-ancient evil that predates Egypt

-has committed crimes of a time traveling nature

I ordered two munmuns and a ouioui from itemLabel and uh. I think I got secret rare munmun????

here's the happy family

I realized something about Peepy.

So, “Peepy” seems to be a word that can refer to both a species and an individual. Any Peepy can be referred to as “a Peepy” but we also frequently see it used as a personal name (e.g. “I’m Peepy the bad guy” in PPtrap.)

It becomes tempting to think that this is a kind of Super Mario Bros. situation a la Toad or Yoshi -- “Toads” and “Yoshis” are races, but there is also one specific “Toad” and one specific “Yoshi” that feature most prominently in the games. But something feels off about this. Almost like I’m missing something.

Then I realize. It just isn’t an adequate explanation. Peepy is consistently referred to as a single individual with highly specific traits. Peepy is a criminal. He dreams of swimming in the peanut pool. He constantly steals from people, seemingly indiscriminately, and has poor reading skills. “PPtrap” is in first person and entirely singular. The only official itemlabel video on the YouTube channel that ever actually acknowledges the existence of multiple Peepies is “itemlabel 2U,” and this can easily be explained by it being a semi-meta video discussing them as a product being offered by a company. Interestingly, though, as Baaulp’s warnings about not giving Peepy food become more panicked and desperate -- almost as if the corporate mask is slipping -- he actually slips into referring to him as a singular entity again.

There is, of course, an explanation for this. Peepy is not a species -- not exactly, anyways.

Peepy is a hivemind. 

There are different bodies with varying appearances, of course. Some are purple and fuzzy, some inexplicably resemble corn dogs, and some are patterned in a way reminiscent of a Holstein cow (this may be Peepy’s original and/or most favored appearance, as it seems to feature the most heavily in the official materials.) But all of them are the same Peepy. Their consciousness is one shared consciousness. One entity with inscrutable but undoubtedly nefarious intent, looking through countless eyes, learning everything it can about our world.

About us. 

And this just raises more questions. If every Peepy is the same Peepy, were there ever different Peepies? Was there ever a species? Which possibility is more terrifying -- that there used to be an entire race of Peepies and something happened to them, or that Peepy was always one, not arising through natural means but having always simply existed like some kind of dark god?

And what does this mean for OuiOui?
