I feel like the best part about the new april fools groups is that they aren’t even unit swaps. It’s more like groups forced to work together because they got stuck in a specific part of the past/future.

So for all we know, this is in the same universe as the canon story except their sekai bugged and sent them to different time periods (at least sekai versions of different times) which is honestly really funny and compelling. It looks like a unit swap but looking at the names and what happens in the event (??), it’s the equivalent of just some losers who end up on a deserted island with no one but each other, trying to find their way home.

The implications of them having their old unit are funny too cause imagine them sharing this shit with each other 😭🙏🏻 like “emu. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU BEFRIENDED ROBOTS?? I ALMOST GOT EATEN BY A DINOSAUR?????!!!!”

Since saki was hospitalized she didn't talk with her friends too much but she met a boy with the same disease as her,nekomaru they become friends and still are

Shiho had a babysitter courtesy of shizuki however he was only 8 years old and was nagito,nagito was crazy shiho survived literally anything that nagito did

Honami's childhood friend was makoto, makoto rarely knows Leo/need but he stills talk to honamin either way

emu and kazuichi have been besties ever since childhood, kazuichi was poor and needed a job and shosuke saw him and took him to babysit emu

Emu was the reason kazuichi wanted to dye his hair pink and emu loved it!

Rui and kazuichi were friends since middle school they had a rough childhood which they faced together

Kokichi was friends with Rui but their friendship didn't strive better

Nene had an old maid which was a young girl named kirumi Nene was able to friend her but kirumi eventually left leaving nene

Tsukasa and kaito momota were partners in crime back as children tsukasa wanted to be a star and kaito playfully repiled "if you'll be a star then I hope when I go to space to see you as the brightest star!"

Fuyuhiko babysat akito and ann as children the reason was that natsumi, fuyuhiko's little sister committed tax fraud and the way to repay was to babysit two kids which natsumi made fuyu did(best decision natsumi made btw)

Toya was keade's piano buddy and they played piano together every day but toya's dad didn't let him and made them distant

Kohane was classmates with hiyoko,she was the only person hiyoko was nice with. They had few upside down but it worked

Ena paints with Angie,ena secretly envies Angie due to her being more 'talented and experienced' Angie was and still unaware of it,when Angie paints ena tries to get inspired by it

Mafuyu had a nursing tutor which was mikan,mikan knows about mafuyu's fake persona but doesn't say anything to avoid problems she's scared she'll cause

Mizuki is friends with chiaki,they play games together, buy cute things together but chiaki left for HPA only for mizuki to find out her disappearance
