Friendly reminder to anyone on Tumblr

You can filter tags and content to keep from viewing things that might be triggering or even to prevent spoilers for something

If you are on mobile:

You are going to want to go to your account (it's that little person looking button at the bottom of the page)

Then you are going to click the settings button (the little cog shaped one at the top of the page)

You will then click on Account Settings

Scroll down until you see 'content you see' it should be under dashboard preferences

Once you click that you should see 'filtered tags and 'filtered post content'

Click the + new button and add whatever it is you no longer want to see (you can remove these at any time so don't feel concerned about putting something in that you'll want to view again later)

Restart Tumblr and you should see the changes implemented instantly

If you are on desktop:

You are going to click the cog shaped button that says settings

You will then click on the account button that should have appeared under the settings button

Scroll down till you see 'content you see' which should be under the birthday section you should see 'filtered tags and 'filtered post content'

Click on the little pencil icon then add whatever it is you no longer want to see (you can remove these at any time so don't feel concerned about putting something in that you'll want to view again later)

Refresh the page and you should instantly see the changes take effect

Filtered tags as the name implies filters out any content that has been appropriately tagged with what you are trying to not see.

Filtered post content however filters out any content that simply has the mention of the word you chose to no longer see.
