6. First impression of it?

so i should preface this by saying that i was participating in a 90s themed cabaret and asked my voice teacher for a song from a musical in the 90s that wasn’t Rent. so she pulled out her Falsettos book and i flipped through it.

me, age 16: four jews in a room bitching? sounds like every single family dinner in my house. 

my voice teacher, trying not to laugh: it’s about love and found family and how families can take many different forms. 

me: you mean my family, with two half-siblings and my parents and my dad’s ex-wife? 

my voice teacher: yeah, you’re gonna like this. 

eventually i took the book home and played through the songs that were in it on my piano, and cried a LOT. but, y’know, good crying.

20. How long have you followed the show?

since i was 16, so for almost 7 years now. i bought the original cast cds off of amazon and played them using my computer’s disc drive, and then they  acquired a permanent spot in my beat up car’s cd hutch.

ummm blues, purples, greens... tbh all colors really? though, like, i don’t miss ~pastel~ edits that were just. very desaturated and kinda ugly

21: How much time do you spend on a single graphic / gif?

depends on the complexity of the gif/graphic. if it’s a basic set, it might take me an hour to sort out the coloring and then copy it to every other gif in the set. graphics take me... way longer.

28: Advice for any beginner graphic / gif makers?

livejournal icon tutorials are your friend. even if the pics are just dead photobucket links, use a picture, any picture, and follow the instructions and experiment to learn what you want to do. half the coloring shit i know how to do, i learned from old icon tuts.

35: Gif makers, what is your go to frame delay? (And why!)

0.06, roughly? it seems to be one that’s smooth and closest i seem to get to the original framerate without seeming like it’s too fast.

42: Anything you’re curious about graphic/gif related!

ummm you didn’t say anything for this sooo i’m gonna talk about how descendants is simultaneously my most and least favorite thing to gif. the colors are really great to play with because everyone has their own color palette and it makes oversaturating a gif a lot more interesting, color-wise than most other things. but i also hate it because jesus christ please just fucking compress below the fucking size limit i’m gonna cry or break my monitor for fuck’s sake

5: how many accounts do you have? just on tumblr? two. i deleted the one that preceded this account and the other is an old hiding place from eleven billion years ago.

14: what’s your coffee order? standard coffee? half and half and two splenda. starbucks? venti green tea latte with two shots of espresso (again, two splenda). gas station? if it’s fall, pumpkin spice cappuccino (with two splenda) bc it’s better and way cheaper than anywhere else. seven eleven’s is the best.

23: if you could break one of your bad habits which would you choose? either biting my nails or popping zits. both are terrible habits to have.

32: how old do you get mistaken for? these days? usually my age. when i was 22, i got mistaken for 16. (i’ll stop laughing at my husband eventually for that i swear.) same when i was 21. when i was 16, i got mistaken for being old enough to see r-rated movies on my own, so.
