Sometimes I appreciate the versatility of words in English. "Frustration" is a word that covers a lot of feelings, from mild annoyance to complete powerlessness and hopeless rage, for example. It's stronger as a word if we save the more severe meanings for more severe circumstances.

But sometimes, it's really cathartic to be absurd and dramatic or to sit in your feelings and admit that whether or not the situation is actually severe in reality your feelings are so big that they demand severity.

So, sometimes, you know your feelings about a trivial thing like -- as a silly hypothetical -- being in a specific fandom and being from a specific meme/art era and finding that the specific thing you would really like to exist does not exist and you don't possess the skills to make it exist, for instance, are pretty definitely on the mild annoyance side of the frustration scale. But "frustration" is a versatile word and people are inherently inconsistent (to varying degrees, even) as a side-effect of our personhood, so you go ahead and privately think about it like the greatest injustice in your head and let yourself feel like you're frustrated in the powerless way.

Then, partially pacified by catharsis, you tone the word down and reassess your situation having let your emotions do their thing for a little bit.

I'm not always a fan of ambiguity, but versatility sure is nice. Language is neat.

Welcome to Ky of Sonder's Eicenrell Archives!

Like the description says, this is a side blog for @kyofsonder that's specifically focused on my writing. While I enjoy mixing my writing work with more passive reblogging and not-fiction-related personal posts on my main blog, it can get frustrating not having a central archive of the stories/poems/writeblr things I've posted to Tumblr. To solve this problem and give readers a place to just easily rad what they want from my works, I've created this archive.

There's no requirement to follow my main blog in order to follow this one, and I couldn't enforce it if there was. It's also perfectly fine to address writeblr ask and tag games here, but know that if you ask anything that's not writing related I'll answer it on my main blog (or another side blog if I make others).

Content Notice:

All writing will have content warnings where applicable, if I ever forget or if a reader has a specific thing they would like included in these warnings (ex: I don't think birds need a warning, but someone with a phobia of them might prefer bracing themself before reading descriptions of them) please send an ask or message and I will fo my best to add it to my warnings in the future.

Commission Info:

I'm currently rebuilding my writing habits and haven't had time to do research on standard commission rates, but I'm open to taking a commission or two from those willing to discuss price in messages until proper rates and slots can be decided. Thank you for your patience, and please reach out if you are also willing to be patient about price negotiations.

sonder speaks - announcements and personal info, while this is largely restricted to the main blog it'll come up here sometimes

tag games - all content responding to or joining in tag games from various corners of the writeblr community

ask games - all content responding to or joining in ask games from various corners of the writeblr community

a place to return novel - all content related to a novel wip of mine titled A Place to Return

apricots novel - all content related to a novel wip of mine titled Apricots

1. I made a post referencing it, but I'm formally saying that this guy was such a god-awful cavern jade that when he ran away, the rest of them were too relieved to try and have him brought back.

2. He has (had?) a habit of getting really caught up in his own world/in the things he was doing.. if he was writing in his journal he would forget about everything else until he was done. This included Oda, but fortunately, his lusus had it covered.

3. Fidget King... Achlys always needed to keep his hands busy, either with writing or fidgeting with his clothes, usually. Always antsy to be doing something...

Goals for This Blog in 2024

Finally make and pin a masterpost for things like where to find my WIPs, what all my tags are and what they mean, relevant information about me and my system, relevant links, commission info, etc

Clear out my ask box and mentions -- mostly answering, very little deleting -- and set up a queue system so I can work with my brain and respond to future asks/mentions/tag games with fewer delays and less stress

Post more short stories -- to keep myself accountable and keep my confidence up if I happen to get any positive feedback on them

Create relevant backup/side blogs, so I can neatly archive the important things in a space that's less cluttered and more easily searchable

Post more freely -- this is not a classroom or business office or other strictly regulated space, just because I can (and want to) be commissioned for short stories doesn't mean I have to be scared of blogging on my own blog

Blorbo post, specifically, and put aside concerns about the complications of system things overlapping with writing things because it's okay if that gets misunderstood -- we're all having fun here regardless. I hope

Engage in more ask games and tag games, keeping up my involvement in the writeblr community and inspiration to write

Be aware of my own social battery and other limitations, as well as the need to prioritize study when I can so I can finally get that transcription certification, and when any of these goals get to be overwhelming allow myself to take a step back and recharge instead of burning myself out early
