X-Marks the Pedwalk: “Meshwork M.1″ (Meshwork, Zoth Ommog 1995)
X Marks the Pedwalk’s Meshwork is an album I curiously find myself returning to fairly often. Their earliest stuff was very much in the vein of typical Euro EBM of its time, dance music with distorted vocals and an industrial edge, but Meshwork found the duo of Sevren Ni-Arb and Raive Yarx turning down the distortion and turning their ears instead toward mid 90′s trance and the budding futurepop sound to inform their music.

A-Head: "Deep Down (Fiable et Durable)" (Zoth Ommog 1991)
An obscure one from the early 90s that I've always enjoyed, a one-off side project of André Schmechta a.k.a. Sevren Ni-Arb of X Marks the Pedwalk. It's hard to resist that swollen, relentless bassline.

Orange Sector: "Kalt Wie Stahl (WWB)" (Zoth Ommog)
Since we're entering October and approaching Halloween, I thought I'd start an extra post a day throwing back to the "darker" (debatably) goth/industrial stuff that I listened to in my teen years. I remember taping a radio show every week that played this stuff, going through them, and curating my favorites into mixtapes. Every one of the videos I'll post in this daily routine will be a track from those old tapes, many of which I still have.
I never knew or cared much about Orange Sector, but I liked this remix by Sevren Ni-Arb, of whose music as X Marks the Pedwalk I was a fan.
