#the incumbency advantage is huge

I should ask more specifically if you have any thoughts on Marianne Williamson's bid for the presidency and her campaign. She's a bit of a kook, but her PLATFORM seems really solid and definitely might appeal to the "vote republican for the economy!" moderates.
To be honest, I haven't looked up her platform or any of her policies, and I don't care if they appeal to the mushy middle who always wants an excuse not to vote for Democrats because they're "too socially liberal." Considering that whatever candidate the GOP runs, be it Trump or DeSantis or another of their terrible people, will be an unrepentant, unreconstructed, full-out fascist who can't be allowed to win at any cost, any person selfish enough to deliberately increase the odds of that candidate winning, as prominent third-party candidates always, ALWAYS hurt the Democrats, is not a serious figure or someone who should remotely be given any attention or artifical media prominence.

The US and Europe can no longer compete with China after the cost of producing solar modules there dropped by 42% in 2023 to $0.15 (€0.14) per watt. That gives Chinese manufacturers an enormous cost advantage over international rivals, according to a new Horizons report from consultancy Wood Mackenzie. In 2023, China's domestic solar additions were double those of the US and the EU combined. China, the world's solar module powerhouse, now holds 80% of global manufacturing capacity. By 2050, it will account for over 50% of the global power supply, according to Wood Mackenzie. "China is the lowest-cost solar module manufacturer in the world. Solar module prices in dollar per watt tallied in December show China's cost of $0.15 well below Indian ($0.22), European ($0.30) and US ($0.40) manufacturing rates," said Steven Knell, vice president and head of Power & Renewables Consulting, EMEA, at Wood Mackenzie. "The enormous cost advantage China holds imply international rivals' efforts to displace incumbent Chinese suppliers in renewable value chains may well be futile. The outlook for available component supply in the market is bullish given the capacity race that's underway, but China's rivals are unlikely to win on cost. China's already won the green technology capacity race," Knell told DW.[...]
The EU and US have made huge strides in renewable energy policy in the past two years. But reaching critical mass in the solar module production sector, like in China, requires commensurate commercial application, the experts agree. And this is where centralized state capitalism [sic] seems to offer certain advantages.

Making a Better Democratic Party: Presidential Primaries
Alright, so punishing an incumbent president during the primaries is harder than punishing a Congress member. This stems from the fact that incumbents enjoy a huge advantage in the general election, so members of the president's party will generally hold off on a presidential bid, since term limits (which don't exist for Congress members) mean they can have a shot in four years. And if they stay on good terms with the incumbent, then when it's their turn to run, they can get an endorsement.
Thus, the point of our action here is not realistically to replace Biden as the 2024 Democratic presidential candidate. However, that doesn't mean there's nothing we can do.
While most members of the president's own party won't run, there's generally a couple who will. Some of them will drop out before the primaries even begin, and those that make it to the first primary (well caucus) will typically drop out after they badly lose the Iowa caucus. Ideally, we'd have a protest candidate running against Biden - and staying in even though they know they don't have a chance - just to keep talking about Israel's genocide in Palestine. Stay in, force primaries to keep happening, and keep talking about that. But unless there's a tumblrina reading this who's qualified and interested in being that protest candidate, what we have to work with are the two challengers Biden currently has for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Those two are Marianne Williamson and Dean Phillips.
And what I want you all to do is email them and ask them to speak out against the genocide in Palestine now. If they're contrarian enough to run against Biden, they might be contrarian enough to oppose Biden on this. And since they're presidential candidates, they might get a bit of media attention for doing so. The goal of this is to create negative press for President Biden due to his support of genocide and thus pressure him to call for a ceasefire.
Williamson's presidential campaign website is here: https://marianne2024.com/
Phillips doesn't appear to have a presidential campaign website, but he does have a congressional campaign one: https://phillipsforcongress.org/
Here are direct links to their contact pages:
Finally, given that Biden is 80 years old, there's a good chance that he won't actually be the 2024 Democratic Presidential nominee, either because he's forced to retire due to health reasons or because he drops dead from being 80 years old. If that happens, the Democratic presidential primary becomes a clusterfuck, and I'll do a a follow-up post about what strategies we can pursue in those circumstances.

Last night’s election result is a nightmare for most of us and I’m sure nobody is interested in dwelling on that, but there are a few specific things I wanted to talk about, both good and bad.
Turnout
As it stands, Elections Ontario has the turnout count pegged at 43%. The ridings with the highest turnout are Huron—Bruce with 54%, and then both Niagara West and Parry Sound—Muskoka with 53%. The ridings with the lowest turnout were Kiiwetinoong with 28% (only 92% of results are in), Humber River—Black Creek with 32%, and Windsor West with 33%.
It’s impossible to gauge how many voters were discouraged from voting by polls that consistently showed the PCs with a strong advantage. We also don’t know how many people didn’t vote due to Covid-19 infection or a lack of easy access to a nearby polling station. All parties were handed a major setback yesterday when a tech issue prevented them from downloading lists of which voters had already cast a ballot and which hadn’t yet, so their ability to work strategically yesterday was limited. Regardless, 43% is a pathetic turnout rate.
It’s worth noting that the Green Party campaigned relentlessly in Parry Sound—Muskoka because, with no Liberal candidate running, they had a good chance of winning that seat. A lot of effort was made to engage with voters and win their support, both from the Greens and the incumbent PCs. Niagara West is Sam Oosterhoff’s riding, where he can mobilize a large group of supporters from his church to canvass and help people vote. Running an energetic campaign is a candidate’s job, but for the rest of us, volunteering and helping to get people to a polling station really does help. Persuading friends and family to vote helps. We’re at a disadvantage in a first past the post electoral system, so there’s zero room for apathy.
Andrea Horwath and the NDP
After four elections as leader, Andrea Horwath read the room and stepped down after running a low-energy and uninspiring campaign. In Brampton, deputy party leader Sara Singh lost her seat, as did Gurratan Singh. The PCs secured several union endorsements over the traditionally more labour-friendly NDP. The Liberals will get more attention for their trainwreck of an election, but yesterday was awful for the NDP.
With Horwath quitting, the NDP’s other deputy leader, John Vanthof, may be interested in running for the party leadership. Joel Harden and Marit Stiles are other potential contenders.
Notable losers
New Blue MPP Belinda Karahalios and New Blue leader Jim Karahalios both lost badly in Cambridge and Kitchener—Conestoga respectively. Derek Sloan also lost by a huge margin. The former Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders lost in Kathleen Wynne’s old riding.
The Liberals took the riding of Kingston and the Islands from the NDP, beating Mary Rita Holland, the former president of Ontario’s NDP. Sandeep Singh, who was controversially chosen as the NDP candidate in Brampton North over the incumbent, Kevin Yarde, also lost.
Steven Del Duca has stepped down after failing to secure party status for the Liberals or win in Vaughan—Woodbridge. After flipping from the PCs to the Liberals in 2020, MPP Amanda Simard lost her seat and two of the most well-known Liberal newbie candidates, nurse Tyler Watt and vaccination advocate Jill Promoli, also lost.
There’s not much for the PCs to be disappointed about, but their candidate in Haldimand—Norfolk lost to an independent. Former seven-term PC MPP Toby Barrett chose not to run in this election, but he endorsed his assistant Bobbi Ann Brady who was running as an independent.
Notable winners
After narrowly losing in 2018, Chandra Pasma unexpectedly flipped Ottawa West—Nepean to the NDP. With the NDP’s only other flip, Lise Vaugeois won in Thunder Bay—Superior North.
The biggest winners are obviously the PCs. It’s rare to win a comfortable majority and then increase that majority in the next election. Opposition to Doug Ford and the PCs over the last four years has been ineffective, and we need a hard reset in terms of organization. Signing petitions, marching to Queen’s Park, and literally begging Lisa MacLeod for help has made no material difference on PC policy. I hope that the NDP will fix their deep-seated problems and set the party on a better path, but mostly I hope that people who are upset today will feel motivated to help their neighbours who will be hit hardest by four more years of PC cuts and also to join a group organizing for material and achievable wins.

My Country Mobile: Voice Wholesale Termination for Global Communication
How Wholesale Voice Termination Can Reduce Costs and Improve Communications
For any business, having reliable and cost-effective voice services is critical. However, traditional calling plans can be expensive and limited in capabilities. This is where partnering with a wholesale voice termination provider can make a big difference.
Tumblr media
In this comprehensive guide, we’ll explain what wholesale voice termination is, its key benefits, how to select a provider and real-world examples of businesses saving money with this approach. We’ll also discuss how My Country Mobile is helping companies optimize their voice communication costs and capabilities through wholesale termination.
What is Wholesale Voice Termination?
Wholesale voice termination refers to the routing and completion of voice calls over a network belonging to a wholesale carrier rather than the customer’s local phone company.
Wholesale termination providers own or lease the equipment and connections to transmit calls. When a customer initiates a call, it is routed over the wholesale provider's network to its destination instead of the traditional phone network.
The wholesale provider charges the business per minute based on a discounted wholesale rate for carrying and terminating the call. This allows businesses to bypass higher retail calling rates from incumbent phone companies.
How My Country Mobile Uses Wholesale Termination to Reduce Costs
My Country Mobile operates a global VoIP network optimized for low-cost voice termination. When a customer leverages their service for call routing:
Calls get converted to digital packets and enter My Country Mobile's network
Packets are transmitted over My Country Mobile's leased fiber optic backbone
My Country Mobile terminates the calls with local carriers worldwide
This avoids paying higher retail markups from traditional providers
This wholesale termination model provides significant savings over standard calling plans. My Country Mobile passes these discounts along to deliver some of the industry's lowest calling rates to customers.
Key Benefits of Wholesale Voice Termination
Switching voice traffic to a wholesale termination provider offers several advantages:
Lower Calling Costs
The main benefit is significantly reduced calling rates, resulting in lower monthly bills. Savings of 30-50% compared to retail providers are typical. My Country Mobile's huge economies of scale provide very competitive wholesale pricing.
Increased Flexibility
With the ability to instantly scale call capacity as needed, wholesale termination easily handles seasonal spikes. Temporary number expansions take just minutes compared to waiting weeks for new lines.
Enhanced Call Quality
Purpose-built VoIP networks like My Country Mobile's optimize performance for voice. This delivers crystal clear call quality matching or exceeding traditional networks. Proprietary quality assurance technology guarantees a high-quality experience.
Improved Continuity
Carrier-grade redundant infrastructure prevents localized outages from interrupting service. Automatic failover to backup facilities results in maximum uptime and reliability.
Simplified Management
Wholesale termination consolidates all traffic onto a single platform. This eliminates complex billing from multiple providers. Usage dashboards also provide visibility into calling patterns.
For most organizations, the potential cost savings is the biggest driver for adopting wholesale voice termination. But the enhanced features and capabilities also deliver significant value.
How to Choose the Right Wholesale Termination Provider
Selecting the best partner is key to realizing the full benefits of wholesale voice termination. Here are important criteria to consider:
Network Quality – Look for providers that own end-to-end infrastructure designed specifically to optimize call quality rather than reselling through third parties.
Pricing – Compare per minute rates and be sure to factor in any additional fees like service charges or surcharges that can inflate costs.
Scalability – Evaluate ability to seamlessly scale capacity to handle unexpected spikes in call volumes.
Reliability – Look for geographically diverse networks with redundancy to guarantee uptime.
Features – More included capabilities like detailed call analytics and recording provides additional value.
Support – 24/7 local support is vital for a mission-critical service like voice.
Experience – Look for established players with a proven track record delivering wholesale voice termination.
Real-World Examples of Savings with Wholesale Termination
Here are examples of how two hypothetical businesses could benefit from partnering with My Country Mobile for wholesale voice termination:
Reducing Bills for a Multi-Location Dental Practice
Situation: This dental practice has 30 locations and spends $5,000 per month on voice services. They want to reduce costs without affecting quality.
Solution: By switching long distance calling to My Country Mobile's voice termination service, the dental practice saves 50% on those calls. This reduces their monthly voice spend by $1,500.
Benefits: $18,000 in annual savings, better call quality, simplified billing with one provider.
Enabling Rapid Growth for a Technology Startup
Situation: This fast-growing startup's customer service call volume has doubled. Wait times are increasing as their capacity maxes out.
Solution: The startup signs up for My Country Mobile's elastic voice termination. The company can now instantly add numbers and capacity in minutes to meet surges.
Benefits: Seamless scalability, no lost revenue from unanswered calls, gaining flexibility to support rapid growth.
These examples illustrate how companies with different needs can leverage wholesale voice termination as a solution. The potential cost savings and enhanced capabilities make it a valuable service.
Why Choose My Country Mobile for Wholesale Termination
My Country Mobile stands out as an ideal wholesale voice termination partner thanks to:
Cost-Effective Pricing – Per minute rates starting at $0.005 make them one of the most affordable providers.
Top-Tier Global Network – Their carrier-grade VoIP infrastructure provides great quality and reliability.
Innovative Features – Solutions like real-time analytics, call recording, and voicemail transcription add value.
Scalability – The platform scales seamlessly to handle large traffic spikes.
24/7 Support – In-house technical experts provide assistance around the clock.

Incumbent PC candidate Bloyce Thompson and NDP candidate Marian White are the only two candidates running in District 8: Stanhope-Marshfield, making it the only district on the Island with just two names on the ballot.
Thompson said he wasn't expecting to be running against just one other candidate.
"I was a little surprised, but I know it's a big commitment," he said. "A lot of people are surprised by it as well. But, you know, it's very positive there are two candidates on the ballot, so there is a choice."
White acknowledged it's a challenge taking on an incumbent but said Island New Democrats have already won by mounting a full slate of candidates this election.
"We're really making history here," she said. "I'm just shocked the other two parties didn't get the 27 candidates — I don't know what they've been doing for four years that they couldn't have come up with someone to put on a ballot. So my chances of winning? I think I've already won, but we'll know."
Stanhope-Marshfield is the only district left on the Island that can be considered a bellwether district, meaning the winning candidate there is always in the caucus of the winning party.
The district was realigned in 2019, absorbing the rural portions of former Tracadie-Hillsborough Park and York-Oyster Bed. Those districts were held by former Liberal premier Wade MacLauchlan and Liberal MLA Buck Watts.
In the last provincial election in 2019, Thompson defeated MacLauchlan — the sitting premier — with 39.5 percent of the vote.
But without a Liberal, Green, or Island Party candidate running this time, a vote against Dennis King's Progressive Conservative government in this district is a vote for the NDP.
"The challenge for me going up against one person and the incumbent is quite huge," White said.
"It's an opportunity for those Greens and the Liberals and others to lend me their vote if they want anyone but a Conservative … If you're not voting Tory, then come to me with your vote."
Thompson knows he won't have the advantage of multiple parties to split the vote for those who don't want to support the PCs, but says it hasn't changed how he's hitting the campaign trail. "I need 51 percent of the vote, but … we I've had some great conversations over the last couple of weeks," he said.
"We're gonna hit every door, talk to as many people as possible just to listen and hear what they have to say, and … I've got a great team around me, and it's full out."
Both candidates say they've heard similar issues out on the campaign trail. Health care is top of mind for many voters in the district, but so too are concerns around road safety and the loss of farmland in the area. "It's a bedroom community of Charlottetown almost, but we have all the three major industries — agriculture, fishing, and tourism, of course — so those three things are important," Thompson said.
"It's a growing community of those issues." But White said she's also heard from voters who weren't thrilled with the snap election call six months earlier than the fixed election date of October 2.
"People aren't with an election in the spring," she said. "Between frost and snow and mud, it's a terrible time for an election — unless you're the party in power and know for months in advance that you're calling a spring election."
Thompson said he and his rival she's a great candidate," he said. "The NDP seems to be organized and ready to go."

Firearms History, Technology & Development: March 2022
Tumblr media
In November of 1979, the Program in Science, Technology and Humanism and the Energy Committee of the Aspen Institute organized a conference on resolving the social, political, and institutional conflicts over the permanent siting of radioactive wastes. KPLU has good coverage over all of western Washington and, of course, you can hear them live on the web. This was bad for listeners and it won't happen at KPLU. I hope you will join me at KPLU on Fridays. I will be talking to Keith Seinfeld, an award-winning science journalist. His work has been honored by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the Knight Science Journalism Fellowships at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1897, they formed an American branch in conjunction with E.C. During major weather events, such as snowstorms and windstorms, I will be providing extra material on KPLU at other times and days. They do not need to change, but thanks to a privacy-preserving extension to the technical standard, most devices generate a new, random IPv6 address every few hours or days. And we need to move there as fast as possible. There were more colors and varieties at the store, but some were just color variations, and some were just smaller than others, so they didn’t seem to affect the sound, which is why Go picked these five.
The steel parts being harder, resist the acid better and retain their white color. But it gets better than that! Change is always hard, but I am convinced that this change is greatly for the better and will be a huge enhancement over what I was able to do at KUOW. The more collagen that you have on your skin, the better it is for the skin. Finding 카지노사이트 추천 to suit you is somewhat of a simple task, providing you know what you want to do. For a picture of her, check the link on the right. Check out here for some data. Cloud services: Most businesses no longer operate their own “server farms” to store massive amounts of data. My assertion is that it should be a natural progression of a finops program to review the core cloud solution architectures. Well, the passage through the core was very, very intense--with several g's up and down and even the coffee pot broke off in the rear of the aircraft. And even the district's best students have faired poorly in math and science. By every objective measure, the performance of less advantaged students (mainly in south-end schools) continue to slide against their north-end counterparts.
Pretty silly and this is what the incumbents are pushing for in Seattle Schools. Week after week my time would collapse to only a few minutes, pushing me to throw out important material I really cared about. What really get me excited is that my segment will be guaranteed a full five minutes, which will always be at the same time. And they will repeat this segment twice in the afternoon during All Things Considered. Many weeks, especially at the end, they ran out of time, moving me to the second hour or cancelling the whole segment. At the same time, the surveys suggest the adoption of some digital devices has slowed and even declined in recent years. It turns out the decision was made by a very young and inexperienced administrator (who oversees north-end principals) and the interim superintendent (Susan Enfield, whom the board should never make permanent) was unable to even admit a mistake was made. The KPLU folks are doing even more. Hence steel barrels became more and more popular as smokeless powder became prevalent. And the report describes a district administration without sufficient oversight from the School Board.
I have talked with each of them and they won't give the administration a pass when things go wrong and will ask questions, compared to the startling incurious current board majority. • It defines "energy-efficient mortgages" (with our favorite GSEs, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, so what could possibly go wrong?) that artificially boosts the income of the borrower based upon how much "green technology" is employed. Unfortunately, much of the technology has lost contact with its basic science. ASTC’ https://yhn707.com is to champion and support science and technology centers and museums and the entire science engagement field toward a vision of increasing understanding of and engagement with science and technology among all people. The highly popular and effective principal of Ingraham High School is removed and then rehired based on a huge outpouring of support by the community and school staff. A school board member (Peter Maier) learns about this scandal and does nothing. The school board says nothing. Enough is enough. In this election voter Seattle voters have an opportunity to remove poorly performing incumbent school board members (a.k.a. PS: If you are living in Seattle don't forget to vote for the Seattle School Board.

Develop A Effective Small Business Together With A Business Coach
Resources. When it is needed, your Business Coach/Advisor can provide referrals to contacts or resources for the business , such as for instance growth money, appropriate and accounting services, social networking marketing, systems, and different assets which are highly relevant to helping you match your targets and objectives. My view here's it is incumbent on a business coach and advisory to truly have a teaming or partnering viewpoint.
And it is essential in order for them to do this for the advantage of you, the tiny business owner. Objectivity. A Business Coach/Advisor gives you the necessary detachment to see your business since it actually is. That is required for a sincere evaluation of where your business is in their life cycle. Whenever you get accustomed to the same functions and techniques, jobs, standard schedule, you lose the ability to see your business with exactly the same goal quality that you after did.
Your Business Coach offers you a double perspective; considering your business from the customer perception, and seeking out at the client from your own perspective. And then offer you feedback about what operates, what doesn't and what your alternatives are. To work, weekly connection with your Coach can keep you on دوره کوچینگ کسب و کار .
Partnering with a Business Coach/Advisor ought to be on a retainer foundation for three to seven weeks, ultimately six months. It will normally have a excellent Business Coach/Advisor two months, sixty days, at least to become completely experienced in your business , their practices, your advantages, weakness, your perspective, and your objectives. Then another month to start working together with you to arrive at your business objectives.
While 90 days may be the minimal time necessary for an excellent Business Coach/Advisor to begin creating a huge difference under an individual retainer deal, seven months is the maximum under just one retainer deal, where half a year could be the optimal. During a six month retainer, a Business Coach/Advisor must manage to match all targets and devote to practice the important aspects that the little business needs to attain proper objectives.

TL; DR: Coinbase submitted a petition asking the SEC to start rulemaking on digital property securities. The existing guidelines for securities simply do not work for digital properties. Our petition gets in touch with the SEC to establish a practical regulative structure for digital property securities directed by official treatments and a public notice-and-comment procedure, instead of through approximate enforcement or assistance established behind closed doors. By Faryar Shirzad, Chief Policy Officer Today, there is a robust crypto market in the U.S. That market consists of countless various digital properties, crypto business, and decentralized monetary items, and is managed at every level of federal government, consisting of by numerous federal companies in the United States. Regardless of the development that has actually occurred in current years, close assessment exposes a glaring shortage in this market. Even with billions of dollars invested towards crypto development, and the passage of more than 13 years because the intro of Bitcoin, there is still no significant crypto securities market in the United States. Many aspects can favorably affect how an offered market establishes, however when it pertains to crypto securities there is a considerable, fundamental difficulty that has actually avoided that market from developing. That difficulty is the truth that the securities guidelines just do not work for digitally native instruments. They do not work for tokenized financial obligation. They do not work for tokenized equity. They do not work for crypto. Which's a significant issue. The repercussion is that the United States is falling back in digital property development. The majority of the digital properties traded today have the qualities of products, and in numerous circumstances, were particularly created to prevent the securities laws. Simply put, as the crypto market establishes, it is intentionally staying away from the securities market-- among the primary monetary markets in the United States. At Coinbase, our company believe that digital possession development provides a variety of extensive, market-enhancing advantages-- like actual time settlement, the capability to trade securely without requiring to go through expensive intermediaries, and a transparent record of all deals. The complete weight of those advantages will not come to pass if they are left out from a market as huge and impactful as the securities market. Crypto possessions that are securities require an upgraded rulebook to assist guide safe and effective practices. Crypto possessions that are not securities require the certainty of being outside those guidelines. Anything except that will have the impact of entrenching incumbent innovations at the cost of development and eventually, customers. That's why we have actually sent a petition to the SEC to ask for that it establish guidelines that work for digital possession securities. Here's a bit more on the issue as we see it, and how we wish to pursue a service: The Problem Modern securities law was taken into location by the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of1934 The most widely known securities are stocks and bonds, however the majority of other possessions that are thought about securities are categorized as such due to the fact that they are "financial investment agreements" or "notes." The Supreme Court stated how to identify whether a possession is a financial investment agreement or note in SEC v. W.J. Howey Co. and Reves v. Ernst & & Young The previous case produced a test for figuring out whether a possession is a financial investment agreement; the latter developed a test for identifying whether a property is a note. These tests play a big function today in examining whether a crypto possession is a security. It is typically challenging to identify what a jurist was believing when they prepared an offered piece of law, however I believe it is affordable
to presume that none of the authors who prepared these securities statutes from the 1930's, or the subsequent Supreme Court evaluates analyzing those statutes, did so while thinking about a day when a decentralized, cryptographically-based, automatic monetary instrument would be embraced en masse by countless individuals in the United States and around the globe. Put merely-- when these authors were composing guidelines to manage square pegs, they did not represent how those guidelines would affect the unforeseeable round holes of the future. Securities law is therefore not appropriate to govern digital properties. Tried application of such uncomfortable laws to crypto develops a variety of issues, consisting of: Lack of policy for the subset of crypto properties that are securities;-LRB- So lots of various actions and intermediaries that there is no chance trades can settle in genuine time;-LRB- It is successfully difficult for private financiers to trade straight, without utilizing a broker; and Blockchain innovation is unable, under the existing guidelines, to be utilized as a trustworthy record of deals, although this is the development that makes dispersed ledger innovation so effective. The SEC has actually so far hesitated to compose brand-new guidelines for crypto securities. Rather, the Commission just recently revealed that it will double the size of the enforcement system that manages crypto and cyber cases. This enforcement-first method has actually suppressed advancement of the crypto securities market and avoids business owners from utilizing crypto to raise cash for their business. It likewise avoids financiers from utilizing crypto to buy those endeavors. Perhaps worst of all, the SEC's method has actually produced massive threat for financiers. We saw this in vibrant information when the Commission brought an enforcement action versus Ripple, after years of taking no action versus them, declaring that XRP is a security. The worth of XRP dropped right away, costing financiers substantial amounts of cash. The XRP case is particularly noteworthy due to the fact that there was difference even within the federal government about whether XRP was a security or not: FinCEN had actually identified it was not a security, and after that the SEC stated that it was. If the SEC were to compose guidelines allowing the tokenization of securities, the chances for development would be substantial. The crypto markets might be broadened to use crypto securities, based on SEC policy and governance, thus providing financiers brand-new methods to purchase crypto. And opening financial obligation and equity securities to tokenization would promote performance and resiliency in conventional markets. But the SEC has actually refrained from doing this. While the SEC has actually declined to establish brand-new guidelines for digital property securities, numerous federal governments and other companies all over the world are well on their method to brand-new, practical crypto guidelines. The list is considerable, and consists of the European Union, United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, and Brazil. Action taken last month by the EU on their Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) guideline, for instance, shows the world's biggest economy-- comprised of 27 various nations-- putting in location a clear, detailed set of guidelines for crypto. We think the SEC needs to follow the lead of these jurisdictions by assisting to establish a robust and dynamic crypto securities market, with all of the exceptional defenses that financiers have actually pertained to anticipate from American monetary markets. That is why we submitted our petition with the SEC that demands such a rulemaking to occur. Coming Up With a Solution With this petition, we are asking the SEC to begin a procedure where the general public and crucial stakeholders can transparently offer input into the company's deal with crypto. We likewise hope the petition will release
a more comprehensive discussion where members of Congress-- a number of whom likewise see the requirement for the guidelines to progress-- will supply their views. Doing this right will assist to prevent one-off, approximate choices that offer little clearness or assistance to the market, and will rather lead to a clear set of detailed guidelines, just like crucial jurisdictions all over the world are pursuing. Coming up with such detailed guidelines will need a real assessment of how crypto works in a different way from standard monetary securities and what arrangements would really secure financiers who sell crypto securities. That evaluation ought to take a look at present crypto trading. Crypto trades in a different way from securities in a variety of methods, and these distinctions should be weighed when composing guidelines for crypto securities. Think about: Traditional monetary exchanges like the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ have actually set trading hours, however crypto trades 24/ 7/365 While standard monetary exchanges need that financiers trade through the services of a broker, crypto lets you purchase, offer, and trade possessions straight, without going through an intermediary. Finally, standard securities exchanges just trade securities; they do not trade products or any other kind of possessions. Crypto financiers look for to trade throughout kinds of tokens-- purchasing stablecoins to shop worth, and after that purchasing other crypto with those stablecoins, for instance-- all on one platform. This type of trading is not acknowledged under existing guidelines for securities exchanges, however might provide remarkable capital performance gains. Another method crypto is various from stock market involves custody-- or how securities need to be held and protected by brokers and exchanges. Traditional securities deals are allowed approximately 2 days to settle. This hold-up is developed to accommodate trades going through a variety of intermediaries prior to the securities are lastly in the hands of the purchaser, and the money with the seller. Utilizing existing innovation, these intermediaries are required to assist ensure a trade goes through as guaranteed. The purchaser needs to really pay the cash, the seller should really quit the possessions, the trade should be appropriately tape-recorded, and there should not be any mistakes or unapproved actions. The broker likewise needs to hold the securities in a specific method to make sure that it has "ownership" and "control" over the properties. These guidelines guarantee that the broker keeps the consumer possessions securely, and likewise guarantees that the broker finishes client trades properly. This system of intermediaries, and the particular custody guidelines governing them, stop working to utilize the advantage of blockchain innovation and do not work for crypto: First, crypto financiers anticipate trades to occur within seconds-- among the crucial developments of crypto. The existing guidelines have too lots of actions to enable for instant settlement. Second, in order for trades to occur that quick, the securities and the cash need to be held by the exchange so the exchange can effect the deal as quickly as it takes place. A crypto exchange can not custody possessions the very same method that a broker can and still effect an instant trade. Finally, the guidelines for how to keep possessions safe-- to reveal ownership and control-- are based upon how you would keep a stock or bond safe, not how you may hold a personal secret for crypto securities. Let's Work Together on This Solution Coinbase thinks that reliable guideline advantages everybody-- purchasers, sellers, exchanges, and the U.S. monetary system. The SEC has a long history of producing and implementing guidelines that have actually made it possible for the advancement of deep, liquid, and transparent capital markets in the U.S. These markets have, in turn, sustained extraordinary development
and assisted business owners construct business that have actually changed the lives of billions of individuals. Thankfully, the SEC will not need to go back to square one when determining how to progress. We set out the concerns that we believe the Commission ought to be asking stakeholders and itself in figuring out the ideal course forward-- our petition was composed with the input of a few of the very best securities attorneys and financial experts in the nation. If the Commission begins an open procedure where everyone can offer input, we eagerly anticipate sharing our ideas on how to respond to the essential concerns our petition raises, and we would motivate others to do the very same. We might not concur every action of the method, however it's important that this is an open and transparent procedure, where the general public has an opportunity to use their views. Policymaking at this level is far too essential to be made in a black box. Crypto represents the next wave of development within the marketplaces themselves-- and whatever nation motivates that development while likewise keeping financiers safe will gain huge advantages. We require the SEC to when again compose the guidelines that will release the capacity of U.S. capital markets, this time sustained by the advantages supplied by crypto. If they do not, others will-- and the U.S. might not have the ability to capture up. Read More

The Prons And Also Cons to Replace A LED Headlight
Today's best-led headlight is a great piece of innovation meant for use by both car and also truck motorists. The new led innovation works with less energy eaten. When searching for a substitute headlight light bulb, if you intend to truly obtain some even more value in terms of lighting, choose updated front lights light bulbs. You need a higher presence quotient when you are driving on dark roads. This updating is vital for your safety and security. LED stands for light emitting diode as well as they have several advantages over basic glass bulbs. It is easy for you to enhance your headlight lights into a whole lot more luminescent LED ones. Longer life-span for LED The typical life-span of LED bulbs is around 50,000 hours, which is greater than the lifecycle of the car itself. This is about 7.2 times a lot more compared to halogen light bulbs. 200 percent brighter than conventional halogen light bulbs.
Tumblr media
Much better power to light They produce a greater light output contrasted to traditional incandescent lights since a greater percentage of their radiation is visible light as opposed to warmth. High illumination A set of led high power light bulbs must feature twelve items of top high lighting as well as top-notch CSP chips. They're not only mosting likely to outcome a very brilliant light, but likewise last for a long time. Regard to the element about 5th Gen Chevy Camaro projector headlights, If you still do not have ideas, you can get more tips here. Beam pattern Unlike the huge majority of LED conversion set I have actually seen corrected the years, the beam of light control of LED conversion package currently isn't really negative. This is quite the enhancement over the supply version as well as provides automobile owners the freedom as well as choice on exactly how to customize their front headlights. Place The revolution of LED lights was likewise boosted by efficiency improvements, a sharp cost decrease, a rather short replacement cycle for incumbent technologies, and aggressive federal government plan assistance. Their efficiency is relatively better when contrasted to the conventional Xenon and Halogen front lights. Considering that they barely create any warm, they do not negatively affect the headlight housing. Safe, No Glow They do not create any kind of glow. Extra notably, the bulbs meet road safety and security requirements. The key to reliable LED headlights is not simply the power of the LED chips. Without proper light bulb style, LED replacement light bulbs will certainly not concentrate the light in the front lights setting up correctly to increase the light outcome without causing glare. Installing these headlights is not an uphill struggle as their setup needs devices that are conveniently available and very easy to deal with. The problem here is that gradually, our contemporary wiring systems are unqualified the job of delivering present (power) called for to properly run higher wattage light bulbs. The light that is generated by an LED bulb is much less conscious a modification in voltage and also existing. To go outside or when driving, we have to examine that all the components and also devices remain in good condition. The light bulbs of our cars and trucks are not eternal, and also we need to change them periodically. It is necessary to regularly examine the state of its lighting to stay clear of feasible trouble.

Which New Business Models Will Be Unleashed By Web 3.0?
Tumblr media
There are numerous benefits to embracing Web 3.0, but it also has its drawbacks. While it has the potential to transform the way people use the internet, it may also lead to more traditional revenue streams. Here are five new business models that may emerge from Web 3.0. Using blockchain will give users control over the data that they share and who they allow to see it. NFTs will become prominent for brand awareness and promoting products, while Web 3.0 will make the internet accessible to more people.
The first pillar of Web 3.0 is the Semantic Web, which allows the internet to act as a database. This type of database will enable Web 3.0 platforms to process data in a human-like fashion and to communicate with users in their native language. This type of web platform will be able to respond to user preferences by constantly learning from them. Several platforms already utilize this technology.
Blockchain and distributed ledgers are two examples of technologies that are likely to be the next big thing. Blockchain can help us subvert surveillance, centralisation, and exploitative advertising. It will also make it easier to create non-fungible tokens. By combining these technologies, Web 3.0 is expected to make the Internet more open and free for everyone. So, how do we prepare for this new era?
As the Web becomes increasingly decentralized, many applications can access content and services from multiple sources. This has the potential to upset the status quo. As such, decentralized projects in traditional industries may disrupt the revenue models of their incumbents. Meanwhile, some industries are experimenting with new funding models. A revenue-sharing model uses profits to enable actors to develop efficiencies and innovate in mutually beneficial ways.
Blockchain and other cryptographic technologies are key to Web 3.0. Cryptography will connect machines, individuals, and corporations. This is sure to lead to new markets and business models. As businesses begin to embrace web 3.0, they will be in a good position to take advantage of this opportunity. If you are a business owner, this is a great opportunity for you. All you need to do is to keep your eyes open and learn about the latest technologies. You'll be glad you did.
Platform models: The platform model is still widely used for exchanges and marketplaces, and it has been successful. Market makers rely on fees for a portion of the transactions to generate revenue. However, in Web 3.0, users will also be able to split tips with multiple actors. As such, there is a huge potential to expand the number of payment models. You can use blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies to develop new payment methods.
Blockchain: The blockchain is also transforming the marketing world. Blockchain-based browsers, such as Brave, will block all advertisements by default and reward users for choosing the ads that they want to see. Many digital marketers are worried about wasting their money by allowing bots to click their ads. Blockchain will solve this problem by monitoring digital ads on decentralized servers. By enabling this, the internet will be able to track their effectiveness and ensure that they're not wasted.

Highest recommendation.
"Two factors perpetuate white male control over virtually every lever of US government: the huge advantage enjoyed by incumbents, and the Republican party’s continued focus on mostly white male candidates.
"As the US barrels toward a minority-white population within a matter of decades, some believe elected officials will inevitably become more diverse. But that logic is flawed: women have always been half of the country, and they are still chronically underrepresented in government.
"Meanwhile, politicians who currently hold office can make election laws and draw districts in their favor. This legislative cycle, Republican state lawmakers have devised a barrage of new voter restrictions that have targeted left-leaning communities, vulnerable voters and people of color.
"'It’s no accident that the pursuit of antidemocratic measures is happening in this moment of really profound demographic change,' Choresi Carter said. 'The fact that it’s in that context that efforts to make the United States even less democratic than it already is are happening, that’s not a coincidence.'
..."Another obstacle to a more representative government comes from the Republican establishment, which does not run candidates reflective of the nation. In the 2020 primaries, 93% of Republican candidates were white, and fewer than one in four were women.
"Democratic candidates, on the other hand, were 44% women and 32% people of color – still shy of a one-to-one match with the country’s overall demographics, but far more inclusive than the GOP’s virtual erasure of entire communities.
"That partisan divide – plus the incumbency problem – bolster a cycle where commonsense policies supported by the majority of Americans make little headway, including popular solutions such as gun control, automatic voter registration and universal pre-K education.
"'We have this incredibly limited perspective represented in the halls of power when these decisions are being made,' Choresi Carter said.
"'And most Americans don’t share that experience, and actually, you know, want different outcomes than they’re seeing.'"
Move against every obstacle put in place by Republicons and vote for Democrats. Create a historic 2022 Blue Wave. Make Manchin and Sinema irrevant, giving actual Democrats actual control, rather than a bare, minute, intensely vulnerable numerical majority.
Americans will see the outcomes the majority have wanted.

https://equalizersoccer.com/2021/03/05/christen-press-forward-position-training-profile-uswnt/
Christen Press is known for scoring world-class goals. The onlooking public swoons over the final product which is so often a picturesque finish bent into the side netting or hammered into the upper corner. Press often does this with such confidence that she makes the extraordinary look easy, even though it is anything but.
That final product, though, is in some ways the simpler part of the process. Press’ training habits and approach to the game embody the notion that most of an athlete’s work is done away from the public eye, on training fields and when nobody else is watching. Her unique approach to the game starts with individual training, where her focus on off-ball movement and manipulating tight spaces — rather than shooting for the sake of it, or individual dribbling drills — develops her ability to distinguish herself from any other forward. More than most, she can seamlessly transition between wide and center-forward roles.
“I think especially in the U.S., we don’t have as many players that manipulate space with off-ball movement,” Press said in an interview last year. “[It’s] something I learned in Europe and I think all European forwards do this, but we don’t often have players who do that. We typically have had players who are using strength to create space. So, I think when I play in the nine specifically, but even wide, my strength is off-ball movement, being very unpredictable, hard to mark, being dynamic and being kind of like blindside, off-ball so that I’m always stretching the line. And I think that’s a huge strength because it gives the midfield more room to play.”
All goal-scorers require a certain level of selfishness to be successful, which Press recognizes. What sets her apart is the execution in those moments. To paraphrase her teammate, Megan Rapinoe, you can always make a selfish decision to shoot and not pass… as long as you score.
“In the final third, I think I’ve always had a goal-scorer’s mentality,” Press said. “Once I’m in range of shooting, I don’t think about anything else. If I happen to pass, it’s because I couldn’t have shot. And I think that there’s a breed of players that are just wired that way. And then there’s a breed of players that play the same position that aren’t. I am wired like that, and there’s also pros and cons to it, but my first thought is always setting my feet to score, setting my feet to take a touch and then score. And then anything else that happens in that space is just a second option, honestly.”
***
Press blazed her own path to being a United States women’s national team regular. She left the U.S. club scene in 2012 to play in Sweden, feeling as though she needed to make a change after largely being left out of the U.S. picture by then head coach Pia Sundhage. Her back story has been recounted ad nauseam over the past decade, but it is still essential to understanding the person and the player – a do-everything forward who has been shaped by these experiences. Her path is unique among her peers of the same generation, and it shows in her different approach to playing forward.
Press famously thrived in Gothenburg, becoming the first American to win the Damallsvenskan’s golden boot. That move abroad — at a time when U.S. internationals not only were not playing abroad, but were actively discouraged from doing so — ironically solidified her place in the United States team ever since. Her goal in last month’s SheBelieves Cup against Argentina was her 60th, tying her with Shannon MacMillan for ninth in U.S. history.
Press grew up as a pure No. 9, a goal-scorer. She carried on with that through college, lighting up the scoring record books at Stanford, and used that to her advantage during that glorious first stretch of her career in Sweden. Cracking the national team was a different story. Abby Wambach was the incumbent No. 9 at the time, often alongside Amy Rodriguez, and Alex Morgan — who graduated college the same year as Press — burst onto the scene as the U.S.’ up-and-coming No. 9, meaning Press was often relegated to wide positions.
For a long time, Press’ place there felt shoehorned, no doubt a contributing factor to a relatively quiet World Cup in 2015, when she was pegged by so many to be the breakout star. Slowly, however, she adapted, choosing to accept whichever role she was given if it meant playing for the best team in the world. Now, she thrives in both wide and central roles. The difference was tangible at the 2019 World Cup, where the wide role which once looked so uncomfortable for Press was the one which she stepped into for the semifinal against England, due to Megan Rapinoe’s injury. Press scored 10 minutes into that impromptu start, helping the U.S. reach (and win) a second straight final.
“I think that I have more of a responsibility than any other forward to play in all the roles as needed and I think that’s historically been because I’ve been a substitute coming on,” she said. “So, you kind of have to be ready for whoever’s coming out; you’re the first sub on. And now, I think it’s just flexibility because I’ve done it and I’ve done it okay in several positions that everyone’s like, ‘oh, well she can.’ So, I think that’s a blessing and a curse. It gets you on a roster to be versatile, but I feel like having a stake on the field is like you’re in one position and you’re always going to show up in that position. I think that that has its pros as well.”
Today, it is accepted as fact that Press can play across all three positions on the front line: center forward, wide left and wide right. For years, that versatility was a burden she carried, a struggle through the purgatory of being an elite player without a defined position. Now, however, she has leveraged this to her advantage. Press has for so long juggled different forward positions that she has mastered each of them. Her lack of a defined position contributes to the outside world’s inability to explicitly qualify her greatness, but it is also the very thing which makes Press such a singular talent.
Her shift throughout the front line illustrates how the forward position varies between certain roles, even if in nuanced ways. Press said the definitions are a little more blurred in this system, and that each forward shares the responsibility to get in behind and score, but the physical difference in where each position lines up on the field affects how she plays each position.
“I think technically it is very different playing in the different positions, because your orientation is just completely changed,” she said. “And I think my whole career, I played with the offside line behind me. That’s a nine. So, playing wide for the first time was really hard because you see the whole game through one eye. And your dominant foot and your mobility of your hips — I know it sounds crazy — really affects what you can and can’t do on each side. But now I’ve been passed around so many times, I feel like I’m like, okay, my second eye is — I can still see out of this one.”
***
Press views each offseason as a little book of its own. In past years, she would write a draft of what those figurative chapters would be, listing the things she wanted to improve in her game and designing drills to achieve those goals. Press said that she has had trainers in the past, but nobody knows what she needs better than her.
She tries to balance the design of her training sessions to work on skills she thinks she is exceptional at and areas where she thinks she is not very good. Anything in between gets lost. This is where those subtle foundations are formed daily.
“I have a very regimented way that I train, a flow of when I control practice, this is how it flows,” Press said. “Within each segment of my training, I’ll have specific things that I’m working on, and always starting in the beginning of training with the most simple drills that you would never actually see a professional do —really, really childish and then just working on the mechanics and growing from there.”
Press points to quick-release shooting as one of these simple things she trains: she starts as basic as lining up a bag of balls on the six-yard line and quickly shooting with only one step, to work on generating power. Press executes this better than any other teammate and that is because she has, through the years, taken what is seemingly a disadvantage and figured out a way to create an advantage out of it.
Instead of viewing the ball as stuck under her feet, Press sees an opportunity to catch a defender between steps or a goalkeeper flat-footed. Whereas many forwards are especially dangerous when barreling down the field at speed, Press might be the best goal-scorer in the world from a standing-still position in open play. She trains that — again, by beginning simply. Press will line up a bag of balls on the six-yard line and shoot in quick succession, taking only one step back to reset. This is the foundation of generating power.
“I think that if I look through the years [at] the space I train in, it’s in that exact ‘D,’” she said, referencing the arch at the top of the 18-yard box. “And I think the way that you most often score there is using your defenders as a shield and a little bit into negative space, and then bending the ball. I think that’s absolutely my best way of scoring.
“And I think that’s because of my strengths. I can get into the pocket with speed often. I don’t actually like dribbling around defenders very much. I don’t practice dribbling so I’ve got one way to get by them, but I often work on manipulating my defenders so they can’t block my shot, rather than working on manipulating them so I can get by them. And I think that’s why then I developed a shot that I can take basically with the ball under my feet and generate a lot of power, because it’s unexpected for the goalkeeper and it’s out of reach for the defender.”
Training this type of skill is very intentional. Even on a field by herself, with no active defenders, Press knows that if she takes four steps before a shot, she has failed. In a game, with real defenders, she will have been tackled or her shooting window will have closed.
Soccer is about a feeling, Press says. U.S. Soccer sends film to players after each training session so they can self-evaluate. Press says she does not look at how she performed technically, but rather what her body language said about her approach to a given training session.
She has not gone without dry spells or rough patches, from the more subtle grind of transitioning to wide roles and changing teams, to the more obvious and overt moments, such as the penalty-kick shootout miss in the 2016 Olympic quarterfinal against Sweden.
There is a notion that forwards need short memories, to not dwell on such misses. Press said she views things slightly differently, borrowing some inspiration from fellow teammates.
“I think instead of even a short memory, I always told myself since I was a young person: the more I miss, the closer I am to my next goal,” she said. “Because it’s almost like once you play long enough, you’ve missed so many times that it’s no longer emotional. I guess a certain miss in a certain moment might be, but even those, I’ve done it; I’ve missed as bad as you can miss and I’ve let the team [down]. So, life goes on and I feel like if I’m in a game and I’ve missed an easy goal, that means the next one, I’m gonna score. Because I’ve missed a million easy goals before, and I’ve always scored again. So, that’s kind of how I approach it and I actually think I see this a bit in Carli [Lloyd]. If she ever misses an easy chance, she kind of becomes ravenous. She hunts and hunts because she wants to replace that memory with something else, and I try to even embody that a bit, where I’m even more hungry in the final part of that field.”
Lloyd and Press combined for a goal against England at the 2020 SheBelieves Cup. The play was a microcosm of all these things: Press intentionally drifting into open space on the opponent’s back line before receiving the ball, opening her hips to face up to goal in one fluid motion, and firing a quick shot which caught England’s defenders and goalkeeper by surprise. The camera angle from behind Press showed just how much the ball bent to tuck into the side netting. ESPN announcer Sebastian Salazar screamed a phrase which quickly made its way to a t-shirt: “Christen Press, what have you done?!”
It was another spectacular goal from Press, one worthy of all the plaudits it received. What had she done? Well, it was the same she has been doing for a long time, drifting between forward positions and scoring a noteworthy goal from skills she has developed away from the public eye."
