Eric's Top 10 Outfits

(in my humble opinion)

This is a post I was meant to make ages ago, but anyway. (At least technically it's out before the end of 2023...)

Although I get the feeling some people may not like a pick or two, let's get to it.

10. Grand Wizard King

Ever since I saw that outfit in The Stick of Truth I fell in love with it. I love the color scheme and the staff he carries. Also the cape. Gives him a more regal appearance.

9. Swimsuit

Eric in a swimsuit. Need I say more? I just think he looks adorable and the flowery pattern is pretty cute.

8. Purple Robe

Oh my god I love this one...! It's so stylish and he looks so comfy in it. The color is also very beautiful, and I adore the calligraphic "C" sewn on his chest...

7. Black Hoodie and Jeans

A more casual look. It really just shows that Eric can look good in anything. Black in particular looks great on him.

6. Leather Jacket

More black... I've got a lot of feelings about this. I love leather jackets in general, so seeing Eric in one is like a dream come true.

5. Crown and Cape (King)

Should be pretty self-explanatory. Eric is definitely a king (among other things) and he more than deserves the crown. He wears it perfectly. And he thinks so too.

4. Dinosaur Pajamas

I love all of Eric's pajamas - they're all very cute - but if I had to pick the one that catches my attention the most it's this one. (Maube because I also love dinosaurs.) And Eric with a dinosaur pattern is just... cuteness overload... Also it's so nice how the top piece is a button up and not just a shirt.

3. Scarface

The contrast of black and white is impeccable on him. And the golden chain along with the partly open shirt is a lovely addition. I've always thought that it'd be fitting for him to get involved with the mafia at some point when he's older, and this outfit just proves me right.

2. N*zi Uniform

Might be a bit of an unpopular/controversial opinion, but... yeah. I just think he looks good in both outfits (which I'm counting as one). Nothing more, nothing less.

1. Suit(s)

Every suit Eric has ever worn, I love it to pieces. I just adore the way he looks in them. I like seeing more formal outfits, and the fact that Eric is more likely to dress formally than the rest of the boys in a situation is one of my favorite facts about him. He looks like a sophisticated little business man.

+Bonus

This spot is of course reserved for his classic red jacket and brown pants. (That Tumblr unfortunately won't let me add because of the image limit...)

IM HERE IM ASKING ABOUT UR DSMP AVIANS AU okay so like when u mean avians im assuming human-bird hyrbids like we see with grian and phil and sometimes tommy and quackity but what kinds of birds r everyone?? does everything in canon still apply the same way or are some things altered to better fit their new bird characteristics???? And do u have any new, altered design ideas that you'd like to show or describe? ???? :DDDD

yep! bird-human hybrids!

i haven't got ideas for all of the dsmp characters yet, but here are the ideas i have so far:

Non-Avians:

slime (he's still a slime, he just shapeshifted some wings on himself to blend in and look more normal (since most of the server's members are avians of some kind))

techno (he's a totally normal immortal human who's just. kinda Here)

antfrost (still Cat)

those aren't the only non-avians, but they're the only ones i have ideas for atm

The Members (Who Are Avians) That I Have Ideas For:

tommy- Mourning Dove (listen. the Symbolism. mourning doves aren't Just symbols of sorrow and grief (which...yeah), but also for peace, love and faith (religious c!tommy hcs, anyone-))

tubbo- Eurasian Golden Oriole (this one is purely for the Vibes)

ranboo- Black-and-White Warbler (again, Also The Vibes)

wilbur- European Starling (partially for The Vibes, but also cause I just think it'd look nice (also, I know according to lore that c!wil is apparently from utah, so him being a European Bird would make no sense lore-wise, but shhh-))

sally (because yes, she's here as well)- Osprey (water bird, they live near water (like the ocean), and i hc sally to be a pirate)

dream- Loggerhead Shrike (my thought process behind trying to find a bird for this guy was basically 'what sort of f**ked up bird would fit with this guy?' then i remembered shrikes. y'know, those birds that impale their prey on spikes? that are also SONGBIRDS? look, the vibes fit Way Too Well for me. also, i discovered that loggerhead shrikes can be found in florida! :] also, a fun fact! shrikes are actually Also hunt other birds :) take that how you will)

punz- Peregrine Falcon (every time i try to think of a bird for this guy, my brain keeps screeching 'F A L C O N')

phil- Crow, but the wings still have those diamond shape things that are on his cape (i think this one's a bit obvious)

fundy- Raven (look, hes both descended from The Angel of Death and has prophetic dreams. it fits for me)

eret- Lilac-Breasted Roller (Very Colorful. eret deserves to have a very colorful bird. seriously, look them up, they are The Rainbow As A Bird-)

purpled- Violet-Backed Starling (...guess)

hannah- Rosefinch, Specifically one of those Very Pink Rosefinches (...pink, also is literally called a ROSEfinch-)

niki- House Sparrow (i looked up german birds and house sparrows came up. look, i'm trying-)

sam- California Condor (okay, so! i looked up vulture symbolism, right? well, along with death and all that, vultures are also symbols for seriousness, protection, intelligence, and resourcefulness. plus, these guys are Big, and isn't c!sam canonically like, over 7 feet tall?)

quackity- Mallard Duck (look. Duck)

jack- Robin (Vibes)

foolish- Golden Eagle (big bird, and also...y'know..Golden. Eagle. just. the pun (cause his character is like a totem. which looks like it's made out of gold. look this one was partially cause my brain thought it'd be funny))

that's all i can really of for characters atm. but now!! facts!! about the au!!

so! life stages for avians!

-Hatchling: basically from birth to 5 years old. wings have little-to-no feathers

-Fledgling: 6-8 years old. wings have Down Feathers. fluffy :]

-Featherling: 9-13 years. at this point, the actual feathers start coming in! featherlings now have the ability to slow their falling and glide! no flying yet though :(

-Flightlings: 14-Adulthood. they start learning to actually fly now! at the beginning of the smp, tommy, tubbo, ranboo, and purpled fit this description!

so yeah, as you said, certain plot points have changed due to most people being, y'know, Part Bird. basically, people can actually fly around now! birb instincts!! CHIRPING AND OTHER NOISES!!

sally is here because Yes. she drags wilbur off to therapy post-nov. 16th. she is 110% done with both dream and punz's bs at this point. she just wants to protect her flock, man >:/

wing clipping is. unfortunately still a thing. i mean, from what i've looked up, wing clipping isn't exactly Permanent-Permanent. like, the feathers will eventually molt out and new feathers will grow in. it's only be really permanent if someone were to keep doing it, y'know. every time the feathers come back. so...there's that! still doesn't mean it's absolutely horrible for avians though

dream has clipped the wings of at least three server members. you can probably guess who at least One of those people are and what arc it was during

fun fact! while it's still pretty bad for a non-avian to clip the wings of an avian, it's Still not seen as being as bad as when an Avian clips Another Avian's wings. because. y'know. that's actually viewed as being Incredibly F**ked Up! on Several Levels!

y'know what? if you want, i'll make another post specifically about Exile and the Avian Au Specific F**ked Up S**t that happened there

so...i've heard of like this 'death spiral' eagles do when they mate. however, my brain came up with an interesting idea for that in this au! what if was more of a...fighting move? like, one avian grabs onto the hands of another avian and just starts trying to get them both to spiral to the ground? you know, as a way of killing each other? basically, they spiral until one is finally on the bottom. obviously, the one who hits the ground first dies.

...so, fun fact based off the above point! sally actually did that with punz in this au post-final control room! basically as a 'f**k you for killing my flock'

...well, she didn't exactly win that one. but the point is that she tried and was angry enough to do that

tommy Really Really does Not like people touching or being around his wings. At all. if he lets you be around his wings-or even lets you Preen them-then that's him showing a major sign of trust on his end.

that's all i've really got for now! but yeah, i've put a lot of thought into this!! i'm proud of myself for this!!

Another prompt from @methargicism Thank you! this one is adorable.

There were a lot of things Callum had never really prepared for as a prince. A sudden storm rolling in as he was walking with a baby dragon wrapped in his arms and a moonshadow elf barely keeping up was definitely one of those things.

"We shouldn't keep going! It's getting too dangerous!" Callum announced zipping his jacket up around Zym to keep the young dragon warm. Zym replied with a soft coo of concern, eyes darting over the prince.

"You're right! We need a plan!" The wind howled past their ears, making the whole conversation unnecessarily harder then it needed to be.

"Are there any caves around here?!" Callum called, one arm wrapped around Zym while the other came up to shield his eyes from the storm.

Sure Callum felt like he was being swept away but Rayla definitely had it worse seeing as she weighed less. Despite that she wasn't going far when the wind pushed them back, a couple inches maybe.

"No! There won't be! We'd have to be more to the east of the winding Xadia forest to see caves!" Rayla announced. This time when the wind picked up it didn't hesitate to catch either of them off guard.

It whipped Rayla and Callum back at least five feet forcing the two to stand and hold their ground. Zym whimpered where he was being shielded from the harsh weather by Callum's arm.

Rayla squealed almost falling on her back. Flying with the leaves that were whipping past them.

"Rayla!" Callum turned just in time to grab hold of her hands. A crack of thunder sounded in the sky, they definitely wouldn't last the night if it rained.

Rayla gripped onto Callum's sleeves while Callum continued to hold her wrists pulling them both out of the direct path line of the wind. He dropped down at the base of a nearby tree coaxing Rayla to do the same.

When she tried to sit the wind blew again not as hard but definitely enough for Rayla to lose her balance. She collapsed on her knees, hands grasping out to Callum's elbows. Both teens coming face to face with each other in a close-up they'd never experienced.

Zym wiggled his way out of Callum's jacket just as Rayla situated herself plopping down next to Callum.

"That was intense." Callum started with a soft laugh and Rayla was confused as to which part he was referring to.

"Yeah but you wanted to go this way. I told you a storm was coming." They were alot closer then they had been before, bodies pressed together for heat. Rayla shivered a little as she tried to muster her own laugh.

Zym yipped at her, quickly spreading his wings around both teens. It was incredibly sweet but Zym's wing span was too small to genuinely help.

"Aww Zym you're so sweet. Thank you." Rayla smiled patting the baby dragon's head. Zym smiled back huge jaw exposed out to Rayla.

It was a split second decision, one that Callum regretted a little the second he'd started moving but he didn't want Rayla to be cold and he also wanted to be gentlemenly so:

"Here, you can wear my jacket." He said thrusting the article of clothing towards Rayla.

The girl just laughed, "Then you'll get cold silly human."

Callum pouted with slight irritation that his nice deed was going unwanted. "I'll be fine just take it."

Rayla rolled her eyes playfully. She took an arm of Callum's jacket wrapping it around her shoulder before pulling the other side around Callum's shoulder. "There now we can conserve body heat."

Rayla had never been this close to him before. Her head was pressed up, flush against his chest. Horns stabbing his chin a little but he didn't mind. Arm streched out underneath the jacket, snaking it's way around his waist.

They were like...

"You've done very well Zym. Come close." Rayla ushered. Zym barked immediately joining their little huddle collapsing onto Callum's stomach. Rayla curled an arm over him keeping him close as she could. "Everyone comfortable?"

The wind picked up again but Callum was definitely too preoccupied with the heat against his cheeks. He shivered but it wasn't because he was cold.

"Callum.." When he looked down at her his pulse bounced in his neck. Her soft white hair fell past her cheeks revealing her soft purple irises. Her cheeks were flush from the wind. Gaze soft and attentive where they were looking at each other. "Are... You still... Cold?" He took into account the dart of her eyes to other parts of his face before they were brought back. A deepened color forming against her already rosy cheeks.

"I'm.. Ok. Really.." She blinked up at him. And Callum didn't realize till her body shifted that she was moving to be more comfortable. Shifting her weight to touch his cheek.

He pressed into her soft touch with sheer endearment, pulse still fluctuating. The space between them was definitely starting to shrink and whether it was for the reason Callum thought he wasn't sure.

"Callum.." With his name being the last word Rayla had uttered he pressed his lips to her's.

Soft. Was his intital thought.

Not to mention how perfectly inviting she was. Her warmth and the way she carefully arched up into the kiss. Callum shifted his head a bit giving himself an easier opening to make the kiss more passionate.

This was his first kiss, and he assumed it was Rayla's too. Even if she was really good at it. Her lips perfectly matching his, not to mention her thumb running smoothly back and forth on his cheek.

It was all so good. Callum soon found himself placing a delicate hand to Rayla's rib rubbing his own thumb over the fabric of her clothing. He expected her to pull it away, maybe even pull away from the kiss but she did neither. Her own hand falling to the back of his neck to play with the hair there.

They were starting to move a little faster more at ease with each other. Callum twisted his head, dipping Rayla's head back a little as she chased his lips. She gave off a tiny sound of surprise before she was back again. Making Callum's skin feel perfectly heated.

All of it immediately stopped when Zym barked right between them. The two teens pulled away looking at the baby dragon before immediately looking at each other. It wasn't clear who laughed first but the two leaned against one another.

Callum with his hand still looped around Rayla's waist and Rayla with her fingers grasping Callum's shirt with the hand that had slipped from his neck.

"Was that an Ew in baby sky dragon?" Callum asked running a hand over Zym's closed wings. Still snickering a little.

"It might've been an Aw we may never know."

I had it in my brain that Callum was gonna have Rayla shivering because he added tongue to the kiss but I scrapped that cause I thought it'd be a little to intense. Also Zym just wants attention from his het parents and they're busy making out. Tsk tsk tsk.
