based on this scene being right at the start here, this episode is definitely gonna be the one where he properly realises his feelings for sailom (if he hasn't realised them already, which I dont think he has. he hasn't accepted it, at least)

AND BASED ON THAT LOGIC, generally the way these writers and directors etc base these ones, they fully lean into the fell first / fell harder dynamic, and almost immediately after the second person realises, they kiss

SO im very much hoping for a kiss at the end of this episode (but it also might not be til next episode)

Dangerous Romance, Ep. 5 Thoughts

There were a couple cute moments, but for the most part, another unremarkable episode.

My current thoughts are primarily rooted around the following:

Marc and Pawin seem to have the stronger, more legible chemistry than Perth and Chimon in even just the thirty seconds of screen time they have together. Some of this is probably actor comfortability, but what I think I am noticing that is throwing me off of Perth and Chimon's chemistry is honestly primarily in the timing and the framing. The timing is just a little bit off, the camera doesn't linger quite long enough to establish the tension, the background music either. When Marc and Pawin's characters shake hands in the basketball scene, you can see both the challenge in their eyes, and also they cut back to their hands two or three separate times and you can see the force/grip strength tightening.

I think Perth is doing better than Chimon at playing the chemistry when they are actually face to face, but that Chimon has a lot of fantastic reactions to everything going on outside of having to look Perth in the eye. That said, their chemistry is definitely much stronger now than it was in Never Let Me Go. I feel like another contribution to the chemistry problem for me is that they are trying to have Kang and Sailom be Boys the way that Pat and Pran were Boys aka, they are fighting/wrestling all the time, but there is not enough established underlying sexual tension and history between them and the timing isn't where it needs to be to be able to recreate the "this wrestling is flirting" vibe.

If ViewJune are set up to be in a relationship, I am dropping the show. Not because I don't love View and June, (I am very much looking forward to seeing them play off each other in 23.5 degrees) but because June is playing a teacher in this show, and while I will tolerate a student's unrequited crush on a teacher, I despise student/teacher requited relationship plots

I am still disappointed they have put all these really juicy plots to the side to instead give us a fucking love triangle. Especially because they have some powerhouse fucking actors headlining this show, (if you haven't watched View in 10 Years Ticket, go do it). Chimon is fantastic in Home School. Perth was strong in NLMG imo, but I know he's in other things I haven't seen. They can do complicated dynamics, they are all good enough actors to navigate all those complexities and I do not feel like they are being allowed to play in that space, and instead the writers are playing it safe with the script.

They are using too many flashbacks to "sweet moments" that I just don't think we've really earned yet, and I am still having trouble seeing where the writers are trying to go with this show considering how many interesting plots they rushed past.

I'm still sad thinking about what this show could have been, especially considering that there has been a massive wave of strong, complex stories coming out of Thai BLs this year.

Predictions

Based off what artists have leaked + reddit detectives + my general delusions: (first 5 with asterisks are ones i'm extra excited for!!! :D)

**firstkhao mafia romcom directed by p'jojo - fk have a series confirmed by khao himself, and all their interactions with p'jojo ever since that first sus ig story makes this one almost 100% confirmed for me (maybe not all the details exactly, but fk with p'jojo at the very least).

**estwilliam cp debut - ALL THE DETECTIVE WORK HAS CONVINCED ME, after greatinn and thorfluke were successfully sussed out before part 1, i have faith that this is gonna come true too 🙏

**KRISTSINGTO COMEBACK - YOU DON'T JUST BRING BACK SINGTO WITHOUT EVERYONE CALLING FOR THIS and there's nothing gmmtv loves more than the big bucks so we all know this is happening 😌

**bounprem's vampire project reannounced (possibly with a new trailer) - i think this one's a given and probably why bp will be there. i'm not sure how long this whole sws gmmtv overhaul has been in the works for, so i dont know whether they'd have filmed a new trailer or not, but i'm expecting some more gmmtv artists to be added to the cast as well.

**new perthchimon bl - i hate myself for not staying up to date enough on perthchimon news lately😭 but i swear someone somewhere strongly hinted at it ???

new joongdunk bl (more adult setting??) - again, i swear i saw someone somewhere confirming/hinting at this, but idk

At least 1 more gl announced - 23.5 is going pretty well and i think they're gonna keep trying it out (emibonnie? viewjune? janjane?)

lego lykn's acting debut + mark pakin main role - As confirmed by the people themselves in livestreams (just grouping them together for shits and giggles lol) also leads me to think some of the other lykn members might dip into acting? 👀

gemini in a het series (with prim or a newbie) - definitely expecting non-bl works for both gemini and fourth, and i've been seeing stuff about geminiprim?? 👀

Wishlist

perthchimon non-school bl directed by p'aof - i will happily take them in whatever capacity we get but i'd love to see them with p'aof in a more mature setting + with a solid good plot

perth in a bl with a different cp partner - i love perthchimon and i love dangerous romance with all my heart, but i also love mixing and matching all the blorbos and i'd love to see perth opposite some others (gmmtv would give us ohmperth if they weren't cowards)

more plot-heavy bls where romance isn't necessarily the main thing - i want to see some less tropey works, where the non-romance plot is more the main focus of the the show

midnight museums s2 - this is not in a million years happening, but a girl can dream 😭😭

dark romance/something more gritty - honestly thing gmmtv does best with their lighter shows, which is why i think it'd be interesting to see them branch out a bit more

another bounprem bl 🤪 - this probably wouldn't have even happened before the gmmtv switch, and don't think it's gonna happen now, but bp are my day 1s and i'm always gonna root for them, solo or together 🥹🥹💞

sports bl !!!! - i've been on a sports drama kick lately, and gmmtv has plenty of sporty people, so make it happen!!

a proper enemies to lovers bl (WITHOUT a childhood meeting reveal) - i need them to truly DESPISE each other's guts before they get together

heartliming spinoff 🫡 - geminifourth's best work imo and i don't think anything will ever beat it for me <3 it would make for such a good show if it's executed well (i have full faith in gem4th and p'aof), it's been too long now, but i would actually die if this happened

a platonic friendship-based show - i just wanna see a really good friendship group (which we can make gay in the headcanons anyway lol) and put them in situations, whether it be crime fighting, trouble making or anything in between honestly

be gay do crime - need i say more? (why are half of my wishes lowkey the same thing reworded 💀)

lmaooo, tbh I think offview are done & buried since viewjune are huge & also the age gap is slightly insane 😅 as for offkapook, I 100% agree that they NEED a show!!! they're friends irl & have been in 2 shows together already, and the visuals would be unmatched! I've wanted offkapook to happen for at least 3 years now lol. but for this role I feel like they were looking for someone who can play a little more of a klutz & I don't really see kapook doing all that. jorin being his pairing is still exciting though bc she's from the biggest girl band in thailand, 4eve! hopefully her stans make this show at least a bit popular lol, and I think she's right for the role :)

hi!! what are your wishes for gmmtv part 2??? :)

hi anon! funny you ask this bc i started filling my bingo card as soon as i saw the news that part two will (possibly) happen two tuesdays from now. this got too long, so i put it under read more.

for starters, of course, firstkhaotung's new series. this is what i'm looking forward the most since they fooled us during part 1. i really need to see them getting on that stage to announce a series instead of school rangers. mafia or romcom or mafia romcom, i don't care. i know they can pull it off whatever they give them (though i hope they finally graduate, or at least don't make them high schoolers again. i'm sorry, i'm not on the the eclipse s2 bandwagon).

still in the fk area, i'm hoping they'll get solo acting projects, too. give them all the acting gigs. make first tay tawan's brother, let khaotung act with his beloved p'gun!

i'm hoping for more gls, foolishly. i saw on twitter, i think, that chaoplanoy (who wrote gap) rted the date that part 2 will happen soon and apparently gmm has the rights of one of her novels (us) since 2022? so maybe that's finally coming.

i really just wanna see more gmm girls getting the spotlight bc i don't think we appreciate them enough, but they are like good good! so fingers crossed that maybe, at least two more gls will come out this year (bc i'm gready).

also, i'm now a devote of the words of viewjune. their chemistry is amazing and their acting is also so good (i talked before about how view has blown me away with aylin), so genuinely, i hope we get another show with them as protagonists.

i really need force to portray a character like akk from enchante again, so maybe another forcebook romcom (i think they excel in that genre, it fits both force and book so well).

i'm hoping for another earthmix series, too, since mix is finishing school soon, but who knows really.

now, this isn't exactly a wish, but apparently mark finished filming the mock trailer of the series he's going to be the protagonist of, and many people think that's the beginning of the markohm era (?) so i hope that's true and he's not just teasing us. mark surprised me a lot in last twilight (the one person i didn't get angry at in that show), so i'll take everything they give us with him.

so long story short, anon (sorry about that), fk's series + solo acting projects for them both, more gls, forcebook romcom, more gls, viewjune mains in a series, more gls, earthmix, more gls.

thank you for asking, btw. it's the first time anyone has asked me anything of the sorts (you can see i got a little excited hence the length of this answer), so i was glad externalizing my wishes.
