The BTS for each Smosh Sketch becomes progressively gayer and gayer. We're literally watching Ian and Anthony fall in love or at least get increasingly horny for each other.

bad video ideas part three
‘Gaming with a Twist’ is moved to Wednesday’s, and becomes like a two to six person show, and instead, on Fridays a new show is released featuring the ENTIRE smosh family. It’s titled ‘Family Game Night’ and the episodes are usually two parters and are 40+ minutes to allow for longer games. As opposed to their normal 10 am release time, Family Game Night is released at 5 pm on Fridays.
Sundays become RPG day, and the group begins a game of DND with Matt Raub DMing.
Wes takes the gang LARPING
We finally get the feral sort of Smoffice sketch series we deserve
They start having more and more sketches that help develop their more popular characters, and allow for new characters in a series somewhat similar to Youtube Detention
Monthly smosh meme wrap up where the fam has us send them our favorite smosh memes of the month though the phone number, and it has a similar vibe to show with no name
Mari and Courtney do an escape room
DAMIEN AND KEITH PLAY SPOOKY GAMES

The POSSIBLE Real Reason why Anthony Left S*osh + Why Ian is Seemingly Out of Anthony’s New Picture.
You guys have been waiting for this for a LONG time, so I’m not going to waste another second getting into it! Get ready, y’all! It’s theory time!
Tumblr media
DISCLAIMER:
THIS IS NOT MEANT TO PROVE ANYTHING! This is just a series of speculations and theories that is not intended to be taken as a fact. Everything in this could be 100% wrong for all I know, so please take this info with a grain of salt and DO NOT spread it around as a fact. As always, you’re free to disagree and have conflicting opinions, but don’t be a dick! Please and thank you!
Also, this is very long. I would apologise, but I’m WEEYYY too proud of this to apologise. xD Enjoy!
So, before we get started, I’m going to mention what Anthony stated in his livestream Friday night. Someone asked a question about S*osh and Anthony didn’t really say much, but what he did say was very interesting nonetheless.
“Later on, I may talk about other reasons why I left that I didn’t mention in my video, but that’s all I’m going to say about that now.”
Which is cold cut proof that he didn’t tell the full story in his DEPARTURE VIDEO. Even before that, however, we was able to see evidence that this was so. How? Well one example is at 2:35 of his video, Anthony says:
“I need to do be doing what makes me happiest to wake up each morning. Right now that’s for me to do things on my own again with complete creative freedom.”
Which is fine. When he posted this, it made complete sense... but then only FOUR days later, he was in a INTERVIEW with the Instant podcast called “Hey Guys” and was asked at 29:47 what else he would like to do with all the new freedom he had. His response was:
“It’s overwhelming in the best way ever. Of course I’ll be doing my channel, two videos a week, then I fell in love with voice acting when I voiced a character in the Angry Birds movie so I’d like to do more of that if I can. I also wanna try some traditional acting. I’m writing a TV show pilot that I’ve kind of put on the back burner for now while launching my new channel, but I’m really excited about that.
I’m paraphrasing him a little bit, but you can watch the video for the full quote.
Ummm... Didn’t he just say that he left so he could do things on his own with creative freedom not even five days ago? I mean, it was nothing major but it definitely raised a flag for me. If all he wanted was creative freedom and to do things on his own, then why was he willing to work for OTHER companies to voice act or produce his own TV show that I am MORE than sure are more creatively strangling than Smosh ever was. To me, it just didn’t add up. Not to mention that he would be working with a LARGE group of artists, writers, directors, set designers, etc. So that was the first thing that made me suspicious about what he was telling us. There are other reasons as well like him getting a cameraman and trying to establish a cast not even after a year he said he wanted to work alone, but I’m not going to spend anymore time on this because I have a lot more to cover.
So, if creative freedom isn’t the whole story... then what’s the rest of it? While there are no clear cut answers at this time, I do think I have a reason.
I don’t think that Anthony lied. I definitely believe that creative freedom was part of the reason, but it’s not the main reason. The main reason for Anthony leaving is because of the company and the higher ups.
Think about this for a moment. Anthony said that he kept staying with S*osh because he was hoping that eventually it would feel like the good old days with just him, Ian, and a camrea. Once he realised that it would never be that way again, I think he may have tried to change it back to that. Not exactly like how it used to be, but just a little bit of a change. It is also worth mentioning that according to THIS ARTICLE, Barry Blumberg who made Ian and Anthony into the icons they are today, left Defy only three months before Anthony announced his own departure. They company says that the two moves are unrelated, but are they really? Is it possible that Barry was willing to work with Anthony’s desires but were all of a sudden pushed aside by the new Chief Content Officer? What if the new chief told Anthony that what he wanted was not best for the brand. It wasn’t in the best interest for S*osh, so his desires to get back to how things were was just pushed aside and muted with more cast members. This, my peeps, is what I believe pushed Anthony out of the company.
Need more proof? Look at Anthony’s content. Most of his stuff could have been done with the S*osh brand and even I argue that some of the plot in his videos are straight from former S*osh plots. He could have easily done what he’s doing- and even the things that he wants to do like voice acting- could’ve been done from within the company, but why didn’t he? Because the new chair didn’t approve of Anthony’s ideas. If it wasn’t the new chair, then you can also argue that maybe the CEO didn’t want it to happen. According to THIS ARTICLE, Matt Diamond seems to be more concerned about the monetization of the content than the actual content itself. If the CEO saw Anthony’s move towards the older days as a threat to the money his and Ian’s brand would bring him, then I believe he would have no problems with shutting down his ideas with more cast members or cheesy shows that doesn’t even belong on a sketch comedy channel. Also, in THIS VIDEO, Ian mentioned that he felt like Anthony’s departure was coming and that it wasn’t that shocking when he told him which means that Ian knew that something was going on.
The other reason why I feel like it’s a higher up issue is because a month or so later, Lasercorn and Sohinki left S*osh Games. The company suddenly began losing members. Why? Because the company isn’t focused on the content, but on the money the content is making. I could be completely wrong about all of this and the real reason could be something totally different, but at the moment this is what I think really pushed Anthony away. I do believe that there were also a lot of other things that happened, but I believe that it is the higher ups that put the cherry on top.
Okay, so what about Ian and Anthony? Are they still friends and if so, why don’t Ian collab with Anthony or vice versa? Well, I believe I may have an answer for the worst Ianthony drought in history.
YES Ian and Anthony are still friends as I’ve already mentioned HERE. So if they are, where’s Ian in Anthony’s content. Well, what if Anthony couldn’t leave unless he agreed to a couple of obligations? What if Defy made him sign a contract? It would allow him to mention the brand name, but he would not be allowed to promote it, use the brand in his own content, or have any creative say so... what if that includes Ian? Like obviously he would be able to mention Ian, but what if Ian CAN’T be in his videos because it is part of the contract he signed when he left? If it is true that Ian is included with the brand contract, then that would explain why Ian isn’t in any of Anthony’s videos and it would also explain that seemingly harsh and out of the blue TWEET he made four days after leaving.
Tumblr media
He was legally forced to disconnect himself from the company and the brand completely which could also prevent Ian showing up in his videos. Ian is technically a part of the Smosh brand, after all. We know it isn’t Ian’s side of the contract either. We know this because while Anthony was signed on with S*osh, they collabed with MANY other YouTubers who mentioned the brand with no problems. So, why wouldn’t Ian be able to collab with Anthony? Because he signed a departure contract that forbids him from doing so. For how long? No one knows, but I have a feeling that it will expire eventually. The quote from his livestream I mentioned at the start of this theory stated that he may talk about what really happened later. Why not now? Because the contract he signed is forbiddening him from doing so until the legal binding is lifted.
Again, I could be 100% wrong! This could all just be crazy talk for all i know! I mean, what kind of company would place legal obligations on an employee just because they want to le-

I don’t know where to turn or who to talk to, and therefore I’m venting here (Usually I vent through the tags but fuck it, this is almost 3 pages so).
Lately I’ve been thinking about what I wanna do with my life. How should my life look like for me to be satisfied in 5 or 10 years? How do I spend it without regretting it when I'm old? The “Swedish dream” of getting a house, car, family and probably a pet never interested me. I've always had big dreams of moving to America and becoming something. Either an actor, a musician, a professional dancer, an animator, or something else that fulfills me creatively.
Right now I work as a personal assistant and I’ve been doing that for a couple of years now. But as long as I’ve been in this field I’ve said that my worst nightmare is waking up at 55, still a personal assistant, and feeling like I’ve wasted my life.
What got me thinking was that, like I’ve said, I’ve been working there for a couple of years, but I’ve done the bare minimum to achieve my dreams. So I started to really look into myself, where should I be in my life in 5-10 years too feel satisfied. And I’ve realized that I need to do something Now.
The thing is, that I don’t know what to do, what to focus on. And I’m a person that has such a hard time asking for help from others, that I literally build furniture by myself even tho my friends that I lived with said they’d help me, because I didn’t wanna ask for that help. So, hence I’m kinda set on having to achieve my goals by myself. Which is kind of hard if I wanna be a musician in a band, or if I wanna try acting, or anything I can think of.
When I stumbled upon the concept of being a Youtube creator, I set my goal on that. It's a platform where I could try all the different things that I wanna do, and see what works out. 21 years old, and knowing it’ll probably take a couple of years to get somewhere, I was kind of confident it might work out. Managed to have kind of a steady schedule with one upload each week for a couple of months. And it was so much fun! It felt like I found what I wanted to do. Then my life came crashing down. I had to quit studying due to bad grades so couldn’t take any more study loan, didn’t have any steady job, and had to move out of my room in the student-collective/apartment. My motivation and energy got drained out due to anxiety and depression, and the constant worrying about being able to pay for rent etc, and finding somewhere to live.
Now I’m turning 24 in July, live in a apartment with my sister and work on a steady job with very nice hours imo. My most stressful week I work 80~ hours divided on 4 days/shifts. I’m literally always free on Mondays, barely work Fridays and Sundays. Like I do have time to spend on achieving my dreams and goals. But my motivation to do youtube by myself isn’t there, and I’ve realized that I can’t do it on my own. I’ve tried to get back more times than I can count. I think that some if the biggest problems I have is that I’m a perfectionist that doesn’t want to even try to make a video if I know it won’t end up perfect. Which sucks because when I started I knew that the first period will undoubtedly be very bad videos that I’ll cringe about in the future, but I didn’t care. I had to much fun. Another part is that I feel like I’m dry out on ideas that I can do by myself. But that means that I have to ask people for help by being in my videos.
The past few weeks I’ve really gotten into Smosh Gaming, mainly their board/card gaming videos. After watching that, and ended up seeing some of the different things they’ve done and are doing at Smosh, I’ve realized that That is my dream. They do comedy sketches, they play games, they have like the bigger Summer/Winter game things they do, and just plain silly and fun stuff. Like, if that was my life, if only for a couple of years, I think I would be satisfied.
But! Two really big problems. Firstly, I live in Sweden. Just getting to America is a big problem. Second, if I got there, there would be no guarantee (and imo chance) that I could be a part of them. Like, how would I even start to have a shot of getting into the Smosh team?
So I’ve started to think, maybe I could start up something like that here in Sweden? Even tho I don’t personally wanna be like a driving force/main person in it, I just wanna be a part of that kind of concept. I want it to be something that other people can do without me if I don't have time or energy during a recording session or something. I know that I won't have the energy in the long run if I'm the only driven person. But I really want something like this here. So I’ve started to look around for information. How much does it cost to rent an office space? What kind of equipment would I need for the bare minimum? What do They have and use? What would I actually need to get this ball rolling?
But, if you’ve actually read through all this, you’ll realize another problem. Asking for help. Asking anyone to see who would want to be a part of this.
One big obstacle is that I barely feel like I have any friends. I do, but so far this year I’ve actually hung out with friends one(!) time, not counting my sister that I live with, or meetings over the event we plan on doing this summer. And I’ve thought about posting this on fb or insta, but like almost everyone I’m friends with people I’m not really friends with, and hence is unsure if I want them on this project. But before I even start to get other people involved I want to know and fix all the equipment and location for it. But on the other hand, I don't want to figure out the name and such for it on my own either, because I don't want it to be “mine”, I just want to be a part of it. Like the golden opportunity would be to find that kind of team up here that I can join, but I doubt it would ever happen.
The thing about this idea too, is that I feel like... I would be satisfied to do that even if I wouldn't be able to live off of it. Like I could stay as a personal assistant, or start working with something else, just as long as I could be a part of something like that. The DREAM would be to only live of that, but I'd be satisfied if I could just do it.
At the same time, I wonder if I feel like this because I feel so lonely. I never spend time with any friends, I do literally nothing on my free time besides watching youtube and occasionally play video games. So like, how my life looks like right now isn't in anyway sustainable. I have to change it, but I don't know how. I have social anxiety so asking someone to hang out is so scary and getting a No would get me to down for it to be worth it (and spiral me down a very dark path of doubting if they even like me as a friend). So That is also a reason why I want everything figured out before I even start thinking about who to ask if they wanna be a part of this. If I have like everything figured out it feels like the risk of getting a No gets slimmer and slimmer.
And I also wonder if this is just another “ADHD fix/idea”. I've always had problems with getting super into stuff and then getting bored and abandoning it after a while. Hopefully it isn't, but I'll never know until I try, but it's kind of a big project to just start and then just abandoning it. That's also a reason why I feel like I need people to help me, to psych me up. And that's true about most in my life tbh.
So yeah, I don’t know where to start, who to talk to, or anything.

AmazingPhil
I know I’ve failed to upload the last two weeks. Sorry about that. Anyway before I start this blog I want to tell you a bit about what I’ve done this past week. From Monday to Friday my best friend and his girlfriend stayed in London. On Monday I went to London Zoo with them to catch up which was good fun. On Thursday however, I was going to be in London anyway, because I signed up for the Event Production Show. I really enjoyed seeing all of the companies promoting themselves there. I didn’t stay for too long, because students were only allowed in after 12 p.m. and there was only one panel that I actually wanted to see. It was titled ‘taking on secondary ticketing’ and the panel guests were Adam Webb, Sharon Hodgson, who is an MP and Sam Briggs. I really enjoyed hearing professionals talking about the issues in our industry and what they were doing about it. I probably looked quiet stupid with my notebook on my lap, compared to all the journalists with their recording devices. I really didn’t care though, I just wanted to remember every single word they said.
Because I’ve already talked about the entire biography of Vivaldi I feel like there is not much more that I can add to this series about him. So I decided to cut this series very short and move on to March’s ‘artist’. I know this one is not about a musician, but I will regularly come back to musicians. There are just a lot more forms of entertainment that I enjoy than just music. Therefore this month I will be talking about *drumroll* ………. AmazingPhil!! AmazingPhil So….. needless to say I am really fond of this YouTuber. (Even my mum knows who he is because I won’t shut up about YouTubers in general) ‘This what?!??!’ I hear you say. YouTubers are people that make video’s, usually from their bedrooms, and post them on YouTube for other people to watch. This is an actual job and it’s amazing. This isn’t anything like actors in a movie or on stage. This is just people talking about their lives, making sketches, discussing current events, literally anything you can think of and telling it to their camera as if it is their best friend. Usually they are very honest and authentic and it helps a lot of people that suffer from depression or loneliness, because this way you have a friend that you can turn to whenever you want and they will never be mean to you. Loads of them also support charities to do with mental health and bullying, especially cyber bullying.
The most amazing thing about YouTubers is that all of it is self-produced. From writing the script for their stories, to filming and even editing all of the video’s, they all do it themselves. And because of all of these video’s that AmazingPhil uploads and the two books he and his best friend Danisnotonfire have published I will only use those as sources. Honestly, if you want to know anything about a YouTuber you don’t have to look it up on the internet, it’s all right there on their channels.
Childhood Philip Michael Lester was born at 4am on the 30th of January, 1987 in northern Manchester. Phil’s mum decided to call him Philip, because all of the Philip’s that she knew were really kind. Turns out that was a good choice. Also she thought it would go well with his older brothers’ name who is called Martyn. Funfact: He would’ve been called Fiona if he was a girl.
As a child he loved animal documentaries and wanted to become a vet, zookeeper or a weatherman. None of which came true. He was a very strange kid, in fact he has a playlist on his channel called Awkward Childhood Stories. This playlist includes video’s with titles such as; Why I was a weird kid and Things I thought that were true that are not true (part 1, 2 and 3). There are also several chapters in The Amazing Book Is Not On Fire that discuss the weird things that Phil used to do as a child which include secretly eating fish food, breeding hamsters and trying to sell the babies and sitting in front of the washing machine and watching his teddy bears spin.
High School Phil decided to dye his hair bright yellow the week before going to a new school. Good idea, Phil. During high school his favourite subject was art, because when pretending to sketch something you could secretly talk to people. Just like most people that spend a majority of their time on the internet, *cough* totally not me *cough*, he hated P.E. I think there is a direct link between someone’s physical ability to play sports and their obsession with certain fandoms. At least, I’m guessing that’s why I’m so bad at sports…… Anyway, in his final year of high school he did some work experience as a vet, but he couldn’t handle watching a dog getting surgery and passed out. So that dream could be crossed off his list. Also he dressed as a lion on his final day of school and his prom date was a balloon…..
College and early YouTube career In college he studied art, media studies, English and psychology. Around the end of his college years he discovered YouTube where Lonelygirl15(169.560 subscribers) and Smosh(22.565.525 subscribers) inspired him to start making his own video blogs. He started out with a black and white webcam that he got in a cereal box. 26 March 2007 is when he uploaded his first video. In this video he talks about mother’s day and the present he bought his mum, his exam that he did that day and how he found 10 pounds in his washed jeans. Quality content! It takes surprisingly less time to get a lot of subscribers these days, but Phil’s first milestone of 100 subscribers took more than a year and a total of 30 video’s to happen.
University After college Phil went to York University where he studied English Language and Linguistics. He lived in a house with 5 girls and 4 other boys. The boys in the house decided to start a prank war against each other. After they moved Phil’s entire bedroom into the kitchen, his master plan for revenge was replacing sugar for salt….. I don’t think Phil is capable of being mean. In his last year one of his best friends with whom he lived for three years passed away suddenly. Knowing that he probably wouldn’t want him to stay sad, Phil embraced some of the opportunities he got offered instead of shying away from them like he used to. Because of this he took part in The Weakest Link and had a small role in Faintheart.
After he finished University he moved back home, where he discovered that YouTube was actually a massive community. This is where he met fellow YouTuber PJ(KickThePj 1.254.267 subscribers) and went to a new year’s eve party with him. Inspired by the YouTube community he decided to put more effort into his video’s which then started to get more and more attention. In the same year he met Crabstickz(718.491 subscirbers) and his now best friend Danisnotonfire(6.303.794).
This is where I’m going to end this week’s blog, because when Phil met Dan is when the biggest success of both their careers was born. Even though these days you rarely see Dan or Phil’s name without the other, in my opinion they both have amazing channels of their own. AmazingPhil as of today has 3.989.960 subscribers and together with Dan they share 10.293.754 subscribers. I have never met anyone that knows one of them without knowing the other and I think that is the power and incredible entertainment that is Dan and Phil.
There is so much additional stuff that I want to talk about, but I’ll save that for future blogs, because this one has literally just spilled into a third page on Word and it’s by far the longest blog I’ve written. See you next week!
