A.N: I was thinking about write this one after THAT unfortunated event in the House of the Edge of Time. I think that I will never get over it (as so Andrine *sobbing*)

A bored reader walked into the public library. They already read (and re-read) all their favorite epic adventures. Rummaging through the corridors, they found a metal plate fixed on a bookcase: History of the River Kingdoms. They gave it a chance and proceeded to check the titles.

Then, between many decorated spines, one caught their eyes; a red book with golden letters.

“The Rise of the Kingdom of Solovey, Linzi the Bravest,” they read out loud, tilting their head. The reader took the copy, feeling the velvet cover. The pages were yellowish, but the ink was still neat.

On one of the first pages, there was a preface with the title To the Bravest of All. And the next words were from the Solovey’s first queen herself:

Everyone who was born in the old Stolen Lands knows better: sooner or later, you will lose. And I was one of them; since I was a child, I learnt that these lands are full of mysteries and sometimes you get a heartache at a very young age. But also I learnt that here doesn’t exhale only doom, but hope, bravery, faith, love, and many other virtues.

That night at Jamandi Aldori’s mansion changed my life forever. Not only because we suffered treason, and many people lost their lives around us, but because you were there with me, Linzi. I was minding my business, and then you appeared, offering to be my minstrel, and asking me to be your muse. At first I thought that was very amusing and I agreed with you because you were so energetic and full of good ideas and intentions. I would never forget your little eyes sparkling with eagerness. We were young and about to go on an adventure in the Stolen Lands!

 You were by my side every moment. When we defeated the Stag Lord, when we laid the first stone of the barony, when you made me publicly swear to protect the kingdom at the Coronation, even when we went after your printer!

Not everything was fun and games, though. We lived in dark chapters, but like you used to say, all heroes have their moments of doubt. And we had. But also we held on to each other and waited until the storm was gone, humming merry songs or just crying on each other’s shoulder. Both were good.

Bandits, trolls, beasts, cultists, fey folks, ghosts. We went through so many things, always overcoming them. We began to feel above any evil. And then they took you away from me. It was like being stabbed and felt someone twisting the knife.

There is not a single day that I don’t mourn your death. I wished that the things were different, that we could do anything to counter the fate, but it was useless.

Everyone who was born in the old Stolen Lands knows better: sooner or later, you will lose.

You were the bravest of all the kingdom, my friend. The one who stood for their beliefs until the end. When the readers flip our pages, they will know that you were worth it. You are worth it, since your work will live until the day the sun devours Golarion.

Who is remembered will be never forgotten. That’s why I nominated you Linzi, the Bravest Bard, the Enchanter of Crowds, the Fleet-Feet, and Queen Andrine’s Sparrow. They would never forget any of us – and that’s my decree.

i want you to know, I am insane about tristian (and pathfinder), and I love seeing all your posts about them and your gameplay no one talks about them at all anymore since it's been years since PFKM came out, I really enjoy looking through your old art, posts, and some of the recent stuff you've shared. thank you so much for sharing your headcanons, ideas, writing, art, ect. it brings me so much joy and I just wanted to tell you this i hope it isn't weird !

Okay I've been sitting on this ask for a few days because I love it soo much and I'm really touched by it. I'm so glad you've enjoyed seeing all my art and shenanigans with Kingmaker!! I haven't posted about it as much because Chloe's run is like pulling teeth.

But also I decided I wanted to draw up a little reference with most of my headcanons written out, both ones I've shared before and ones that have stayed secluded to DMs with @outeremissary, who honestly is the source of a fair bit of my headcanons and has been a wall to bounce ideas off of for the rest.

Betrayal and break? 👀

Kore, I assume you're asking for Orson;; Both of these are peeks into the future since we haven't hit them in the TTRPG/they're our campaign variants of the CRPG events buuuut... (HUGE Orson/Jaethal / Jaethal character quest spoiler below the cut) oc ask prompt here x

betrayal: Has your OC ever been betrayed by someone they thought they could trust? Has your OC ever betrayed someone who trusted them? Tristian really broke Orson's heart during Betrayer's Flight :( The two have had a brotherly relationship and empathized with each other as clerics raised under the expectations of their respective goddesses. The timing of it also overlaps poorly with Orson's self-doubt concerning his own judgement, given he's started a relationship with Jaethal around this time too.

break: What would cause your OC to break down completely? What do they look like when that happens? Has anyone ever seen them at their lowest? Losing Jaethal when she dies renouncing Urgathoa absolutely crushes Orson. In our campaign, Nortellara would be their shared daughter and the ritual Jaethal would use to become perfect "living" undead would have her sacrifice her in infancy (unlike in the CRPG where she's already a young adult with no mentioned father). Visually, I think Orson would look much the same after losing his wife, but acts and looks hollow save for when he masks for Norte. Alternatively, Jaethal choosing violent undeath over their family and trust would also devastate him.

Mission Statement

This blog exists mainly to help me figure out a specific campaign setting of a small town of Bardova in the Stolen Lands, the setting of Owlcats’ Pathfinder Kingmaker game and the Patfhinder Kingmaker Adventure Path by Paizo. The town itself has been plagued by events explanations for which lie equally within the mischief of the Fey, as they do in the hearts of its inhabitants.  Spoilers for both

The campaign functions partly as an AU for the AP and PfKM game, where the Baron has failed in their task of protecting the Stolen Lands, forever cursing their lands and themselves. Not all is lost however, for a Fairy Tale with no happy ending tempting you to keep reading, is a Fairy Tale not suited for the times we find ourselves in.

I may be late but I never forget. Two months ago @dmagedgoods tagged me to fill this template out and at last I finally have. I’m... not much of a digital artist, so I’ve tried to compensate how I could. Unfortunately, resolution issues may undermine my efforts. I did my best though!

doing a little blog clean up and realized i have posted literally nothing for vala or pfkm

she straddles the line between chaotic neutral and chaotic evil. she’s a blight druid, specializes in necromancy, and has a pet monitor lizard. she is in a beautiful disastrous canon poly relationship with octavia and regongar.

this game gets a BIT tedious at times but honestly vala’s playthrough was so much fun. her decision making process is just “fuck you i do what i want” with a dash of murder mixed in

i’ve got a second playthrough going with a Very Proper Elf to romance tristan. it’s slow going bc i don’t have 100+ hours of my life to dedicate to a game anymore lmao
