He knows how receptive Lucy would be given probably not that much of a push.

And yet Kate, who from the beginning of the convo is CLEARLY eager to get back with Lucy, has not been able to do that! She’s a romantic incompetent! Why would you ONLY give options you didn’t want her to take literally?? 

But yes, of course, there will be more to the ep. Someone being unamused at a serenade isn’t really season finale ending material. :P

Have y'all seen the fourth sneak peek? On CBS's website and youtube? That pretty solidly answers why, at least. Now I blame FULLY blame Ernie, what else was she gonna do?? So having more context already makes it better.

And lol, well, I mean, it's not death, but y'all already don't know how much I skip through awkward scenes and then slowly creep backwards. Now I know which part to skip outright but tbh, I wish they'd saved both sneak peeks for Monday. I know some people are relieved because we're getting a chance to get our initial reaction out now and prepare, but if we'd watched it live, we'd have seen it and immediately moved on to whatever goes after, which I'm assuming will make it all worth it.

Haha, the funny thing is, I don't even know which sneak peek you're referring to as first and second, you could apply both of those descriptions to each.

As much as I am blaming him for not being clearer with Kate, I do have to agree that Kacy would not have progressed this quickly without him. They'd have gotten there eventually, no doubt, but just not this fast, with him nudging them both.

stop reading if you haven't seen the sneak peak for ncis: hawai'i's finale... but oh god. i couldn't finish it. do i hate it? no. do i think the woman who wanted to go to a rock 'n' roll and bowling would love it? probably yes. can i watch the full clip without pausing several times from pure cringe? no.

I sure hope so! I've not watched it yet so I can't judge her expression during it but from what I hear, she seems a bit...unamused? I can understand her being like, how did you think this was the right move considering where we are (both in terms of location and their current personal situation) but I 100% expect there'll be some softening as they talk after so I hope she acknowledges the effort it required of Kate.

Also, I'm still thinking about the other ask that jokingly said the team'd bully Kate for this forever and at the time I'd been like, Ernie's the one who deserves it, but upon reading this ask I was like, I bet Lucy would defend her aggressively, but you know, it's such a nice team I can't even imagine any of them saying anything. I can't imagine Jane or Kai doing more than smiling and Ernie BETTER not say anything, given his culpability. Jesse...now that's one to watch out for, lol, but tbh, I feel Kate'll just be too happy to feel anything more than "yeah, but I still got the girl."

After seeing the Kacy video, lol. Desperate times and desperate measures right? Still lmao. But you know, idk if a public grand gesture is better or worse than a quiet, intimate scene where they characters are talking softly but so zoomed in on each other that the tenderness and fondness is palpable, yet there are still other people in the room watching and then even you, the audience feels like a weird onlooker even though your presence is the point lol. I can’t think of a wlw example for the second one but I watched Eternals last night and the ‘did you miss me’ moment between Druig and Makkari made me feel like the biggest intruder in the world like my roomie and I went aw at the same time but also felt so nosey lol

Oh, I haven't watched Eternals, but I know what you mean, but I think for me, the difficulty in watching comes much more from the secondhand embarrassment of, I suppose, imagining being in that situation in real life, where you're doing something in front of everyone that they may laugh at. Those super close intimate scenes, I don't think I've ever felt like, oh, we're watching something too real to be seen...
