Kissing

Practice makes perfect.

Kankri’s a pretty good kisser -- sometimes too sheepish or too chaste, and very rarely too aggressive, but he usually strikes a good balance.

Video games

Really not great.

Certain games, he’s suited for -- turn-based strategies and RPGs, for instance. However, Kankri has a habit of taking everything too seriously, and is easily frustrated -- not only by his own failings, but by decisions made in the game’s writing or world-building.

He really only plays video games with other people, and even then it’s very rare.

Singing

Kankri is a surprisingly good singer. However, he does very little practicing, as showing that much emotion or connection with a song makes him feel vulnerable and uncomfortable.

Dancing

Slow: sure!

Fast: oh good god no.

Playing an instrument

Kankri has expressed a small interest in the violin, but he has never learned. With time, he could be quite proficient.

Taking care of living things

Kankri has always been good with taking care of things smaller than himself, though he hadn’t had much experience before his wigglers. He’s always been gentle with small animals, and would be attentive enough to take good care of a plant. Having wigglers has made him even more focused on this sort of responsibility.

Surviving in the wilderness

Kankri is adequate in this regard.

He knows more survival skills than may be immediately apparent, and is fully capable of sustaining himself in the wild for a long period of time. However, he is accustomed to a higher standard of living, and would not consider himself at all ‘at home’ in the wilderness.

Fighting

Kankri is a very skilled fighter, particularly considering his weekly (and often even more frequent) spars with Dave. He prides himself on being more formidable than he outwardly appears; this is a skill he had to acquire, even before sGrub, to feel like he had any worth at all.

The societal pressure of being an off-spectrum troll particularly pushed the development of this skill to the top of his priority list -- because he was expected to be weak and helpless, he made sure to make it so that he was far from it.

Following rules

Kankri follows rules that he likes, or rules that would result in sufficiently unfavourable consequences for him if he broke them, compared to the possible gain. Generally, he doesn’t find reason to break rules, and is excellent in listening to instruction so long as he has respect for the instructor -- but he’s not opposed to going his own way if the rules prove unsatisfying.

Cooking

He’s decent, but his repertoire is composed of only a few recipes, and he barely practices at all.

Taking care of children

Kankri is a fantastic parent, full stop.

Kankri’s most notable fault here is that he can be _too_ doting, and _too_ protective. As his wigglers grow up, he will most likely find that he has trouble adjusting to the responsibilities they will take from him and place upon themselves -- and trusting the judgement of his children will grow hard for him.

Romance/flirting

Terrible.

Kankri is attuned to one person, and one person only: Dave. With Dave, he’s perfect.

Kankri can be a talented flirt otherwise, but only ever accidentally -- with any element of seriousness in the mix, Kankri turns into an awkward, heavy-handed mess.

Though some people do find that sort of puppy dog, tripping-over-yourself romance to be endearing.

Knowledge of the world

Fantastic.

Kankri consumes knowledge as quickly as he can, about a great variety of topics, and he doesn’t limit himself to Skaia. He is eager to learn about other worlds, other planets, other countries, throughout the multiverse.

Of course, there are still frequent gaps -- but comparatively, he does quite well for someone who does not travel.

Sweet Dreams }I{

When he touches down on the floor of the bedroom, there’s a brief moment where his feet don’t quite register the firm ground beneath them and he stumbles. Thankfully his wings are there to correct this error, dashing a few feathers across the carpet but assuring that at least it’s not his face eating the rug. 

Taking several breaths to orient himself he quickly sweeps a glance across to the bed, waiting until the slight foggy dizziness fades enough to let him gauge the situation on the bed. Neither brother seems to have awoken. Good. Releasing a relieved little sigh Blukat carefully pads his way over to the mattress, dismissing his wings as he clambers in between the two slumbering trolls. But he doesn’t lay down, not right away.

Instead he simply kneels there, letting his eyes paint themselves across both their faces. The lingering traces of the nightmare still cling at the back of his consciousness, of a different time, a different place -- bloody seats and empty eyes. A memory long past, now, but still not long enough.

Shaking his head he clears the last threads curling in his mind, replaced instead by the soft rise and fall of his two most important peoples chests. Finally he lays down, reaching to either side in order to claim one of each set of hands. 

Closing his eyes he smiles, and lets the familiar rhythm of their pulses sooth him to sleep.
