Ray of hope - Jackson

Sometimes...sometimes it just got to be too much.

All the work, all the pressures, all the everything. And all the worse when she slipped up.

She’d nearly walked out on her job today, in the heat of an argument. It took all of Jules’ self-control to bite her tongue and back down before she got fired. Now, in the safety of her own home, the writer dumped all of her stuff on the couch and stormed to the kitchen, intent on forgetting.

Her absinthe kit was on the second shelf in the middle cabinet. The brunette didn’t even hesitate to reach for it and begin to pull out all of the tools. Sugar, sugar...she needed sugar cubes. And those were...gone. She hadn’t picked some up last time she went to the store like she’d intended to. And Jules had absolutely no intention of going out now, not in a mood like this.

Putain. PUTAIN!

A low whining caught her attention. On the couch, Blazer was watching his trainer with a saddened expression. In the heat of the moment, it seemed, she’d completely forgotten to greet all of her dogs.

...Putain.

Slowly Jules crossed the room, taking a seat on the couch beside the Growlithe. He was quick to settle himself in her lap and beg for attention. That cheerful disposition and affectionate nature...it reminded her of the trainer who’d gifted her Blazer’s egg in the first place.

Jack.

Truth be told, she missed him, and their time together. Out being trainers, out in the berry fields...even those times that she messed up and they fought. Sneaking into his hospital room to cuddle in the dead of night. The day he turned 18, and they celebrated like nobody’s business. All the happy moments with them and their Pokémon. And then, distance. Staying up late for phone calls and laughing and crying and wishing they could be together. That pivotal moment when they decided they needed to pursue lives without the pressure of a long-distance relationship. Letting go, but with the promise of always being best friends.

“...” With a lukewarm grin, Jules glanced back at the absinthe kit still on the counter, then back at Blazer. Then, she sighed and got off the couch to get her HoloCaster. Surely he wouldn’t mind a call right now.

“...Allo, mon coeur?”

So... you cheated on Jack twice? Must make things kind of awkward.

“I suppose you could say more than twice, the results of which being we broke up on two separate occasions. It’s not something I’m proud of, no, but we’ve been working on it, and he knows I love him.

But the bottom line is those events are behind us now, so as far as I can see, no, it’s not awkward.”

A Jolteon casually sauntered over to where Logan was before plopping down and twitching one ear to the right, gazing up at him with a cheeky glint in his eyes, seeming to be waiting for something.

Logan didn't quite notice the Jolteon at first, not looking in his direction. It was Karok that spotted the Pokemon first, barking happily, and catching Logan's attention. "What? What i-"

He stopped and stared at the Jolteon. "Where did you come... from..." He frowned in thought. "Wait... No... Jaeger?" It couldn't be... could it?

The day was dreadful. And to top it all off, it had started raining. Opening his umbrella, he called back Mitra and Kindle, though leaving Maverick out. The sandy-brown Poochyena didn't quite follow him, however, instead dashing over to a male, who seemed quite down. Frowning, he followed after the canine. "Excuse me... Can I buy you a hot drink?"

Most of the people that went past him didn't give him a second look. The shiny Pooch suddenly at his feet startled him, but not as much as the appearance of its trainer.

"I--"

There was an annoyed bark and a growl from Pip.

"I don't think I have a choice."

Opinion on;

Character in general: I admit, I just recently followed Jackson, cause idk how I missed them before despite knowing about them? D:How they play them: I havent seen much, but he seems like such a sweetheart and hope to see more of him on the dash. The Mun:  amazingly talented, and the little Ive spoken with just a total sweetheart just like the character -3-.

Overall Opinion: alskdjalskdjlaskdj okay, I always loved reading your rps and shenanigans, and Ive wanted to ask you to RP for AGES but never dared to. And when you offered to rescue Faye in that old arc over at the old blog it made me freak out in the good way and flail all over the place cuz yes :’D

Even though I’m not really a part of the PAC community anymore and kinda under the radar, I wanna give some props to Katie, Sammie, Tia, and Yumi. They’re really talented at what they do, and whenever I needed help or anything they were always there for me to talk to without worrying incessantly about it. Some of the nicest people I think I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. ))

25. Did PAC change your opinion about anything in Pokemon?

It made me actually act on the interest I had in competitive battling!  I'd always been interested but never had people to do breeding, battling, building, etc with, or any real guidance. 

44. How does the mun differ from the muse?

Tony's a super confident, outgoing, and has the ability to be intimidating.  I have none of that.

( Well I gotta say, I'm pretty damn proud of Talli for not giving up on me before the last gym battle. Also though nobody got to see it, Talli definitely got more confident when they moved back to Johto. )
