These two are 90% of the drama on the show and I'm okay with that despite my love of them and my need for Lukmo to be held, comforted and loved as soon as possible.

Seriously. Their plot is... gonna be wild. I love them so much, though. Simai is a pushy puppy and Lukmo is literally the ultimate tsundere about love. And right as Simai pushes his way through those barriers, right as he starts to convince Lukmo the value of love... well, things get fucked.

And that's why next week's episode is going to break my heart into pieces.

Simai's love is overflowing and Lukmo's empty cup is slowly being filled just from being next to him.

Ugh. They're both going to hurt so much next episode. And, no, I don't care about the drama that just happened. I know they'll end up together. Lukmo will get to be happy and loved and held while he cried.

Simai's pain at his abandonment and Lukmo's pain at his choice... This show is taking a strange path where ever it may be going but at least they're both very good at being in pain.

It's a tsundere meets puppy only the puppy takes care of the tsundere as much as the tsundere takes care of the puppy and I love them so, so much. Simai is tiny and eager and adorable and Lukmo is obviously starting to fall for that charm as much he doesn't want to fall for anything.

And this is why gentleness works.

Look at how softly Lukmo turns Simai's head. Look how he moves his hand away each time. Look how he waits between each motion, waits for Simai to say something or move away. Look at his patient.

I still don't love forced eye contact.

But his patience and gentleness take this from painful to watch to a form of affection, to a way of showing his love through his wait and his touch. There's so much less force here than in the other scene, so much softness.

And the end makes all the difference as well. Simai listens and Simai hears and the scene ends with the hug, the embrace, the return of love and forgiveness and communication.

This is the difference between gentle and forced, true affection and obsession, bending yourself to the one you love and bending the one you love to who you want them to be.

TST State of the Couples

CopyNampu: Started adorable and now is in a very sad little breakdown with Copy trying to come out of the closet for Nampu's sake but struggling with the realities of his own fears. Still very soft, honestly, and still very sweet. I love his dad so much.

SueaPlawaan: Not appearing in this episode

PhobNamo: ADORABLE. Valentine's day date! So sweet. Walks right past MaiEak getting ditched to grab their table. Huge fans. Love them.

BothNewyear: Not appearing in this episode BUT preview for next week says jealousy and proposal which is gonna be very interesting, tbh. Still dreading their drama.

LukmoSimai: Who put Lukmo in charge of this romantic relationship? We know he's in love with Simai. We know Simai loves him. And now Simai is about to leave the country without a word and Lukmo is going to hate himself if he loses this chance. He thinks he has all the time in the world to wait but he doesn't know how limited his time is.

Basically... Mostly darlings, Simai and Lukmo are idiots and I want MaiEak to end this show SAD AF. Also, super proud of Copy's dad for being another example of a very accepting and loving father! Now he just needs to come out to his friends and he can be sure to win Copy back!
