Demetria:

🧠: So her mental health isn't the greatest. She struggles with drug and alcohol addiction along with pretty bad depression. As for specific triggers, it can be from something as minor as a shift in the weather or it can be her missing the people she lost centuries ago (ex. Darien, Vanus, her family, etc.) She has a hard time with self care as she often finds it pointless because she's stuck as she is and can't die anyway. But on good days she'll be more attentive to her appearance, hygiene, and just general wellbeing. She finds that being around friends and practicing spells can often make her feel better.

⚡- She's deeply scared of two things. Firstly, that she'll end up outliving everyone on Nirn and will be the only one left on the planet. Second, that she's not enough to help everyone who needs her. If she's sober, she'll keep her fears to herself if plausible. If not, she's noticably pale and sweaty, and far more paranoid than usual. If the Gods give this poor woman a fucking break, she could overcome the first fear, yes. The second fear? I don't see that being as easy. That's more due to insecurity than anything.

Silas:

🕰️ - They have plenty, poor traumatized bby. One that comes to mind is the alienage purge that killed their father when they were 12. That's their most memorable childhood memory for obvious reasons. They tend not to think back on their childhood unless Thurwen, Shianni, or Soris recall a fond memory of the four of them growing up together. It's often a bittersweet experience for them.

🎁 - If you're not Zevran or Alistair, they'll probably have hard time accepting any gift due to feeling guilty. I genuinely can't think of a best singular object to buy or make for Silas, they'd appreciate anything that you make or get from the heart. They would like if got things for their nugs though. The worst would probably be anything to do with the Chantry or anything too "Shemmy" as they would put it. They would probably accept it depending on what it is, but they'd throw it away when you leave. They strongly prefer giving gifts than receiving and it's because they're pretty damn good at it. They'll take some time to get to know you and what you like before they make you anything. But anything they make you is hand made or carved and very detailed and meticulous. So you better appreciate it or they'll cry. They don't wrap their gifts, they just give it to you.

Oc fact: some of my warden thurwens many scars are from getting stabbed with a fork while stealing someone’s food, falling off the alienage wall while drunk and performing a musical, accidentally sitting on a nail and jump scaring her mage friend and getting fucking obliterated

UMMM can I love her?! Galain HATED Dorian when she first met him because ofc he is Tevene and dat is no good. She punched him once and spat on him twice - only when Bull pulled her aside to tell her she was being unfair did she reluctantly apologize. They had many many talks after that and Dorian kind of acted as a therapeutic outlet for her when she needed to scream about her past, and then they made up and moved on to plotting for hours about how Tevinter could change with their interactions.Dorians POV is a whooole different story but I'll leave it at that!

My kid Thurwen didn't learn to read til she was almost 18 and she's v insecure abt her intelligence from years of having no access to education+ADHD

My boy Daniel was abandoned by his parents when he was like, 5 (after he like cut off his own arm theres a whole plot thing with that) and was sent to a shitty Orphanage or disabled physically or mentally kids. On top of the fact hes a very rebellious child with anger issues, he got shit of an education and but plays off by making it look like its part of his care free personality.

Thurwen post.

Shes a guard dog. Her innate self is all teeth and meat and blood. She doesn’t necessarily like that part of herself, but she recognizes it as an intrinsic part of herself that keeps her alive and fighting. She doesn’t hate it either, it’s just her and she doesn’t know any other way to be. The problem arises because she is naturally drawn to sweet and nice people who don’t have an ounce of sadism in them. So the relationship is always good until they see her going meat mode- and they get scared or disgusted by her. Which is fair because she is in all honesty a lot to handle. Even she doesn’t know what she’s entirely about. Anything that is unjust or unkind she does not like and will fight over, but then she’ll disembowel and slowly rip apart whoever was being unkind? It doesn’t make sense. Sometimes she disturbs even herself- not innately, but only when people she likes react negatively. Which is fair, she guesses. She wants to protect people but then in the act of protecting them she loses herself and goes meat mode.

#one of her greatest shames is from her own wedding.#when her cousin shianni was raped she just went right to a slow death for the rapist. she carved them all open and fed them bits #of themselves and cut off their penises when they were still alive then shoved it in their mouths before beheadeing them.#her shame is that she feels she should have killed them quickly and used the extra time to comfort her cousin.#instead she further traumatized her and made things worse.#thurwen #IN SUMMARY- she throws she cares through unbelievable acts of violent sadism of your enemies #and most people understandably don’t like that and have not at all asked for that

'im just passing through- im not watching it.' proceeds to get annoyed if you try and talk to her during despite 'not watching it'. If there were medieval cellphones shed be standing behind you while you're on the couch very obviously reading over your shoulder but denies it vehemently. Do NOT fucking try and change the temperature of Warden Keep at any time. ""What, do you have stock in the kindling industry??"' Yelling for you from 11 rooms away but wont reply when you yell back, so you have to walk all the way to her just so she can ask you some shit like where you left the mustard.

Thurwen and oghren relationship dump

It’s certainly a friendship that you wouldn’t see coming, especially how strong it is and how much they turn out really loving the other as family. I mean oghren does have misogynistic leanings and is lecherous, but he’s also. Kind of deeply afraid of women and purposefully drives them off after his disaster of a marriage. Even sigrun remarks that he’s afraid of women. (After he and thurwen are already good friends, oddly enough.) So. It’s certainly an odd friendship. I think on some level, oghren sees everything he wanted to be when he looks at thurwen. Despite his crass demeanor and drunken attitude, she’s an idol to him. She’s a strong warrior who takes charge and leads others, despite the odds, and she’s tough as nails, taking any hit that comes her way and bearing it with a grunt and a grin. So for oghren, who was stripped of his rank and cast out, it’s no wonder he sees something in her worth following. She literally embodies his ideals.

She was a weakling little elfling in his eyes when they met, but by the time they left the deeproads, she had become impressive enough in his eyes that he could no longer go anywhere else. He saw her, her mission, and went with her. Dwarves who go topside are never welcomed again in orzammar. Her fight had no thing to do with him. He gave up his whole life, the little he had left, to join her.

They’re in the deep roads when She gives him one warning to stop saying gross things to the women in the group, then another, only giving the second warning because she knows he hurting, but by the third she turns around and slaps him so hard and silly he’s seeing stars and feels the need to throw up. Of course he angrily postures after that and tries to square up, but she’s the only chance he has at funding his wife after all, so he quiets down.

Oghren has never before in his life followed another’s word, he’s always been an arguer and fighter for anyone at all telling him what to do, but he follows her orders without complaint or worry. She welcomed him and accepted him, showed sympathy and kind words when he was at his worst and still looking for his wife. She let him join her in the deep roads, listened to him when no one else had for years and years. He’ll never admit it or let it show in any way at all, but he would die for her, would be excited to do so.

Christ shes barely even 18 but she embodies every single ideal of a warrior he’s ever had. Surprisingly, he’s eager to accept it. He’s not so dumb as to not see what she represents and the future she carries with her.

He named his daughter after her. He considers her the reason he’s still breathing, the reason he has hope.
