went into the city for a botom surgery follow up. i cant believe its been 6 months! the beautiful trans women in the waiting room complimented my outfit which more than makes up for all the weird looks i got on public transportation

There's silverfish in this apartment so the only chance for my body to get some rest would be collapsing from exhaustion otherwise i will not sleep for a While

#how long does it take to get rid of them? #ages probably #and i have only one room (+ a tiny bathroom) so i cannot avoid them #they're in my bedroom therefore the bed isn't safe #god i hate it here #i had them in my first apartment too for a short time and i hoped to never experience this again #well #also the guy living here before me apparently has never cleaned the shower or the toilet in his lifetime #the shower is filthy and I've been cleaning it for 3 hours in total already #I'll have to scrub it everyday in order to get a chance to get rid of these years of dirt and limescale #(like scrub it for 30 minutes using cleaning supplies and all. not just clean it after showering like usually #which would have prevented this from happening in the first place if that guy had done this even just once a week) #also cannot fathom how my landlord accepted this bathroom to be left like this #there was literally still toilet paper in the toilet and there is dirt so bad i haven't gotten rid of it after scrubbing for hours #but yeah #the insects are the worst #i mean in korea i had actual bugs but there weren't as many and i think they couldn't climb the walls so i felt less #disgusted by my bed and everything i touch #(there was one in my bag and in the kitchen sink and in my blanket once and #I'm not exactly scared by them but actually disgusted #i guess this is what some people mean when they say they aren't scared of spiders but don't like them anyway #it's just gross and i don't want to see them) #and i will tell my landlord about it and ask if he can at least fix the bathroom silicom so maybe some of their hiding spots are gone #I'm just very tired of everything rn lol #still not using that extra time i have during the night to work for university so that's great #not getting anywhere #void screams

#it's not my decision and i don't particularly know what to say other than i guess we need $5000 #i am not mentioned in the description because we don't need people asking stupid fuckin questions #nadia rambles #man i am truly gonna have to find a way to buy a humidifier and nasal spray too cause i cannot fuckin deal w/ dryness on my meds #it's bad enough *here* and since it's been 15-30 degrees all week my nose is the sahara desert in there #and now i gotta go to the *literal* arid desert? ugh #w/e i just want a two bathroom apartment #without fucking MOLD #did you know there is mold on my bedroom walls?? pretty sure the walls outside are letting in water #and it's only getting worse.... two corners and it's started to spread to the floor #mom cleaned it w/ bleach a week or two ago and it's already just as bad as it was before she cleaned it in at least one corner #we told the landlord and the maintenance guy was like Yup this is a problem from outside and you know what the landlord did? #nothing but the maintenance guy cleaned it w/ some heavy duty stuff in the summer which lasted a while since it was summer #but now that it's winter and (except the past week or so) humidity is up to 90% it's come back with a vengeance

#I have COVID apparently #despite testing negative twice before #they think it’s bc my first tests were too close to when symptoms started #but anyway I got told that I absolutely must stay in my room and not leave except for bathroom trips and like. emergencies. #and all I could think was ‘oh no I’m screwed I’m gonna have to miss so many classes’ #told my roommates and they said ‘we cannot afford to get COVID. do not leave your room please’. #which. yeah. So what I thought was just a thick patch of dust on my dresser that I'd somehow missed cleaning it off the other week was actually... scuff marks from the guy's moving it out of their way and then back while doing the baseboards.

Pretty bad scuff marks too.

I've rubbed in the repair stain that worked so nicely on my floors and it looks fine now though I'll know for sure if the stain took in the morning when it's dried, since i had to use filler on a couple of small (but deep) scratches on the top that were made from use over time - those wouldn't take the stain but the filler did. These weren't deep, however, so I'm not worried. And, since it was at the bottom of the dresser, I buffed a few more scratches on the floor that I noticed while I had the stained rag out.

i really need to just go through and mop all the floors now to get the settling dust off them. But I swear every time I go into the guest room there's a wasp in there still. Today, go in there, wasp. I lured it into the guest bathroom by accident (I was aiming for the hallway light, but the bathroom lights were apparently more attractive). Anyway. Guess I'll be saving that room for last.

#the repair stain is the old english scratch repair - dark stain #usually does the job just fine #though i do have a different brand same purpose that i got when my adhd brain misplaced the old english #(it was in a perfectly logical spot that made total sense) #the perils of home reno #the wasp invasion #I swear the closet is cursed #i found another spot that needed filler in the wood floors so i used my dark wood filler on it - looks great now #but like... the majority of the places where the boards don't match up well are in there #the wall had to be redone three times #the floors and dresser got scuffed up in there while the baseboards were being done #at least when they come back tomorrow it'll be to fix the screw up in the bathroom and not the closet #gonna have to put my rosary in there and say a few prayers ask some saints to chase out bad spirits for me
