Our happy ending

This prompt takes place a couple months after the s15 finale. Amelia has just got back from a trip she took to LA in search for herself and she has figured out who she truly is with and without Owen. Today she is meeting with Owen to pick up Leo because Owen and her both decided that it is best that she stays a constant person in Leo’s life and the bond her and Leo share is unbreakable.

7:00 am

Amelia is just getting off her flight from LA and heading to grab her bags from baggage claim.When she got her luggage she went outside where Mer and Maggie were waiting for her to come out.

“Look who’s back? How was your trip?” Maggie asked grabbing Amelia into a hug.

“It was great now I’m just ready to change and see my little bunny boy,” Amelia said hugging Maggie back then releasing her.

Amelia looked at Mer and smiled and grabbed her into a tight hug cause she knew mer wasn’t so lovey dovey.....

Once Mer and Maggie dropped Amelia off to her house she had bought a couple of months of ago. Which was the first thing to help her find herself her own space to grow. Amelia walked into her room and sighed in relief her room was perfect to her it was cozy and brought her some much peace. She sat her bags at the end of her bed and walked in to her closet and grabbed herself a blue floral shirt and some black leggings. Amelia then walked into her bathroom and took a hot, steamy shower to fresh up from being on the plane. When she came out she sat on her bed and looked at the nightstand seeing the picture of her and Leo. The picture was her giving Leo a big kiss on his cheek while he smiled showing his two teeth at the bottom of his mouth. Amelia smiled and checked her phone she had 1 message from Link and 3 from Owen Amelia opened Link’s message first.

Link: I hope you had an great trip. Can we meet for coffee tomorrow around 3ish?

Amelia replied with an okay but I have Leo this week so how about we meet at the park. She then opened her messages from Owen. The message were pictures of Leo playing with Allison and Leo with Ice cream all over his face. And the other was a message that read.

Owen: What time you come back Leo misses you so much.

Amelia smiled and replied I just got back and I’m on my way because I miss him so much. Amelia grabbed a ponytail holder off her night stand and threw her recently new grown hair into a messy bun and grabbed her key.

30 minutes later she was pulling up to her former home she shared Owen. She smiled remembering the good time she once shared with Owen then took a deep breathe and got out of her car. She slowly walked up to the door and softly knocked waiting for Owen to open the door.

Owen opened the door with Allison in his arms he smiled when he saw the petite brunette at his door. Owen looked her up and down taking in all her beauty Amelia looked at him confused as of why he was staring at her.

“Um Owen?” Amelia asked looking up at him.

“My bad I’m sorry,” Owen said looking around rubbing the back of his neck.

“It’s fine,” Amelia said biting her bottom lip.

They both looked Allison as she cooing looking at Amelia. Amelia smiled Allison was so beautiful she looked just like teddy. That made Amelia wonder where Teddy was since she ain’t see her car when she was pulling up.

“Owen where’s Teddy,” Amelia asked.

“We broke up she’s with Tom now,” Owen said looking down.

“What happened I thought y’all were in love,” Amelia said feeling sad for Owen because she really wanted them to workout for each other.

“She said it seems liked I had my heart sat for someone else and only chose to be with her because we’re best friends and have a baby together. She told she was going to be with someone who wants her and gives her their whole heart and love and not half,” Owen looking at Amelia staring into his sky blue eyes.

Owen moved out the way to let Amelia in the house. Amelia slowly walked in the house and took a seat on the couch waiting for Owen to get Leo for her. After a little while Owen came to the living with both Leo and Allison in his arms. Amelia giggled when she seen what Leo had on. He was wearing pajama pants, a white button up shirt, and some red sneakers.

“Owen why is he dressed like that?” Amelia chuckled out.

“Because I couldn’t find anything to put him on quickly without Allison crying,” Owen shook his head

Amelia picked up the toddler and walked back to his room in Owen’s and went in his dresser. She grabbed a gray star wars shirt, black jogger, and his baby converse. After she got him dressed she walked into the living where Owen was. She noticed how exhausted Owen looked as he tried to rock Allison to sleep but Allison wasn’t going. Amelia took a sit next to Owen and put her hand on his shoulder.

“Can I try?” Amelia asked very softly.

Owen handed her the baby Amelia cradled Allison in her arms gently. Amelia rocks back and forth very calmly and sings you are my sunshine my only sunshine. After about 5 mins of Amelia rocking the baby Allison was peacefully asleep in Amelia’s arms. Owen sighed in relief that Allison had fell asleep because she won’t fall asleep all day.

“Where’s her room?” Amelia asked standing up slowly.

“It where the office used to be,” Owen said sitting Leo in his lap.

Amelia walks to where her old office used to be and opened the door and saw a beautiful white and pink nursery. She smiled and laid Allison in her crib. As she walking in the hall she notices a picture on the wall the used to be there when she lived there. She looks at the picture closely not noticing that Owen had walked up to her with Leo in his arms.

“Oh yea I could never bring myself to take at down,” Owen said looking down at Amelia.

“I’m surprised you kept this,” Amelia smiled shyly.

“It was one of the best nights of my life,” Owen let out a deep chuckle.

“I was a reck that night I got cold feet almost left you at the alter but then reminded myself how much I love you and how bad I wanted to start a life with you,” Amelia said looking down remembering that night like it was yesterday.

“That night was magical I remembered how gorgeous you looked when I seen you coming down the aisle. I remember thinking to myself I would do anything to make you happy and to have a great life with you by my side. But I let you down I was a horrible husband, and boyfriend and I’m sorry.” Owen said.

“Owen it’s fine I guess we weren’t meant to be,” Amelia shrugged.

“I believe we were and I just messed it up because either when I’m with somebody else or I’m single I never find myself as happy as I was when I was with you.” Owen said.

Amelia smiled and nodded her head

“Teddy was right I wasn’t giving her my all because my heart was craving for someone else,” Owen smiled a little.

“Owen that’s not a good idea we don’t work together and we know that so let’s not put us back in a bad situation.” Amelia said.

“Well i’m just going to say this and tell me how you feel about this. Amelia Francis Shepard I love you and I want to turn a new life with you just us and the kids,” Owen said looking at Amelia.

“Owen I love you and I went on a self journey to find who I was without you. I know who I am without and I like who I am without you but I love who I am with you. Owen I know we can be toxic together but I choose to forget those moments and remember every good moment we had,” Amelia says looking into the man she knew she loved most.

“Amelia I want you to be my wife and I wouldn’t want any other woman but you cause you make me the happiest I ever been in my life,” Owen leans down to kiss her.

“Owen I wanna be your wife and I do want that family you always dreamed about with our own craziness. But I wanna do it quietly,” Amelia says taking his hand in her’s.

“What do you mean quietly?” Owen looked confuse as of what she was taking about.

“I wanna get eloped and move to start over,” Amelia looked at Owen.

“Ok but why move I thought you loved Seattle,” Owen said.

“I don’t wanna move out Seattle I want use to move from this house because it has too many memories if we’re going to start over,” Amelia said calmly.

A couple months......

“Amelia I can’t find Allison’s bunny,” Owen yells from the living room of their new home in the suburbs of Seattle.

“I think it’s a Teddy’s I’ll call her and see,” Amelia said as she walked into the living room where Owen.

Amelia picks up her phone to call Teddy but before she could press the call a text come through from Teddy.

Teddy: Alli left her bunny I’ll drop it off after my surgery.

“Teddy said she’ll drop it off after her surgery,” Amelia said.

Amelia pick Leo pick off the floor and sits on the couch with him next to Owen and Allison. Amelia smiles because she love her little family and she grabs the remote and turns on Hercules. After 30 minutes of them watching the movies she notices the kids had fallen asleep she leans over and give Owen a gently sweet kiss.

Starting a Family

since prompt takes place 6 after Owen and Amelia are adjusted to not having the kids anymore. They still see the kids all the time and the kids are able to see Owen and Amelia anytime they want. Owen and Amelia decide it was time for a change in their life together. They decided they do want kids together because how much they loved parenting Leo and Betty. Owen and Amelia moved from Owen’s house to their new house which they love every part of. It has a lot of bedrooms and a nice living room for Amelia and A huge kitchen and backyard for Owen. They are just loving the space their where they feel like they can tell each other anything and be the versions of them selves and as a couple.

Amelia was sitting on the couch reading a book with her legs on the coffee table just relaxing as Owen approaches her. At first he just admire her and sighs he just loves everything about her. In Owen’s eyes Amelia is the all around the most perfect wife.

“I guess we found the place that makes us feel at home huh?” Owen asked Amelia.

Amelia smirks at Owen and laughs a little because she didn’t even think of the house as the place that made her feel like home to her Owen was her home and that’s all she need to feel at home. She noticed Owen didn’t look at the book she was reading. Owen flopped down on the couch next to her and put his head on her lap and started messing with her. Owen started placing kisses on her neck Amelia couldn’t help but laugh.

“Owen I’m reading a book stop,” Amelia said holding the book in her hands. Owen looked at Amelia’s and read the name of the book. “Why are you reading a parenting book? Amy?” Owen asked. She smiled in the way Owen knew she wanted something. “Amelia what’s that smile for?” Owen asked her and she put the book down.

“Well I was thinking since we got this new house full of room and we live in a good school district. Do you that time we were in the on call like 3 years and we were talking hypothetical? Amelia asked rubbing on Owen. “Yes Amelia why? Owen asked he was ready for her get to the point. “So remember we were talking about kid? and I said I wanted 5 and we’ve been together for almost 4 years and still have our own kids. You and Teddy have Olivia together so you have so I understand if you don’t want to have another baby.” Amelia said.

Owen looked her and he hadn’t thought about having a baby with Amelia since what happened the first time. He knows Amelia loves Olivia but that isn’t her daughter so she doesn’t over step. “Amelia do you want to try for a baby love?” Owen asked because he didn’t it one bit that if Amelia wanted a baby. Owen always wanted a family. “ I think I’m ready to have another baby only if you want to.”Amelia said. “Amelia I always wanted to have a baby with you Amelia.” Owen said.

Three months later

Its been three months since they started trying for a baby. They haven’t got pregnant yet but they are still trying. While Amelia was at work the alarm on her phone was going off. She looked at the alarm and ran to Owen when she finally found Owen she grabbed his arm and ran to the nearest on call room. But all the on call rooms were occupied so they ran to the elevator to see if it was empty and it was. Owen pressed the button to shut the elevator down Amelia removed her scrubs and her underwear. She placed her scrubs on the camera “Owen hurry we don’t that much time so come on” Amelia said. “OK come here,” Owen said as he picked her up against the wall. “Owen come on can you just put it in here we can do the real version at home but we don’t have time for that so stick it in.” Amelia said.

Hours later Amelia and Owen were heading up to the daycare to pick up Owen’s 7 month old baby girl Olivia. Owen walked in and signed her out while Amelia picked up the baby. Amelia started playing with Olivia and smelling her hair. Olivia was just the cutest with her strawberry blonde hair and green eyes she looked just like Owen. Owen and Amelia walked out the hospital with the baby and home they went.

Amelia and Livi were sitting on the couch playing like they always do. Owen was in the kitchen cooking and smashing up food for Livia. Owen and Teddy traded off every week with the baby and tom and Amelia were big helps. Owen and Amelia just enjoyed their little family time they loved this time. Livia wouldn’t let them do anything but they don’t mind they just wanted to spend time with her anyways.

1 month later

Amelia felt so weird today she had no appetite which wasn’t anything out the normal so she just ignored it. But then when her, Maggie, and Meredith were talking she had to throw up so bad. She just told her sister she would be right back as she to the emergency room where she knew Owens was at. “Owen come with me,” Amelia said holding his hand. They went to the supplies closet Amelia grabbed three pregnancy tests.

While they are in the bathroom “Amy you think you’re pregnant?” Owen said.

“I don’t know I can be,” Amelia said while peeing on the test.

When Amelia came she handed the pregnancy tests to Owen. Amelia wanted Owen tom know first. They sat on the bathroom waiting for the five minutes to be up. Owen looked down at the tests one of them had the result on it. He read it out loud “PREGNANT!!!” Owen read off the test. He looked at Amelia she had tears running down her face

Peanut

“Owen, can you get up? You're going to us late for our first appointment," Amelia said.

" Amelia, I'm coming I just need to take a shower and I'll be ready to go," Owen mumbled.

"Owen, its a shame that our one year old can be ready before you," Amelia said with so much sass.

20 minutes later....

"Owen, we have to drop Leo off to Meredith's because Maggie is taking the kids somewhere and asked if Leo could come to. I told her we would drop him off before our doctor's appointment." Amelia said while putting Leo in his car seat.

"Ok, I've always wanted Leo to build a good relationship with his family..... Even with our situation," Owen said.

During the drive, it was really calm Leo was babbling a couple of the words Owen and Amelia could make out.

" baaa baa Mommy and gosh plosh geez papa. Byeeeee Bets tee leee to dols," Leo babbled in the back.

"What you talk squish?" Amelia asked her little boy in the back. ( Squish was Leo's nickname because he had the most squish like cheeks.)

They pulled up to Mer's house. Amelia grabbed the diaper bag out of the car and Owen grabbed Leo. Amelia knocked on the door and Maggie answered with a big smile on her face.

" Hi Squish, you're getting so big my littlest love," Maggie said to the little toddler twurling his dad's hair.

"Okay have you guys and thanks again for watching him maggie." Owen said.

30 minutes later.... They were pulling up at the hospital.

"Owie, are you ready to see our youngest baby?" Amelia asked while they were walking to the front desk.

"I can't believe we're going to have a new baby in couple of months," Owen said with so much excitement.

As Amelia and Owen were sitting waiting for Amelia's name to be called Owen could imagine what it will be like when they take their newest baby home.

"Owen I know thing have been hard and weird ever since we find out Teddy was pregnant I just want you to know I love you with all my heart." Amelia said.

" Amelia I love you with everything inside and I know I haven't been the best husband I could be to you and I apologize." Owen said. He pressed a soft kiss on her lips.

"Amelia Sherpherd-Hunt" the nurse called.

"Come with me please," the nurse said.

30 minutes later after all of the checks they were final able to their little peanut. (that's what they been calling their baby since they don't have a name or know the gender.)

"Omg Amelia Peanut has your nose and lips," Owen said.

"Yea but Peanut got your head," Amelia said looking at their 2nd baby on the screen.

" Peanut is really is going to look like mommy. I can't wait Leo is going to love little peanut."

" I can't wait Squish and Peanut are going to be best of friends. I think Peanut is going to have blonde hair like your side of the family."Amelia said.

" I hope so because peanut has your profile and Leo has brown like you too."Owen said with a little smirk on his face.

Amelia looked up from the screen and give Owen a kiss.

"Owen, I can't wait for my two babies to meet," Amelia said.

At this moment everything that was going on around didn't matter because they knew the type of love their family has can't be broken.
