Writing Updates - Feb 2024

Hey guys! Sorry for all the spamming of masterlists lately, I'm just trying to get set up so when I come in to post works in the near future, it's bing, bang, boom and I don't have to spend so much time linking. It's just easier for me tbh. I will say though that I don't post any masterlist unless there is something currently being written/outlined for the character/ship/fandom. :)

I have a lot I want to accomplish over this year but for this month I'm primarily going to be focusing on:

AO3 Request One Shot - SDV Leah x Insecure!Reader

Tumblr Request One Shot - Dean x Angel!Reader

Chap 2 of Ghosts (I know I keep saying it but I promise I will get this out sooner rather than later, I'm still working on it, promise)

finishing the fleshing out of Part 2 of Follow Me

Jake Gray one shot (I am SO excited for this one, I recently rewatched this movie and this idea popped into my head, I really hope you guys like it!!!)

also gonna try to get out the Jake x Dakota one shot I had an idea for around the same time if I can

Another Jason Teague work that just popped into my head last week that I really want to dive into

another Multi-Character Prompt Response project (that will start delving into characters I've recently added to the character masterlist while also bringing back a familiar few)

the short story for Beau I previewed last month (it's basically written, I just have to go through and make some tweaks here and there)

A John Winchester one shot

A Benny Lafitte one shot

2 more Dean one shots

posting Chapter 1 for Keep Me Inside

revisiting Chapter 4 of Holding & Chapter 3 of Thunder

the one shot I previewed last month for CJ has actually turned into a prompt response so I would like to get that out along with its sister prompt response for another character

sequel to Dean's "Sleep. I'll keep you safe."

I'm currently also working with the Twi/HP/HL/SPN/GoT//MCU/TWD/Outlast characters/ships I've posted about and visiting those worlds/dynamics has been a lot of fun

a Whipplocke one shot that popped into my head over the weekend

and more! (not saying it will all get done by the end of Feb, but I do plan to dedicate my writing time to the projects listed)

I will be posting a sort of WIP masterlist soon. Ngl, it's huge (it's making my beta's head spin and want to pop off lol), but a lot of it is in groups, like the prompt responses.

If you'd like to be tagged for anything, please feel free to let me know in the tag form. I still have to update it but if there's anything not there that you've seen here or something you want to see, just let me know and I'll add you/add it. :)

Hey guys! Sorry I haven’t been around, I just got done with my first year of college.

That being said, since I now have more free time, I’ll be back on and doing more stuff with Heathers as well as possibly writing a short (still up for debate).

If anyone has any work of the Heathers (specifically Heather Duke), please feel free to submit it or something and I’ll bring some attention to it. The Heathers community has some really nice works that deserve more love, and if I can help with that I want to.

Oddly specific Heathers headcanons!

These just kind of popped into my brain, so I compiled them! They include the Heathers, Ronnie, and J.D.! Enjoy!

Ronnie:

Defo built little mud and stick houses for bugs as a kid.

Owns probably 17 tubes of chapstick because she keeps losing them.

Ex-horse-girl

Had an egyptology phase in 6th grade.

Sharpens her candy canes when she eats them.

Loves those peach gummies.

Hated baths as a kid. The water was either way too hot or way too cold for her. No matter how much it was adjusted.

Basically lives in sweatshirts and sweatpants at home. She likes tank tops in summer. She steals them from J.D. He is not happy about it.

J.D.:

Constantly cracking his bones. Not an intimidation thing, he’s just like that.

Can’t keep the same pencil for more than 3 days. He loses them. Yes he has many deep pockets in his coat. No they don’t have holes. He just doesn’t know where the pencils go.

One of those people who lights his marshmallows on fire until they’re black when making s’mores. Except he will chase people around with the flaming marshmallow.

Doesn’t bite his nails, but he bites his cuticles.

Also sharpens his candy canes when he eats them. He has candy cane sword fights with Ronnie during Christmas.

Only likes the cheap drugstore chocolate. He can’t stand any of the high-end stuff.

He does his own eyebrows. He’s really intense about it. He will pluck and wax them. His favorite part of his face are his brows. Am I saying this solely because I think he has hot eyebrows? Maybe. Shhhhh.

Chandler:

HATES IHOP.

Also an ex-horse-girl.

HATED pink as a kid, but came to terms with it and now loves it.

Kissed her best friend in kindergarten because “that’s what friends do!” It was a sign.

Has a 29,848-step skincare and haircare and nailcare and teethcare and bodycare and eyelashcare routine.

HATES relish.

Only chews pink bubblegum. No other flavors. No other colors.

Has like 5,000,001 pairs of shoes. In fact, she has a whole separate closet for them.

“I’m not gay. I just think women are really really pretty. Wouldn’t it be funny if I kissed a Ronnie? I’m not gay.”

McNamara:

Also also an ex-horse-girl.

Had a pet rat, pet praying mantis, pet tarantula, and pet snake.

Hates plain water.

Prefers butterscotch over cinnamon (iykyk).

She spends ages on her hair, just for it to explode during rain and humidity. She hates bad weather due to this.

Would definitely win Wheel of Fortune.

LOVES mustard. It’s yellow and she thinks it’s tasty.

Duke:

Actually, all of the Heathers were ex-horse-girls.

Chewed on pencil erasers as a kid. Also had those pencil eraser caps.

LOVES glitter gel pens and pretty notes. Y’know those TikToks of people making pretty colorful notes and it pans and the title is “𝐵𝑜𝓌𝑒𝓁 𝒞𝒶𝓃𝒸𝑒𝓇” or something? That’s Duke.

Has tons of fake plants. She may like green, but by God she does not have a green thumb.

“Pspspppsspspspsps”’s at every cat she sees.

Thinks she is amazing at baking. She is not. Everyone encourages her. The cycle continues.

MORE Random Heathers HCs!

This includes Veronica, the Heathers, and J.D.! They’re all very silly and I don’t know why I thought of them but I did. Enjoy! (P.S. there’s more to come!!)

Favorite sandwich:

Veronica - BLT, it’s safe and pretty good.

J.D. - Condiment sandwich. Mayonnaise and ketchup on white bread.

Chandler - Peanut butter and jelly. Crusts must be cut off.

McNamara - Grilled cheese. Does that count?

Duke - Turkey, lettuce, tomato, and Swiss cheese on sourdough bread. That is the only sandwich she will eat.

Favorite pie:

Veronica - Cherry!

J.D. - Key lime pie. His mom used to make a killer key lime pie, so now it’s his favorite.

Chandler - Strawberry.

McNamara - Pumpkin pie, and she’s pretty picky about any other kinds.

Duke - Hates pie.

Favorite flower:

Veronica - Chrysanthemums.

J.D. - Roses. He’s not a sucker for the usual romance-y stuff, but he loves roses.

Chandler - Also roses, but specifically pink.

McNamara - Star jasmine.

Duke - Gardenias.

Favorite hobby:

Veronica - Reading.

J.D. - Building bombs. Jk, it’s also reading… Or is it?

Chandler - Calligraphy.

McNamara - Baking! She loves making pretty cupcakes.

Duke - Reading, of course.

Favorite sport:

Veronica - Badminton, she played it in middle school.

J.D. - Not really a sports guy, but he likes baseball.

Chandler - Also not really into sports, she likes dance, though.

McNamara - She was a gymnast as a kid, so that’s what she likes to watch.

Duke - Definitely into swimming. She doesn’t do it herself as often as she did as a kid, but she loves watching people jumping off the high dive and doing tricks.

Instruments they play/played:

Veronica - Forced to play recorder in 3rd grade. Couldn’t even play Hot Cross Buns.

J.D. - Saxophone, obviously! Sometimes he serenades Veronica and she laughs at him. (I don’t know why but it’s so funny to me that he plays the sax.)

Chandler - Pretty skilled at violin and cello.

McNamara - She played one of those cat keyboards as a kid. Does that count?

Duke - She can do almost every wind instrument. She has mocked J.D. for his “poor” sax skills many times. It’s a miracle she’s still alive to play it, with how annoyed he gets.
