frequently I will say to myself, especially in tourist-heavy times, i would like a more serious job at a more serious museum where members of the public do not keep touching me inappropriately

but, unfortunately, my coworkers are so fun and kind and have created such a positive little pocket of queer community that idk if i could bear to leave unless something big changes

#I have never played the original Chrono Trigger; I got the DS port at release #and almost beat it that year. and then stopped just short. the reason why has been lost to time #in 2021 or 2022 I decided to restart only to learn that my 3DS battery was not seated properly. resulting in VARIOUS issues #such as randomly turning off during gameplay; sound volume fluctuations; could not press left on the d-pad #tried to get in there and futz with it and instead stripped one of the screws like an idiot. decided to play Switch games instead #BUT THIS MORNING I REMEMBERED that I got the 3DS repaired over last summer #tl;dr frog best boy #(the DS version was re-localized and he does not speak Fauxlizabethan English. someday I'll look up the SNES script)

i sat down to eat inside at a restaurant for the first time in i don’t know how long and it was really weird but nice to be out somewhere with my boyfriend and masquerade as a real person for a little bit

not particularly something "bothersome" and more like "the author probably doesn't have too much experience with this," but as someone who gets frequent bloody noses, tissues are the WORST thing you could use for them. They just tear and stick and and the clotting makes the whole experience awful.

The tier list from best to worst is toilet paper -> paper towels (preferably damp) -> rag/cloth (also preferably damp) -> literally just my bare hand (if I know I can wash them after) -> THEN a tissue -> and lastly, maxi pad (it works but at what cost.)

if the only material you're working with is scratchy, like with public bathroom paper towels or a rough washcloth, getting it damp is very helpful. The blood is very very sticky, especially on your hands. You DONT tilt your head back never ever do that please god. You'll just later cough up the grossest blood clot that made a home in your sinuses. Also, you're likely to have a reopening with less blood a day or two after a Really Bad bloody nose.

#now have fun writing stranger things and other fics where characters get frequent bloody noses #maxi pad was used when I was at a concert and got a nosebleed in the nosebleed seats we DID laugh very hard about it #anywho. wiping blood with a tissue is hell. it's so fucking sticky and the tissue is SO fragile. #if someone hands me a tissue when I have a bloody nose I feel very badly about it. #like. social awkwardness makes me use it until I can get to the bathroom and begin the process of picking bloody tissues pieces off #but yuck. #also watching people part like the Red Sea when you you're covered in blood and walking determidly is very funny

discovered mold in my car couple weeks ago and I’ve been aggressively cleaning it I thought I killed it all but it keeps coming back 😭 like I’m killing myself if I have to just get it replaced bc I don’t kno how you even could replace a part of the upholstery without it looking off

#it’s in the nook of the passenger seat bc milk was spilt there by accident #I think bc it’s under the dashboard it’s not drying properly and holding on to the moisture #I’m getting these moisture removing pads and seeing if it helps bc the shit smells awful on top of that #uggggh I thought I dealt with it already too
