Not a lot of the new Pokémon introduced in SV really stuck(/stick, considering more are being released with the DLCs) out to me but I fucking love the little mouse dudes. At first they baffled me too much for me to appreciate, but then they grew on me like moss, y'know? But specifically systemcore moss. No, I will not elaborate. Like trying to articulate the very structure of Pearls small family is hard because I don’t want to take it too seriously but I know their family is dysfunctional not extremely honestly no one is ever home and Pearl was kinda just left alone but she preferred it that way because why would she miss anyone if there isn’t any strong bonds between anyone.

Anyway she is closer to her older brother but he isn’t perfect either and they sometimes don’t get along but they honestly can confide in each other more than they ever could with their own parents. I like to think at one point though maybe things were way different and they all truly do love each other.
