Just out of curiosity, why do you gif Harry and his shows so often but almost never do the same for Louis?
I do gif Louis' concerts as well but I've been helping out a friend with louis' updates pretty much his entire tour by recording livestreams of important bits, finding hq pics and videos from twitter as well to post there. I even log into her account and post them at times when she can't. I also have a whole blog to share louis' tour videos. All of that kinda consumes my time and by the time I can think of giffing, the good videos are already done so i'd rather reblog them.

At this point how sure are we even if there's anyone employed in lthq's social media dept. Sometimes I feel it's just Oli posting on that account as and when he wishes😭 like they have somebody creating the content but oli has the password. Cause I for my life cannot imagine someone doing rookie mistakes during an album rollout.
lol. have you seen lthq. literally all they do is make mistakes.
it's someone's job to run those accounts, and they get paid to do so. and it's a joke.

What days did one have in lockdown? The start was so happy and energetic. Will have healthy food, will do regular workouts and reduce all the body fat from eating junks. From trying new recipes to posting those snapshots to make other jealous and yourself proud that you could cook. All the workouts, zumba or yoga sessions were fun as you thought you had to be home for along time. Catching up with your parents, and relieving your childhood by playing those games that were long forgotten as you grew up. As no maids were allowed, the household chores were distributed and sweeping or mopping the floor was always the task given to you. Many discovered what inner talents they had. Some started making igtv's of the talents they had. Makeup, diys and even music were the most found while scrolling instagram. New beauty bloggers are out on the socials. Cooking was the most done as you never knew you could make pancakes or donuts with stuff available at your home. Painting your nails yourself or giving a haircut to someone in your house was how you spent making lockdown more fun. Many content creators came out with new content and many people started many tiktoks. While cleaning the house, childhood pictures were found. But those who were away from their family werent that happy. They were all alone, but yet they spent their time by doing work. The zoom meetings to the household party games, one had spent their afternoons with smiles. Even though one received virtual hugs from their partners, they still needed comforting and cuddly hugs. Catching up on the shows you had still left to binge watching them so you dont get bored. Playing games and sharing memes in the groups, one didnt knew when this time would end. As days extended and being isolated, one wanted to leave the house and party till the dawn. To make goa plans again, but didn't knew when it would execute. The deaths that happened during the lockdown or the soldiers that martyred, everything was tragic and heartbreakening. But everything will have an end and nothing is impossible. We will be back and have a new start. But this time what we will have is a mask and distance from others. . - Shruti Thakkar https://www.instagram.com/p/CBxxt_uHUEp/?igshid=1eu95ky7ovv9g

Teachers and Studios on Bringing Their Yoga Classes Online
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If we were told a few months back that all studios would be closed, retreats cancelled and public classes banished we wouldn’t have believed it. Yoga Teachers and Studios livelihoods rely on their students to show up and when this isn’t possible, times can be worrying.  It is astounding to see the yoga industry evolve to offer classes online, whole studio timetables now available online and teachers and students working together to bring yoga to our homes when we need it most.  We caught up with some Yoga Teachers and studio owners in our network to hear about how they have adapted to the change. For those who are feeling overwhelmed by the change, we hope that this piece will lift your spirits – because we are all in this together, collectively hoping to share happiness, health and love to one another, however we can.

What are you offering? I am offering my full schedule on line, x 6 – 8 classes a week, with live streaming, donation based classes. I’m also providing some free content including short videos and some Relaxation evenings/ home retreats which I’m hoping to help as many people as possible relax, connect with their bodies, de-stress and manage anxiety. Also to provide a sense of community and move away from fear into connecting with hope, love and the best qualities of humanity. I’m also going to put together a short course – Introduction to Meditation –  for the home office – How to navigate these uncharted waters with more ease. What challenges have you faced or what have you been surprised by? I’ve been surprised at how much it’s helping people. I’m getting really positive feedback and its great to see how many people are keen to join in and embrace new technology!  I have faced a few teething issues (like muting myself accidentally half way through a class!) But each time I do it, it gets a little easier! What is your advice would you like to share to other teachers and the yoga community? If you’re a teacher, now is the time for seva, (service) and your students need you now more than ever, so do reach out to them. As teachers we have the toolkit, the science of yoga, to help them to regulate their nervous system through their breath and find space and calm amongst these crazy and uncertain times. Don’t be afraid about being on line, if its new for you, it can be challenging, but start small, maybe doing a little live, or even pre-recording a video and sharing. You don’t need loads of fancy equipment, or a huge space and it doesn’t matter what you look like, just be authentically you! Remember Done is better than perfect! So move through the self doubt as the world now more than ever, needs your yoga!  I know that many of us rely on our teaching for our income so do ask for a donation / payment if you’re offering full classes. Maybe offer smaller free offerings or donations for those who struggle financially. At this time we need to dig deep, double up on our self care and practice what we preach! If you’re a student of yoga, reach out to your teacher and tell them what you’d like them to share and how you can support each other. We don’t know how long this will go on for, so we need to all pull together and provide support for each other and the yoga community!

What are you offering? All my classes are online now – so that’s mainly yoga flows and meditations.  I’ve got something going on every day as I’m trying to keep busy and my regular clients are really needing their practice more than ever.  I’m streaming via Zoom and IGTV and my schedule is on my website. From Monday EVERY DAY at 8:30am, I’ll be offering a daily meditation and motivational video on IGTV.  I want to help people get their ducks in a row early doors, so they align with their intentions and get the most from their day.  This type of grounding work is so valuable and consistency is absolutely key. I’ve got clients that will put this on for their kids too when the schools close.  Hopefully it will set the tone for the day and give some structure to the people who follow it regularly.    What challenges have you faced or what have you been surprised by? Teaching online is TOTALLY different to teaching in real life.  I don’t think I’ve ever fully appreciated that and I’m massively out of my comfort zone!  I am learning something new with each class and it’s really giving me a sense of purpose at the moment.  It’s also given me a real respect for anyone that has ever put themselves out there online and shared this type of work.  It takes guts.   Another challenge is the logistics of course.  Generally I’m okay with tech stuff, but wouldn’t say that I’m the best, so I’m having to learn a lot on that front too.  Currently I’m taking donations for classes (from those who can afford to pay) via my website, but I know that this could be a lot slicker, so I’ll aim to refine that in the next few days.  Classes are obviously free for key workers.  I am pleasantly surprised by the way in which we’re all supporting one another.  The teaching community, small local businesses, everyone really, we’re all rooting for each other and I love that.       What advice would you like to share to the other teachers and the yoga community? Wash your hands and don’t touch your face.  Seriously though, If you’re thinking of doing something similar, DO IT!!!! You can set up streams for your regular students if you’re not comfortable with opening the net wider.  Honestly, it’s easier to set up than you think.   I’d also ask people giving completely free classes to question what that says about the value that you place on what we offer as practitioners.  For sure at the moment, there will be people who cannot afford to pay and they should not have to. But there will also be people who can afford to make a contribution and they absolutely should.  We are all turning to these practices to ease the heightened feeling of anxiety. How can that not be worth something?  Essentially, as I am learning, you just need to back yourself and get on with it.  I know teaching is a very personal and vulnerable thing, but what you offer can and will help someone.  If you have the capacity to do this, then you must, particularly in this time of need and uncertainty. I wish you all the best of health and am sending high vibes to everyone.

What are you offering? We’re offering on-line classes to all of our members. We have also created social media groups where our teachers are sharing videos and free resources. I am in the process of expanding our on-line offering with some pop up events to learn new fun skills eg. quiz night, knitting group , arts and crafts, strictly come dancing classes (learn some basic steps). A variety of activities to keep our members active and inspired. What challenges have you faced or what have you been surprised by? Technology! Communicating with members via so many different ways WhatsApp, Texts, Social groups and making sure everyone has seen the communications! Also making so many quick decisions – not knowing if they are right but no time to procrastinate – trust your intuition! I have been so surprised how important classes are to people a familiar face. How well the on-line classes have been received. I did one I loved it. Connection is so important right now. It’s amazing what we can do in a week if we have to! What is your advice would you like to share to other teachers and the yoga community? Advice – it doesn’t have to be perfect just get something up and running asap. Keep your community close, involve your Teachers, ask for help, communicate not just email get on video pick up the phone. Think what else do customers need. Kindness will go along way so think long term not short term.
Nicole Andrews, FloYoga
Tumblr media
What are you offering? We are running a full schedule on Zoom that is booked through mind body from Monday onwards. We started with some donation based classes on IG live for the last few days to trial out how online would work with our community. What challenges have you faced or what have you been surprised by? Really surprised by how much people wanted us to continue at home and its been so amazing the amount of support from our community and beyond practicing at such a challenging time with us and donating to help keep us alive! Challenges are things like music and how to set it up and use it online, how to see if everyone is getting what you are teaching and it is clear or the level etc in class, we hope to get some people using webcam when we go on to Zoom to combat this. What is your advice would you like to share to other teachers and the yoga community? It can be nerve–wracking especially the first couple of times, but like anything new it just takes practice and then you get more comfortable. It’s almost like a reminder of what it was like to start teaching all over again, and has you questioning everything as it’s live for the world to see! Without the ability to have live feedback from students in the room you don’t really know much till after. So really believe in yourself and what you’re doing, it can be daunting as there’s so many offerings but it’s no different to the options in person. Don’t compare yourself to other offerings online, let’s all support each other where we can and enjoy this new challenge! "3 “ I mean, you can argue what you like about his romantic life but the man has rarely done paid promo, “ He literally have no conten on his IG which is not promo. And he doesn’t really transparent about it because he using Rosemary Water as a background prop. Visible enough but he doesn’t use the ad hastag.
4.” you are NOT” entitled to a single damn thing...” I hope you are bombing with the sugars with that too, because they are doing the same, they are just organizing their wedding and picking up baby names.
Going there Insta page and spread hate is awful and I have never done that. But I am entitled to and I have a right to express my opinion on my on space, and if you want to know I think I am doing a pretty great job to be respectful."
3- It's an endorsement, not an ad, unless he's talking about the Rosemary water he doesn't need to use a ad tag.
He posts the personal stuff to his regular feed, using igtv for his endorsement is not a crime.
4. I literally don't care, like I said, Cavill is only a small part of the problem with people thinking it's to feel entitled to people personal info just because "you put money in their pocket", they can be engaged, secretly married or have a baby on the way, idc, it's not my business to speculate about.
2. The first part of the message was for the anon I quoted, the other part of it was for people in general and I never said you couldn't express your opinion, but there's a limit to everything and this continuous debate is really ridiculous, especially when not a single person commenting have no factual knowledge of what's going on, myself included, which is why I won't even comment on it again, at the end of the day, and I will repeat this one last time, it's no one business.

How AI & ML are Transforming Social Media?
With the advancement in technology and artificial intelligence, various AI-based application platforms have been gaining popularity for a long time. AI has turned out to be a boom for popular Social Media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. To know more about AI and Machine Learning development services in Social Media, continue reading this article!
Today Artificial Intelligence has been a major component of popular Social Media platforms. At the current level of progress, AI for social media has been a powerful tool.
What is Artificial Intelligence? The term artificial intelligence (AI) refers to any human-like intelligence shown by a machine, robot, or computer. It refers to the ability of machines to mimic or copy the intelligence level of the human mind. This may include actions like understanding and responding to voice commands, learning from previous records, problem-solving, and decision-making. Many companies are providing AI application development services, which has made it easy for organizations to adopt AI and ML-based applications. What is Machine Learning?
In general terms, Machine learning (ML) is a subset of AI focusing on building applications and software that can learn from past experiences and data and improve accuracy without being specifically programmed to do so. Machine learning applications learn more from data and are designed to deliver accurate results.
How AI works? Not going deep into the engineerings and software development part of AI, here is just a basic description of working of AI:
Using ML, AI tries to mimic human intelligence. AI can make predictions using algorithms and historical data.
AI and ML in Social Media
Today, there exist several applications of AI and ML in different social media platforms. Big Companies have been using AI for a long time and are still into improvising their platforms and also acquiring small firms. There exist varieties of
AI and Machine Learning App Development Services
that are making the adoption of AI and ML possible.
AI is being used on Social Media platforms in various ways. Some of them are mentioned below:
   Analyzing pictures and texts
   Advertising
   Avoiding unwanted or negative promotions
   Spam detection
   Data collection
   Content flow decisions
   Social media insights, etc.
It may sound surprising but your favorite social media apps are already using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
1. Facebook and AI
Whenever it comes to social media, the first name that comes to mind is Facebook. Talking about cutting-edge technology, repurposing user data broken down into billions of accounts, Facebook is the leading social media platform.
Users on Facebook are allowed to upload pictures, watch videos, read texts and blogs, engage with different social groups, and perform many other functions.
Thinking of such a crazy and huge amount of data, a question arises how Facebook handles such data? Here, AI in Facebook comes in handy.
Facebook and the use of AI in Social Media
Here are some major examples of AI applications in Social Media:
* Facebook’s Text Analyzing
Facebook has an AI-based tool “DeepText”. This tool provides deep learning and helps the back-end team to understand the texts better and that too around multiple languages and hence provide better and more accurate advertising to the users.
* Facebook’s Picture Analyzing
Facebook uses Machine Learning to recognize faces in the photos being uploaded. Using face recognition, Facebook helps you find users that are not known to you. This feature also helps in detecting Catfishes (fake profiles created using your profile picture).
The algorithm also has an amazing feature of text explanations that can help visually disabled people by explaining to them what’s in the picture.
* Facebook’s Bad Content Handling
Using the same tool, DeepText, Facebook has been hailing the inappropriate or bad content that gets posted. After getting notified by AI, the team gets to work to understand and investigate the content.
As per the company guidelines, we get to see a few things that are flagged as inappropriate content:
   Nudity or sexual activity
   Hate Speech or symbols
   Spam
   Fake Profiles or fraud
Contents containing excessive violence or self-harm.
   Violence or Dangerous organizations
   Sale of illegal goods
   Intellectual property violations, etc.
   Facebook’s Suicide Preventions
With the same tool, DeepText, Facebook can recognize posts or searches that represent suicidal thoughts or activities.
Facebook has been playing a crucial role in suicide prevention. With the support of an analysis based on human moderators, Facebook can send videos and ads containing suicide prevention content to these specific users.
Facebook’s Automatic Translation
Facebook has also adapted AI for translating posts automatically in various languages. This helps the translation be more personalized and accurate.
2. Instagram with AI
Instagram is a photo and video-sharing social media platform that has been owned by Facebook since 2012. Users can upload pictures, videos (reels and IGTV) of their lifestyle, and other stuff and share them with their followers.
This platform is used by individuals, businesses, fictional characters, and pets as well. Managing all the data manually is next to impossible. Therefore, Instagram has developed AI algorithms and models making it the best platform experience for its regular users.
Instagram and the use of AI
* Instagram Decides What Gets on Your Feed
The Explore feature in Instagram uses AI. The suggested posts that you get to see on your explore section are based on the accounts that you follow and the posts you’ve liked.
Through an AI-based system, Instagram extracts 65 billion features and does 90 million model predictions per second.
The huge amount of data that they collect, helps them to show the users what they like.
* Instagram’s Fighting against Cyberbullying
While Facebook and Twitter are dependent mostly on reports from users, Instagram automatically checks content based on hashtags from other users, using AI. In case something is found against the community guidelines, the AI makes sure that the content is removed from Instagram.
* Instagram’s Spam Filtering
Instagram’s AI is capable of recognizing and removing Spam messages from user’s inboxes and that too in 9 different languages.
With the help of Facebook’s DeepText tool, Instagram’s AI can understand the spam context in most situations for more filtration.
* Instagram’s Improved Target Advertising
Instagram can keep a track of which posts have most of the user engagements or the user’s search preferences. Later, Instagram with the help of AI makes target advertisements for companies based on all such databases.
* Instagram handling Bad Contents
Since Instagram is owned by Facebook, more or less, Instagram also follows the same community guidelines over bad content.
3. Twitter and Use of AI
On average, Twitter users post around 6,000 tweets per second. In such a case, AI gets necessary for dealing with such a huge amount of data.
* Tweet Recommendations - AI in Twitter
Twitter firstly implemented AI to improve and give users a better user experience (UX) that would be capable of finding interesting tweets. Now, with the help of AI, Twitter also detects and removes fraud, propaganda, inappropriate content, and hateful accounts.
This recommendation algorithm works in a very interesting way as it learns from your actions over the platform. The tweets are ranked to decide their level of interest, based on the individual users.
AI also considers your past activities of engaging with various types of tweets and uses it to recommend similar tweets.
* Twitter Enhancing Your Pictures - AI in Twitter
Posting of pictures on Twitter was introduced in the year, 2011. Since then, it has been working over an algorithm that is capable of cropping images automatically.
Firstly, they created an algorithm that focused on cropping images based on face recognition, because not every image is supposed to have a face on it. Thus the algorithm was not acceptable.
AI is now used over the platform to crop images before posting them, to make the image look more attractive.
* Tweets Filtration - AI in Twitter
Twitter uses AI to take down inappropriate images and accounts from the platform. Accounts connected to terrorism, manipulation, or spam are taken down using this feature.
* Twitter Fastening the Process -  AI in Twitter
How did Twitter use AI to speed up the platform?
For this, Twitter uses a technique called Knowledge Distillation to train smaller networks imitating the slower but strong networks. The larger network was used to generate predictions over a set of images. Then, they developed a  pruning algorithm to remove the part of the neutral network.
Using these two models Twitter managed to work over cropping of images 10x faster than ever before.
4. AI in Snapchat
Snapchat started by acquiring two AI companies. In 2015, it first acquired Looksery, a Ukrainian startup, to improvise its animated lenses feature. Secondly, it acquired AI Factory to enhance its video capabilities.
* Snapchat’s Text Recognition in Videos
Snapchat uses AI to recognize texts in the video, which then adds content to your “Snap”. If you type “Hello”, it automatically creates a comic icon or Bitmoji in the video.
* Snapchat- Cameo Feature
AI in Snapchat can be used to edit one’s face in a video. Using the Cameo feature, the users can create a cartoon video of themselves.
From the above-mentioned renowned, we can extract a list of benefits of AI and ML in Social Media, which is given below:
   Prediction of user’s behavior
Recognition of inappropriate or bad content
   Helps in improving user’s experience
More personalized experience to the users
Gathering of valuable information and user data.
AI has also helped understand human psychology, tracking multiple characteristics of your behavior and responses.

Article 2 How do you beat Instagram algorithm 2021?
Past friendly calculation refreshes have shaken brands' natural reach and can leave advertisers scrambling to both comprehend the progressions and reconsider their essential methodology.
In this guide, we'll separate the condition of the Instagram calculation as far as we might be concerned. We'll moreover jump into some particular procedures and strategies to guarantee that you're augmenting your natural reach as the calculation keeps on advancing.
9 procedures and strategies to outfox the Instagram calculation
Step up your photograph quality
As per Instagram themselves, positioning higher in your devotees' feeds goes connected at the hip with making "incredible substance."
Easy decision, isn't that so? But what comprises "great substance" is subjective depending on each person's preferences and doesn't give us numerous particulars.
Continue to distribute predictable Stories
This may appear to be somewhat of a regressive tip, however, listen to us.
Stories don't have such an effect on the Instagram calculation.
Stories give a real, expedient approach to draw in your crowd that individuals love. They additionally push your image's record to the front of your adherents' Stories refreshes, putting you upfront on their feed thus.
To put it plainly, Stories will reliably keep your profile springing up. This spells uplifting news for commitment as your supporters are continually being urged to look at your substance.
Distribute more video content
Instagram doesn't out and out say that video is focused on over photographs.
They might persuade that they're dealt with something very similar, yet we should burrow somewhat more profound concerning why video merits your consideration.
Recollect what we said before regarding eye-popping content? Given that video autoplay in your supporters' feeds, there's ostensibly no more excellent approach to catch somebody's eye when they're staying there looking over.
Tackle the force of your hashtags
The more eyes on your posts, the better.
Hashtags can help pull in those eyes very quickly.
Counting hashtags as a component of your substance technique guarantees that your posts are accessible. A mix of the marked, item and local area hashtags addresses the ideal tempest of empowering commitment.
Post during top hours
Maybe the most direct approach to win with the Instagram calculation is to post during top hours.
Distributing during busy times doesn't energize a surge of movement because of the non-sequential feed. Showing improvement over-posting when your crowd is sleeping, however.
Everybody's crowd is unique and thusly will be generally drawn in on various occasions. That is the reason highlights, for example, Sprout's ViralPost is significant, naturally recognizing when your supporters are bound to see your substance. You would then be able to plan your presents ahead of time on hit on those occasions.
How do you beat Instagram algorithm 2021?
Past social algorithm updates have rocked brands’ organic reach and can leave marketers scrambling to both understand the changes and rethink their strategic approach.
In this guide, we’ll break down the state of the Instagram algorithm as we know it. We’ll likewise dive into some specific strategies and tactics to ensure that you’re maximizing your organic reach as the algorithm continues to evolve.
9 strategies and tactics to outsmart the Instagram algorithm
Based on what we know about how the algorithm works and what we’ve seen firsthand at Sprout, growing your reach and engagement is possible in the face of the algorithm.
Below is a snapshot of the strategies and tactics you should employ if you want to guarantee that more people see your content.
Step up your photo quality
According to Instagram themselves, ranking higher in your followers’ feeds goes hand in hand with creating “great content.”
No-brainer, right? Except what constitutes “good content” is in the eye of the beholder and doesn’t give us many specifics.
Regardless, there’s no denying that the most-liked and shared content on Instagram is oftentimes visually striking.
Bold colors. Breathtaking landscapes. The sort of stuff that gets people to stop in their tracks and smash “Like.”
If you’re already creating eye-popping content, you’re ahead of the curve.
And if not, you may want to think about producing some professional visuals from time to time. Even if you’re in a seemingly “boring” industry, high-quality photos are an expectation rather than an exception to the rule.
Also, consider that there are tons of Instagram apps out there like VSCO which can give your imagery a more professional vibe on a budget.
Keep publishing consistent Stories
This might seem like a bit of a backward tip, but hear us out.
Supposedly, Stories do not have any sort of influence on the Instagram algorithm.
So why bother posting ’em?
Well, consider first of all that they’re easily the most popular type of content on the platform. Instagram Stories just passed the 500 million daily user mark which is nothing to scoff at. The popularity of Stories might also be contributing to brands posting less content on their traditional feed, resulting in lower engagement.
Rather than choose between Stories and regular posts, your mentality should be “Why not both?”
Stories provide an authentic, speedy way to engage your audience that people love. They also push your brand’s account to the front of your followers’ Stories updates, putting you quite literally front and center on their feed as a result.
In short, Stories will consistently keep your profile popping up. This spells good news for engagement as your followers are constantly being encouraged to check out your content.
Publish more video content
Instagram doesn’t downright say that video is prioritized over photos.
The might lead us to believe that they’re treated the same, but let’s dig a bit deeper as to why video deserves your attention.
Remember what we said earlier about eye-popping content? Given that video autoplay in your followers’ feeds, there’s arguably no better way to grab someone’s attention when they’re sitting there scrolling.
And if we’re following the logic behind Facebook’s algorithm, we want followers to spend as long as possible engaging with our profiles. Short-form and long-form videos require people to stop and look, plain and simple.
Instagram’s platform has been pushing video hard lately through stories and IGTV. Instagram just announced that IGTV content will now begin appearing in your followers’ feeds rather than being confined to IGTV itself. This is huge news that again signals that Instagram wants to see creators producing videos.
Go live more often
A quick tip, but one worth mentioning.
Like Stories, Live video doesn’t have any specific bearing on the Instagram algorithm.
However, Instagram Live does generate notifications to followers by putting itself atop your followers’ Stories feeds as well.
The beauty of live video is that you’re expecting to produce something simple and off-the-cuff. This means there’s less pressure once again for professional, polished content. Just like brands should experiment with traditional video, live video is also something to explore.
Craft more compelling captions
The Instagram algorithm supposedly prioritizes engagement.
That means likes and shares are valuable currency.
We often stress that likes and shares are mere vanity metrics and brands should be concerned with more pressing metrics.
But encouraging interactions directly is fair game on Instagram. Doing so is also so easy as you can ask followers directly to drop a comment.
For example, tag-a-friend or question-based captions are a great way to get people talking. Conversations encourage interactions which is a positive signal to Instagram.
Harness the power of your hashtags
The more eyes on your posts, the better.
Hashtags can help attract those eyes in a matter of seconds.
Including hashtags as part of your content strategy ensures that your posts are essentially searchable. A combination of branded, product, and community hashtags represents the perfect storm of encouraging engagement.
Post during peak hours
Perhaps the most straightforward way to win with the Instagram algorithm is to post during peak hours.
Publishing during peak times doesn’t necessarily encourage a flood of activity due to the non-chronological feed. Doing so is certainly better than posting when your audience is asleep, though.
Everyone’s audience is different and therefore will be most engaged at different times. That’s why features such as Sprout’s ViralPost are valuable, automatically detecting when your followers are more likely to see your content. You can then schedule your posts in advance to hit on those times.

Please join me, for what will be a lively discussion on all things Justice, Empathy & Sitting with HARD topics. @molly.borst and I will be on IGTV Live today, Tuesday 10/13 at 10am EST. I always ask for a Bio. Nobody ever has one. However, Everyone always throws together some pretty great stuff. Here’s what Molly threw my way: Molly Borst was born and raised in Ohio and relocated to Charlotte 4 years ago, with her husband Mike and their four boys. . She and Mike met at Miami University. They’ve been married for over two decades. . From a young age she knew there was something different about her that she could quite pinpoint. As she has grown and matured she realized it’s not a difference but a gift; a deeply held belief that empathy can help heal the world. . One of the best things she did was create an online book club (long before Covid made that a normal thing) to discuss necessary, and uncomfortable, topics like systemic racism, the eviction epidemic, refugees/defectors and our current mental health crisis. . She finds it energizing to meet and chat with others who are doing their own hard work of the heart; healing, learning, growing, changing and moving towards wholeness. . She loves Mary Oliver’s poetry, everything Bryan Steveson does, moving her body, reading and her virtual book club sisters, who have provided her with a profound sense of belonging.  What I love about Molly is that she makes us “regular” folks know that we can change the world. Starting with the small social world we orbit. Daily. We all need to be encouraged right where we are. Molly will do that for you. Best Tips to Attract Customers With eCommerce Video Marketing
You might have come across several eCommerce advertisements daily if you are a regular social media user. Video marketing gained its popularity years ago, but it is delightful to see that it is also changing now. The formulas that were used in the 90s and early 2000 are now getting redefined. Easy access to the internet and smartphone can change this field of marketing. Audiences and consumers are also becoming smart with their choices. They are looking for something authentic to believe and rely on. And hence the strategies of companies are also changing.
Tumblr media
Initially, the only mode of advertisement was through television. Now the medium has also changed. People can feel what connects and what does not. The attention period of the audience has changed and shortened. The more confined and short an ad is, the more chance of it is to reach further. Since this field has become a little complex to understand, and because of the vast number of platforms, it is also challenging to choose which one is more liable. So for those small businesses, and startups, this article will share some tactics to increase your audience with eCommerce video marketing.
Statistics
The most important thing is the statistics. One should understand the numbers properly while doing the business as numbers speak it all. Before investing in this area of eCommerce video marketing, one must thoroughly study which platforms are useful, what is trending among people, how the theme needs to be chosen, and, most importantly, how you want to portrait your company among your consumers. A great strategy can ease the rest of the process and also saves time and money.
Studies say:
Over 80% of the companies are using eCommerce video marketing as it is the most convenient way to communicate with consumers. Videos can effectively convey thoughts and goals.
Videos themselves have proven to be a useful mode of communication with the customers. Company data says they can reach about 90% of their target audience through video advertisements.
The vertical video frame is the most wanted and desired frame among users. They say it is easy to watch a video in a vertical structure; otherwise, they need to change the screen orientation.
YouTube has two billion users worldwide. And every day, one billion video hours are played on YouTube.
Authenticity
The more authentic the content is, the more chances are that the audience is going to love it. What our world is losing right now is authenticity. When something got popular, or some marketing formula got hit, everyone started using it like some herd of sheep. Very few organizations try to experiment and create something more real. Today’s audience is brilliant, they know what they want. So if you are going to give them some copied stuff, they will reject it.
Moreover, consumers want to watch more original videos defining them; those high brand value shoots aren’t going to help you reach your customer. Try to show them the flaws, the hard work, the failures, and the success.
So media companies should write relatable scripts that are inspired by society, memes, and pop culture. And should keep changing the technique as the world is also changing day by day. Consumers want to see themselves and relate themselves to those situations; only then can you impress them.
Dove has done a beautiful campaign for ‘Choose Beautifully.’ If you have some time to spare, check the video online. It represents the women of all around the world and their insecurity of being not beautiful. It was heart-touching watching something like that, and a fantastic idea to reach to their target audience.
Social Media
After YouTube, Instagram is also growing its popularity in advertising platforms. It is also improving and updating new features to the application to make it more user-friendly. Companies can recruit the influencers for original reviews, which also help the marketing connect with the influencers’ followers.
The features on Instagram, like stories, IGTV, promote poll, question-answer, contest option, featuring Live, are helpful. Among all online buyers, about 48% put Instagram stories with the products and reviews, which eventually help the brand gain raw opinion, authentic publicity, and word-to-word recommendations. The Marketing teams can put behind the scene footage in stories to connect better.
The National Geographic channel used it well. They put a picture of Yellowstone and asked its audience which year it became the 1st National Park, and gave two options. It is a great way to connect to the target audience directly and also helps to keep them engaged.
Silent Videos
Silent videos are unexpectedly doing well. Initially, it was introduced on Facebook; later, they are being adopted by YouTube and Instagram. It turns out, and people are liking watching silent videos online.
Videos with short and defined instructions are becoming popular among people, and audiences are also finding it convenient to attend. Make a short, hyper-lapsed, and exciting video ad; consumers are going to love the advertisement.
VR, AR and 360-degree
Virtual reality, 360 Degree, and AR are not very accessible. But they are the future, as the 5G network is slowly started to rule the era. Studies say 86% of people find 360-degree videos more engaging and exciting. It can be made more appealing by adding creative art and originality to it.
One can learn a fantastic example from Google Doodles 360 degree advertisement. It is fascinating and fun to watch a video in a 360-degree view, which means apart from what the video serves, and it allows us to explore another new corner of the video. However, making such videos can cost a bit more and is also time-consuming.
Use the tips mentioned above and engage your potential customers in a unique way with video marketing.

IGTV Views are Suddenly Skyrocketing: Is It Finally Becoming Cool?
8 months ago, Instagram announced a new platform that would “change the social video landscape” forever: IGTV.
Standing on a stage with influencers and YouTube celebrities, Instagram founder and former CEO Kevin Systrom declared that it was “time for video to move forward and evolve.”
Vertical video was the future and it was time for everyone to get on board with IGTV, the next big thing and expected rival to YouTube.
But the IGTV hype did not last long, and low views combined with the extra effort of creating vertical video led many creators and brands to abandon ship and write off the channel entirely.
Tumblr media
The original IGTV launch partners didn’t last long either, creating only an average of 5 IGTV videos each before leaving to stick with their bread and butter: YouTube.
Despite its initial lackluster stats, some brands have excelled and invested heavily in IGTV production, and Instagram hasn’t given up on their mission to get people to actually watch IGTV videos.
Just last week, Instagram announced that IGTV previews would now appear in the regular Instagram feed, along with videos being shared to Instagram profiles.
Since that change, views on IGTV videos have skyrocketed across the board, increasing by ~300-1000%, providing a strong indicator that IGTV isn’t dead yet.
So, where does IGTV stand now? Who is actually watching IGTV, and what brands are succeeding on the platform?
Will Instagram’s latest push to include IGTV videos in the regular feed be enough to save the vertical video platform?
Keep reading to find out.
Tumblr media
IGTV: What Went Wrong?
Given the success of Instagram Stories, when IGTV first launched in June last year, expectations were understandably high. But it didn’t quite deliver the “game-changing” experience that many predicted.
Unusually, Instagram has been slow to bring in new features or comment on their new channel’s growth.
So where did things go wrong?
A steep learning curve
Thanks to Snapchat and Instagram Stories, businesses have had plenty of time to get familiar with vertical video. But there’s a big difference between creating a 15-second story in vertical video, and creating a highly-produced 20-minute video with music, transitions, video effects, and more.
This partly explains why IGTV’s numbers have been so low: long-form video content is still new territory for most people.
Even if you have stepped up from the amateur video producer ranks on YouTube, IGTV is a whole new playing field. It’s a steep learning curve and it takes dedicated resources and time to master.

Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom acknowledged how challenging the new format is for brands in an interview with TechCrunch, noting that: “One of the things I like most about [IGTV] is that it’s actually fairly difficult to just take videos that exist online and simply repost them. [It] basically forces everyone to create new stuff.”
This idea of IGTV as a marketplace for fresh content is great, but it also creates barriers. Not everyone is willing to take a leap of faith and spend hours creating unique content for IGTV, especially given the channel’s weak viewership.
And that’s true for professional content creators as well. When we break it down, it’s about effort versus reward: does it really make sense to spend “x” number of hours shooting and editing a video that (probably) won’t perform well and can only be published to one channel?
Lack of monetization options
Money-making and revenue-sharing features on IGTV are non-existent at the moment, giving creators even less of an incentive to join the platform.
Whereas popular YouTubers can make anywhere from $3 to $10 per 1000 video views, Instagram doesn’t pay a dime for IGTV content (which, as we’ve already mentioned, is a lot harder to create).
This is problematic. If Instagram’s goal is to be a vertical video alternative to YouTube, they need to win over both YouTube’s younger audience and it’s biggest stars. But that likely won’t happen until it adds revenue-sharing or other monetization options for creators.
  View this post on Instagram
Even IGTV’s original launch partners (a select group of celebrities, influencers, and YouTube personalities) haven’t stuck around long.
Since last June, @kingbach has only published 11 videos on IGTV (7 of which aren’t vertical video and were repurposed from other channels), @ninja and @babyariel have each posted just 5 videos, @kevinhart4real has posted 7 (his last IGTV video was in October), and @katieaustin has posted just 4 videos since IGTV’s launch.

INSTAGRAM SQUAD 👀
According to Ashley Yuki, IGTV’s head of product, all of these concerns are on Instagram’s radar. “It’s a very important area for us,” Yuki said in an interview with Variety. “It’s super top-of-mind for us because we know it takes a lot of time and effort to create this kind of content.”
Want to be one of the first to know when Instagram launches a new feature? Subscribe to the Later newsletter to get the latest Instagram features and trends right to your inbox:
  Poor search functionality
IGTV is clearly a tough nut to crack for creators, but the app is also lacking from a usability standpoint.
The biggest complaint? IGTV’s search functionality.
Videos on IGTV are shown to users based on their interests, followed accounts, and most popular videos. Systrom likened the experience of opening IGTV to turning on the TV, which is one of the reasons that videos automatically start playing when you open the app.
But unlike turning on the TV, you’re not able to search for shows on IGTV, only channels.
There is a search bar, but it will only show you results for profiles, not videos, and there’s no option to search for content based on genre, topic, or even title!
This makes content discovery next to impossible. If you want to search for a beachy waves hair tutorial, you’ll have to look for hair channels, and then scroll their videos until you (hopefully) find something.
Tumblr media
The same is true for playlists on IGTV. At the moment, there isn’t a way to compile all the episodes of a series in a single playlist. As a viewer, this makes finding the content you want to watch unnecessarily difficult.
Let’s say that you want to watch a specific series on IGTV, like @lelepons‘ “What’s Cooking with Lele.” If the creator of that series has shared dozens of other videos on IGTV, finding the videos from that series could be a real headache.
Tumblr media
“Episodic content” is already becoming a big trend on Instagram Stories, like @bustle’s “Beauty Call” or @infatuation’s “Restaurant Review Ride-Alongs”.
Adding the ability to create playlists would be useful for IGTV series that carry a narrative from one episode to the next, and they would also make older videos more discoverable.
Disconnect from the Instagram app
One of the biggest reasons for IGTV’s initial low viewership was its disconnection from the Instagram app, which made it difficult for brands and creators to convince their followers to leave the Instagram feed experience in order to watch an IGTV video.
When it first launched, the only way to access IGTV from the Instagram app was by tapping on the small IGTV icon at the top of the home screen.
If you happened to miss that button (which is very easy to do) and avoided downloading the standalone IGTV app, you’d be none the wiser.
It was up to the brands and creators to try and inspire a behavior change from Instagram users, which proved to be too difficult a task.
It was simply too hard to try and force your followers to watch an IGTV video, and people just didn’t want to leave their feed.
Enter Instagram’s latest power move: showing IGTV previews in the regular Instagram feed.
Tumblr media
Just last week, Instagram introduced the option to share 1-minute previews of your IGTV videos to your Instagram feed and profile, and it’s already making a big impact on the channel’s viewership numbers.
For example, prior to the new sharing feature, Later’s IGTV channel received an average of 3k views per video. Our latest video (which we shared to our Instagram feed), has so far received nearly 14k views. That’s over a 300% increase!
  View this post on Instagram
Instagram recently announced that users will start to see 1 minute previews of IGTV videos in their main Instagram feed, which you can then continue watching over on IGTV. 📺 This may seem like a straight-forward update, but there’s actually a lot of little details changing that you need to pay attention to if you choose to share IGTV videos to the Instagram feed. From the size of your cover photo to the title of your video, here are 4 important things you need to know about sharing IGTV previews to the Instagram feed. 🙌 Read the full blog post: https://lat.gr/IGTVupdate
And it’s not just us. Since the new sharing feature was introduced, everyone seems to be finding a huge increase in engagement and views on their IGTV videos.
Take @thebucketlistfamily. They averaged around 30k views on their IGTV videos before the update. Their most recent IGTV? Almost 400k views.
Tumblr media
The same is true for @sephora. The cosmetics brand averaged around 60 to 80k views per video before the update. Now they’re getting over a million!
Tumblr media
Food and Wine averaged about 7k views on their IGTV videos before, and now with the new feature they are getting 225k+ on the videos that have been posted, compared to about 100k views on an Instagram feed post.

  Did someone say #TacoTuesday?
Sharing previews your IGTV videos to your feed and grid makes your content discoverable — something that was truly lacking in IGTV’s structure before the new feature launch.
It boosts the visibility of a video, it’s a better experience, and ultimately it’s easier for your followers to find your IGTV content. And it’s clearly already working to increase views for brands.
The Brands Succeeding on IGTV
Despite its growing pains, IGTV still holds a lot of potential for brands to engage with their followers through video on Instagram. There are thousands of people who use IGTV every day, and many brands are thriving by posting and creating content specifically for IGTV.
Some prominent video creators have continued to invest in IGTV and make it their priority for social video marketing — people like @johnmayer, Lilly Singh (@iisuperwomanii), and Jayden Bartels.
Tumblr media
For brands skeptical about IGTV, they only need to look at the businesses who are finding success on IGTV.
Take @thefader for example. The music and lifestyle publisher has shared nearly 60 videos to IGTV, often getting hundreds of thousands of views.
According to Juliana Pache, The FADER’s social media director, in order to get that kind of traction, their team works closely to plan effective rollouts, including optimizing their clips to make it easy for their audience to find the content.
“We encourage the artists we spotlight to share our videos on their social channels, where most of their fans live,” Pache says. “Having artists do this is the most reliable and effective way to get our content in front of audiences that care most.”

This episode’s questions include: 1. Perform at the Super Bowl halftime show vs. Score a touchdown at the Super Bowl 2. Wake up everyday to the #wakeyoassupchallenge vs. Crip walk everywhere 3. Perform on a tour of high schools vs. Have a high school make its mascot Blueface 4. Never be able to go to a strip club again vs. Move in to a strip club 5. Watch porn of your parents vs. Watch porn with your parents 6. Control time vs. Read people’s minds
Streetwear publisher @highsnobiety has also been a consistent IGTV user and has found ways to optimize their videos to grow their following on IGTV.
“While for YouTube it’s important to have an SEO hook for titling, IGTV is purely a social play,  so a captivating headline and thumbnail are really important,” says Brock Cardiner, director of content strategy at Highsnobiety. “Retention is also important and the audience on IGTV seem to prefer shorter video content, circa 2 to 5 minutes.”

Following Virgil Abloh’s second collection for Louis Vuitton, we spoke to Tim Blanks, Marcelo Burlon and Ruddy Trobrilliant to get their thoughts on the creative’s FW19 collection.
Overall, it’s safe to say that opportunities on IGTV do exist for brands and creators alike. But it takes time, consistency, and sharing to your Instagram feed.
IGTV: Only Time Will Tell
As far as Instagram is concerned, IGTV is here for the long haul. And as we’ve already seen from their new sharing feature, even small changes can have a big impact.
For a company with seemingly infinite resources, Instagram has been fairly quiet about IGTV ever since its launch. Perhaps they, like us, were waiting to see how it would take off and how brands and businesses adapted their content to suit IGTV’s needs. Maybe Instagram hoped that IGTV would grow organically and that IGTV would somehow become “cool” on its own.
One thing is clear: the decision to share IGTV videos to the main Instagram feed has resulted in a massive increase in IGTV videos.
Instagram doesn’t tell you how many of those viewers have clicked to continue watching after the 1 minute in their feed, but it’s an encouraging update that has seemed to breathe new life into the video sharing platform.
Only time will tell if it will live up to its promise of changing the social video landscape forever.
Looking for an easy way to get started with video content on Instagram? With Later you can plan, schedule and automatically post your videos to your feed!

07/03/2020 update
Thanks for visiting the site, having a blast with the streaming so far. I recently shifted my gear about, I’ll leave a pic below.
I thought I would write about how I am currently going about the process for anyone interested in doing it themselves.
*this is purely on my own experiences, very DIY with zero budget*
The bulk of my views are probably not going to come from Twitch, my streaming times aren’t regular enough to maintain a following right now, though I love it when the odd person comes in for a chat!
I also realised early that the long form stream start to finish is probably not the most interesting when there’s no live interaction, so I needed edited down versions for my other platforms.
So this is my current, most efficient way to get my stuff out on the socials:
1: Stream from twitch on my phone.
2: Download stream on my pc and upload it in full to YouTube. (The link to which I tweet)
3: Screen record highlights of the YouTube version on my phone
4: Trim and edit the highlights on iMovie
5:: Upload edit to IGTV, which will appear on both my Instagram and Facebook page
6: upload a separate highlight uploaded directly to twitter so it plays in the tweet (tweeting IGTV only shows a link)
So yeah that’s about it so far! It’s seems to be the best way for little ol’ me to touch base on all the platforms quickest.
In other news I bought the domain makeatune.co.uk for a year (£’s 😅) so I really appreciate you visiting, here is where you’ll find an email if you want to get in touch about making a tune or asking any questions, or letting me know if you’ve started making a tune too!
