¡No Creerás La Increíble Historia del Volkswagen Golf Harlequin 1996 que Encontramos Hoy! ¡Click Aquí Ahora! Mis amigos, tendremos que hablar del VW Golf Harlequin de 1996, muy particular que va a subasta en Bring a Trailer. Sí, es cierto, estamos hablando del Golf con una combinación de colores que parecería una broma para algunos, un mosaico para muchos, pero un emblema para los más atrevidos. Figuradamente, es como si el fabricante hubiera dejado que su niño pequeño eligiera los colores. Sin embargo, eso es precisamente lo que lo hace ser tan único. #QuirkyCars Es una edición limitada. Según los informes, VW solo construyó a mano 264 de estos modelos para el mercado norteamericano, y este es uno de ellos. Casi podríamos llamarlo Goldilocks porque es el número 99 de los 264 con un motor de 2.0 litros y una transmisión manual. El coche parece ser un ejemplo bien cuidado, con poco más de 76,000 millas en el odómetro y un interior que luce fresco como el primer día. Aquí es donde el Harlequin de VW se gana realmente su apodo, porque literalmente es como si estuviera hecho de piezas de otros Golfs de colores distintos. Las combinaciones de colores no siguen ninguna lógica aparente, y eso es lo que lo hace tan atractivo para los entusiastas. #AutomotiveArt Un dato divertido es que VW originalmente creó el concepto para exhibirlo en las ferias del automóvil europeas en 1995. La respuesta fue tan positiva que decidieron hacer una serie limitada. En ese momento, claramente no tenían idea de que serían un ícono para los amantes de los coches extravagantes. Yo sé lo que ustedes piensan. Un Golf con colores de arcoiris debe ser absolutamente ridículo, ¿verdad? Bueno, aquí es donde quiero detenerme un minuto. Para algunas personas ¡eso es lo que lo hace tan interesante! No estamos hablando de un superdeportivo de alto rendimiento o una joya clásica antigua y respetuosa. No, señores, estamos hablando de un Volkswagen Golf de los 90 que parece una pieza de arte contemporáneo. ¡Claro! Podríamos pasar horas debatiendo sobre el gusto e interpretaciones artísticas en cuanto a coches. Por cierto, ¿Vale la pena mencionar que hay personas que tienen la audacia de decir que los coches alemanes son aburridos? Si me preguntan, ese comentario suena más a una declaración provocadora que a un argumento bien fundamentado. No hay nada aburrido en la calidad alemana y mucho menos cuando hablamos de vehículos míticos, como este VW Golf Harlequin. Es evidente que esta peculiaridad no es del agrado de todos, y para eso los coches convencionales son más que suficientes. Pero para aquellos con un sentido del gusto fuera de lo ordinario, un VW Golf Harlequin ¡es una delicia! Un ejemplo perfecto de cómo un coche tan común puede ser transformado en una obra de arte móvil. ¿Y a quién no le gusta tener algo único? No cabe duda que este Golf despierta emociones y debate. Y, después de todo, eso es lo que debería hacer un buen coche, ¿verdad? Entonces, ¿por qué seguir con la idea de que los coches solo deben seguir una gama de colores convencionales, cuando este "payaso" podría ser una ventanilla abierta a la creatividad? #CustomCars

One of my personal highlights this year: The @ps.speicher's Oldtimertage Einbeck with the 1964 Amphicar I had the pleasure to drive the whole weekend. A first test drive on Friday with @oldtimermaedchen and @carstenclassiccars, on Saturday the Oldtimer-Rally with @tanja.fichtner, as well as the corso through Einbeck on Sunday. What a fantastic weekend we had, including nice evenings with a couple of beers (or some more) with @petrolpunx, @poleposition.pictures and the guys from the PS.Speicher. Big thanks to all! 1970 KVD 441-B "Tjorven" Kalmar-DAF for @jobjoris' #workhorseweek. 2170 Tjorvens were built 1968-1971 in Kalmar (Sweden), mainly for the Swedish post, based on the DAF 44 (with Variomatic).
