AEW/ROH - Predicting the Next Champions
Okay so Collision is in the books and I totally didn't forget to do one of these after Jade dropped the title at DoN XD
Including ROH but unlike my past ones just gonna make it more brief, also no FTW title because it's not official, just a small bit of fun too. Also just to not go too into fan booking I'm only using people currently hired by AEW, so no Kota Ibushi.
Spoilers for AEW Collision's debut just in case (18th June 23)
AEW World Championship (MJF) Next Champion: Eddie Kingston Alternatives: Adam Cole, Darby Allin, CM Punk Reason: He is the perfect people's champion AEW needs, I don't expect him to do it first time but he's the antithesis of MJF's young prodigy character.
ROH World Championship (Claudio Castagnoli) Next Champion: Mark Briscoe Alternatives: Eddie Kingston, Bandido, Hangman Page Reason: I know people have him set on the TV title but I feel like this is the better destination.
AEW Women's World Championship (Toni Storm) Next Champion: Jamie Hayter Alternatives: Hikaru Shida, Willow Nightingale, Thunder Rosa Reason: Because she only lost it to injury, and AEW would be foolish not to put it back on her during or in time for Wembley.
ROH Women's World Championship (Athena) Next Champion: Mercedes Martinez Alternatives: Red Velvet, Leyla Hirsch, Willow Nightingale Reason: You need someone who can match her aggression as well as her technique, but you also want to pass over that honour to someone who can use it as a launch pad. Honestly this was the toughest one to figure out because of how great Athena's been, so I went back to her more storied opponent.
TNT Championship (Luchasaurus) Next Champion: Ricky Starks Alternatives: Keith Lee, Roderick Strong, Ethan Page (face) Reason: One is hoping that Christian and Dino hold for a long time through shenaniganry to keep the heat, which is why you'd need a babyface to finally wipe the smug grin off of Cage's face, Ricky needs gold too so he's the best for the job.
ROH Television Championship (Samoa Joe) Next Champion: Dalton Castle Alternatives: AR Fox, Shane Taylor, Bandido Reason: It's no easy feat to defeat Joe, so I went with the man who oozes enough charisma (and can throw a Boy or two at him) to carry on the entertainment value.
TBS Championship (Kris Statlander) Next Champion: Serena Deeb (BCC) Alternatives: Emi Sakura, Ruby Soho, Athena Reason: Whoever takes the title off of Kris will have to be able to handle the heat they'll get because of how beloved she is, this is why you'd need a physical kind of heel who can carry that level, plus Deeb is overdue her plaudits and I want her in the BCC.
AEW International Championship (Orange Cassidy) Next Champion: Miro Alternatives: Konosuke Takeshita, Jay White, Kip Sabian Reason: Whoever takes it off of OC needs to either be brutally dominant or a sly opportunist, I picked the former since we all want to Belt the Redeemer, Champion of All Nations, plus the man really needs to see his hot flexible wife.
ROH PURE Championship (Katsuyori Shibata) Next Champion: Bryan Danielson Alternatives: Daniel Garcia (BCC) Reason: It's a dream match and you need a person of pedigree or endorsement to beat Shibata's legend status, since Pure rules prevents heel shenaniganry. I don't have much other options since Moriarty has already been beaten but if Garcia were to beat Shibata it'd have to be under Bryan's wing, not Jericho's.
AEW World Tag Championship (FTR) Next Champion: Aussie Open Alternatives: 2point0, The Hardys, Bullet Club Gold Reason: It feels like this was the intent before Davis' injury and if they waited months for Statlander they'll wait for Dunkzilla. 2point0 is an option only because I want them to get a taste of da titles! Plus I want them used more.
ROH World Tag Championship (Lucha Bros) Next Champion: The Butcher & The Blade Alternatives: The Kingdom, Iron Savages, BCC Reason: The duo are due a title run, and with shared history of 'Eddie's friends' ROH is a good place for them to finally string some dominant wins together.
AEW Trios Championship (House of Black) Next Champion: Blackpool Combat Club Alternatives: Death Triangle, Best Friends, CMFTR Reason: They are the most dominant trio for a reason and I think they're the only trio who can match the House for their aggression and brutality.
ROH Six-Man Tag Championship (Mogul Embassy) Next Champion: The Righteous Alternatives: Dark Order, Iron Savages (& Jacked Jameson), Mack Attack (plus one other ally) Reason: There's not a lot of trios in ROH outside of whoever AR Fox or Blake Christian is teaming with, but I went with the Righteous mainly since they have stolen Stu from the Dark Order, and thus need to profit from it.

im a day late and I haven't done one of these in a while but it was shida’s birthday yesterday so without further ado, here is the interaction hc post about coach shida and mothman misato
he finds out through kurikoma’s blog
seeing as they’re family and they’ve known each other forever, I personally believe that he would have access to it
kurikoma wouldn’t explicitly tell him, I think he would just notice that she was more avidly into it whenever she wasn’t doing gymnastics stuff in her iPad because he notices these things (I swear he knows everything)
he gets curious about what so raptly has her attention and goes to check the blog
only to find an endless amount of pictures of his student staring at various lamps around the dorm and dressed as a moth
he is completely confused by it and confused by kurikoma’s claim that he’s mothman
instead of trying to figure it out himself he does the logical and functional thing and just confronts the whole team about it
“why are you guys dressing up misato as mothman and putting him online?”
them all trying to contain their laughter because oh my god
misato having to awkwardly explain that its not a costume but that he is in fact mothman
shida doesn't believe them
misato goes to transform to prove it but the boys stop him
“if you want proof he’s mothman then give us proof your wife exists”
he is understandably surprised but happily invites her to the next competition for them to meet her
they are all stunned that she’s real
after the competition, they find a quiet place and misato transforms for them
shida and his wife were not prepared for him to actually be mothman
the team find this exceedingly hilarious because shida usually seems to know everything
after misato assures him that being mothman does not affect or enhance his abilities in gymnastics, shida just kinda shrugs and is like
after everything else ive encountered this may as well happen
happy birthday shida my beloved

Double or Nothing preview
Been a while, hasn’t it?
Jon Moxley vs. Brodie Lee - This will be Moxley’s second defense of the AEW men’s world championship since winning the title on February 29.  Impressively, Mox is already the longest-reigning champion in AEW history, holding the title for an incredible 823 days over the past three months.
The story is fairly basic: on May 6 Lee sent his stable, the Dark Order, to dogpile Moxley before he demanded this match and walked off with the title belt.  Lee has lots of backup, but Mox is too stubborn to back down.
Brodie Lee was formerly known as Luke Harper in WWE, where he was usually a member of Bray Wyatt’s cult, the Wyatt Family.  After a 2018 biceps injury, he was used very sparingly, and requested his release in April 2019.  WWE used him even more sparingly, but finally let him go in December.  In January the Dark Order began teasing an unseen leader known as “the Exalted One,” who was finally revealed to be Lee once his WWE no-compete clause expired in March.
Lee played a cult member for almost all of his WWE run, but it seems like his  strongest impression of how cult leaders act was not Bray Wyatt but WWE chairman Vince McMahon.  Everyone at AEW seems to deny a direct parody--and for all I know it really isn’t intentional--but it’s not subtle how his on-screen behavior resembles accounts of Vince’s off-screen idiosyncrasies.  Which adds an extra wrinkle to the story, given Moxley’s very public, very blistering criticism of McMahon when he left WWE last year.
AEW has claimed this show’s card is mostly what was planned before the pandemic forced them to move from Las Vegas to a closed set in Jacksonville.  Even so, I feel like this would have been a very week title match on any of AEW’s previous pay-per-views, and it’s hard to believe they were really going to headline with this in the MGM Grand.  My gut says that under normal circumstances this match would be given away on free TV.  But these aren’t normal circumstances, so I guess you might as well do this now and save a bigger match for when fans are back.
I think there is zero chance of Lee actually winning the title, so the only question is how much Moxley will have to do to retain.
Chris Jericho & Jake Hager & Sammy Guevara & Ortiz & Santana vs. Kenny Omega & Hangman Page & Matt Hardy & Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson - This is being billed as a “stadium stampede” match.  A ring will be set up in the middle of TIAA Bank Field, the home stadium of the Jacksonville Jaguars.  I’m guessing the match will start in the ring, but the rules allow the wrestlers to fight anywhere in the stadium, so I’m not sure why it matters.  The match cannot end by count-out or disqualification, and falls count anywhere.
This feud started in October when Jericho recruited Hager, Guevara, Ortiz, and Santana to form The Inner Circle, to help him oppose The Elite (Omega, the Young Bucks, Page, and Cody Rhodes).  The two teams were set for a ten-man “war games” style cage match on March 25, but to give Nick Jackson paternity leave he was “injured” and Matt Hardy was announced as his replacement.  The match was scrapped altogether in light of the coronavirus pandemic.  On May 13, Jericho proposed issued a challenge to the Elite for this match.  Since Cody is already booked on the card, Hardy is subbing for him this time instead of Nick.
Most of the people in this match have wrestled very sparingly since AEW started running closed-set shows on March 18, although the Inner Circle has been back at full strength since May 6.  Part of the intrigue is that Page and the Bucks were off AEW television in over two months, so Jericho is suggesting that the Elite barely exists anymore.  Ring rust will almost surely be a factor, as Matt Jackson hurt his ribs doing a spot in his big return on May 20.  So even though this match features some of the best talent in the world, I could easily see it getting “bowling shoe ugly” very quickly.
It’s almost lost in the shuffle that this is Hardy’s first real big match since jumping from WWE to AEW and reviving his “Broken Matt Hardy” gimmick from Impact Wrestling.  Hardy was originally in this to support his friends, but it became personal when Jericho “killed” his beloved quadcopter drone, Vanguard 1.  It’s pretty clear AEW wants to build to a high-profile Hardy-Jericho match, but the coronavirus situation has probably screwed up their idea of when that can happen.
I’d like to see the Elite finally settle the score with the Inner Circle, but I can’t help but think this feud must continue, and putting the heels over is the easiest way to do that.  However, I suppose the babyfaces could pin someone other than Jericho or Hager without really resolving the feud.
Cody Rhodes vs. Lance Archer - This is a tournament final to determine the first person to hold the new AEW TNT championship.  Cody defeated Shawn Spears and Darby Allin to advance to this match.  Archer defeated Colt Cabana and Dustin Rhodes.  Mike Tyson will present the title belt to the winner for some reason.
TNT is the name of the channel that airs Dynamite in the US, so this is basically a modern take on the old television titles.  In the days before pay-per-view specials, wrestling TV shows were designed to build to big matches at untelevised events, with the idea that you had to pay for a ticket to see the real big shows.  In that business model, televised title bouts were somewhat rare, so a television championship would stand out for being regularly defended on TV.  There’s a lot of nostalgia for the concept, but nobody’s really come up with a good way to make it work in the modern era.  (Hell, I barely understood the point of the WCW TV title 30 years ago.)  I know AEW management feels strongly about avoiding the stigma of a “midcard title,” so I’m curious to see what they come up with here.
Archer has been built up very well as the biggest and most monstrous of the big monster heels.  He really needs to win his first big PPV match in the company to maintain his momentum.  But at the same time, Archer’s manager Jake Roberts has been a huge dirtbag to Cody’s wife Brandi, so that really needs to be avenged.  It’s really impressive how AEW can build these matches up with really simple things that defy one’s “this guy has to win” logic, which makes the match more exciting.  My money’s on Archer, but I have to root for Cody.
Nyla Rose vs. Hikaru Shida - Rose is making her second defense of the AEW women’s world championship.  Shida earned this title shot by winning a four-way match on May 13.
This match feels a little cold to me, probably because both women were absent from TV for about a month.  AEW’s women’s division has always struggled to be relevant but it’s been hit particularly hard by the pandemic.  Between travel bans and wrestlers electing to stay home, a huge chunk of the roster has been unavailable.  Nevertheless, Rose still comes across as a big dominant juggernaut, and Shida still feels like the babyface they’ve been saving for a special occasion, so it’s like everything worked out in the end.
Shida makes sense as the next women’s champion, but it feels too early.  Even though Nyla has held the title since February, her absence in April makes it feel like she hasn’t had enough time to really make it her own.  I have to pick Rose to retain.
Casino Ladder Match - This is a nine-man match, where the winner will earn the right to challenge the AEW men’s world champion.  Like any ladder match, an objective (a casino chip in this case) will be suspended above the ring, and ladders will be provided for the participants to use and climb; the first man to retrieve the objective wins the match.  However, participants will enter the match gauntlet style, with two men starting and an additional man entering every 90 seconds.  In theory, the match could end before everyone has entered, but I doubt it’ll come to that.
The plan a year ago was to make the “casino battle royale” an annual tradition at Double or Nothing, but I’m guessing that wasn’t feasible this year.  Social distancing guidelines and battle royales (battles royale?) don’t go well together.  Then again, neither do nine-person ladder matches, although it’s possible the gauntlet stip will help limit the action to two or three people in the ring at any given time.
Eight participants have been announced: Orange Cassidy, Colt Cabana, Darby Allin, Scorpio Sky, Frankie Kazarian, Kip Sabian, Luchasaurus, and (as a late substitution for Rey Fenix) Joey Janela.  It looks like the ninth entrant won’t be revealed before the show, which is actually kind of exciting considering how many hot free agents are available at the moment.  I’m not saying it will be one of the people WWE recently released, but it makes at least as much sense as using Billy Gunn or something.
I don’t have a strong sense of who should win, because the winner is probably just going to lose to Jon Moxley on a free TV match.  I guess the question is, who would be the best opponent for Moxley in that situation?  I’m leaning towards Darby Allin, but not much.  If the mystery entrant is any good, though, that could change everything.
MJF vs. Jungle Boy - There’s not much of a story here.  MJF was riding high after a big win over Cody Rhodes on February 29, but then he was out for about a month, presumably due to the pandemic.  He claimed he was sidelined by a devastating hangnail, but I don’t know if I buy that.  Upon his return, he was told he’d be facing Jungle Boy here, and he wasn’t happy.  Since then, they’ve been kinda teasing Jungle Boy’s buddy Luchasaurus against MJF’s henchman Wardlow, so we’ll probably get more teases for that.
Listen, I’m not saying Jungle Boy is going to target the pinkie finger that had the hangnail.  I’m definitely not saying Jungle Boy is going to bite MJF’s finger, or that MJF will sell it like he’s been shot.  I’m just saying that would be a really good idea that would be worth the full price of the pay-per-view.
But I have a feeling MJF will win anyhow.
Kris Statlander vs. Penelope Ford - This was originally going to be Statlander against Britt Baker, but Baker suffered a knee injury on May 20.  I’m becoming a big Baker fan (I mean, boo, she’s mean, but y’know), so it sucks that she’s sidelined.  But it’s kinda cool that Ford gets to step up here.  She seems talented, but she hasn’t been pushed too hard except as Kip Sabian’s girl.  Then again, I like Statlander’s alien hijinx too.  Can I just bet that all the wrestlers will have a good time?
Shawn Spears vs. Dustin Rhodes - The entire heel gimmick for Spears is that he hates Cody Rhodes, which isn’t so great since he only fights Cody once every few months.  Anyway, he got eliminated in the TNT title tournament by Cody, and since then he’s been giving Dustin shit.  When Dustin was eliminated from the tournament in a bloody match with Lance Archer, Cody teased throwing in the towel but didn’t.  So Spears is trying to make big deal about Cody not rescuing Dustin, and Dustin being a washed-up has-been.  I’m pretty sure Dustin is just going to beat his ass and that’ll be it.
Chuckie T & Trent Beretta vs. Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen - This is scheduled for the pre-show.  The winning team will earn a shot at the AEW tag team championship.  So I guess that means Kenny Omega and Hangman Page have to do the title match soon, which suggests Page can’t immediately go back to hiding in the woods.  Maybe?  I mean, good for Hangman staying at home.  I’m just saying I don’t have a clue what’s going on in the tag team division.  Anyway, Kassidy and Quen are cool and they’ll be big someday, but it’s pretty clear that AEW thinks “someday” is ways off.  The Best Friends are the clear favorite to win, although an upset isn’t totally impossible.

Dragon Ball Super: Episode 7 Review
Welp, here we are at episode 7. The moment where the fun slice of life fluff stops, and things start to get more serious (In theory. Whis seems determined to keep things from getting too serious).
Following immediately on from the last episode, the episode starts with Vegeta making a desperate attempt to reason with Beerus following his little scuffle with Majin Buu. Unfortunately, Beerus isn't having it and decides he might as well blow up the earth, to which the various Z fighters make several attempts to stop him, all in vain as one by one earth's champions crumble under his awesome might.
And I just made the episode sound more epic than it is, didn't I?
Yeah, to be honest this is another fairly lightweight episode in terms of plot.
Which probably comes from the fact that it's basically extending what was hardly five minutes of the movie. Not that it's bad, but honestly it's not particularly great either, it's mostly just showing off more of Beerus's strength and building up tension for Goku's inevitable arrival and the main confrontation down the line. In terms of the story content, there's not a ton to specifically comment on, but it's mostly alright.
Characterisations are largely on point, and the episode mostly flows okay though drags a little in the middle. The moments with Whis enjoying some of the Chef's dishes in particular feel like they try a bit too hard to ease the tension and just make things feel slightly tonally inconsistent for example, though it's not too overdone.
There's some entertaining moments and a few good tidbits of characterisation. Yamcha chiming in and promising to protect Marron so that Krillin could get involved in the action was a nice little detail, and Beerus continues to be suitably intimidating. And I like how Buu just keeps getting back up and trying to fight Beerus several times throughout the episode despite how much Beerus slaps him around. Just wish this wasn't the characters biggest contribution until probably the last arc... sigh. More on that another day.
In general it's mostly just fine. There's nothing especially bad, not a lot that's great, it's mostly just competent despite a few issues. But there are a few of them that I feel are the things most worth talking about.
For starters, while for the most part I think the writing was mostly competent and did the best it could with such little content to adapt, there's a few moments that do feel needlessly dragged out. I already brought up the moments with Whis, but the bit with Gotenks trying to fight Beerus, while it is short, compared to the movie it feels less funny and effective. In the movie when Gotenks got all cocky and challenged Beerus, he just quickly got grabbed from behind and spanked by the guy, being beaten in seconds.
That was funny and, as someone who's in the camp that finds Gotenks kind of annoying, it was pretty cathartic I won't lie. In this episode though, after his bragging we instead get a few seconds of looped punches before Beerus grabs hold of Gotenks' finger, we get a bit of an argument and Beerus instead slaps his arm until it starts bulging red. It's... less amusing, honestly, and the shouting gets a little more annoying than amusing (Though Beerus's shifting expressions as he's speculating on how Pudding might taste are priceless).
Thankfully most of the other characters involvement in the scuffle with Beerus made the transition more smoothly, more limited animation aside. For example, while I miss the more creative and better animated ways Beerus struck out Piccolo, Android 18 and Tien in the movie, I do like how he basically ends up just pushing them back and knocking the wind out of them all just by releasing a small portion of his Ki. In a way that and his effortlessly dodging their rapid fire attacks is even more effective at selling just how much of a threat Beerus is.
Which shows that corner cutting needn't always be a bad thing, I guess.
On that note though, the production values are a mixed bag. Natoshi Shida's storyboarding to start off with is pretty fantastic and he does a decent job framing much of the episode, though the actual animation involved is mediocre and limited at best. A few moments do look a little awkward too, Beerus smacking Gohan with Buu's unconscious body for example lacks any real impact.
To be fair though, this is only two episodes apart from episode 5, and while there is action here it's not a particularly important episode either, being mostly just more set up. So I feel it's kind of excusable that the episodes visuals are largely unremarkable. At the very least it doesn't look as blatantly unfinished and awkward as episode 5 did.
The episodes direction apart from the storyboards felt lacking though. The music placement in particular was hit or miss. I think the track that played over the opening of the episode served the tension the scene required alright for example, but there wasn't a lot to comment on other than how it's kind of ironic that a theme titled "Omen of Victory" played over the part where Goten and Trunks fuse into Gotenks, and almost immediately he starts losing to Beerus.
Really, the most notable scene worth talking about comes at the very end. You know the one, it's probably one of the most remembered and talked about scenes from the movie, specifically among Vegebul shippers. The famous "My Bulma" moment adapted into Super, as Bulma angrily confronts Beerus for ruining her party, only to have the petty God slap her away. The sight of seeing his beloved wife assaulted strikes a nerve within the saiyan prince, as in his rage Vegeta draws out every last ounce of power he has and prepares to strike back at Lord Beerus...
... And dear LORD, was it hilarious in the subs.
Seriously, this scene is actually a contender for funniest moment in the last few episodes due to just how over the top it was, especially compared to the film. In the Battle of Gods movie, Beerus slapping her happened very fast, and Vegeta's rage burst and him attacking Beerus only took a few seconds. But here?
Everything from Bulma trotting over to slap Beerus in the face and chew him out, to Vegeta powering up and threatening the villain is dragged out to somewhere between one and two minutes, complete with a drawn out moment where Beerus pulls back his arm and Vegeta begs Beerus not to do it, and a goofily over-animated freak out by Vegeta in response. To be fair it is decent animation, but in conjunction with everything else it just looks really silly.
Like, it's the opposite of the flashback from the previous episode with Beerus and King Vegeta. Whereas extending that out a little actually helped better flesh out Vegeta's reactions to Beerus in the present, the "My Bulma" moment getting similar treatment just makes it feel less effective compared to the movie and looking like the writers were trying too hard to give the fangirls more of what they wanted.
There is an upside, though. Because once again it's Funimation to the rescue, as Chris Sabat's performance as Vegeta during the scene... actually kind of salvages it. Seriously, the desperation and raw emotion in his voice as he's begging Beerus not to hurt Bulma actually does help add a bit of tension to the build up to the slap, and makes that moment feel a lot more effective. Vegeta's overblown reaction is still a bit silly, but honestly I think the scene in the dub does a much better job of selling what I think the writer and animators were originally going for.
It's still not as well handled as in the movie of course, but I can almost take it seriously now. And hey, if you're someone that's really into protective hubby Vegeta, then the scene is pretty likely to make you smile regardless. Even if part of that is over how over the top it was.
And, um... yeah. I suppose that's pretty much it. I dunno, the problem with a lot of this arc is that in many episodes, the actual story content doesn't offer a lot to talk about. Individual episodes are often pretty bare bones, looking forward there's a lot more episodes next saga and in the later ones especially that have a lot more content and characterisation that's worth discussing in detail. But in these early episodes, a lot of the time I just feel like I'm going to be saying "This is functionally okay, but not as good as how the movie did it... except for this part, which is done better for X reasons"
That's not to say there's nothing here to enjoy, actually watching the episode it flows pretty fine and can be mildly entertaining, but at this point and for the next few episodes really it's just going to be feeling like a more dragged out version of the movie's events, and a bit less entertaining as a result. There's good stuff coming up don't get me wrong, but I have a hard time talking about a lot of it. I'm honestly kind of looking forward to when the slice of life episodes start up again for that reason.
So, on that note then, this was a serviceable though mediocre episode that accomplishes what it needs to, but doesn't have a lot of lasting value on it's own, just as a functioning part of the larger story.
C- at best.
A bit of a half-hearted review and I’m sorry, but then again the episode isn’t really trying any harder than I am

任侠映画のBGM (Yakuza Movie BGM): Watari would listen to this. Sounds like how you'd expect: action move background music.
奥さん・・・? (His Wife...?): I was going to say this sounds like friendship until I read the translation and uh. I'm still correct but this is Shida's theme now. Sounds like a summer day at the beach.
理想のバク転 (Ideal Backflip): More like ideal song, am I right?!?! The vibes are fantastic in this one. This is definitely a reoccurring theme by the way. Ohoho the vibes.
Disc 2
俺たちの夢 (Our Dream): So peaceful :) I want to dream with them.
ましろ(Mashiro): Oh look another Mashiro theme! It's bouncy and light with a funky undertone and slight intensity, just like him.
因縁のライバル (Destined Rivals): This one is so fun!! Moo Moo Meadows vibes in here. The melody is awesome! Bouncy foot.
みんなの鼓動 (Our Pulse): It definitely has a pulsing rhythym. Sort of a purple blue grey sound with light white speckles in the beginning. I really like it when it picks up!
比べてみれば (If You Compare): THE GUITAR!!!! FJKSJFKDSJ and then the violins coming in AND THE CELLO PICKING UP THE MELODY!! This one SLAPS!
エースになろう(To Become the Ace): Very echoey. Very solemn, too. This is definitely Onagawa's sad song, when he didn't know what he contributed if he wasn't the ace. This song makes me sad. Good for you, Yuki Hayashi. Intended effect achieved.
真夜中の教室 (Classroom at Midnight): THIS IS THE HIDE AND SEEK SONG. I AM SCARED. The piano crescendo is NOT helping. Neither are the violins.
かくれんぼ (Hide-and-Seek): Very amelodic and arhythmic. Sort of a jumble of sounds with a faint hint of togetherness? Definitely good when it was used to create a mood. Tempo increase hightens stress a lot.
二人きり(Just the Two of Us): Similar vibes to the one before, but more coherent. Definitely a 'calm' before the storm song.
いずこも同じ (Izuko's the Same): WHO IS IZUKO?? I like their theme though.
学校の怪談 (School's Ghost Stories): I'm scared ._.
失敗の連続 (A Series of Failures): Similar to エースになろうin terms of mood, this one has more energy and regret in it, though.
必勝祈願 (Praying for Victory): So peaceful in the beginning oh wow. Very soft. Sounds like air and soft light blue.
翔太郎の気持ち(Shotarou's Feelings): My beloved boy apparently has some very sad feelings. Very anxious, too. Please let out your feelings, my boy.
志田の過去 (Shida's Past): This is a pretty good sound for his story! It sounds like a follow up to an intense song but now is remorseful and sad.
再起 (Comeback): Ayyy the energy is back!! This is the Bakuten!! fun vibe I know :). It's really starting to come back. The electric guitar in the background I lose my MIND!! :)
自分で作る(Create by Yourself): This one!! I like it!! Soft but still energy! It's not the intense energy, the softer buildup energy. Blue and yellow.
過去のトラウマ (Trauma from the Past): Misato... it's Misato's fear. I think, at least. It sounds so empty and scared.
悪夢 (Nightmare): You all know what this one's from. It's just as bad to listen to as to watch. My boy Futaba!!! Please be ok!!! I might be crazy, but I think there's a little bit of Sparkle in here, too?
インターハイ出場 (Getting to the Inter-High): Oh this one is nice! It's uplifting! A ray of hope for tomorrow's episode.
約束の時 (When We Promised): FJfjkadjfkasdjf this one is sort of making my cry. I know this will be an emotional scene.
夕焼け (Evening Glow): This one is hopeful!! But also sort of sad? I'm a little scared for episode 12!
夜風に吹かれて (In the Evening Wind): It does sound like the evening wind :) Anyways I'm scared for this show to end I don't know if it will be a happy ending or not.
So general takeaways: this is a fantastic ost, I will be listening to it non stop for a while, the whole album sounds very blue with varying shades of grey and white, I wholeheartedly vibe to some of these, I am scared for episode 12.
