Allow me to reintroduce myself...

I'm not sure what re-inspired me to do this. Could be a writing bug. It could be that some content creators I follow are bad news all day every day. Whatever the case, I decided to once again reintroduce myself and tell you signed up for.

My name is nukirk and I love three things: tech, culture and protecting them. Somewhat in that order. What I used to do is blog about racial issues and sad news as What Whites Will Never Know. Now, I want to blog about a lot of other things beyond that.. and less sad news. Too much of that going on. Here's a taste of those things (in no particular order)

How to protect yourself online from the rapidly changing Internet.

Curating posts from other people about what their passionate about.

Why it's important to not be complacency with your digital equipment.

Learning about the current culture environment and how you can help (and no, complaining about it online isn't the only step)

Social commentary about stuff that the news might missed.

Basically, if it's related to tech, blackness, and culture, I'm going to blog about it. Or re-blog about it.

So, stay tuned for more posts.

P.S. - what's with the "for the rest of us" line? Well... some things I post about is to simplify it so it doesn't go over your head. Especially when it comes to tech. I always like to simplify things so that you can learn it without being the geek yourself. Hence "for the rest of us". Hope that clears that up.

Hey, y’all.

I’m going to start posting up more stuff on my original blog @nukirk and they are going to be more of my artistic endeavors within music, poetry, photography and other misc items. 

I’m doing this basically to give @thoughtremixer a more serious, supportive and informative space. Sure, there will be Black excellence posts and some light posts to balance out the sometimes negative vibes.

@nukirk isn’t really a new blog, but I want to post up more artistic items and similar posts that will get lost within @thoughtremixer (also, some of you are REALLY on this “match my blog” hidden rule...) 

So, if you enjoy my personal posts and want to see some magic I do (not the literal kind, but oddly enough, I do perform magic), I encourage you to follow @nukirk and give me a holla.

Oh, as you noticed, I added “w/ nukirk.digi.tal” to the thought.remixer banner because I need people to realize that this is not a team blog, but a side-blog run by one person. 

So, we’re good? Good. 

P.S. - No, there are no major changes to anything. I’m just letting you know of this option.

Wordpress blog is up!

All right, my wordpress is up and running and I’m starting to transfer my writing manually. I don’t want to wait a week just to have a dozen writing-posts uploaded the fancy way.

I AM NOT DELETING MY BLOGS, but since Tumblr is being a butt and flagging completely SFW shit, I’m covering my ass in case I get flagged for reblogging kittens or pretty dresses. I’ll be posting this daily until Dec 17 so all my followers at least get a SHOT at keeping in contact.

If you’re talking about within facets of Whiteness… in other words, when you add ethnicity to it, you will get a rich history of accomplishments and historical facts. Because Blackness and erasure of a person’s individuality based on skin color, it’s tough for society to treat the two separate. However, if someone wants to represent Whiteness as part of their culture instead of their ethnicity, then you also have to accept the dark history of how Whiteness spread. If anything, Whiteness want to eliminate Blackness and NB-PoC.

I covered the most asked questions that are more about the title of the month than it is about what we’re doing this actual month for people who just want to scream into the abyss and hope they don’t have to hear an answer.

Semi-Haitus

Hey, y’all.

I know that my posts are becoming a bit less and less on Tumblr, but for good reason. I’m looking to move out of my current home of 3 years. Sadly, my roommates and situation with certain elements around the neighborhood are making it difficult to justify staying here. (If you followed me on instagram, you know what that is. It involves a crime scene.)

It’s also hitting into my creativity and delayed the podcast I really wanted to do. To be frank, in order for me to be better, I need to move to a more creator-friendly environment... or at least to a place where it’s not an energy suck.

For June/July 2019, I will be posting only when I’m able. I like reading/reblogging stuff I agree with or at least spark an idea, and since my time on Tumblr will dramatically drop while I work to make more money. You’ll also see some “classic” reblogs of old work... especially if someone reblogs its recently.

So, @thoughtremixer​ is going to see less stuff for a minute. But the stuff you will see is because I really think it’s good!

I’m sorry that it came to this, but you know my style: myself and safety first before everything else.

We are Mars (@marsincharge) and nukirk (@nukirk  or @thoughtremixer), two of the co-founders behind #Blackout on Tumblr. We, and our other co-founder T’von (@luka-brasi, hey T’von!), started this almost three years ago.

In honor of Black History Month, we’ve teamed up with Tumblr. They’ve asked us:  So when they write the headlines and history books what do you want them to say? And #WhatWillYouDo to make it happen?

OUR ANSWER: We want to highlight and honor Black organizations that are doing really amazing work in spaces that Black people are often left out of and that are having really important conversations about bettering Black communities. We’ll be linking to them all day long.

We are also entering 2018 with a new mission statement: to create sustainable online spaces of positivity for Black people…all around the world. With that in mind, we’re making our official return to themes.

Me thinks maybe black people are a little more fragile about this. More specifically one black person is fragile about this. Now as a fellow "fragile white man" who has to be constantly remind that our entire race is shit and that we as white individuals have to continually EVERY SINGLE DAY GET REMINDED OF THE SLAVE TRADE OR SEGRAGATION OR ANY OTHER TINY LITTLE BULLSHIT SNIP-IT OF HOW WHITE PEOPLE CAN BE Racist. HOW CAN YOY EXPECT SOMEONE LET ALONE AN ENTIRE RACE OF PEOPLE TO CHANGE OVER NIGHT BY Continually THROWING ASPECTS IN THE FACE OF PEOPLE WHO WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE IN THE CONFLICT ON BOTH SIDES OF THIS. I don't support these fascists, but because I'm white I'm lumped in with how YOU veiw white people. It almost sounds like black people are subjugating whites to what happened in their mind to what blacks went through. This is a tide that WILL regress both communities to the point of war.
