was no proper trigger warnings. The second argument is that the scene was not only out of character on Lestat's part, but the writers have written themselves into a hole they can't get out of because no one will accept Louis and Lestat as a couple because of episode 5. This latter argument is the one I'm mostly talking about.
Ok, as I continue, I want to look at Claudia's epiphany that Lestat has to go in episode 6. What I find fascinating is how close it was to the book.
This is the excerpt in the book:
"But I know it now," [Claudia] said with authority. "The vampire made a slave of him, and [Lestat] would no more be a slave than I would be a slave, and so he killed him. Killed him before he knew what he might know, and then in panic made a slave of you. And you've been his slave."
Louis denies that and Claudia says.
"No, slave," she persisted in her grave monotone, as though thinking aloud, the words revelations, pieces of a puzzle. "And I shall free us both".
Now admittedly, I have not read IWTV the book. All I have is what others have posted on social media. Maybe my thoughts will change after reading it for myself.
But I think as far as an adaption goes, the show writers had to get us to this moment. And they had to fit the entire arc (Claudia being turned, happy families, things falling apart, murder as the solution) into 3 episodes.
What I find interesting from all the posts I've read from book readers about Lestat's actions in IWTV, is that they'll follow up all the evidence with, "But he said he loves them and that he would not harm him in [insert book here]!"
Why do we have to take his perspective as gospel? I know most people will say that Anne Rice said he's view is the correct one but still. No one denies that Lestat trapped Louis by turning Claudia and threatened to destroy Louis and Claudia if they stepped out of line. It's not a question that Lestat and Louis fought multiple times. With that in mind, why is the logical conclusion that Lestat's threats to hurt them are empty? If the threat was going to work, Louis and Claudia would have had to believe that he could and would harm them.
Additionally, the show made changes to the characters and since they didn't do the easy thing and treat those changes as window dress, those changes had to change the journey to reach the same landmarks in the book.
Claudia in a 14 year old body can do a lot more than Claudia in a 5 year old body can. But both find themselves trapped. When Lestat threatens to destroy her on the show, it's enough to make her go back (and that's saying a lot because she already left and was going to leave again in spite of what happened her first time out) because we've already seen not only how powerful Lestat is, but that he's able to wield that power against his family/fledglings.
This is already pretty long, but I again, long story short, I think when you look at the show in retrospect, the choices make sense to me and were done to serve the larger story instead of a shocking moment for buzz and nothing else. It feels like the writers made a deliberate choice based on their view of the characters from the books and their opinions on what the changes they made to characters would mean (this interview with episode 5's writer is interesting). I'm just not convinced that the differences that people are pointing out between the novel and the show are actually that different at the end of the day.

Hello! I'm confused about something and thought that I'll ask you about this if it's okay.
So, Louis wanted Daniel to think that he killed Lestat at Mardi Gras night and that Lestat is dead. Daniel quickly calls BS and says iconic "what murder? you didn't kill him" speech which evidently destabilizes Louis mentally (he had to go to his garden to calm down). Did Louis react that way because his lies were uncovered or because he lied to HIMSELF?
Also I'm confused, did Louis plan to stop the tale right after he and Claudia ride away? If no, how he would describe the trial without Lestat being one of the major players there? I mean without Lestat being there as The Villain and telling on Claudia, Armand wouldn't be able to do his scheme (to put it lightly).
Also once again did Louis truly believed Lestat wasn't on trial? Or he was planning to lie about it? Or just don't say anything about trial at all? Or he just thought he truly didn't do anything to help Lestat survive but Lestat survived anyway? And if he did, i wonder would he put blame only on Lestat considering that even in the iwtv book where Lestat plays the role of villain and antagonist, his portrayal at trial scene was sympathetic.
I know we'll find out it next season but it's on my mind!
Thank you for answer!
Of course it's ok!!
So I think... that Louis probably wanted to change things in regards to Paris, and even about Claudia. They never got to this part in the first interview in this version of the story, they broke off when Claudia tried to run away, and Daniel wanted the blood from him.
"This is the part of my story, back in San Francisco, where you said, and I paraphrase, "Give it to me. Make me a vampire now."
In fact, I could easily see him intending to go the way the first version of IWTV went, too, namely having Claudia leave with some vamps and disappearing into the night. (Anne had trouble processing this version, and so it was changed, she obviously needed the catharsis coming with the death :/).
But for that version to work... he would need to have a clean, almost problem-free narrative in Paris. No Lestat, no trial. Now, that is impossible, because of course there will be more to it.
I think Louis reacted that way, because he knows he cannot evade the pain now. He has buried that pain, deep within himself, and Daniel made him open that box. And now the pain, this liquid, molten pain is impossible to contain. Louis stores his feelings away in little boxes in his mind, neatly tidied up, but the locks break sometimes.
And Daniel has broken in.
I think the story now will be pulled out by Daniel bit by bit... and it will be quite raw. And of course, Armand is Armand now, and he will be quite the different presence in Dubai now.

Some thoughts on e5 so here there be spoilers, my dudes.
Hm...so I guess there go the Rashid's a vampire theories...he's still hella cute tho. Also clearly having a good time xD
every time this is a plot in a vampire thing I'm like "How did none of you with your hyper-acute senses smell the decay?" How's Louis worried she's not eating when there's literally rotting pieces of corpses all over her room? You'd smell that in the whole upper floor, and it is a very distinctive smell. Bothers me, every damn time xD
How did they get out of this, tho? We're never told. Police is all over them and their (not even properly cleaned) incinerator and then just goes away? I don't know, seems weird.
Drunk Claudia trying to keep that corpse in her closet was funny, tho xD Bailey Bass killing it again, I just love her.
Ok, so she buggers off to go to college. Ok, I can get behind that.
Killer and his Fang Gang! Ok, no gang yet but if Claudia didn't kill him for being The Worst (tm) I'm guessing that's where he's going. Nice cameo idea. Not so happy about the rape subplot, him being an arse and hurting her would have been quite enough to show her other vampires are also arseholes.
Louis and Lestat just turned into hoarders as soon as she buggered off xD what even, boys, do the laundry some times, take out all that trash, honestly...
Oh Grace, you just went and broke his heart, again. Kind of a metal way to say "You're dead to me", tho, gotta admit. She gets points for style.
Well, I am sure glad Claudia went for sister there, not lover. Because that is still a weird thing among many weird things in the books
Oy, boys, you trying to make the house fall down around you? Try not to take out any load baring walls, will you? Guess that fight has been coming for decades, big bada boom.
Ouch, that's gotta hurt. Bad fall you had there, dear. And no one in the neighbourhood's gonna wonder what all that ruckus and blood is about, I take it? xD
Last note: Still at it with the ace erasure *le sigh*
Ok, and now I guess I better stay out of the iwtv tag for like a week because tumblr's gonna be exhausting about this xD remember kids, they're two monsters in love, this was never gonna be a cutesy gay love story. Just saying...

My full IWTV thoughts/feelings/"review" (Part 1).
Ok for a while now I have been wanting to do like a big post talking about all of my main thoughts about the show. I think I went into the show in kind of an odd position because, I'm a book reader, but not a longtime one. I literally just got into them right before the show started airing. I started watching when it started airing and I had finished IWTV and TVL, but then I stopped and decided to at least finish TQOTD before I continued the show.
So, I'm gonna start with all the things I like and then what I didn't.
First of all: The way they just said fuck subtext or lowkey representation and made this fully romantic and horny. One of my issues with the books is that, at least in IWTV (but in a lesser extent the others too?), they keep things in this realm of plausibe deniability where even though things are obviously gay they still don't make it fully explicit. I get that it was 1976, but that doesn't fully change how I feel reading it, you know.
Besides the material itself, from what I understood AR loved to give some vague answers and "let things speak for itself", along with an idea in both books and her comments that vampires don't "need to worry" so to speak with sexual orientations, that in a way it doesn't really count, which is wack imo (though she did also full-on say that Lestat is bisexual which I appreciate).
But I think what bothered me the most in IWTV, wasn't even the subtext itself, but the way that Louis essentially didn't express any love for Lestat. The story is written like he just hates him from the beginning save for the first moments where he saw him to when he was turned. They are obviously coded as a couple down to HAVING A CHILD TOGETHER, but Louis' narration just never acts "accordingly" and gives it this weird no homo vibe. His love for Armand is a bit more clear which is better, but also not totally? Especially cause when they're saying stuff like "I/you want him to be my/your companion" it usually has the context of him as a replacement for Claudia.
Anyway this isn't a book review, so what I mean is basically that it was just VERY satisfying to see Loustat being clearly in love, especially from Louis' part. I love to see that sort of initial attraction especially when it comes from someone who doesn't want to be feeling that and all the angst that comes with it. Also, THEY FUCK. I kinda appreciate the concept of vampires not having regular sex in the books, but I'd still rather have them fuck. As a treat.
The fact that they also explicitly established Louis as gay instead of staying ambigous about his sexuality was also incredible. I do like works where that just isn't brought up and it just works naturally like if they were straight, but it's not my favorite approach. I like when they actually deal with it.
And on the topic of Louis' changes: Anything from slave-owner in a plantation is a glow-up. Making him also a black man is like, downright reparations. If you're upset about that you're dumb and possibly racist sorry. I understand that Louis' "race-swap" is different from most other characters since him being white actually is relevant, but it's relevant in a bad way. The upgrade definetely needed to happen to tell the story in current times.
And since we're talking about these types of changes, Claudia. I have A LOT of issues with how Claudia's story was handled, but Claudia herself, as in Bailey and her acting? Great. She's just amazing. The change in her age makes for a different story, but one that still works. And Bailey is just so charismatic and fierce. To see her slowly change from the cute daddy lou girl (which as I said, was way more fun and charismatic than book Claudia) to whom she has become in the latter episodes? Incredible. She truly embodies being the baddest bitch in the house, she INVENTED girlbossing.
And kinda going from this, the acting. The acting of all three is great. They have great chemistry, both Sam and Jacob and the two of them with Bailey. Even appearance wise, Claudia still looks like a living doll, and Jacob is still a soft pretty boy in a way that fits my own standards for a babygirl-coded character. Sam Reid might actually be too hot to be Lestat, tbh. I joke but wow, I'm actually attracted to him now. Armand's was like particularly genius cause even though he's not a auburn-haired white teenager he still looks just like Armand when it comes to his actual features?!
Also, the vibe, the atmosphere. It actually took me a while to get into it. I had whiplash from reading the book and seeing the movie where it was like 1 or 2 centuries behind the show, but once I got into it I loved it. I don't know how to explain this better but I just like how everything looks and "feels". The set and costume designers ate. The cinematography is great too and gives it the final touch.

finished the vampire armand last night and i have so many thoughts. it's definitely the book that had me the most invested so far in the series, maybe because i just can't take lestat's self-inflicted problems too seriously lmao.
i'm going to quit my job to become a full-time marius hater. i didn't like him before (it's the paternalism) but now ohhhh hell for marius!! hell for 10,000 years!!
early marius/armand is such a tasty blend of horrifying and romantic, things got surprisingly explicit! and the drama... armand at like 16 breaking down the door with an axe because marius isn't talking to him? incredible. of course then it's all downhill from there.
the religious stuff was more interesting than expected, except when it got into memnoch territory. i skipped that book for a reason! why are we still talking about this!! but it definitely added to the tragedy of it all.
the indoctrination into the cult and what happened to the other boys is so nightmare-inducing, god.
and then when we get to iwtv uhhhh. armand, beloved, you're really the villain of that story and the justifications are just making it worse. what you did to poor claudia was. not being helpful. really funny that his explanation for not helping lestat when he came crawling to him is that lestat healing by himself would make him stronger. it was all tough love really. tower? what tower?
no mention of nicki either, wow!!
now i'm really really curious about how the show will handle the rest of the interview with armand there. what does louis even know at this point? daniel will for sure notice that louis's version of events is off. is armand going to just blatantly lie and we'll only get the truth from lestat later? if armand confesses his claudia-related crimes louis might just set him on fire. unless of course show armand is a better person but. that's unlikely. or louis already knows and that's why he's so dead inside???
but back to the novel. armand and lestat really both instantly fell for louis because he was just so beautiful and sad huh.
very little new info on louis and armand's relationship? just that they both learned how to be alone from it. ow.
also tragic is the absence of daniel, the few times he's mentioned are so fucking sad. and everybody wandering away from night island...
i know marius is useless in general but he could've at least killed santino. dude had all your children tortured and/or murdered and you're just having a chat with him??? then again as i'm typing this i realize he's not the only one to be remarkably chill about their kid's murderer huh.
it's so funny that armand apparently hates gabrielle. why her of all people. what has she ever done to you, she's just minding her own business.
hilarious that armand has a problem with lestat's "brat prince" nickname and is like "prince of what?? on whose authority???". but then that's because of their collective marius issues.
more fun info: louis likes baz luhrmann's romeo+juliet, because of course he does, and armand watches the x-files apparently.
i love sybelle and benji, their section feels almost wholesome in comparison with. everything else. like yeah ok armand is kinda recreating the relationship he had with marius and bianca with them but. in a healthier way, sort of. he's trying. he's supportive. i hope nothing bad happens to them. well. nothing worse.
fucking. marius.

ok now lestat headcannons!!
Ooh, okay!! I have plenty of Lestat thoughts too!
He's not a messy eater by nature, but sometimes he goes full peanut butter baby to gross Louis out. You know that part of WWDITS (2014) where Viago hits an artery and drinks the spraying blood like a dog with a garden hose? That's what I'm imagining
His demeanor makes him seem bigger and older than he is, but he's actually...kinda small and definitely looks as young as he is physically. The 6' height is a lie, he's 5'9 and has a total sunny baby face so it's actually sorta sad when he gets really aggressive and angry and tries to throw his weight around
He's always badgering Daniel with questions about things Louis might have said "off the record" and trying to ~clarify~ specific things in the book ("Okay but how did he say it? Did it sound serious? Did he say anything else?")
He walks everywhere at turbo speed and never looks where he's going. No amount of vampire senses stop him from bowling people over on his way down the street
As some others have said as well, I totally see Lestat as having BPD. He's practically a textbook case and a lot of the shitty things he does are really just totally unmanaged BPD because 18th century vampires don't understand mental health
Once he settles in with the modern world, he actually takes up reading quite a bit. Being around Louis reignited his forgotten love of books and now he feels safe enough to indulge in the hobby
He adores social media, but has no idea how to use it properly. He sure is enthusiastic though!
Kids are obsessed with him. He's one of those people that children flock to and usually he enjoys the attention (though he has a tendency to say something inappropriate sooner or later), but other times it's too hard after Claudia
A Holiday Person. He is obnoxiously festive and loves everything that's tacky, musical, or brightly colored, preferably all three at once. There's no such thing as overstimulation for him
Y2K was HIS MOMENT. After missing the 70s and having his rockstar dreams crushed in the 80s, he finally got to indulge in all the glittery nonsense he'd always dreamed of
After spending his human life without a formal education, he's a sponge for any and all information. He loves documentaries and, when they come along, podcasts. Between that and the first portable music players, his headphones are just an extra limb. He can't hear for SHIT ever. There is a 90% chance nothing you're saying is being heard over Animal Planet or Def Leppard
He's always pushing his vampire limits just to see what will happen. This has included taking a big swig of beer (violent vomiting), taping his eyes open to try and stay awake all day (it didn't work, never does), and jabbing himself with a pure silver fork (it only hurt the normal amount, he used a steel control fork as well)
Total crybaby. He cries at the drop of a hat and over every emotion when he's alone or once he's comfortable. Happy cry, sad cry, angry cry, horny cry, you name it. He will not admit to this even if he's actively in tears and he WILL try to gaslight anyone who calls him out on it
He's a big fan of ~self care culture~ and uses all sorts of absurdly expensive and unnecessary beauty products out of sheer vanity and the pleasure of being high maintenance

If you have time, can you give an overview of the 'Amel plot' you referenced yesterday? Spoilers are OK, I've read all the books bar the last 4 (I'll get around to them though!) so I know Amel, but know nothing about his role in the later books - except that he calls Lestat a slut at one point, which I'm sure was a fun moment for everyone but probably not what you were referring to LMAO, I was just wondering what arc you were talking about and why you think it's being incorporated here? :)
Haha, yeah to have a comment like that canon, right^^
OK - spoilers for Prince Lestat arc!
I have written a longer Prince Lestat rundown before, so this is the short version :)) (I'm skipping the other plot with Roshmandes here! The whole rundown also focuses on the Loustat aspects of it all.)
Amel is, as you know the spirit that drives them. Maharet tells us about that spirit and how the vampires came to be in QotD. Amel was bloodthirsty and violent (hence the need for blood, which shaped the vampires.)
In the Prince Lestat arc we now have the situation that Amel is coming to consciousness. Slowly, painfully. It takes a while. He is also spread too "thin" because of the ever multiplying vampire population, so while still more or less unconscious of himself he uses powerful vampires with the fire gift to burn the younger ones. That is referred to as "the second burning" (first one was Akasha)
Amel is the sacred core, the "base" of him is in Mekare - as Amel comes more and more to consciousness though he realizes that while he can go into other vampires and take over their will even, he wants more. He wants to leave Mekare, because he is anchored in her and she is... more or less braindead. He starts talking to Lestat and eventually Lestat takes the sacred core from Mekare, killing her in the process.
However, Amel is still not satisfied, and while Lestat is slowly setting up his court he tries to take over his body in increasing frequency. The other vampires are unsettled. Louis proposes the theory of the silver cord that connects them (Amel) and how it can be severed - and it works, for everyone except Lestat. Lestat cannot be disconnected because he is host. And here come the aliens into play (no kidding), which are, in fact, from Atlantis, and ... Amel is, too. He just became a spirit when it... blew up. These aliens show up, background story, story, story, discussion, small fight - the aliens kidnap Lestat and cut his head open, removing Amel through scientific methods (that is also where Lestat is awake during the day btw).
Amel gets an artificial body, and the vampires are not connected to each other anymore after.
The silver cord is severed.
____
I'm not sure which reference to the Amel plot you meant, bc several things are connected here - for one, Amel's rise to consciousness was a bloody and violent one. We are on a condensed timeline, so I have entertained the thought whether Lestat's slightly off behavior in episode 5 (I mean the dragging part and his comments there, not the "fight" before) might have something to do with that. Amel is a red fog in their mind, and they become aware again after having done something extremely violent, remembering nothing afterwards...
And the other is, of course the silver cord.
The wording in the show is no coincidence. Lestat knows the basics of it all because he has seen Those Who Must Be Kept, and has spoken to Marius. His words to Louis are the truth, though their vampire bond is likely forged from several... connections/influences :)
The (silver) cord mention connects our first season already to the last three books (as does the dance - and Fareed). We know Rolin Jones has the Prince Lestat arc in his mind, he kept referencing the books in interviews, though of course he would not tip his hand this early in the seasons. *shrugs*
The Amel plot would be conveniently opened by the "ever multiplying vampire population", and it would contain a bigger role for Louis... :))

So I got asked something very interesting that I thought you might like... The Q was what is the most shocking thing the show could throw at you? And I'm like, you mean the obvious that L&L isn't together at the end, and one of them dies, but that is an impossibility. Like it would never ever EVER happen, right?? Anyway, then I ask ‘what about you?’ Then she goes, ‘Oh something like Louis switch body with Daniel when they first met and then Lestat switch body with Merrick. They have normal human marriage with their real daughter. Then they go back to their bodies. Daniel have a love affair with Armand, and they adopt a human daughter together.’ And I’m like 😳😳 Mayfair Witches is coming soon. I mean there is so many loopholes to this but 😱 what do you think, let me know your thoughts! Also, what would be the biggest shock the show could throw at you? 😆
Hey dear!
So... ok, I had to think on this for a moment, because.... whoaaa? :)))
Ok, so the most cursed thing they could do... like honestly...
Remember when Anne was on her trip to recast Louis as female, and she thought about Cher (and Cher even wrote a song) and...
There's Rose and Viktor in the later books. I think, for me, the most cursed thing ever would be for Louis and Lestat to body switch into them and have a mortal life.
Like... yeah. That's making my brain hurt. And my teeth. *laughs* (Like I'm sooooo happy Anne didn't ... errrrr.... think of that. I don't put it past her to write something like this in tbh, lol)
Though I must say your switch-setup would be mightily cursed as well :))) Would the adopted daughter then be Louis' and Lestat's (aka genetically Merrick's and Daniel's??). So Armand would have like a... half-genetically-Daniel-mentally-half-Louis-half-Lestat daughter? Is that daughter old Daniel's RL daughter??? Is that memory of his wife implanted? (Now that'd be the twist^^)
Re the Mayfair Witches... I have restarted the books, it's been ages since I read them (I did like them but it's been a while), I remember vaguely things about incest and lots and lots of ... interconnections? Messy. So, again... that switch idea might be totally in line with what Anne wrote lmao.
(I might need a drink^^ Dammit it's too early.)

Ok, obligatory long rambling thoughts post for e6, behind read more because spoilers:
Ouch, poor Louis is looking rough. Not sure those rats are gonna cut it. No wonder he took ages to heal if he's not eating properly.
"Flying vampire apocalypse" xD
Fellow physician I like you xD I saw a post that he's apparently a character from the later books but eh, I have read those only once and remember nothing. Anyway, if I had access to a vampire I'd definitely be poking and prodding them and getting tissue samples. I want to know what they look like under a microscope, sue me xD
I laughed for like 10 minutes about Louis yeeting Lestat's coffin off the balcony. It was hilarious xD (also, you lot are really surprised the neighbours think you need an exorcism if you pull stuff like that?)
Why does Lestat in short sleeves look so off? o.o like, I don't think that's a good look for him, nope. No me gusta.
Doc pulling that butterfly needle out looks real o.o the blood effect people did a really good job (or someone on the crew was like "yeah, you can poke me with needles, all good" xD tho I'm pretty sure it's a practical effect). I am way too happy about this when mostly every damn show has no idea how syringes work (no, you do not push them straight through your damn arm, ouch!)
When Louis has Rashid play the re-recorded song is it just me or does Daniel look like he recognizes Lestat's voice? Or maybe he just looks like he digs it, not sure.
Louis really was so pissed off he swam through the Mississippi, huh? And while keeping a hold of the record, too xD
Rashid the little fuck walked right through that beam of sunlight, no burning to be seen and yet, later....ugh, what the hell is his deal xD
Well, pretty sure they trashed Antoinette's bedroom good.
I want to know what household rules one to three are xD
And again with the short sleeves. Why does that make him look like a Florida soccer dad or something? (Or, you know, like Dexter xD )
ok, now can people stop saying he made Paul jump? I don't know where people get that from, anyway
Sam Reid, that whole scene with Lestat talking about Magnus, chef's kiss.
"I have a capacity for enduring"...he sure does
Well, living in that household must have been fun....not. Louis, how did you not lock those two in a room and make them fight it out?
He didn't turn Antoinette yet, did he? They just faked her death, right?
"And brat that he was, he didn't like being told what to do" xD that's him in a nutshell.
Wow, Rashid was very insulted when Daniel called him a rent boy xD those two are gonna have fisticuffs, I tell you.
I laughed way too much about Lestat being nasty in the train cart. But his outfit was on point and he was being a little bitch. But also, doggo.
Well, Claudia's definitely mad now.
Not sure I buy Louis just going along with plotting Lestat's murder like that but we'll see
Loving Daniels dream memory of meeting Louis in the gay bar. Look at them, so cute xD
once again, what the hell is Rashid's thing? Did Daniel just dream him into this but he wasn't actually there? Was Rashid there? Odyssey of Recollection or something something something
And still going strong with the ace erasure.
Ok, I'm done. So rude they'll make us wait two weeks now :(
