albedo was always aware of the likelihood of his arrival in mondstadt spelling impending doom. he, however, had never expected that doom would come in the form of you instead. one too many research trips with his beloved to dragonspine led to you becoming corrupted by durin, but albedo swore he was always able to calm down your brief outbursts and would be able to cure you soon. every waking moment spent in his lab or by your side, keeping your condition a secret lest the others try to take you from him. but one day he realizes it's too late, as he sees you with the festering desire in hand, purple veins covering your body with sinister, glowing eyes to match. albedo feels his heart up in his throat as he comes to the realization that it is not him who must be killed for the safety of the land of the winds... but the one and only he'd sworn to protect with his very life. how ironic, he thinks now, in hindsight. how cruel are the gods to give him the capability of mass destruction, only to have destroyed himself instead. how he wishes he'd never let you tag along to dragonspine, maybe then the cold nights would be warmer in your presence.
