First They Killed My Father

Ini novel autobiografi kesukaanku semenjak aku SD kalau nggak salah. Sebenarnya ini novelnya kakakku sih wkakakak. Aku emang hobi banget ambilin buku—nggak cuma buku ding, tapi juga pensil, pulpen, penggaris, kotak pensil, buku tulis kosong. Wkwkwk. Emang aku adek yang nggak modal banget—punya kakak terus nggak dikembaliin lagi 😂

Novel autobiografi ini menceritakan perjuangan gadis kecil dari Kamboja yang berusia 5 tahun, Loung Ung, saat negaranya dikudeta oleh Rezim Khmer Merah pada tahun 1975. Ia harus rela kehilangan seorang kakak, adik, dan orang tuanya diusianya yang begitu muda. Mewek aku kalau baca ini, meskipun udah berulangkali baca. Jadi, siap-siap tisu ya kalau mau baca buku ini.

Oh iya, novel ini didapat saat kakakku kunjungan ke stasiun MetroTV di acara Kick Andy. Dan ada bonus tanda tangannya Kick Andy jugaa. Makanya ini juga buku kesayangan kakakku.

Oliver Twist

Ini juga novel kesukaanku sedari SD. Dulu aku hobi banget pinjam ini ke perpus. Ya gimana ya, habisnya bagus sih wkwkkw. Dulu aku baca versi terbitan Pustaka Jaya kalau tidak salah. Pokoknya yang versi terlawas dari Bahasa Indonesia. Terus, waktu aku SMA, aku beli novel ini juga tapi yang berbahasa inggris dan sampai sekarang belum sempat kubaca.

Ini kisah yang ketika kalian baca mungkin harus mempersiapkan tisu juga. Seorang anak yatim piatu bernama Oliver Twist yang hidup pada masa Revolusi Industri—kalau tidak salah. Waktu di panti asuhan, ia dikambinghitamkan. Lalu ikut seorang tukang peti mati, dikambinghitamkan juga sama istri dan anak si tukang. Terus ia harus tinggal dan mau jadi anak buahnya perampok di usia yang cukup belia. Ia nggak pernah sekalipun merasa bahagia sampai akhirnya ia ketemu sama Tuan Brownlow dan diangkat anak.

Novel ini tuh sebenarnya kritikan dari Charles Dickens selaku penulis untuk pemerintah pada era Revolusi Industri.

Sherlock Holmes

Lebih tepatnya aku suka cerita Lembah Ketakutan dan Anjing Setan. Soalnya lebih intrik dibanding cerita yang lain. Pertama kali suka gegara lihat di toko buku, tapi sama kakak nggak boleh beli 😂 Terus pas SMP, dibeliin deh sama kakak sebagai hadiah ultah yang ke-15—yang versinya Indo Literasi: Kasus Baru Sherlock Holmes sama Memoir Sherlock Holmes.

Nah waktu aku ultah yang ke-17, kakak beliin aku versinya Gramedia, Koleksi Kasus 2 Sherlock Holmes. Seneeeeeng banget. Lalu, sebelum UN dan SBMPTN, aku sempat beli Koleksi Kasus 1 Sherlock Holmes dan berjanji sama diriku sendiri nggak bakalan baca buku ini sebelum aku keterima di PTN. Dan emang benar sih, waktu itu aku sama sekali nggak nyentuh buku itu meskipun udah pengen bangeeet. Buka plastiknya aja enggak 😂 Geregetan banget waktu itu wkwk. Tapi alhamdulillah sekarang udah ludes, habis kubaca semuaa.

Winter in Tokyo

Ada yang baca tetralogi 4 musim juga? Dari keempat novel tetraloginya Ilana Tan, aku paling suka sama buku ini. Sebenarnya sama Autumn in Paris, tapi ceritanya tragis banget dan aku nggak kuat kalau harus baca itu lagi.

Menurutku sih, Winter in Tokyo ceritanya lebih anget dan berkesan ketimbang 3 buku lain.

Kalau ini nih, karyanya Kak Oda Sekar (@purpleandods ). Jujur, setiap karyanya aku pasti suka. Dan Petjah adalah salah satunya. Bahkan aku sampe punya 2 gara-gara pengen yang extended versionnya wkwk. Btw kalian bisa lihat reviewannya di akun bookstagramku.

Sunshine Becomes You

Novel Ilana Tan yang satu ini juga sedih banget. Meskipun begitu, aku suka sama alurnya. Ini buku kesukaanku sedari SMP. Jujur, sampai sekarang aku belum pernah lihat film dari buku ini karena takut imajinasiku akan buku ini rusak wkwkwk. Dulu, waktu aku belum punya novel ini, aku selalu pinjam milik temanku. Baca dua harian langsung ludess. Akhirnya aku beli buku ini juga meskipun kakak sempat bilang "kamu kan udah pernah baca buku ini. Kenapa harus beli?" Ya biarinlah, namanya juga ngebet, Mas. Wkwkwk.

Oliv

Aku dan Oliv menyukai musik dengan genre berbeda. Oliv menyukai musik-musik dalam film-film Disney, terutama yang memiliki tempo yang lambat. Ia suka musik-musik Disney karena ia suka film-film Disney, seperti Cinderella, Aladdin, dll. Ia dapat membayangkan apa yang sedang terjadi di film tersebut ketika musik kesukaannya tersebut menjadi soundtracknya. Meski musik Disney mirip musik klasik bukan berarti Oliv juga penggemar musik klasik. Musik-musik Disney adalah yang paling top menurut Oliv.

Lula

Aku dan Lula bersekolah di SMA yang berbeda. Lula bersekolah di SMAN 1 Depok. Ia bersekolah disana karena sekolah tersebut dekat dengan rumahnya dan termasuk sekolah yang bagus di Depok. SMA ini cukup banyak meloloskan siswa ke PTN melalui jalur undangan. Lula suka sekolahnya ini juga karena banyak ekskul yang aktif yang bisa mengembangkan minat serta bakat siswa. Hal yang kurang menurutnya mungkin karena guru mereka memiliki banyak kegiatan sehingga terkadang tidak masuk kelas untuk mengajar.

Angel

Aku dan Angel berasal dari Propinsi yang berbeda. Angel berasal dari Propinsi Jakarta. Ia sebenarnya senang tinggal di Jakarta, namun ia juga merasa akan senang bila tinggal di negara lain atau di kota lain. Misalnya ia akan senang tinggal di Medan karena banyak makanan khas Medan yang ia sukai disana. Ia suka di Jakarta karena akses yang mudah dan banyak, namun ia juga kurang suka Jakarta karena harga di sini lebih mahal dari daerah-daerah lainnya.
