you can literally see when i gave up on this and just embraced the chaotic energy swiftie peralta has (also i have not revised this at all, probably 70% of this doesnt make sence)

"BABE, ARE YOU HOME?" was the first thing Amy heard right when she closed the door behind her.

"YES, SWEETIE" she took her shoes off after a nine hour shift. Her and Rosa had been working on a case for too long and all she wanted was to relax. So she almost dropped dead onto the sofa and prayed Jake had made something for dinner.

"AMES I NEED A DIVORCE"

Great way to relax. Exactly the words she was hoping to hear.

"WHAT?" she shot back.

"NO! I MEAN FOR A WHILE"

"WHY?"

"WE NEED TO GO BACK TO BEING GF AND BF FOR A LITTLE" what in god's name was going through the mind of her husband right now? He appeared in the living room with a CD in hand and she suddenly realized what day it was today. "It's just, this song, paper rings!! it's so cute, and it's perfect for us before we got engaged, just listen!!"

"I like shiny things but i'd marry you with paper rings."

"Remember? How id marry you at the top of the Empire State Building during a King Kong attack??"

"I hate accidents except when we went from friends to this"

"Huh???" he spoke again, dancing along to the music that invaded the living room. "It's perfect!! Amy Santiago, I need to marry you again! Let's go burn our marriage licence"

"Jake Peralta you are very much an idiot. But I love you, so i won't divorce you"

"Ameees, please... OH AND LOVER IT'S PERFECT FOR A FIRST DANCE 😭"

"This one is lover?"

"Yeah, and the whole album is called that"

"Yes, honey, I know. You've been counting the days. It's written on the board."

'Days left to lover release:

SIX, FIVE, FOUR, THREE, TWO, TOMORROW, TODAY!!'

"Can we just get married again??? Imagine this as our first dance…"

The melody was beautiful, she had to admit that. But they didn't have money or time to plan another wedding. It was nonsense.

"You'll save all your dirtiest jokes for me"

"That's me, i'll save you each one"

"...and at every table, i'll save you a seat"

"And that you! cause I'm always late!"

It was absolutely adorable to watch her husband that excited for something. That level of excitement only Taylor (And Die Hard, of course) could bring him. So she pulled him into her side in the couch and gave him a hug while the music kept playing in the background.

Amy was almost asleep when Jake spoke again:

"And 'it's nice to have a friend'? totally for us too"

"Really?"

"'I forgot that you existed'? Cmon ames i forget things all the time! 'Cruel summer: i don't wanna keep secrets just to keep you', it's all about us!"

"Babe i don't think t–"

"TAYLOR SWIFT WROTE US AN ALBUM" the realization hit him and she couldn't help but laugh. She knew that contraring him was going to be useless, tho. So she said nothing and remained in their embrace

"And well, you're more Miss Cubana than Miss Americana but anyways"

"Oh, so you're the heartbreak prince???" she also laughed at that one.

"What about it?"

"I have your highschool pictures Jake, cmon"

"I was totally a heartbreak prince! The ladies from the cafeteria were totally in love with me!"

"Alright, alright. What about 'I think he knows'?"

"I hate to break it to you, but i pretty much knew that you liked me..."

"Cause Teddy told you..."

"SHH! I figured it out with my amazing detective skills'

"The archer?"

"I have both Moon and Venus in Sagittarius"

"How do you even know that?"

"I spended my teenage years with Gina."

"Yeah, makes sense"

"So there's not even the tiniest chance we get divorce"

"No, now shut up, I wanna sleep"

"Excuse me?? If you keep talking to me like that maybe i'll have to divorce you...Then ill forgive you, tho. But you'll have to plan a big proposal if you want me again, Ames. I'm talking getting Bruce Willis to do it for you."

"Jake…"

"Alright, alright. But after you wake up you have to slow dance with me."

"Deal."

Cleaning Out of Bordem- Jake Peralta x reader

Jake Peralta “judges” the readers look while she’s cleaning their apartment out of boredom. But in reality he is dying on the inside from how much he loves you. So, I was cleaning today because I’m bored out of my mind, had some wine, then this baby was born. 

You were finally off today, and Jake actually had to go into work today. Of course you loved when Jake got to be home from the precinct with you, but today was the day that you didn’t even know that you were looking forward to until it happened. You had the entire apartment to yourself. You got to sleep in when Jake left the bed with a kiss to your forehead before he had to get ready for work. You woke up at 9:00 which was late for you, you always liked to have alone time early in the morning before work, and even before Jake woke up. You liked to get up early, drink as much coffee as you could, and watch the shows that you liked. But today, you had everything to yourself. So you had your coffee and breakfast in bed, in front of the TV. You had watched Friends all day, or so you thought, you saw the clock and it said 11:30. But it felt like it was so long, maybe you just needed a shower and then you could continue to relax and do nothing.

Getting up, collecting your dishes from the night stand and bringing them back into the kitchen, you placed them on the counter next to the sink. Never in a million years would you have considered this, but what the hell, you had nothing to do. You grabbed a wine glass, filled it with chilled wine, and brought it into the bathroom with you. Like the rebel that you were. You only had wine in the shower with you when you were in college and maybe a little after. But ever since you started working at the precinct you never really had time to enjoy wine in the hot shower. 

But it only took a half an hour before you were done with your shower. You got back into your pajamas which consisted of Adida sweatpants and an old Die Hard shirt of Jakes. Now you sat at the side of the your bed deciding to do nothing, but you were bored out of your mind. Of course you could clean a little, but who would wanna do that on their day off. You scoffed at yourself at the even thought of you cleaning, sure you cleaned sometimes, but never on your only day off. Plus when you cleaned it was a little tidy up to make yours and Jake’s home look nice, but never the deep cleaning you thought about doing. You were jumped out of your thoughts when your phone started ringing, you looked over at it on the nightstand and saw that it was Jake calling you. “Oh, thank God!” You actually exclaimed to the empty room before jumping to your phone and answering it. 

“Hi, Jake!” You exclaimed over the phone.

“Hey!” Jake chuckled at your enthusiasm over the phone. “I thought you would be asleep or screening your calls while you watched Friends.”

“I thought so, too,” you whined. “I’m so bored. I was even thinking about cleaning.” 

“Oh my, whatever shall we do,” Jake joked over the phone. “You could come visit me and the rest of the force. It’s so boring over here and everyone misses you like crazy.”

“Oh, I’m sorry that it’s boring, and it’s nice that everyone misses me. But I’m not coming to where I work when I’m off.” You answered.

“Oh, come on babe. There’s no way you can say that, every time your off you end up coming here and hanging out anyway.” He laughed.

“I know, but the last few months have been stressful and I need a break, even if it’s for a day. I love you though.” You spoke. It was only a day and you were missing the boyfriend that you live with and work with, how lame were you. You rolled your eyes at how ridiculous you sounded.

“I love you too, babe. Hey, listen I need to go. Holt wants to see me and Rosa, but for the sake of both of us, just lay in bed, watch tv and relax for the day, okay?” He asked.

“Okay, I’ll try. I love you.” 

“I love you, too. See you when I get home.” With that Jake hung up on you and went to continue with his day at work. You laid back on your bed looking up at the ceiling thinking about what Jake said. You should take the day to relax, but as soon as you tried to relax you got bored. 

“Nope, can’t do it.” You said after five seconds of trying to relax before hopping up to clean.

You did it, it took about 5 full garbage bags of things you never used, but you did it. You laid on the floor of your living room laying victorious in your sweatpants, T-shirt, slippers, and kimono. After cleaning most of the apartment you were too exhausted to make it back to your room, so you just decided to just lay down on the carpeted floor and listen to the Taylor Swift playlist you had been playing throughout the duration of your cleaning. You didn’t even bother to look up when you heard the door open, only one other person had a key and it was your boyfriend who must have been home from work. “Do I hear Swifty?” Your boyfriend Jake audibly gasped as he said that walking into his home. 

“Yes, yes you do,” You smiled up at him from the floor before getting up to greet him. Your kimono flowing behind you. Jake gave you a look with his eyebrows furrowed, but he didn’t say anything until you reached up and pressed a quick greeting kiss before pulling away slightly. 

“You were cleaning weren’t you?” Jake asked as he hung his coat on the back of a chair that sat at your small kitchen table. 

“Yes, I did. So hang your jacket on the hook.” You crossed your arms over your chest. As Jake hung, he turned around and finally took in your look for the day. 

“What are you wearing?” Jake asked with a chuckle, but he was clearly trying really hard not to burst with laughter. You looked down at your attire, and you smiled  and grabbed the opening of your flowery kimono and wrapped it around yourself.

“My pajamas, plus a kimono.” you smiled proudly at him about your weird and uncommon attire. 

“Why?” He asked, curiously.

“I don’t know,” you shrugged with your smile still plastered. “I was cleaning, and I found it and forgot that I owned it. So I put it on. Have you never cleaned and then found something you forgot about, so you put it on and forget that it’s there?” You asked looking up at Jake.

“No, but I do know that I love you.” Jake thought out loud to your crazy self.

“Ohh, I love you too.” You blushed. Jake walked over to wrap his arms around your waist and kiss your forehead.

“Are you hungry? I was thinking pizza for dinner.” Jake mumbled into your skin making you snort.

“Yes, I’m starving, let’s eat. But if you make a mess I will kill you.” You warned as you walked away to place the call as Jake sat at the kitchen table watching you in your sweat pants as your kimono flowed around you like cape. Which was weird because you were his hero.

how many roomates do you have? bc that used to happen to me all the time and we were only 3 🤧 i like my new place but it has so many small spaces and my cat hides in there i frEAK OUT EVERYTIME I CAN'T FIND HER and she's just sleeping in a random place. being a cat's mom isn't as easy as i thought

i have 3 roommates so there’s 4 of us !!! technically we’re housemates tho :o but it’s rlly fun living with them 🥰🥰 next year i’m gonna have 4 roommates so it’ll be 5 of us :o AHAHA CATS HIDE SO MUCH i had to chase my neighbors cat down and omg i had to coax her to come out from under the bed 😭😭 took me like 10 min sobsob but his other cat ran out and we couldn’t find him until the next day ☹️
