MOVING BACK IN FROM META

I was an active member of Tumblr for many years. I even connected it to my domain and used my blog as my website for a long time back when the Narnia theme wad still compatible. But I eventually left for Facebook. That was before the dark times. Before the Empire.

Facebook was great until their new algorithm began pushing negative content while suppressing everything else and they made it impossible to get the reach you need without paying Meta for boosts and ads. And when you manage to reach more people than you're supposed to, they attack you with arbitrary suspensions.

My account was deactivated the day before last for "spam" when all I did was share my own perfectly SFW cyberpunk art with 3 art sharing groups. They called it "spamming". I got my account back 30 hours later, after a grueling process, but lost it a few hours ago just today after posting 2 new reels. Facebook suggested it in order to keep my engagements up. I literally got disabled for doing what they themselves suggested. That's nuts!

I appealed their decision but even if i get it back again, I'm done. Meta is corrupt. I will not bow to extortion. If they asked members to pay a monthly fee for a far looser grip, I'd go for that, but not this low level mafia bullshit.

By • Olalekan Fagbade President Tinubu reveals what his govt  will do to Judiciary to fight corruption       President Bola Tinubu has promised that his administration will deal with the issue of the judiciary remuneration review to combat corruption. Receiving the leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), led by Barrister Yakubu Maikyau (SAN), at the presidential villa in Abuja on Thursday, he pledged that the government will conclude a thorough review of the remuneration templates of judicial officers in the country. According to a statement issued on Friday by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), the president said the battle against corruption necessitates a comprehensive review of the salaries and allowances of judicial officers, an issue that is well-known to him, given his landmark success in reforming justice administration in Lagos State. “We must deal with the review of remuneration if we truly want to fight corruption in the Judiciary. We will look at the cost as well as the consequences,” he said in response to a request by the NBA president. Tinubu equally acknowledged the importance of addressing the current vacancies within the Supreme Court, affirming that these vacancies represent obligations that must be fulfilled based on recommendations put forth by the National Judicial Council (NJC). “Majority of them are on holiday now and when they return, we will take a look at what they have and we will fill the vacancies. It’s a fulfillment of an obligation,” he said. The President thanked the NBA for extending an invitation to him to declare open the association’s 63rd Annual General Conference this weekend in Abuja. He acknowledged his privilege of having numerous lawyers as close aides, including the Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, the State Chief of Protocol, Amb. Victor Adeleke, and his Principal Private Secretary, Prince Damilotun Aderemi.
