another lobcorp ramble, but this time about... *gasp* THE GAMEPLAY

i feel like people REALLY overhype how annoying some abnos can be.

Nothing There? More like Nothing Problem. As in, if you have any employee with Fort, Temp, and Just V, as well as half-decent Red resistance, you can literally work with it until its Qliphoth Overload is at like -12%. In fact, I think the highest I’ve ever had it go was -24% and I was still doing okay work on it.

Queen of Hatred? Yeah she kinda sucks if you get her early but... execution bullets go brrrrrrrrrrr.

CENSORED? Level V employee with max Prudence, Attachment, and then even okay Black resistance go BRRRRRRRR.

I know it seems like these requirements are insane, but they really... aren’t? I never had problems getting employees with V in at least 3 stats by the time ALEPHs start becoming common. Though I suppose if you don’t have the equipment for good resistances it can kinda suck. But there’s pretty decent HE and WAW armors that give good Red and Black resistance.

And Silent Orchestra? Just dedicate a day to grinding it and then never touch it again. Sure it’s annoying to have it constantly breach, but it can’t get past Movement 2 if you just dogpile the whole facility on its ass. So basically, if you spend even a little time preparing, it isn’t very bad at all.

The Silent Orchestra (Yandere)

I cannot seem to stop thinking about the Silent Orchestra.

I see them as being the most poetic of all the ALEPHs as Yanderes, purely because there is no winning for both them and their Darling Agent. Because when one is the Composer, the Player, and Conductor for the end of the world, there is bound to be conflicts in interests with their very human, very much living Darling.

To finally release someone from their worldly worries and hardships by playing one last show befor before they depart. That is their reason for existing, and the Conductor sees to it that they do this in a way worthy of applause. Should the Conductor get what he wants, the Agent will die no matter what. To bring about the end to all things is their purpose, and their Darling is no exception. If anything, that only adds more fuel to the fire.

Death was the only way to fix what they did wrong. Surely, their Beloved deserved this much.

And if this Darling had any ounce of self-preservation..?

The Agent might feel sympathy, or even reciprocate their feelings of love and care. But what did that matter? So long as they continued refusing to listen to their music, continued depriving them of the applause or the smallest sliver of attention, all the human would be able to do was hurt them.
