Bael attached a baby harness to you and fastened a leash around Beel's wrist so he wouldn't get lost (yes, he). These fears were in vain, because once you clung to him, you didn't want to let go. You went after closing time so you wouldn't get scared by crowds. Somehow, all the devices started working whenever you wanted to play with them. Roller coasters and scary houses are out of the question, but you rode on a unicorn carousel for half the night

Leviathan didn't seem to change at all, but as soon as Barbaos startled you with his enthusiasm, he hanged him higher than usual. No one has the right to touch you, preferably not even look at you. He doesn't have any toys he can to give you, but he will send his nobles to buy some. He will smile much more and speak much softer than usual. This guy is like a father for a whole country, he definitely has a soft spot for children.

Bael is the only one who will wonder what happened, how, why, and how to undo it. You won't give him much time to think when you hide behind him from the servants who start cooing at you. He will send them away and take you to the office. All the toys they have in the palace are for adults... but he has an idea. Have you ever made origami? It's the first time he'll spend a whole day in the office working on papers, and he'll be able to say he had very good time.

What do you think of Hylia? I’ve seen fans paint her as the true villain of Zelda series. Many of which blame her for the reincarnation cycle, and pretty much every bad thing that happened after SkSw’s era.

I have strong feelings about the fandom’s treatment of Hylia, but I’m gonna try to keep this chill.

Long story short, the hatred for Hylia doesn’t make logical sense.

It’s based on the erroneous assumption that Hylia caused the curse (fun fact, if people bothered playing the game they’d see that it was Demise who did it), or it’s based on botw Zelda’s struggles and frustrations because the story is told from her point of view. Oh no!! Hylia is evil because she didn’t listen as Zelda pleaded!! That’s not how prayer works, guys. You don’t get what you want, you get what you need, and Zelda’s major issue stemmed from her father, the pressure on her, her own insecurities, her lack of training and guidance. It’s a two way street to make things work - for all we know Hylia was trying to reach out to her but Zelda couldn’t hear her over the beratement from Rhoam screaming in her head or the whispers of the people echoing in her brain or her own questioning if she could even do it.

So basically, fandom’s Hylia bashing is based on poorly thought out arguments. Also they use characters who don’t even know who she is??? Like, Time, Legend… they have no freaking clue who Hylia is, guys. Her character didn’t even exist when their games were made. Maybe people are trying to make continuity or something, but Hylia was never mentioned in those eras.

Now! Did Hylia do questionable things? Yeah! Yeah, she did! But you know what else she did? She sacrificed herself multiple times to save her people, she fought her own war to protect everyone and the Triforce. She sent people to Skyloft to protect them while fighting alongside those who likely chose to remain. She died in her battle against Demise. She planned on coming back as a mortal, giving up everything she is, so she could finish the job and eliminate the threat. Yes, she used Link - she took a calculated risk, choosing someone with a pure heart who had the fighting prowess necessary if the need arose, and she befriended him. Yes! She used him! It’s messed up! But she also did everything she could to guide and protect him, and she tried to just do it herself without him if she could.

All that being said, sometimes Hylia bashing makes sense in the context of the narrative and the narrator. If your character/narrator has a beef with her for some reason, then yeah, they’re gonna criticize her. Doesn’t make them right about her. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But the idea of the fandom vilifying her is just… stupid.

Sometimes I don’t think it has to do with the stories at all, it’s people venting frustrations they’ve had with religious groups. I can’t fault them for that, but when I see that connection it kind of feels like a smack in the face and really freaking hurts, because God and Christianity aren’t people’s bad experiences, but I’m not opening that can of worms. I can’t control everyone’s experiences and nobody wants to hear me say that just because a person or group of people acted like hateful morons doesn’t mean that’s what Christianity is about. So anyway.

I like Hylia. Demise caused the curse. Hylia was trying to stop him before he even had a chance to utter a word. Demise’s curse led to bad things happening.

Times I thought someone was being platonically friendly towards me, but they were NOT:

1) A classmate, who I'd met after he listened to me info-dump about music mashups for an hour, told me that guys only gave girls (I wasn't out yet) their number if they like them. And then handed me a note with his number on it, which I never used because I thought I'd be bothering him. A year later he asked me out and I was so confused.

2) My sister's friend invited me over to use her computer with video software. She sat in my lap to show me how she had it set up and I held her waist. Two hours later she asked if I was comfortable and if I wanted to move to the couch for a while, to which I said no I was comfortable (like a fool). Few months later we dated and I still look back at that moment with horror at how I missed her meaning.

3) At an anime convention, met someone while waiting in line and we talked about what shows we thought were critically underrated or not talked about enough. The event got cancelled but the person told me they liked my conversation so much that they wanted to go get food with me. I told them I didn't have much budgeted for con food and they offered to pay....which led to them buying me an appetizer, meal, AND dessert at Cheesecake Factory. Afterwards we parted ways and I saw them once more for the Vocaloid event the next day. Nothing else happened but uhhhhhhh I don't think they just thought I was cool actually.

4) This isn't a singular story but every time I had a crush on a girl in school I would find any excuse to pick her up and just carry her around everywhere. Two of the people I did this with I ended up dating. Why did I want to pick them up all the time? What was I trying to prove? I never said anything about my crush I would just carry them and make jokes about being their knight escorting them???

Moral of the story: Idk I'm gay and a little dumb, please be so incredibly straightforward with me.

I love researching something and then finding something other than what I was looking for that’s also fascinating like, I’m going through the rfta transcription bc one of my fic ideas is about Phoenix reminding various people of Mia but that’s besides the point, it led me to the Lana’s line about Mia talking to her about Phoenix, saying that she’s heard ‘quite a bit’ about him.

Anyway she totally knows that he ate glass and is very likely to get the inside scoop on Edgeworths gay brooding and I’m guessing that the promise for a dramatic trial is the only thing keeping her from going insane in her situation.

I've wondered about this a few times myself. Sure, many of us are degenerates (affectionate), but fiction is fiction, and most people in reality would probably react with fear. Still, I'm sure those devils wouldn't deliberately hurt MC (even the crazier ones are smart enough not to spoil a good toy).

and i am soooooo normal about raydon you have no idea<3 i've been meaning to make a more in-depth analysis on their dynamic and why i like them as a ship for someone else who asked but i haven't had the chance to organize all my thoughts yet </3

tbh the biggest thing is i just really like their development through the series because like. don is shown to really admire ray and obviously pre-escape ray is experiencing the horrors and is actively pushing everyone besides emma and norman away and i really like seeing them grow closer after ray is finally allowed to begin healing it's very sweet to me <3

their dynamic is just really good in general and i think it is very underappreciated. and in the context of romance specifically i like the idea of them finally being allowed to get to know each other and seeing don's admiration turn into genuine love while ray tries to process his feelings (and probably has a few crises over it<3) and i think don being such an openly affectionate and caring person would definitely help ray as he learns to handle recieving affection and giving it as well. also it's really sweet seeing how emotional ray makes don at several points in canon and i like thinking about him just being so overjoyed whenever ray shows him any sort of affection (and ray noticing this and making a mental note to do it more often <3)

tldr theyre both very sensitive people in different ways and their development is very sweet and the would be so good to each other and they are cute. also they are funny as fuck

I’m definitely not as present and empathetic as I could be for some of y’all, and I’m sorry about that. Also I need to read your writing and see your art more. And check in on people more.

But you know what, let me show you how I stop saying things like that.

I want to do all those things for everyone. But I’m also brain dead and slowly trying to breach the surface and keep my head above water after drowning for a few days, so there’s that too. (I am getting better ☺️👍🏻) This isn’t a call out post, this is me reorienting my brain since it’s making me overthink things, and I’m doing it here so others can see that yes, even us “well adjusted adults” run into this issue too and this is how we seemingly don’t lose our marbles.

To all of y’all who are drowning and feel guilty if you don’t try to juggle taking care of the entire freaking world while you’re actively inhaling water, numbing out into nonexistence, and slowly dying inside, stop it. Take a look at yourself and recognize that you’re not God, you can’t fix everything and everyone, and you will never be able to. What you can do is remember that you can’t give others light if you have none for yourself. You’re not perfect, don’t you dare expect yourself to be. When you’re hurting you’re hurting. Be humble and responsible and recognize that in order for you to help others, you have to help yourself first.
