my rambly two cents on kot kot 🐔🐔🐔

I like it a lot! I don't love it but honestly after Ruoska it might be my favorite from his newer songs.

Like a lot of people have said, I think the melodic part is great, I like the rap part but I don't like the kot kot bit. With that being said though, I do think it belongs in the song and I want it to be there, it has its own silly charm that I appreciate (and i like the wordplay of taking kot from jatkot), but I would like it better if it sounded different. A little less monotone maybe, I don't know.

When we first got to hear the melodic part of the song I was so intrigued to find out how it would tie into the harsher kot kot & rapping part we had heard previously. It made me so excited to hear what the full song had in store for us... and that's what let me down when I first heard Kot Kot because as it turns out, from two separate teasers we had already more or less heard the full song. There isn't a third building block between those parts to make the song fuller. Heck, there isn't even a proper beginning or end to the song either.

So as a sum of its parts this song really only has two parts that don't really go together. Except they do go together because that's how the song gives them to you, which might grow on me the more I listen to it, I dunno. But when I first heard the song that disappointed me a little, even though the song does build up in its own way. Mostly it's the first "kot kot" that's very jarring for me.

but again..... I do like it! a lot more than I thought I would when we got that first teaser. I was fully prepared to hate this song, to be honest. The singing bit is so good that it picks up a lot of slack. ..but even that doesn't make up for the ending, because what he heck was that? 😂 I appreciate the unseriousness of it but also.. it sounds bad lol

a part of me is low key jealous of everyone who has had the chance to be in the first row for käärijä's gigs, but a bigger part of me wonders how the heck are ppl able to queue for HOURS or basically for a whole day??? like wow the dedication gotta respect it, i wish that was me 😭 but im old and mukavuudenhaluinen
