Kid-Pranked
Time Never Stops Blurb!
Word Count: 2302
A/N: ope, we about to freak poor Tommy out, I am not sorry. It’s pure fluff
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I run my hand through my hair as I walk about the house going through my mental check-list. Cameras? Check. Mics? Check. Extra batteries? Check. Backpack with the rest of my equipment? Checkity-check. I zip up the main zipper as I place it on the kitchen chair to grab my water from out of the fridge. “Tom?”
“Yes, love?”
“Are you sure you’re good to have the kids today?” I place the water bottle into the side pocket, clipping the top to the side strap for extra security.
Tom laughs from the living room, feet shuffling against the floor as he walks into the kitchen, Nathaniel settled on his hip, who upon seeing me reaches for me to hold him. Tom hands him over as I reach for him, Nathan’s head resting against my collar bone. “Love, I’m their dad. Besides, Harrison will be with me. They can’t outnumber us.”
“Mama.”
“Yeah, bud?” I coo, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead.
Nathan nuzzles his head into my skin, grabbing a fistfull of my tee shirt, “‘ungry.”
I giggle, Tom moving past me to grab Nathan’s breakfast. “Daddy is getting it for you, okay?”
“Mama?”
I turn and smile at Claire walking into the room, Spider-Man tsum tsum tucked under her right arm and left hand holding onto Tessa’s collar. “Good morning, Claire-bear, did you sleep well?”
She nods, walking over and wrapping her arms around my leg. “Yeah,” she nuzzles her face into my pants. “Are you going to see Uncle Dan and Uncle Phil today?”
“Yup,” I run a hand through her slightly curled, tangled hair.
“Can I go?” She looks up at me, big brown eyes mimicking Tom’s puppy-dog stare.
I smile down at her, “Don’t you want to spend the day with Daddy?”
“We aren’t going to Grandma and Grandad’s?” Her eyes light up as she lets go to run into Tom’s legs, nearly knocking him over. “Can we go to the park? Please, please, pleeeeeeeease?”
“Absolutely, princess.” Tom laughs, placing his hand on the back of her head to hug her closer.
My phone pinging pulls me away from the sweet moment. I reach for it off the table to see that the boys are outside. “Alright, babies, Mama has to head out.” I crouch so Claire can hug me while I set Nathan on the ground, “Be good for Daddy and Uncle Harrison, okay?” The two nod as I stand and press a quick kiss to Tom’s lips before grabbing my bag and head out the door.
“So Tom has the babies today?” Phil greets as I crawl onto the back seat of the Uber, camera in hand.
“Yeah, him and Harrison are taking them to the park and then they are going to have a picnic with them or something.” I laugh, shifting the bags onto the floor.
Dan smiles as he turns in the front seat, “so that’s why our last stop in filming is the park?”
I shrug, nodding my head. “Figured if I see them, I can check in on them. Nathaniel is one-hundred percent a mama’s boy.”
“He’d want to you to go home too-”
“Or come with me, baby boy is attached to the hip.”
The three of us meet up with the rest of the group to record, ready for a long, long day. As we progress and finally head to the park, I notice that Tom had sent me a few pictures of the babies. He had captioned the text ‘Park Ready ‘ which made me laugh.
While finishing up some of the final shots, I hear a familiar yell, making me turn. I laugh as Claire comes running over, barreling into my legs happily. “Mama!”
“Hey, Claire-Bear, are you having a fun day with Daddy?”
She nods her head, giggling, “Daddy is having a prank war with Uncle Hazza.”
“He is?” She giggles at my voice going higher, nodding her head. “Well, ain’t that fun?”
She sways from side to side, looking up at me before motioning for me to lean down. Once I crouch to her height, she lets out a little giggle, “Can we prank Daddy?”
“You wanna prank your Daddy?” I giggle, pinching her sides so she giggles again. “Doesn’t that sound fun, we can do it once I get home, yeah?”
“Nooooooo,” she whines, “wanna do it now!”
Phil crouches down beside me, chuckling as Claire launches into his arms, calling out his name. “What were you thinking, bug?” Claire goes into a big explanation while I stand, stretching my stiff muscles.
Dan walks over and gives me a funny look, “What you thinking about Howell?”
“She wants to prank Tom?”
“Yeah, we’ve all been in a mega prank war and its been taking over our house.”
He chuckles, “What was the worst thing that’s happened so far?”
“Hmmm,” I scratch the back of my head, “Tom pretended that Claire was having an allergic reaction while I was on a live stream and when I reacted I ended up getting sopped with green goo, in front of 10 million people...”
“So she wants to help her Mum now, I think you should go a little more all out.”
“Like what?” I laugh, replacing my camera battery while we are stopped.
“How would Tom react if your littles disappeared?”
“Freak the fuck out, that’s for damn sure.” I notice the way Dan gives me a knowing look, “No, I am not gonna kidnap my own kids!”
“I know you want this prank war to be done, I can see it in your face, and it’s not kidnapping if someone else on the opposite party knows-”
“No it’s not, Dan!” I shake my head, my focus going back to my daughter as she wraps her arm around my leg, looking up at me with bright eyes.
“Mama, prank Daddy?”
I look at Dan and Phil, both who look at me with mischief in their eyes. “This is a bad idea-”
“We won’t keep them too long, we can go back to your place if you are so worried.” Dan suggests.
“What are we doing?” Phil asks with a raised eyebrow.
“Pranking my husband.” I sigh, setting my bag down on the ground before sitting down beside it. Claire crawls into my lap as I pull out my ideas notepad and pen.
Harrison,
If you say anything about pranking your best friend before the proper point I will pull you into this prank war and it will be 10x worse than what I have had to deal with this month. I am taking the kids back home, and you are the only one who is going to know. Gonna let Tom have his own freak-out moment with the babies. Make sure Tom comes home after at least an hour, and make sure he doesn’t call the police. It won’t be a pretty thing to explain to the police that I took my own kids without telling my husband for a prank.
Much love, your other best friend, (Y/N)
I rip out the page, folding it in half and look at Claire. “Alright, little love, you are going to do two things for me, okay?” I point over at a large tree that isn’t too far from where Harrison and Nathan are seated. “You are going to hand this to Uncle Hazza, then take Nathan’s hand and tell him we are gonna see Mama, then come back to me. Okay?”
“Prank Daddy?”
“Prank Daddy.” I confirm, Claire snatching the piece of paper from my hand before running as fast as her little legs can carry her over to her uncle. I look at Dan and Phil, who have grabbed and rezipped my bag, “I’ll meet you over there, yeah?”
They give me a crisp nod before walking to the closest exit that was happened to be closest to the walk home. I move over to the tree and wait a minute before Nathaniel is beside me, reaching out for me. “Hi, baby baby, wanna go home and watch Totoro?”
“‘Roro.” He hums, eyes falling shut and thumb popping into his mouth as he settles against my chest. Claire grabs my hand as we walk to the exit, only letting go to take Phil and Dan’s hands so they can swing her between them. I smile at the scene, raising an eyebrow when my phone vibrates in my back pocket. When I fish it out, I let out a short, breathy laugh.
~
Hazza Bananza
Tom is gonna kill me for not telling him.
Also, he literally walked away to get Claire and ice-lollie.
I don’t think he will last an hour.
Mama MemeLord
Figure it out Osterfield
~
I roll my eyes as I send out the response, tucking it back into my back pocket. Nathaniel curls closer, breath even. Looks like I am gonna have to just relax for the next hour.
An hour later, Harrison had already texted me to say they were on their way home. I usher the kids into the back yard with Dan and Phil as I get started on dinner. I hear the front door slam open, Tom’s voice shaking as he calls out, “Claire Marie! Nathaniel James! Please tell me you are here?”
“Tom?” I call, a concerned face covering my features.
“Love! Y-you’re home!” He stutters, his eyes wide with fear and anxiety, “(Y/N), I lost the kids, we were at the park and I walked away to get Claire an ice-lollie and when I came back they were gone-”
My heart aches at his fear, and I grab his shoulders in an attempt to calm him. “Tom, Tom, Tom. Take a breathe. The babies are fine-”
“No I lost them, and I thought that maybe they just came home, or went to my Mum’s and Dad’s but they aren’t there.”
“Baby, you didn’t lose them.” I giggle, taking his face in my hands.
“I didn’t- but they were with me-”
“And my last stop was at the park, and our babies were tired and wanted to go home.” I tell him, moving my hands down to hold his.
“You had them? Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Dan thought it would be a good prank after what you did to me last week.”
That’s when Tom’s eyes finally lighten, I can feel the weight finally falling away from his shoulders. “So you freaked me out ‘cause I freaked you out?”
“Yup, except, instead of freaking you out in front of 10 million people, I only let you freak out in front of your best friend.”
Tom spins around to point at Harrison, who already has his hands up in surrender. “You-”
Harrison points at me in a panic, “She put me up to it!”
“Daddy!” Claire’s voice pulls us all away from our conversation. Tom’s knees hit the floor as he takes her into his arms. “Pranked you!”
Tom lets out a wet laugh, “Yup, but we aren’t going to do anymore pranks for awhile, okay?”
“Okay! Can we play tea-party?”
Tom chuckles, nodding, “After dinner, okay baby-love?”
“Da’?” Nathaniel’s voice comes from the sliding glass door, Dan and Phil not too far behind.
“Hey, bud!” Tom opens his arm so he can hug Nathan, who just snuggles into him. “Missed you.”
“Well, now that the cat is out of the bag, we are going to leave,” Dan calls, trying to sneak by Tom without being caught.
“You aren’t allowed in my house for three months, Daniel.” Tom calls back, making the kids giggle, Claire running over to Dan calling out a long ‘no’.
“Why three months?” Dan laughs as he snuggles Claire.
“Cause I can’t ground you, and it just keeps you away from giving my wife bad ideas.”
“Leave him alone, Tommy.” I giggle, as he stands, wrapping an arm around his chest, pressing mine to his back. “Everyone is fine.”
“I know, I know, love.” He mutters, taking my hand in his to press a kiss to the back of it. “Have a safe drive home, mates. You too Harrison.”
“I’m out, gotta meet with my mum tonight anyways, bye guys!”
The house grew quiet as everyone left for the evening. Tom lets out a sigh as my timer goes off on the stove. “Dinner’s ready.” I mutter, letting go of Tom to pull the chicken out of the oven.
“Claire, will you take your brother to the bathroom and help him wash his hands for dinner?” I don’t hear a response, but the pitter-patter of feet leaving the room confirms that she was doing just that. The room stays silent as I feel Tom move toward me, the only sound coming from the creaking floorboards. A squeak leaves my parted lips as his hand connects with my toosh. “Love?”
“Yes, baby?”
His head lands onto my shoulder, a shaky breath leaving his parted lips. “I really thought I lost them today.”
“They’re safe, Tom, promise.” I run a hand into his hair.
“And for that I am glad, but darling, you do know that you aren’t getting away with this, right?”
I laugh and his other arm wraps around my waist pulling me flush to his chest. “I’ll make it up to you, promise.”
“Will you make me my favorite cookies?”
My laughter shakes us both, making him laugh along with me. “Sure, handsome.”
“We washed our hands!”
Tom let’s go of me to scoop up the littles and places them at the table as I bring over the meal. I smile at my little family at the table, Claire talking about her afternoon with Uncle Dan and Phil while I help Nathan with his food. Tom smiles at me when we make eye contact. My little family. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Claire, where are you, little love?" I call as I walk down the hall to the two year-old's room. I open the door to see toys spread across the floor, a Spider-Man tsum tsum that usually sat on the glider in the corner missing, as well as a Spider-Man blanket that was usually spread across the back. I raise an eyebrow at the lack of the little girl before I make my way down the hall. I smile, nudging my bedroom door open with my foot. I find Tessa and Claire curled up on the bed, her head resting on Tom's pillow, Spider-Man tsum tsum tucked under one arm, blanket spread across her back, and Tess laying her head over the curve of her spine; sleeping soundly. I pull out my phone, snapping a photo before sending it to him.

"Mummy?" I lift my eyes to see Claire peek out from under the covers, looking at me with her bright, caramel colored irises.
"Hello, little love. How was your nap?" I whisper, sitting on the bed, Claire crawling into my lap.
"I miss Daddy." She whimpers, looking up at me with sad eyes. She pouts out her lower lip, matching Tom's puppy eyes to a t. I brush a curl behind her ear and press kisses all over her face just to get a giggle to escape her chest. She squeals, wrapping her arms around me neck as I cradle her to my chest.
"I know you do, but not long now. We are going to surprise Daddy, remember, but we can't tell him that. What did I tell you about that?" She places her finger to her little lips, letting out a small 'shhh.' "That's right, now. Why don't you and Tess go pack up a few toys in your blue bag-"
"The one Daddy got me when visiting Auntie Z?" Claire squeals in excitement, her hair falling in her face as she bounces on my leg.
"Yes, that one," I giggle, "I'll come in there and pack your things for the trip then Uncle Haz will take us to the airport, alright?"
Claire nods her head feverishly before crawling off my lap, sliding down the side of the bed, and running out of the room with Tessa on her heels. I let out a sigh, grabbing my suitcase from inside the closet and placing it on the bed to pack. I took time to pack a weeks worth of clothing inside the case, excited to see my husband after him being away for the past two months. I check the belongings a few more times before I walk down the hall to see Claire trying to fit as many toys inside the blue bag, so much to the point that it wouldn't zip.
"Little love, I think you have too much in your bag." I giggle, kneeling down beside her.
"But I want to show Daddy my new toys that Uncle Sam and Uncle Harry got me from their trip!" She stated, stomping her foot on the floor.
"Well, how about I repack it and then we can choose the clothes you wanna wear while we are in L.A., yeah?" I say, tucking my hand under her chin. She pouts her lip out, but nods nonetheless. "Alright, princess, let's get to packing."
Harrison shows up an hour later, staying for lunch before he drives us to the airport. Claire bounces on his leg, telling him all the things that she has been doing since the last time he watched her (which was only three days ago). He looks at me with soft eyes. "Are you going to tell him while you're there?"
"Mhm," I giggle, smiling as I sat back at the table. Claire slides off of Harrison's lap and tugs at my jeans. I scoop her up and press a kiss to her cheek.
"He's going to be excited," he laughs, as Claire takes a large bite of the sandwich on my plate, chewing with lips upturned.
"He will indeed."
~
I sigh happily as I make my way out of the airport, Claire's head lulled on my shoulder as I make my way to where Zendaya promised she would pick us up. I smile as I spot her, waving carefully without waking Claire up. Zendaya puts her hands out for me to pass Claire over to her, she smiles as Claire nuzzles her head into her neck, falling more deeply asleep. "I am going to grab our bag then we can go." I whisper, moving to join the crowd at the baggage claim. I stand there for a few minutes, looking back every so often to see Z bounce softly with Claire still sleeping sound in her arms. I reach across and grab the car seat and suitcase from off the belt before making my way back to Zendaya.
"Let's go, Holland," Z says with a wink, making me laugh. I follow her out and let her keep Claire preoccupied as I set the seat in her backseat and set it up. After I finish, I toss my bag in her trunk as Z places my sleeping child in her seat and buckling her in. Zendaya gets back inside the car and makes her way back to her house, letting out a sigh of relief. "So, how was she for the flight?"
"Really good," I tell her honestly, turning my head to look back at her. "She talked to the people across the row for awhile, then ended up talking to some of my fans while we waited for a connecting flight."
"She really is a people person," Z laughs, the sun setting behind the clouds.
"She is indeed," I turn back toward the front looking at her, "And you're okay with taking us to where they are shooting tomorrow, I don't want to be a burden on you-"
"You're not a burden, believe me, the boy misses you two like crazy." She states as she pulls up to her house. The two of us get out, I grab my bag while Z gets Claire out of her seat.
Once we are all settled and I have Claire tucked into bed, I smile pressing a kiss to her forehead. "Only a few more hours, little love, then we will see your Daddy."
~
I smile as Tom's assistant leads Claire and I out to where Tom is shooting. Jake, his assistant, smiles as he talks about how Tom has been doing nothing but talking about his little family waiting back at home. Jake motions for me to sit in Tom's chair while he goes back to finish some things up for Tom. I point out Tom for Claire, he had been playing a Mobster Boss for his latest movie, he was excited to be playing something new.
"There's your daddy, Claire-bear," I whisper. She sits up a little higher before bouncing on my lap. She opens her mouth but I am quick to shush her.
"Cut! Take a break everyone!" The director calls out, the hard expression on Tom's face softens and he lets out a small breath. I smile, setting Claire on the ground.
"Be careful, little love," I whisper, giving her the okay to run over to Tom.
She moves carefully over the cords that litter the ground, me walking behind her, before she runs as fast as her little legs will take her. "Daddy!"
Tom's head whips around, his face brightening as he watches his toddler run over to him. "Claire! My little love, what are you doing here?" Tom kneels down just as she throws herself into his arms, her arms going around his neck.
"Missed you, Daddy." She whimpers into his shoulder, Tom turning his head to kiss hers while he stands.
"Missed you too, princess." Tom's eyes fall on me, softening as he opens his arm to me. "Missed you as well, darling."
"We wanted to surprise you-"
"You definitely surprised me, loves." Tom pulls me into him, pressing a kiss to my forehead. He squeezes us closer before letting me go, but only slightly.
"Daddy," Claire tugs on his hair, messing with the slick hair behind his head.
"Claire-"
"It's fine, darling, they can fix that." He turns his head and presses kisses all over Claire's face, making her giggle. "What's wrong, princess?"
"Wanna cuddle, missed you." She states, tugging on his hair again.
"We get out early today, princess, then we can go get lunch and go cuddle." He tells her, kissing the top of her head as she cuddles into his neck, tugging his hair again. "Why don't you go see Mummy so Daddy can get his hair redone. Then we can finish up here, how's that sound?"
She only nods, reaching out for me to take her as Tom takes my hand to pull me toward his trailer. The makeup artist giggles at the way his hair is tugged out of place as she fixes it. Tom keeps looking at us in the mirror, smiling at us. Claire goes and sits on his lap for a bit until he has to be on set. At that point the two of us sit and watch him work from behind the t.v. monitors.
Tom tugs us back into his trailer after the long day, changing quickly before taking us out for lunch, and as the day progresses, the less Claire wants to nap and the more she tirely clings to Tom as much as she can.
When the evening rolls around, Tom, Claire, and I head back to his condo, only after we grab my luggage from Z's house. Claire is curled up into Tom's chest as he goes to set her in his king sized bed. He lets out a chuckle when she clings to his shirt, kissing her forehead one more time before tucking her in and walking back to where I was standing in the doorway. Tom takes my hand and tugs me out of the room and down the hall to the living room, where he pulls me into his lap and kisses me deeply.
"God, I've missed you." He sighs against my lips, bringing them back to his only after a second.
"I've missed you too, all of us have." I giggle as his lips trail down my jaw to my collarbone.
He lets out a soft chuckle, his nose tracing the mark that was now on my skin. "So, I was wondering, what if we had another one?"
"Another one?" I ask, biting my lip.
"Another baby, I mean, I think she's old enough to have another sibling."
"I don't think we need to work too hard on making that happen." I giggle, waiting for him to get the hint.
Tom lifts his head up to look at me, his eyebrows pulled together in question. "What do you mean?"
I lean down and press a kiss to his ear before speaking, "You remember the night before you left-"
"How could I forget..." His voice started out teasing until it trails off. He pulls his head back to look at me, "Wait, are you? Are you pregnant?" He whispers, looking at me in excitement.
"Claire is going to be a big sister, Tommy, and you're going to be a father again."
Tom let's out a laugh, kissing my lips again, lacing his fingers in my hair. Tom suddenly pulls away. "Oh, God, how are we going to tell Claire?"
"That's a job for another day," I laugh, smiling at him, before tugging at his hair to bring him closer. "All I want to do is spend time with my husband before our little two year old wakes up and disturbs the moment."
"That I can handle, my love. That I can handle." He states, bringing me into another breathtaking kiss, that makes me forget about the world for a moment. Only knowing that this is where I am meant to be, in his arms.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"How was your day?" I sleepily murmur, turning over only slightly, wincing at the pain in my stomach.
"Fine, are you okay?" Tom asks, laying an arm across my waist as he cuddles into my back.
"Yeah, just not feeling well." I mutter, laying my head down back into my pillow. Tom hums behind me, smiling about being curled up against me for the first time in twenty-four hours. I lay in bed, exhausted, but wide awake. I try and focus my thoughts on breathing in and out slowly, or Tom's breath hitting my neck. After a few hours of being unsuccessful in sleeping, I slowly get out of bed and walk into the bathroom to fill the hot water bottle to place on my back. Tess follows me into the bathroom, letting out a small whine behind me since I should have been in bed.
A gasp escapes my lips at the sharp pain that shoots through my abdomen. It had been progressively getting worse all day, but now it was unbearable. I place a hand on the counter to steady myself when I feel something drip down my legs. At first, I think that I had just pissed myself, a normal occurrence with how far in the pregnancy I am, but as I look down at the floor and the intensity of the pain I come to a very exciting and scary realization: my water just broke.
"Shit, shit, shit." I whisper, Tess whining loudly now that she could see my panic. "Tom?" I call out, not moving from where I had been standing, leaning over the sink. When I don't hear him move, I snap my fingers and point at him so Tess will get back on the bed, calling his name again but now it comes out more shrill, going up an octave.
I can see Tom stir in the mirror, sitting up quickly as Tess jumps on the bed in a panic, lapping at his face. Tom locks eyes with me in the mirror and throws the covers off of himself and comes to my side. "Love-"
"My water just broke." I state as the contraction subsides. Tom's face pales, I slowly stand up and move to place my hand to his cheek. "I need you to go start the car. I am going to change and grab the baby bag-"
"I'll get the bag, you focus on how far apart the contractions are." Tom states, pressing a quick kiss to my forehead before he moves out of the bathroom and out of the room, grabbing a sweater on the way out. I make my way to change into a fresh pair of maternity pants and a sweatshirt before slowly standing from the bed and grabbing my phone. Tom quickly comes up the stairs, Tess on his heels, with his phone pressed to his ear. "Yeah, we will see you there." Tom looks at me as he places a hand on my waist and holds my hand in the other while he helps me down the stairs. "I called my parents and yours, they will meet us there. I texted Haz and he or Mia will let Tess out before coming to the hospital in a few hours."
"Thank you," I breathe. I make Tom stop as I place a hand on my lower stomach, wincing at the contraction. Tom stands by my side, rubbing my back carefully while keeping me steady since we were still standing on the stairs. Once they subside, he helps me walk the rest of the way down and into my shoes, rushing out the door into the bitter February air.
"Today's the day, love." Tom says aloud, but I can see his frazzled state as he takes the familiar route to the hospital. Once there he leaves the car, running inside to grab a nurse. I groan as another contraction occurs, only noticing the door opening when Tom carefully helps me out of the car and into a wheelchair. He hands his keys off to someone and the three of us are rushing into the hospital.
"I hate hospitals." I complain, looking at Tom while they place the I.V. into my arm not long after being settled in the room that would be home for the next few days.
"You're doing well, love, not long now." He whispers, pressing kisses to my cheeks.
As the hours pass, the more anxious I become. Tom has been walking with me up and down the hallways, running through different breathing exercises, dancing with me to help the baby along, and praising me through each contraction.
I let out a groan, shutting my eyes tightly as I press my forehead to his while he runs his hands up and down my back with the slightest bit of pressure. "I can't take it," I whine, tears falling down my cheeks. "Call the nurse, the doctor, anyone, I don't care. I can't do natural, I need the damn epidural," I cry.
Tom mutters a quick, "I'll be back, love." Before someone takes his place.
"Hi, honey," my mom whispers as she pushes the hair away from my face.
"When did you get in here?" I ask, looking up at her.
"Just a minute ago, we all have been taking shifts on who is in here with you and Tom." She states, rubbing the back of my head like she did when I was little.
"It hurts, Mama."
"I know, they will be here in a minute, okay?" She mutters, I nod and focus on my breathing.
Tom returns a few minutes later, followed by my doctor who smiles at me, "Said you wanted an epidural, can you sit up for me? Tom, you will want to be in front of her supporting her." Tom helps me into a sitting position, moving to stand in front of me while I ball up his sweater in my hands and focus on his breathing in front of me. I squeeze my hands together at the pressure in my back until it dissipates, letting out a sigh. "That should start working soon, I'll come back and check you in a few minutes, alright?"
"Thank you, Dr. Wright." Tom whispers, helping me to lay back down on the bed with him positioned behind me to rub my shoulders and press kisses along my shoulder and neck. "I'm sorry, love-"
"Not long now, Holland. Then we can hold our little girl." I whimper, leaning into him so he just holds me. Tom wraps his arms around me before pressing a kiss to my temple. Tom and I stay in that position until Dr. Wright returns to check and see how dilated I am.
"You're about eight centimeters! Within the next half hour we are going to wanna push!" She smiles at us walking out of the room to get ready.
"Ya know? I wanted to record the experience, but I am glad I forgot to bring stuff with us." I laugh half heartedly, laying my head on his shoulder. I whine as Tom moves from behind me so he can stand.
"We can talk about the experience in a video, let's just enjoy our solitude for now." He whispers, kneeling beside the bed before pressing a kiss to my lips.
The half hour rolls by quickly, and soon enough I am getting ready to push. Tom stands by my head, only peeking over the sheet to see how far we had to wait.
"One more push, (Y/N)! She's almost here!" Dr. Wright calls, "Ready?"
I whine as I push again, a sigh of relief escapes my lips as cries are heard in the room, Claire is set on my chest being wiped off quickly. "There you are," I breathe, tears slipping down my cheeks as Tom presses kisses to my hairline. "You're so beautiful."
"She's finally here, love." Tom whispers, tears falling down his cheeks. Tom leans down, cupping my cheeks as he kisses my lips.
"Tom, we need you to cut the cord." Dr. Wright calls, pulling him away from me. Tom is quick to cut the cord before they sweep her away for some final check ups, and the nurse instructs me that I need to push again, then I can finally rest.
I lay my head down a few minutes later, smiling at Tom who is standing slightly behind the doctors while they check our little girl over. I watch as they swaddle her and pass her to Tom, he holds her ever so carefully, smiling down at her as he walks over to sit beside me.
"You did amazingly, love. Look at her, she's perfect." He whispers, handing her over so very carefully. I hold her in my arms, letting out a small sigh, leaning into his side now that he is laying on the bed with me.
"Welcome to the world, Claire Marie Holland."
I open my eyes at the soft light coming from the partially opened curtain. I nuzzle my face back into the pillow and listen the pitter-patter of the rain on the roof and Tom's soft breathing. I roll over carefully as to not jar Tom's arm that is across my back.
He's still fast asleep when I finally am able to roll over completely to look at him. His face is free of worry lines and in the glow of the early morning sun he looks younger, like when I'd wake up next to him when we were thirteen after spending the previous day exploring Kingston. His breath releases from his slightly pouted lips in small puffs, and his ruffled curls spread across his forehead wildly from a long, peaceful nights sleep.
I slowly crawl out of bed, only once I am free from under his arm. I slip on my favorite sweatshirt over my t-shirt and shorts before making my way downstairs to start up the coffee and cook breakfast. I turn on my phone and wait for the notifications to come rolling in from the night before. I stretch my arms over my head before I grab eggs, green peppers, cheddar cheese, and ham from the fridge and begin making loaded scrambled eggs while the bread in the toaster toasts. I hum along to some tune that lingers in the back of my mind while I work and smile at the notification that my and Tom's fans enjoyed the update from last night.
My mind is brought back to Tom and his weird behavior the past few days. Now, Tom is a weird person in general, but the way he had been acting was a little further out of the ordinary.
The first incident happened on the second day of our trip. Tom and I had been wandering through the Portland Art Museum, I wandered away from Tom while he is looking at one piece, over to a painting. As I stand there looking at the piece, admiring it, a man comes to stand next to me.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" The man asks, he glances at me from the side, smiling at me.
"Absolutely gorgeous," my hand lifts to point out my favorite features, "I love how they captured the light coming from the back window, it causes the colors of the flowers to darken on this side, and the way the other light source hits the roses makes them look like they are so much brighter, but it also allows the shadows of the petals to contrast making these parts here and here pop that much more."
"You seem to know some things about art." He says moving to face me, "I'm Jared."
"(Y/N), and I would hope so, my best friend and her little sister are both phenomenal artists."
"That's amazing." He mutters, "Have they ever thought to draw you?"
"Uh, no, why do you ask?" I let out a soft laugh.
"Because you, my dear, are a masterpiece," he states with a smirk.
I blush softly and let out a small laugh. "Well, uh, thank you, I definitely haven't heard that one before."
"Well, I'm sure I could think of more when I take you out this evening, my treat?"
I go to open my mouth to politely decline since I wasn't the one to just go out on dates especially since I was on vacation, but Tom beat me to it.
"This piece looks lovely, darling, no wonder you wandered away." He says, wrapping an arm around my waist and places himself on the other side of me before glancing around me to the man to my right. "Wouldn't you agree, mate?"
Jared nods, and gives me a tight lip smile. "Yeah, dude, looks great." He glances at me softly before nodding his head, "It was nice talking to you, (Y/N), have a nice afternoon."
"Uh, you too, Jared." I say as he gives me a soft wave before leaving the room. I glance at Tom and notice his jaw is set and he isn't really looking at the piece. "Wanna head over to the next room? The Asian art is always really interesting." I ask with a small cock of my head. Tom smiles at me and nods before letting me lead him out the other archway away from where Jared disappeared moments ago.
The second incident happened at the Portland Zoo. Tom and I were wandering through the Africa section, hand in hand. Tom tugged me away from the painted dogs exhibit to walk down to where the giraffes were. Tom and I walk up to the area and I let out a soft, breathy "Wow."
"Turn and look at me, love." Tom says I turn and smile at him as he snaps a photo of me on his phone. After, he pays for me to be able to feed them, taking pictures of me laughing happily as a handler talks to me about the specific giraffe that had walked up to have a nice snack. When Tom and I walk away, we both hear people calling our names, making us come to a soft halt to see a group of teens jogging over to us.
"Holy cow, you're Timelock! And you're Tom Holland! Can - could we get a picture with you two? We promise we won't bother you after." One of the girls asks, bouncing on the balls of her feet.
"Yeah, absolutely!" I say, "Do you want pictures separately or all together?"
"All together is fine," she looks at her group who nod excitedly, "can we get it with the both of you in the picture?" She motions for a woman to walk over and from the looks of it, she was the girl's mother. "Mom, can you take the picture, please?"
The woman nods while we get into our poses, once we are done, Tom and I hug each one of them, once we are done his arm attaches itself to my waist while the group talks to us happily before they bid us goodbye.
"Sorry for bugging you on your date!" The girl, Madison, calls as they walk away. Tom chuckles beside me before waving with me and tugging me back in the direction of the small food court.
"That was fun." Tom mutters in my ear, his lips grazing the shell of my ear, making me blush.
"Gotta love our fans." I reply, looking at him to see the soft smile on his face.
The latest incident happened while we were hiking in Mt. Tabor Park. Tom and I had planned a full day of hiking, including packing a lunch, snacks, and waters so we would be good throughout the day. While we walked, Tom held my hand, helping me over fallen logs and other obstacles by either offering a hand or full on scooping me up bridal style and carrying me over several obstacles at a time.
"Tom," I giggle as he sets me down carefully, "I promise, I'm okay. I can climb over those too, you know?"
"I know, I just love to spoil you, I have to." He teases, smiling at me softly, blowing a curl from off his forehead.
"Well, I don't mind you spoiling me, but I feel like you are going to hurt yourself trying to keep me from injuring myself." I say, retaking his hand as we walk the trail, looking over the hills at the scenery below.
"I won't hurt myself," he scoffs, squeezing my hand and pressing a soft kiss to my temple. We stand there in quiet silence, or as quiet as it can be with other hikers walking up and down the trail.
"Enjoying the view?" Someone calls from behind us, Tom and I turn our head to see two guys walking up the hill toward us. We had passed them a mile back while they were taking a break and checking their map.
"It's gorgeous out here." I call once they are close enough to hear.
"Chris and I come out here every weekend to hike, it's wonderful, something new every time we come." The man puts his hand out, smiling, "The name's Zack."
"I'm (Y/N), and this is Tom." I say, motioning to Tom as I introduce him to the men in front of us.
"Nice to meet you both," Chris says smiling. "We were planning on stopping ahead and having our lunch, we were wondering if we could finish this part of the hike with you two. We enjoy talking with new hikers, hope that doesn't sound too weird."
"No, we would love that, we were going to stop and have lunch soon anyways." Tom says, motioning for us to start back up and continue our hike. While we walk, Tom either has his hand laced in mine or has it on the small of my back under my backpack. This doesn't go unnoticed by the two men walking with us. Once we make it to the eating area, Tom runs off to the restroom while I unpack the baby wipes and our sandwiches from my backpack and pull out a water from his.
"So, who long have you and Tom been together?" Chris asks, causing me to stop and lift my eyes from the task at hand.
"Oh, uh, Tom and I aren't dating. We are best friends." I state.
"Friends don't do what he has been doing with you, sweets." Zack stated.
Chris giggles next to him. "He's had his hands all over you, honey. If that's not obvious flirting then the way he has been talking to you is a definite clue."
"It's really not like that, we've known each other since we were very little. It's just how we interact." I say, brushing a strand of hair that had fallen out of my ponytail behind my ear.
"Well, we are just stating what we see." Zack smiles, "Either way, you two are really sweet together, it's nice to see two people so comfortable together."
I smile at them, but never get to respond because Tom plops down next to me.
"The water doesn't work, you grabbed the wipes right?" He asks, I had him one, "Thanks, love." He leans across and presses a quick kiss to my cheek before we start eating, a blush staying permanently on my cheeks for the next hour.
I let out a sigh, convincing myself that it's just me over reacting to the situations.
"Did you hear what I said, love?" Tom mutters into my ear as his hands find their home on my hips, making me jump and giggle against his chest.
"Sorry, my mind was elsewhere. What'd you say?"
"Just said that it smelled good, but I did miss waking up to you this morning." He sighs, resting his head on my shoulder, wrapping his arms around my waist while swaying us side to side as I continue humming. "What song are you humming, love?"
"Um," I mutter, "Life Changes by Thomas Rhett."
He lets out a hum before unwrapping an arm from my waist to do something behind my back. After a minute, the song I had been humming is playing behind me. I turn and look at him smiling. He sticks his hand out for me and I quickly turn down the burner to take his hand and sway with him to the tune of the song.
"Ain't it funny how life changes, 'y wake up, ain't nothing the same and life changes. You can't stop it, just hop on the train and you never know what's gonna happen, you make your plans and you hear God laughing. Life changes, and I wouldn't change it for the world, the world, oh no-." I sing along before the toast pops out of the toaster, scaring us half to death. We look at one another and laugh at one another before he takes his place at the stove finishing the eggs while I butter the toast and fill our mugs with coffee so we can eat and get our day started.
"I missed that." I hear him sigh behind me, I lean away from the table and look at his bare back in front of me.
"Missed what?"
"Just, missed you, doing things that only we appreciate. The whole works." He says, a small blush coloring his cheeks.
"Missed you too, Tom." I smile, hugging him from behind and pressing a kiss into his tee-shirt covered shoulder.
He hums before patting my hands so I let go and he loads our plates with food. We eat in silence for awhile, scrolling through our phones to see what we had missed the last few days. I go to GameSquad's twitter and giggle at the latest post. "What are you giggling at, (Y/N/N)?"
"Let me read this tweet from GameSquad, I'm sure it's from Jac. 'The fact that everyone is bombarding this page because @Timelock is away on vacation means one thing, she is not allowed to go on vacation again, unless we come with. #whatareyoudoing #gamesquad #weloveyoubut'"
"Oh my God," Tom laughed loudly, wiping a fake tear from his eye. "That's amazing."
"Only my friends," I giggle back, quickly commenting '@GameSquad sorrynotsorry' in the comment section. I let out a sigh and notice Tom watching me, "Whatcha looking at, Holland?"
"Just staring off." He states, rubbing a hand under his nose, "I was wondering what you wanted to do today?"
I sip my coffee and let out a soft hum, "Well, I think it should be done raining soon. I really want to go the Japanese Garden in Washington Park, and I was wondering if we could go to that bar in town that we have passed several times for dinner? Because you and I both know neither of us will wanna cook tonight."
"That sounds like a plan, we will probably want to dress a little more warmly since it's a little cool out." Tom states, wiping his lips with a napkin. "I'll clean up so you can get ready."
"You sure?" I ask standing and scraping what was left in the trash, "I can help clean up."
"No, go ahead and get ready. This won't take me too long." He states, motioning me to go upstairs. I smile and peck the top of his head before ascending the steps. I dig through my drawers looking for something to wear. "Love?" Tom calls.
I walk over to the edge to see Tom looking back up into the balcony. "What's up?"
"I don't think the rain is gonna let up, why don't we just stay in then we can go to the bar tonight and the Japanese Park tomorrow?"
"Okay, I'm up for that, gives me a bit to do some laundry and we can sit on the couch and relax."
"Don't bother changing out of your comfy clothes then, but will you grab my hoodie?" He calls, smiling. I turn and grab it from off the bed and toss it down to him. "Thanks, love. Want me to put in a movie?"
"Please!" I call, grabbing an arm full of laundry before walking down the stairs. Oh what a perfect, lazy day it was going to be.
~
"Ready to go in there?" Tom bangs on the bathroom door, almost messing me up while I fix my hair.
"I'll be out in a minute, asshole." I laugh, curling the last strand of hair before I check my makeup one more time. I smile at my reflection, happy with the way I look dressed in a pair of tight black jeans and a red, lacy shirt where the sleeves stop just above the elbow, the neckline plunging in a deep v. I walk out and find Tom sitting on the bed scrolling on his phone. I grab my ankle boots, sit on the bed next to him to slip them on and zip them up.
"Uh, (Y/N/N), isn't that a little revealing?" Tom asks, his voice shaking slightly as he looks at me.
"It's not that bad, Tommy." I giggle at him as I smile at him. "C'mon, the Uber is here and I don't wanna have to pay extra for making them wait." Tom sighs and follows me down the steps, I turn and admire the dark pair of jeans and burgundy button up tee-shirt he is donning before he hands me my jacket and purse. Tom locks the door behind us as I walk over to the car and smile at the female driver to confirm our ride. We drive to the bar in silence, beside the radio playing in the background. Once we pull up I thank the woman and step out of the car with Tom close to my heels. Tom wraps an arm around my waist and walks up with me to the door.
Inside is a quaint bar, an old jukebox sitting in the corner, two walls are lined with booths, the wall left of the door is the bar, and tables litter the rest of the space. Tom and I walk up to the bar and sitting down.
"Hey, what could I get you two to drink?" The bartender asks, his eyes lingering on my chest, but I decide to ignore it.
"I'll have a (F/A/D)." I say with a small smile.
"And I'll have a beer on tap. We'd also like some menus, we heard the food here is very good." Tom states, his jaw set as he speaks.
"You got it," the bartender, Jeff, states. He hands us each a menu before getting our drinks ready. I glance over the menu and watch Tom out of the corner of my eye. He barely looks at the menu and watches the bartender as he works.
"Tom, did you find something you might wanna get?" I ask innocently, leaning a little closer to him. He looks at me, but shrugs.
"Don't know yet, did you find anything?"
"I think I'll get a cheese burger, just sounds good." I hum, laying my head on his shoulder in hopes that it will comfort him.
"I think I'll get that too, make it easy on them." He states, pressing a quick kiss to my head.
The bartender comes back and sets our drinks down in front of us. "Here you go, did you figure out what you wanted?"
"We both would like the cheese burger, she would not like (Y/L/F/T) on her's." Tom states, handing back out menus.
"Sounds good, those will be out soon." The bartender states before leaving again. Tom lets out a sigh and I lace my fingers into his under the bar. He turns and smiles at me, but his eyes still linger on the bartender down the bar, glaring at his lingering gaze.
As the night goes on, Tom becomes more on edge, making me more annoyed. Whether it's the bartender making comments on my shirt or the lingering gazes of other men in the bar, Tom just can't seem to relax.
Tom squeezes my hand softly, moving to whisper in my ear. "I'll be back, just running to the loo. You think you'll be okay?
"I'll be fine, Tom." I state, faking a smile. He nods, squeezing my hand before leaving. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in, moving the straw around my third drink of the evening.
"I thought he would never leave." I turn to see a guy sitting a chair away. He gives me a bright smile, making me smile back. "I'm Josh."
"(Y/N)," I say, bringing my drink to my lips.
"What is up his ass? If you ask me you look absolutely amazing, and if you were my girl I'd be showing you off."
I let out a laugh, "Tom is just protective."
"Well I guess that is fair, I mean," he licks his bottom lip, eyes lingering on my figure, "look at you."
I feel my face get hot, and I avert my gaze from the man to my left. A soft, awkward laugh escapes my lips. Josh keeps looking at me up and down, biting his lip after a minute before he standing from his chair, taking two strides to stand next to me.
"Why don't we get out of here, I can show you what you're really missing out on in a man." He states, putting his hand out in hopes that I will take it. Instead I feel another hand on my shoulder, squeezing almost too tightly.
"She's not interested." Tom's voice comes from behind me, tone cold.
"I wasn't talking to you-"
"Well, when you get into my girls face, you suddenly are. She isn't going home with you."
"I hope you have a great night, Mr. Holland." The bartender muses, coming into my view, handing Tom his credit card and a receipt before telling us to have a good night. Tom carefully tugs me from my place and hands me my coat before making our way outside. Tom leads me to a car and opens the door for me, he greets the driver, but I don't even hear it. All I can focus on is the anger and embarrassment bubbling up in my veins.
The drive is short, and once we get to the house I get out and walk to the door, waiting for Tom to make his way over to unlock the door. He fishes the key from his pocket and opens the door. I walk in ahead of him, throwing my jacket over the couch and turn to look at him. "Okay, explain to me what the hell is going on with you-"
"He was harassing you so I stepped in-"
"That's not what I am talking about, that I can understand you stepping in." I pace in front of him. "You were being an ass all night: the bartender, the other guys at the bar-"
"I was keeping the creeps away from you!" He tries to reason, waving his hand in the air.
"You don't know if they were creeps, Tom!" I yell, raking a hand through my hair.
"Did you not notice how they looked at you, they were looking at you like you were a piece of meat!" Tom yells tugging at his hair.
"It doesn't matter!" I shake my hand in the air before pinching the bridge of my nose, "I wasn't acknowledging it so why did you feel the need to glare at everyone tonight! We couldn't have just a nice night, out at a bar-"
"I'm a guy, I know what was going through their heads as they looked at you!" He shakes his head and lets out a bitter laugh while he runs a hand through his hair.
"Okay, let's face it, Tom." I pull my hand away from my face and stand unmoving, "I know there is something else going on," I strode forward toward him, fuming. "Cut the bullshit, what is going on in that head of yours, Tom. Why does it bother you so much for someone to be flirting with me-"
"Maybe because it kills me to think of you with someone that isn't me!" He yells, throwing his hands into his hair to tug at the roots. "Maybe I want it to be me, because God dammit, (Y/N), I love you. I've loved you my entire life!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As I finish recording for the day, I let out a soft yawn. I take the time to upload and send my recording over to Alexis before turning my computer off and heading down the hall. I walk past the open door to our little girl's newly furnished nursery, smiling as I see snow beginning to fall in the early December air through the large bay window on the far wall.
I walk over to the crib, white wood with soft plush blankets thrown over the edge, and all the plushies that I had bought were placed in the top right hand corner of the crib. I turn and smile at the room that I had been in almost everyday for the past few weeks, taking tags off of clothes, washing them, packing diapers into the changing table, and organizing everything inside the room. I hum as I walk over to the glider in the corner, curling up in the chair and tugging my phone out of my pocket and scrolling through social media.
The past few months had been easier than the first trimester. Between doctors appointments, going out and decorating the nursery, getting our pictures taken by Harry, and working; the pregnancy had been pretty decent. The only problems that I was having at the moment were intense cravings and my emotions running high. Mood swings galore. Tom had been a champ on helping me left and right, leaving the house at anytime of the night for food runs, popping into my studio to make sure I had everything I needed, and pulling me out of any funk by getting me out of the house for a few hours. Tom had made sure everything was absolutely perfect, being the best boyfriend ever.
"Love, I am home!" Tom's voice carries up the staircase, Tessa's claws clicking against the hardwood until she pokes her head inside the nursery to climb up on the chair and join me. "It seems like I don't even need to ask where you are because Tess has a baby tracker." Tom laughs as he enters the room, backpack over his shoulder.
"She loves her." I state as she lays her head on my bump.
"She does. Now, how are my girls?" Tom asks, sitting on the footstool in front of me.
"We are good, I'm tired, but good." I whisper, moving my hand to cup his cheek. He tilts his head into my hand and smiles at me. "How was the interview?"
"Good, they asked about the baby and how the pregnancy was going. Then they asked about usual stuff for the movie." He hums, placing his hand over mine. "Hey, why don't we cook dinner then watch a movie tonight? A lazy evening with my favorite girls?"
"That would be amazing, I'm craving steak," I giggle.
Tom leans down toward my stomach, smiling as he slides the shirt over my bump. "Why do you make your Mum crave stuff we don't have in the house-" I swat at his head, making him mutter an 'ow.' "And why do you make her so mad at me, I mean really." He looks at me playfully and I roll my eyes at him.
"Lucky for you I went shopping with your Mum and got steaks and some fresh string beans so I think we will be good."
"And we have potatoes in the pantry." He laughs, patting my knee. "Are they in the fridge?"
I nod, slowly unwinding myself from the chair, Tess jumping off the chair as I stand. "I'll come with you-"
"All I want you to do is to sit and look pretty in the kitchen while I cook, okay?" He states, grabbing my hand as we walk out of the room, him turning the light off on the way out.
"Why can't I help?" I laugh as we settle in the kitchen, me sitting at the table while he moves around the room getting everything he needs to cook. "I'm not helpless, Tom."
"I know you aren't, love. I just want you to know how much I appreciate you, just want to care for you."
"You do, you literally leave in the middle of the night and get me ice cream when I am craving it and rub my feet when they swell. You're the absolute best." I smile at him, fluttering my eyes at him and giving him my best pouty-face that I know he can't say no to.
Tom looks at me, a small smile on his face. "Alright, but I'm cooking the steaks."
I laugh as I stand and join his side at the counter, cooking alongside him. We hum along to music that plays softly from the speakers. We bump hips and move about the kitchen in sync. For a stranger, seeing this would have made them think that we were a married couple, that we had been together  for years. In reality, it really felt like that. That was the perk of us being together, it was just natural.
"Tom, Tom, Tom, give me your hand." I whisper excitedly, taking his hand and placing it on my stomach where the baby was kicking.
"We are going to have a little football player on our hands, love."
"Or a dancer," I giggle. The two of us run a hand over my bump, admiring our little love pushing against the skin. "Tom?"
"Yes, love?"
"What do you think of Claire Marie?" I look at him with a soft expression.
His eyes widen, we had been talking about names for weeks and hadn't been able to decide. However, today felt right. "For our little girl?"
"Yeah, Tom," I giggle, placing a hand against his neck, "our little girl."
He smiles as he leans toward me, brushing his nose against mine. "Claire Marie Holland, sounds like the perfect name for her." He leans in to kiss me when the smell of something burning pulls us away. Tom jumps into action and flips the the steaks over as I laugh. He looks at me sheepishly, "That could have been bad."
"It could have, but, it is still going to taste amazing."
"It will, why don't you go pick out a movie and I will finish up in here."
"That I can do." I smile, placing a quick kiss onto his lips before walking away to the living room.
I wake at two in the morning to Claire kicking hard against my stomach. I groan in annoyance, moving the pregnancy pillow away from in front me and slowly getting out of bed, as to not wake Tom from my constant tossing and turning. I stand slowly, using the bathroom before making my way to the nursery. On nights like tonight, I go there, because it reminds me on nights like tonight, that this is where the baby is going to be in only a few months. I run my fingers over where Claire was kicking, wincing as she kicks harder under my hand.
"Little love, Mama needs to sleep, baby." I let out a whine when she kicks me in the ribs, a few tears falling down my cheeks, "Damn, Claire, that really hurt." I raise my eyes when I see Tess poke her head into the room, trotting over and placing her head on my lap when she sees me sitting on the glider. "Hi, darling." I whisper, brushing my hand over her head.
"What are you doing in here, baby girl?" Tom's raspy voice comes from the doorway. He is leaning on the door frame, his hair disheveled, clad in only a pair of sweatpants.
"Little love wants to have all the attention on her." I state, brushing a tear out of my eyes. I let out another groan as she kicks again, "God, I hate this. Not that I hate having her, shes just working those little legs. God, I just want to hold her, Tom." I whine, looking at Tom with sad eyes.
"I know, love, not long now," he whispers. Tom kneels in front of me, running his hands over the bump, Claire kicking under his hands. "Little love," Tom mutters into my stomach, running soft hands across the bump. "You need to settle so your Mum can get a good night's rest, cause we all know we won't sleep once you get here." He chuckles at the last part, looking up at me softly. After a minute of silence Tom lets out a content sigh.
"What're you thinking about, baby boy?" I whisper, running my fingers through his hair.
"Something that I have been thinking about for a long time, I'm going to go grab something. Stay here, alright?" He whispers, softly standing before walking out of the room.
I watch him leave the room, him returning quickly. He moves the footstool from in front of the chair before kneeling down in front of me again, taking one hand in his while placing the other over our growing baby.
"(Y/N)," he looks at me in the eye and starts to chuckle nervously, "I had a whole speech planned, but God knows I can't remember any of it now. Um," he licks his lips, looking to the side out the window before looking back at me. "I am so lucky to have had you in my life for so long. Meeting you at two years old, growing up as my best friend, us never falling apart, instead always falling together. I've known for so long that I know I always want you in my life. I feel like the luckiest guy in the world to get to spend the rest of my life with you, raising our child. I want so much more for our future, and I thank my past everyday, to have you as a part of my future." Tom pulls his hand away from my bump to reach into his sweatpants and pull out a black velvet box. He opens it to reveal a ring that I had shown him when he asked me what types of things I liked. "What I am trying to say is, will you make me the happiest man alive, and do me the greatest honor, and marry me?"
Tears stream down my cheeks as I smile at him. "Yes," I breathe, grabbing his face and kissing him deeply. "Yes, I will marry you."
"Oh thank, God." He mutters, holding me to him. The two of us stay in that position for a few minutes before Claire kicks Tom's hand again. Tom chuckles before leaning down and pressing kisses against my stomach, "You hear that little love? Your Mum is going to marry me, but it is time for bed, little love. Your Mum needs her sleep." Tom smiles at me before helping me stand and dragging me back to bed.
"I love you, Tom." I whisper as we crawl into bed. He wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my neck.
"I love you too, (Y/N), and I love you, little love." Tom mutters while placing a hand on my stomach, pulling me closer. I smile, slowly pulling off the ring off as to not lose it in the sheets. I admire it for a moment before setting it down on the nightstand, falling asleep to Tom's gentle breaths on my neck and the gentle movements of our little one falling asleep beside me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I run my fingers through my hair before unplugging my computer from the socket in front of my seat.
“You alright, (Y/N)?” My mom looks at me, my dad peeking around her as I give her a small smile.
“Yeah, tired is all.” I mutter, as I hand my mom my laptop so I can run to the restroom.
“You sure you’re okay, you have gone to the bathroom several times this flight-” my dad asks, raising an eyebrow as I stand up and step into the aisle.
“Yeah, I’m fine. I mean, this is a six hour flight.” I state walking away before he can make another comment. In reality, my boobs are sore, I am in need of something to settle my stomach, and had to pee. I groan in the bathroom and use the mirror in the bathroom to fix my hair into a sloppy bun before walking back to my seat. I settle back into the chair laying my head against the headrest.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” My mom asks, squeezing my knee.
“My stomach is not happy.” I mutter, catching the attention of a flight attendant.
“Miss, would you like some ginger ale?”
“I would, not too much please.” I whisper. She nods and smiles at me, passing me a small glass, “thanks.”
“You’re welcome, sweetness.” She states before walking back down to where she was supposed to be.
I sip slowly, shutting my eyes. I feel parent’s eyes burning holes into the sides of my head. “Can you both quit staring, I am fine.” I snap, my body making me irritable.
“We are just worried about you.” My mom says, taking my hand that wasn’t holding the glass. I nod in silence, sighing when I hear the announcement that stated that we would be landing in ten minutes. I slowly open my eyes, passing my glass to my mom to lean down and grabbing my backpack from under the seat in front of me to pack my computer and cords inside. After I drink what is left of my pop, shutting my eyes until finally the plane lands.
I couldn’t be more happy to finally be out of the plane. Telling my parents that I would be back in a moment, I run into the nearest restroom, emptying my stomach in the bathroom, and using a dry brush to get the taste out of my mouth and chew on some mint gum before walking out of the bathroom before exiting to rejoin them. My parents look at me, seeing the way my skin has paled in the matter of a few minutes, but decide not to say anything. The three of us make our way through the airport and grab our bags from baggage claim, one bag for my parents, and one bag for me since I would be spending time at Tom’s apartment instead of staying at the Holland’s family home.
I see Harrison sitting on his phone when we walk over to where he had texted me he was picking us up. I walk over and nudge his foot with mine. He looks up with a bright smile, before standing and giving me a hug. “How are you, (Y/N/N)?”
“Could be better, but we are here so that’s all that counts.” I state, pulling away and looking at him. There was a hint of something in his eye, it was a look that said he knew something that he shouldn’t.
“Mr. and Mrs. (Y/L/N), how are you both,” Haz laughs moving to pull them into a hug before taking my bag.
“We are doing really well-”
“Happy to be off that plane.” My dad laughs, as we follow him out to his car.
“Well, it’ll be good to have you around for the week.” Haz laughs. Once we get to his car, he helps my dad put our luggage into the trunk as I crawl into the front seat to sit beside him while he drives. As he begins our trek toward the Holland’s family home, I lay my head against the headrest and watch the world go by. When we pull up to the house, I sigh.
“You good there, (Y/N)?” Haz asks, squeezing my shoulder.
“Yeah, just tired.” I smile. We all exit the car, the sound of the front door opening catching my attention. “My little love!” I call as Tessa leaps of the steps and over to me. She squeals loudly and runs around my legs before stopping in front to me to place her paws on my thighs so she can lap kisses to my cheeks. I run my hands over her fur and kneel in the grass to kiss her head softly.
“Wow, it looks like you love Tess more than you love me.” Tom’s voice causes me to look up at him, smiling. He kneels down in front of me, smiling at me and his dog interacting.
“Hi, handsome.” I whisper, pushing Tessa slightly, her not moving too far from my side as I crawl to wrap my arms around him, basically crawling into his lap.
“How are you feeling?” He whispers into my hair as he holds me against him, Tess whining at the lack of attention.
“Like shit, but we can talk about it later.” I mutter, nuzzling my face into his neck.
Tom nods before lifting his head up and smiling, “Hey (Y/D/N), (Y/M/N), how are you?”
“We are doing good, Tom.” My dad calls, offering him a hand to help him stand after I move away from him before helping me stand as well.
“(Y/N/N)!” I turn to see Sam and Harry jog out of the house with Nikki and Dominic in tow.
“Hey, everyone,” I wrap each in a hug, being careful not to jar myself too much. I look at the group and come to the realization that the youngest Holland is missing. “Where’s Pads?”
“He’s on a camping trip with Grandad and Grandma, he wanted to be here but, you know.” Nikki says, squeezing me into her side.
“Well, he’ll still have fun, that’s all that matters.” I state, looking around at my family.
Tom notices how my face contours into discomfort, he opens his hand to me and pulls me into him, kissing my forehead. “I know we want to spend time all together now that everyone is here, but I think I am going to go back to the apartment with (Y/N). She looks like she needs an afternoon to relax.”
“She really hasn’t been feeling well, might be a good idea.” My mom states, smiling softly at us.
“We will see you all tomorrow, lunch at the apartment, remember?” Tom states, as Harrison joins our side. Everyone voices their goodbyes as Tom grabs Tessa and Harrison opens the back door for me. The three of us wave goodbye as we make our way back to the apartment, and once we do I can finally settle on the couch, Tessa sitting between my legs curled up tightly.
“I think someone already knows what is going on here.” Harrison teases, leaning against the wall.
“What are you talking about, Harrison?” I laugh lightly, rubbing Tessa’s head that is now firmly placed on my stomach.
“You know,” Haz folds his arms across his chest, “Tom is awful at keeping secrets. He had to tell somebody.” He laughs as Tom walks out of the kitchen carrying a mug in hand.
“You little shit! You weren’t supposed to tell anyone yet!” I scold, watching as Tom’s cheeks turn dark shade of red as he sits down.
“Don’t get mad, I had to tell someone and Haz was the best option.” He smiles at me softly, making me sigh.
I roll my eyes and look at Haz over Tom’s shoulder. “You excited to be an uncle again?” I tease.
“Uncle to my best mates’ kid? Hell yeah.” He smiles, shaking his head, “But now I am wondering how you two are going to tell the rest of the family.”
“Well, my brother already knows-”
“You yell at me for telling Haz, but you already told your brother? What the hell!” Tom laughs.
“Well, he couldn’t come on the trip so I took him out to eat and told him.”
“What exactly did you do?”
“I gave him a box that had a bottle filled with Hershey’s kisses in it.” I giggle, “It took him a second then it clicked and he looked at me in awe, and said the next time he sees you he is going to beat you for impregnating me.”
Harrison is laughing wildly while Tom shakes his head, “I think your Dad will get to me first.” He chuckles, pulling my feet into his lap to rub them softly.
“You still haven’t answered my question,” Harrison states, making Tom and I look up at him. “How are you telling everyone?”
~
I move around the kitchen, finishing the last touch frosting on the marble cake. Tom and I had made last night, now frosted with pink and blue frosting on the inside and the top decorated with strawberries and white frosting. I glance inside the oven to see that the baked mac and cheese was almost done and uncover the pot that had barbecue pulled pork inside. As I went to taste the pulled pork, the sweet taste causes my stomach to flip, making me spin around and sprint into the bathroom where Tom was currently taking a shower.
“Love, are you okay?” His voice comes out concerned, starting to get out of the shower with soap still in his hair.
“I’m okay, barbecue didn’t agree with me.” I say, groaning as I empty my stomach for the fourth time that morning. “Just get back in the shower I’m-”
Tom steps out, wrapping a towel around his waist as he pulls my hair away from my face and rubbing circles on my back as I puke again. “You’re alright, we can order something if you need me to?” I gasp for air, his hands leaving me. The sound of the faucet running alongside the shower catches my attention as Harrison calls out my name down the hall.
“She’s in here, Haz! Can you keep an eye on the food?” Tom calls back as he hands me the glass of water. We hear no reply as he goes back to rubbing my back. “You need me to get you anything?”
“No, just finish your shower, I am going to brush my teeth then go back and finish cooking-”
“Let Harrison finish, if it makes you sick again it won’t be good. You need to keep something down.” Tom states, cupping my cheek.
I sigh as Tom presses a kiss to my forehead as I nod. “Okay,” I whisper. Tom smiles as I move to the sink to brush my teeth again as he hangs up his towel again and hops back into the shower. I giggle to myself, while looking at him in the mirror.
“What are you laughing at, love?” Tom calls over the spray.
“Mirror butt.” I giggle again. I don’t have to see Tom rolling his eyes to know he is.
“You’re a weirdo.”
“But you love me ~”
“I do.”
I smile, walking out of the bathroom to the kitchen. Harrison is tasting the pork, smiling and humming in contentment. “Taste okay, Haz?”
“Tastes great, but what can I do to make your life easier?”
“All that needs to be finished is to make the salad and set the table. Everything else is ready.”
“Well, you tell me how you want it done, and I’ll do it.”
Today was a day to remember.
“Darling, lunch was very good!” Nikki smiles as she help my mom and I clean off the table while the boys put the food away and wash dishes.
“I’m glad! Harrison helped me finish everything,” I laugh, seeing Haz smile at me over his shoulder.
“Tom didn’t?” Harry asks, shoving his older brother playfully, only to be shoved back with a laugh.
“Tom was keeping Tess out of the kitchen so she wouldn’t sit and get under foot; but, he did help me with the cake-”
“Which we are having in a little while due to having all the amazing food you made, love.” Tom comes up behind me to peck my cheek. He turns his head so he can whisper into my ear more easily, “Why don’t you setup the camera while we finish cleaning up.”
I nod against his head, pressing a kiss to his cheek, and pass the pile of plates into his awaiting hands. “I will be right back, I have to pee.”
I wander into the living room, positioning my camera carefully to capture our surprise, before making my way to the bathroom. Once done “going,” I walk back and smile at the scene in front of me. Tom, the twins, and Harrison are laughing as they put away dishes. Dom and Nikki are washing/drying while my mom and dad are putting what is left of the food into containers to be stored in the fridge. Tom locks eyes with me and raises an eyebrow, I nod, answering his silent question of are we ready?
“Alright, now that we are done, let’s all get to the living room, (Y/N) and I have a surprise for you all.” Tom states, moving to my side only to press a kiss to my forehead before walking to the closet and pulling out a large cardboard box.
“What are you two doing?” Sam laughs, settling on the floor in front of the couch.
“Didn’t Tom just say that it was a surprise?” I giggle, pushing the box over in front of our parents. I notice Harry pull his camera out of his bag. I look at Tom and smile. “Okay, so we want each of you, besides Sam and Harry because we have separate things for you two, to shut your eyes and pick one thing from the box. Go ahead.”
Each of our parents reach inside the bag and pull out a bag with a number on it.
“Can we open our eyes?” Dom says with a smile.
“You may,” Tom states, watching as our parents laugh and show off their numbers to Harry who snaps a photo. “Now we have to go in numerical order in opening the gifts, so Dad since you have number one, you go first.”
Dominic laughs, pulling out the tissue paper. He shakes his head and rubs his eyes under his glasses before pulling out a plush teddy bear. The bear is wearing a pink and blue bow around its neck.
“Dom, the bear makes a noise if you squeeze it’s hand.” I giggle, leaning into Tom’s side.
He moves the bear and squeezes one side, and it is quiet, so he tries the other side. A heart beat comes through the speaker, making Dom smile. “Why a heartbeat?”
I smile and look at my dad who has the next bag. “Daddy, your turn.”
“You are really not going to answer questions until the end, are you?” He asks as he pulls the tissue paper out. As he sees me shake my head he laughs, digging inside as Tom pecks my temple and quickly leaves my side to get Sam and Harry their surprises. My dad pulls out a frame that could hold three pictures, two of the pictures were already filled. One was of Tom and I at our “wedding” the first time we met and the second was of Tom and I from his movie premiere.
“There is a note, Dad.”
He digs further in the bag and pulls out the note, “It says, ‘One for the (Y/L/N) family home and the Holland family home. The picture that is missing is inside bag number four.’ So does that mean we will have to open four before three?”
“Nope,” Tom laughs, handing both boys a box before looking at my mom. “(Y/M/N), can you open the next one?”
My mom looks suspiciously at us before slowly pulling the tissue paper out of the bag. She laughs when she pulls out two bottles of wine, passing one to Nikki as she reads, “'One for each of our mamas, who raised some pretty amazing people.’ What is going on with you two?”
“Mum, it’s your turn.” Tom said, moving behind me and cupping his hands on my stomach.
I notice Harry has already opened the box, as well as Sam. They both have large grins plastered on their faces and look up at us in disbelief. Harry snaps a few pictures quickly before closing the box back up.
Nikki pulls out the paper quickly, seeing that there is a card and two smaller boxes, one addressed to each family. She passes hers to Dom and the other to my mother before opening the card. She covers her mouth, letting out a laugh. “'Coming this upcoming February…” Nikki opens the card and two ultrasound pictures fall out making our parents gasp as she continues, “'Parents becoming Grandparents.’”
“You’re pregnant!” My mom yells, placing her hands over her mouth.
“I’m the cool uncle!” Harry yells, pulling out a pair of green booties from his box.
“Dude, no, I’m the cool uncle,” Sam laughs, pulling out another pair in purple.
“You’re both wrong,” Harrison says, stepping away from the wall. “I’m the cool uncle.”
I look at our parents, slowly moving away to move closer to them. “This wasn’t planned, hell I think you all know that, but Tom and I are really excited-”
“How far along are you?” My mom whispers.
“About 14 weeks,” I say, then I look at my dad. “Daddy, aren’t you happy for me? For us?”
“That’s why you’re moving to London.” He states, my mom’s eyes going wide.
“You’re what?!” She yells
I take a small step back, Tom’s parent’s eyes wide with their mouths hanging open. “I told you-”
“You said there was a possibility-”
“No, I said that in September I would be.” I state, feeling suddenly overly vulnerable. “I thought- we thought…” I feel tears getting ready to fall.
Tom quickly moves to my side, moving in front of me almost in a manner to protect me. “You can’t be mad at her, I-”
“Yes, you.” My dad states standing. “You impregnate my daughter and you expect us to be okay with it?”
“(Y/D/N)-” Dom tries to cut in but Tom is faster.
“Do you think that I don’t love (Y/N)? Because I have never stopped since the moment I met her. Yes, it is sudden. Yes, it was an accident, but I would not change what has happened. She’s my best friend, the love of my life, and I could not be more excited to have her carrying my child, your grandchild, and if I remember correctly I believe that you and my parents all said it was only a matter of time before her and I got married and had kids-”
“But you aren’t married-”
“We will be!” He states, his voice rising in annoyance, “After he or she is born because (Y/N) doesn’t need anymore stress on her than what she has now.”
The room falls silent, and I slowly wrap my arms around Tom’s middle, my tear stained face pressing into his back. “We decided on London because there are more people we can call, we do not intend to not ever come back to (Y/S). We looked in depth on it a few weeks ago, we decided then too to tell you all about the baby. We were so excited. This doesn’t change anything, because in the end, it was always going to be us together, so having a baby now doesn’t change anything. We want you to be a part of their life.” I turn my head, my eyes finding Nikki and Dom’s watching us. I slowly let go of Tom, moving to stand beside him, holding his hand. “We don’t need your approval on what has already happened, we just want you in their life, because you have done so much for us, and we love you guys.”
Nikki moves from her seat, holding the key chain that had been inside the box, stepping up to me. “I’m excited to 'be promoted’ to grandma,” she whispers, opening her arms to us. I turn and let her pull me into her arms. After a minute Tom, the twins, and Dom join.
Once they pull away I look at my parents. “Mom, Dad?”
My dad looks at my mom before standing and opening his arms. I hug him, but when I pull away I see tears in his eyes. “I’m sorry, (Y/N/N), I know you are going to be a phenomenal mother,” he glances behind me at Tom, “And as much as I am not happy, I’m glad you’re the father. I know you will take care of my little girl, and your little one.”
“Congrats, sister, we are really happy for you. For you both, it just was a bit of a shock.” my mom states, joining my father’s hug.
I laugh, “Yeah, and I got it all on camera,” I point over at it, making everyone laugh. “I might have to do a little more editing to it though.”
After the laughter dissipates, Harry speaks up,“So, when are you going to tell Paddy?”
"Did we pack everything?" I ask, tucking the blanket around Claire's face.
"I think so," Tom mutters behind me as he walks over to rest his head on my shoulder, gazing down at our little love in her carrier. "She's so beautiful, love, just like her Mum." He mutters in my ear, pressing a kiss to my cheek, making me smile.
"She is beautiful, but God knows I look like shit-"
"You do not," Tom states, turning me in his arms, smiling at me. "You look stunning, darling." Tom leans into me and kisses my lips softly, nuzzling his nose against mine before letting me go to grab the bags off the floor. I grab Claire and the three of us make our way down to Tom's car.
"How antsy are our families about having to wait to meet her?"
"Very, they are ready to meet their granddaughter and niece. Everyone is coming over tonight. My Mum said that they were bringing food so not to worry about making anything." He laughs as I finish the paperwork and the two of us head to the lobby. Tom motions me to sit while he goes and checks to see where are car was parked. After he brings the car around, he helps me place Claire's carrier inside then I crawl in next to her. Tom looks back at us before he pulls out of the hospital parking lot and down the road back to our house.
"I think the only one I am nervous about introducing Claire to is Tess. I know she has done well with kids in the past but-"
"I know, I'm a little nervous too, but I think she's going to recognize her immediately." He muses from his place in the front. We drive in silence, I catch Tom looking back at me from the rear-view mirror throughout the drive until he pulls up in front of the house. I let out a giggle when I see a small sign set in front of the house, Welcome Home, Little Holland!
"I love them." I giggle, carefully taking out the car seat as Tom grabs the bags and helps us out of the car.
Tom places a kiss to my temple before walking with us to the door. He unlocks the door and bumps it with his hip calling out to Tessa who is prancing at the front door in excitement. "Tess, back up, darling. Let us through." Tom sets down our bags before taking Tess by the collar so I can set the carrier down and take Claire out. I bounce her against my chest for a moment as Tom brings Tess back. He holds her carefully back before I crouch to the floor.
"Tessa, this is Claire," I coo as Tom brings Tess over to me. She sniffs at the blanket before letting out a small whine and laying her head against Claire's back and laying in my lap.
"I don't think we had anything to worry about," Tom laughs, sitting on the couch, taking out his phone to capture the moment.
"I guess we didn't, but now we have to get ready for the party tonight." I state, puckering my lips to indicate that I wanted a kiss.
Tom leans down to press his lips to mine before softly taking Claire from my arms. "Why don't you shower first, I can keep an eye on her until then."
"I will take you up on that offer," I smile, Tessa jumping on the couch to lay her head on Tom's leg to be closer to the little bundle in the pink blanket. I stand slowly, wincing at the pain downstairs. Tom smiles at me softly, letting out a hum when I drag my fingers through his hair before I walk upstairs for a much needed shower.
A few hours later, the house is bustling with noise, I am upstairs in the nursery, rocking Claire softly after having changed and fed her. I smile as the door creaks open, revealing Tessa who clambers over and rests her head on my leg to look up at Claire. "You love your tiny human, huh Tessa baby?" I coo, brushing a hand over Tessa's head before fixing my shirt.
"Hey, all my loves are in here." Tom muses as he walks in, pressing a kiss to my forehead before pressing the lightest kiss to Claire's.
"Was just about to come downstairs." I say, smiling at him. He shoos Tess to the side so he can help me stand from my curled up position. He wraps an arm around my waist, pulling me to him to where he can look at me and our little girl with ease.
"Are you ready, love?"
"Let's go introduce our little love to our family." I whisper. Tom places a hand on my waist and walks with me out of the room and down the stairs. Everyone gasps as I carry her down.
"Look at her!" Nikki coos, walking over to us.
"She's positively perfect." My mom whispers, placing her hand over her mouth. "Can- can I hold my granddaughter?" I look at Tom, nervous for no reason. He carefully takes Claire from my arms and hands her to my mother. "Oh my, look at you."
I smile at the interaction, but I can't help but want to take her back right away. Tom must feel this, due to him pulling me into his side and wrapping his arms around me. Now without the bump, or not as much of one since the skin was still slowly returning to a similar state, he can wrap his arms around me easily, pulling me in close.
I watch as Claire gets passed around the room, being the stereotypical helicopter parent. After twenty minutes Tom takes the chance to pull me away to get food while my Dad holds onto Claire, he is looking down at here in the softest way a few tears falling down his cheeks.
"Everything is fine, love." Tom assures me as he hums softly, wrapping an arm around my waist again. I hold onto my plate, taking small bites as my Mom rejoins my Dad's side to look at Claire again.
"(Y/N/N)," I turn my head to see my brother, looking at me in curiosity. "Can I hold her?"
"Yeah, go ahead, (Y/B/N)." I state, smiling. I watch as my Dad passes Claire into my brother's arms, he looks nervous but smiles nonetheless. I lean a little closer into Tom's side, "We did good, Holland, we did good."
As the evening continues, I watch as the Hollands take turns holding onto the newest addition to the family, cooing at her as she snuggles up to whoever is holding her until she whimpers for me to feed her again. Tom looks lovingly at the exchange as I take her from Sam's arms and move to one side of the room to feed her.
Paddy plops down beside me to talk to me. "Is it weird?"
"Not as weird as you think, but that could be the motherly instincts kicking in-"
"You have had motherly instincts since middle school, (Y/N)," my brother teases while he leans against the wall.
"Yeah that's true," I laugh, shaking my head. I let out a small yawn, shaking my head softly.
"I think that is our cue to head out, everyone." Nikki calls, smiling at us. "These two, these three, need their rest."
Slowly, everyone helps clean up and says their goodbyes, smiling at us as they leave for the evening.
Tom presses a kiss to my temple, "C'mon, love, bed time." He leads me up the flight of stairs, turning off the lights as we go. We walk into the nursery and set her inside the crib, checking to make sure the baby monitor was working. "Look at her love, we did that."
"She is going to be the happiest baby ever-"
"Or as happy as we can keep her." Tom laughs quietly before wrapping an arm around my shoulder and kissing my temple. "C'mon, love, we should get to bed since we know we will be back here again fairly soon."
"A few more minutes, I just want to look at her a little more. She won't stay this little long." I mutter, leaning into his side.
"Okay, love, a few more minutes."
~
I wake to Claire whimpering through the monitor. I glance at the clock and see that it is three a.m. on the dot. I crawl out of bed without jarring Tom and walk down the hall. Tessa lifts her head from where she is laying in front of the crib, making me smile. "Protecting little love, Tess?" I whisper, walking over and carefully as I can, lift her from her position and bring her to my chest. She eats easily, and I walk up and down the hall needing to not fall asleep while she suckles. Halfway through I burp her carefully before letting her return to her task.
Once she is done she begins to fuss. I walk downstairs, hoping to not alert Tom that she was being fussy. I find myself in my recording room, which had been moved only a few weeks ago, looking at the pictures that lined the bookshelves. "You see these people right here?" I whisper, moving her so she can see a picture of Tom and I from when we were kids. "That's Mama, and Daddy. We have know each other for a very long time. We love each other as much as we love you." I whisper, placing the picture back on the shelf before I continue to walk around the room.
I sigh as she whimpers against my chest more, I look at my computer and take a minute to think how loud it was when it starts. I walk over and turn it on. Claire is quick to calm down, making me smile. I carefully set her in the bassinet that sits next to the desk. I watch as the screen lights up softly. In that moment, I make a decision. I set up my space, opening programs I hadn't opened in almost two months and click record.
"Hey guys, you're on with Timelock. It's about, three thirty-seven in the morning, and I have been home for a little more than twelve hours." I yawn in front of the camera, rubbing my eyes. "I wanted to update you guys on what is going on, and yes I am in pjs." I let out a small laugh before leaning out of the frame to carefully pick up Claire, who has let out a small whimper, from out of the bassinet. "This little bundle is mine and Tom's little girl. Little Claire Marie was born at four fifty-six a.m. on February 17th. She weighed 3.5 kilograms or 7.5 pounds. She had a bit of a rough start, but met all of her family today when she got home, Tessa not leaving her side for a second. She is actually laying on the floor because she heard me get up and wanted to see the baby." I let out a small laugh, carefully shifting to show little Claire to the camera. I turn my head hearing the door open, revealing Tom dressed in a pair of sweatpants and a black t-shirt.
"What are you doing, love?" His voice rasps as he walks in. He notices my monitors turned on before letting out a laugh, "You really missed recording that much that you have to record at almost five in the morning?"
"I couldn't sleep," I giggle, "Correction, she couldn't sleep and I didn't want to wake you if I went to rock her in the glider." I smile as Tom presses a kiss to my head, motioning me to stand. He seats himself in my chair before placing a cushion on his lap so I can sit comfortably. "We are not going to explain how much pain I am in." I giggle while I look at the camera. "I guess Tom is joining me for the remainder of the video. I just want to say that the next few weeks, I know videos are going to run out. I will try my best to get videos uploaded but as we all know, there is another person that needs my attention. I will also be missing PAX East for obvious reasons, but I absolutely love you all and I cannot wait to share this new chapter in our lives with you. Well, as much as I am willing to anyways." I giggle, Tom laying his head to my shoulder. "But it is late, the clock is ticking, thanks so much for watching. I have to get these two to bed. I love you all and I, er we, will see you in the next one. Time resume." I state, finishing my outro with a small wave. I lean back into Tom's chest, smiling softly.
"Can we go to bed now?" Tom whispers, hugging me softly.
"Yeah, can you turn off my camera? I'll send it to Alexis in the morning." I ask, slowly standing as to not jar the sleeping baby in my arms.
Tom nods softly, muttering a "It is morning," as I walk from the room climb the stairs and place Claire back in her crib, smiling down at her.
"God, she's beautiful." Tom mutters as he wraps his arms around my waist, kissing my neck.
"She is, and she won't stay this little for long," I whisper.
"Which is why we should savor this moment, love."
"Tom?"
"Yes, (Y/N)."
I turn in Tom's arms, looking up at him to see the small speckles of facial hair dotting his cheeks and chin, the bags beginning to form under his eyes from the past few nights spent at the hospital, and yet, he still looked positively handsome. He is my best friend, and I have never not loved him. "I love you, Tom. I've loved you my whole life, and I cannot wait to be your wife."
He smiles at me, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. "And I cannot wait to be your husband, I love you so much, (Y/N), so very very much." He leans into me and presses the softest kisses to my face, making my eyes flutter shut. "Time for bed, bug."
Tom leads me down the hall back to our room, tucking us into bed before turning of the lamp on his side of the bed. I tuck my head under his chin and listen to the sound of his breathing to put me to sleep. There was nothing like having the love of your life sleeping beside you, and a tiny human that was a mixture of the two of you sleeping soundly down the hall.
Chapter Six: How Could I Not Love You?
Word Count: 3073
Prologue   Ch 1   Ch 2   Ch 3   Ch 4   Ch 5
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I take a step back, "You, what?" I whisper, looking at him with my eyebrows knitted together, my hands unclenching.
"I love you." He whispers, moving toward me, cupping my face. My lips quiver and I pull away from him, running my hands through my hair.
"No, no, no, you can't." I try and reason, my mind not being able to comprehend what he was saying.
"Why the hell can't I?!" He fumes, moving toward me again, catching my arm as I try to go up the stairs to hide.
"It's not fair!" I yell, a few tears falling down my face as I spin around to face him, yanking my arm from his grasp. "I have been pinning over you for years!" I place my hands on his chest to push him away, but he catches my wrists, holding me there. Frustrated tears begin to fall down my cheeks, "And here you are telling me that you love me. I'm just me, Tom."
"(Y/N)..." he breathes, he lets go of one of my wrists. They fall to my sides as his thumbs brush against my face to wipe the tears away.
"You shouldn't love me, Tom." A sob escapes my lips as I lift a hand to cover my mouth. "I don't fit in your world. The only reason we are still friends is because we don't know how not to be. How can you love me?" I whimper, my greatest fear about our relationship out in the open. In reality, I was terrified to lose him. Tom is my rock, my late night pick-me-up, my everything. Without him, what did I have?
"How could I not love you?" Tom whispers, cupping my face, not forcing me to look at him, "You're my best friend. You know when I need you, even if it's just leaving me voicemails to make my day better. You drop plans and make time to fly out when I am stressed. You talk me down when I am on edge and make me think rationally. You," he lets out a sigh brushing his thumbs under my eyes gently, "you are the one person I can rely on and can confine in and I would be so lost without you." Tom lets out a soft laugh, shaking his head. "And you don't fit? (Y/N), that is such a lie. You have always fit in my life, hell I can't remember a time you weren't in my life. My friends are your friends. My co-stars ask about you all the time, doesn't help that I talk about you all the time. My, no, our fans love you! Have you not seen all the fanart and edits that they make of us?"
We both let out a wet laugh, my hand finding its place on top of his on my face, finally meeting his eyes for a minute. "Those make the days that I miss you so much better, next to being able to actually talk to you, of course."
Tom smiles at me, "And, my family loves you. You sometimes know more about them then I do. Hell, sometimes I think they love you more than me." He laughs, his hand that isn't covered in my own moves to my waist.
"Tom," I whisper, hand moving from on top of his hand to wrap around his wrist. "I- I."
"Say it," Tom breathes, his forehead pressing into mine. I can smell the alcohol on his breath, but his cologne overpowers my senses, and in the moment I can't focus on anything else except him surrounding me.
I let out a soft laugh, my nose brushing against his. "I love you, Tom." With that, my back is against the wall and his lips are pressing against mine. The kiss pouring all our unspoken emotions out into it. It's not like any kiss I have had. Some can be hot and passionate, soft and barely there, or the most awkward thing that any person can experience. Kissing Tom was like coming home for the first time in a long time. It was comforting, filled with love, and made me feel like letting go would never be an option again. My hands tangle into his hair, pulling him as close to me as I could while his hand on my waist tightens. A soft gasp leaves my mouth at the feeling and Tom takes the chance to deepen the kiss. The two of us stay like that for what feels like an eternity, but we have to eventually part for air. We pull away panting, his forehead pressed to mine with tired smiles grace our bruised lips.
"I've wanted to do that for so long," he pants, smiling at me.
"That is definitely better than what I imagined," I giggle, brushing my nose against his.
"Oh, so you've imagined kissing me?" His voice deepens, lips grazing against my neck and collar bone, my own body reacting by revealing more of my neck to him. Tom continues to kiss my skin before trailing his lips up to my ear, "What else have you imagined? Because I've imagined a lot." He states as his hands squeeze my hips.
"I don't think I should answer that question," I giggle as my fingers hook around the collar of his shirt.
"Oh, love," he mutters, " 'think you just did." I let out a squeal as he lifts me up under my thighs to wrap my legs around his waist. "And I think we have a lot of time to catch up on."
~
I let out a pained breath as the growing headache pulls me from pretty painted dreams that would never happen. I peel my eyes open and notice a glass of water and two pain killers waiting on the bedside table. I lean across slowly and take the glass and pain killers, quickly swallow them down in hopes they will relieve the throbbing in my skull. I roll over and stare up at the ceiling, grimacing to myself at the pain, trying to recall the previous nights events. We went to the bar, some guy tried to get me to come home with him, Tom and I fought, Tom-
My mind catches up with my body, Tom whispering against my lips, "I don't ever think I can live without you."
I turn my head to see that Tom was no longer in bed, his side almost cold. I roll to the side and slowly stand. My legs ache as I grab Tom's sweatshirt that was laying crumpled on the floor when we had changed last night to go to the bar, and change into a pair of underwear. I spot Tom sitting downstairs with his head in his hands when I look over the balcony. I carefully walk downstairs and make my way over to him, my footsteps light against the hardwood flooring.
"Tom?" I say, softly grabbing his shoulder.
Tom jumps under my hand, moving almost so quickly that he nearly rips my hand off his shoulder. When he looks at me I notice the fear and worry in his eyes. "(Y/N), I didn't realize you woke up." He wipes his eyes softly before forcing a smile on his face.
"You okay?" I ask, moving so that I am standing beside his chair and not behind it.
Tom sighs, shaking his head as he shifts to he is facing me. He hangs his head "I'm so sorry. (Y/N), I don't know what came over me last night-"
I brush my hand through his bed head, "Tom,"
"You wanted to wait til marriage and I took advantage-"
"Tom, listen to me," I state, taking his chin in my hand and forcing him to look at me, "I trust you with my life, have for a very long time. I have no regrets about what happened last night." I watch as his body relaxes, a few tears slip down his face and I replace my strong hold on his chin with both my hands cupping his jaw. "I trust you with everything that I have, and if it were anyone, I'm glad it was you." His eyes shut and he turns his head to press a kiss into my palm. "I love you, Tom."
"I love you too, (Y/N), so much." Tom's voice cracks at the end, but he has a soft smile on his face. Tom tugs me by my thighs to pull me between his legs to hug me, his head resting on my stomach. I smile at the feeling of his hands, one resting on my thigh and the other that had slid under his sweatshirt to rest on the small of my back. I run my fingers through his hair until he pulls me so I'm seated on his lap, giggling. He nuzzles his nose against mine before letting out a laugh. "God, it took us so long to admit that we loved each other." He buries his face into my neck, holding me close to him. "Why did we ever think that we needed to hide that from one another?"
"I have no clue," I hum, wrapping my arms around his neck, holding him close, "but I am glad we got that all figured out. Especially since everyone already thinks we are dating anyways." I giggle, smiling when Tom presses lingering kisses over already darkening bruises along my skin.
"Little lovely wife." He hums, making me laugh louder.
"I think we are a little further away from that at this moment in time-"
"A lot closer now than it was when we were two," he mutters before pulling away, looking at me. "Love?" I let out a soft hum, running my hands through his hair again. "Would it be appropriate to ask my lovely lady out on a date?"
"I would love that, baby boy." I muse.
"Please, don't call me that," I open my mouth to protest but he smiles up at me, "in public. I will never live it down if anyone else hears it."
"That I can handle," I giggle smiling at him. "But can we get food first, I'm hungry." I pout my lower lip out, Tom brushing his thumb over it, smiling gently.
"How about we go out to eat this morning then we go to the Japanese gardens this afternoon?" He nuzzles his nose against mine, before pressing a tender kiss to my lips.
"Sounds perfect," I whisper, smiling at him, "But, I'm going to hop in the shower first." I pat his chest, climbing off his lap, only to be caught by his hand.
"Can I join?" He wiggles his eyebrows at me making me laugh.
I bend forward, teasing him by biting my lip before whispering in his ear. "Nice try, Holland, but not happening." I turn and walk back to the stairs and walk up to the bathroom, glancing at Tom before I enter the room, seeing him turned in the chair, arms folded over the top, smiling at my retreating figure.
Tom and I walk hand and hand into a small cafe in town, Tom only letting go to open the door for me.
"(Y/N), Tom! Hey!" Tom and I turn to see Chris and Zack sitting in a booth, the one behind them being completely vacant. I motion for him to follow me and we toss our coats into the booth before walking over to say 'hello' to our friends from the park.
"Hey, guys! What have you two been up to?" I ask as I hug Chris, Tom shaking Zack's hand.
"Oh, just work, we decided we needed a morning out so we decided breakfast then we would go to the art museum. What about you two?" Chris answers before hugging Tom as I hug Zack.
"We are headed out to the Japanese gardens after we get breakfast, we were sick of our usual breakfast routine." I giggle, Tom returning to my side.
"Why don't you two sit with us, we wouldn't mind the company. Also this place gets busy and an extra booth open would help then out." Zack says with a grin. Tom and I look at each other before he grabs our stuff while Chris moves to sit next to Zack.
"I mean, we wouldn't mind joining you, as long as you really want us to." I state with a smile. The boys nod as we slip in the seat, a waitress trotting over to bring their drinks and get ours since the guys had only recently got here.
The four of us look at our menus as the waitress sets down a coffee for both Tom and I before moving to another table.
"Something is different about you two." Chris wiggles his finger at us.
"Well, um..." Tom chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck.
"I know what it is," Zack states, sipping his coffee, "(Y/N), dear, you may want to fix your shirt a bit. Have a nice hickey showing." Tom glances down and is quickly helps me fix my shirt, blushing wildly.
"You two did," Chris audibly gasps, "the dirty?"
Tom and I laugh, trying to figure out what to say before I place a finger to my lips smiling.
"We are proud of you, and it's good to see you both happy and together." Zack smiles.
Tom looks at me, smiling before lacing his hand into mine. "It took us a lot of time, but we finally figured it out."
"Sometimes love happens that way," Zack says, his arm sliding across the back of the booth to wrap around Chris' shoulders, making Chris blush.
My mouth falls open, but it changes into a bright grin. I turn my head to look at Tom, his eyes meeting my own. "It really does."
After about 2 hours of talking, laughing. and eventually exchanging numbers, Chris and Zack offered to drive us to the Japanese gardens so we don't have to get an Uber.
"Have a nice day, you two!" I call, waving at them as they drop us off.
"You too! And remember to keep in touch! I mean, we will check social media but we wanna know how you two are doing normally!" Chris calls before pulling out.
Tom squeezes my hand, looking at me with the softest expression. "C'mon, love, let's go exploring."
~
I smile as I look at myself in the mirror later that evening, dressed in a pair of black booty shorts and one of Tom's v-neck shirts. I brush my fingers over the darkening skin along my neck and chest, blushing at the memories from the night before. I bite my lip before grabbing my phone, only to notice that Tom had tagged me on a post on Instagram.

"I see you've seen my post," Tom's arms wrap around my waist, kissing my neck delicately.
"You really are a sap," I giggle, leaning back into him. I kiss his jawline, cupping the opposite side of his face. "And are horrible at keeping secrets. I thought we were going to wait to tell everyone, or at least tell our parents before we told everyone else."
"Well, technically I didn't tell anyone-"
"You implied it, basically the same thing-" I giggle in his arms as he peppers kisses from my jawline, down my neck, and back up again.
"You did say that everyone thinks that we are dating," Tom turns me around in his arms before kissing me, smirking against my lips. "So I thought we would speed up the process. Besides, our mums already knows that we are dating-"
"And how is that?" I tease, running my fingers through the hair on the nape of his neck.
"I may have sent one of the pictures of us kissing to my mum, who sent it to your mum," Tom chuckles, blushing.
"Who were you planning on sending it to?" I ask, tilting my head to the side.
"Harrison," he states, looking to the side.
"One more question," Tom playfully rolls his eyes in front of me, "Why were you planning to send a picture to Haz?"
"He said I had to send him proof if I got the balls to either tell you I loved you or kissed you. And I figured a picture of me kissing you was better than a picture of you laying in bed after last night's events." Tom states, biting his lip.
I blush wildly, turning my face away from him. Tom cups my cheek, turning my face back to face him. He smiles at me gently, brushing his thumb against my lips, before dipping his head down and kissing me again. I hum against his lips, tugging him closer by the chain around his neck as he lifts me up on the bathroom counter. I pull away giggling, pressing my forehead to his, causing him to pout at me. "You set me in a bit of a puddle."
Tom chuckles with me, smiling at me. His eyes are bright, swimming pools of hot chocolate, that in the sun shined and sparkled.
"Tom?" I mutter, he lets out a hum in response. "I um, was wondering, if um." I let out a laugh, Tom lifting his head to look at me carefully, "Could we, maybe, try last night again?"
Tom's cheeks flush a dark shade of red. "Are you sure, we don't have to do anything you aren't comfortable with-"
I cut him off with a kiss, smiling into it. I press my forehead against his, "I trust you with my whole life, Tom. And we did say at one point in our lives that the plan was to spend the rest of our lives together," I lean toward his ear, "so why wait?"
Tom lets out a deep chuckle before lifting me up, making me squeal, carrying me to our room. "God, I love you."

Chapter Three: Just Like Old Times

Prologue   Ch 1   Ch 2
Tumblr media
(Y/B/N): your brother's name
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"So, where is Tom taking you two?" My mom asks as she slides the roasting pan into the oven.
"Boy won't even tell me," I giggle, "He wants it to be a surprise." I move to grab the rolls from the bread drawer, noticing the note on the counter from my Dad saying that he would pick up Tom from the airport knowing that I had been busy preparing for the two week long vacation with little to no distractions. It is going to be a nice break from everything.
"Nikki called and said that he has been asking and talking to her nonstop about it, but she won't share anything with me until you two leave tomorrow."
"Damn, even Mum knows?" I laugh, moving to set the table so the five of us can eat. "Is (Y/B/N) coming tonight?"
"No, he had to work late, so it'll just be the four of us," my mom states as she gets the pan that has the steaks on them while I grab the last plate. "Do you want to put these on or should I?"
"I can get them," I say, reaching out for the pan and taking them out through the garage to the backyard where the grill has been heating. I carefully place the steaks on the grill and go inside to grab a beer, the way dad always does. After about ten minutes, the garage door begins to open, revealing my dad's car with him and Tom in the front seat. Tom waves frantically making me giggle as he jumps out of the car to run over to me.
"Hey!" he exclaims as I throw myself into his arms, my arms wrap around his neck and my legs around his torso. He laughs as he grabs my right thigh to keep me in place and his other arm wraps tightly around my back. He lets out a small groan as he sways us from side to side. "This is definitely what I needed after not seeing you for months," he mutters into the skin of my neck, pressing a lingering kiss there.
"Me too, Thomas," I whisper into the side of his head. I peek behind him to see my dad pulling Tom's suitcase out of the trunk of his car, he's smiling at Tom and I. "Daddy, the steaks are on the grill, do you want me to keep watching them or do you wanna take over?"
He laughs at me, shaking his head at my position, "I can take over. How long have they been on?"
"About ten minutes," I say, tapping Tom's arm in a way to tell him that I wanted down. Tom helps me back to the ground before turning toward my dad.
"Thanks, Dad, for picking me up and grabbing my bag," he chuckles, taking the bag from him. I dig in my pocket and hand him my keys so he can place his bag in my car, the Iron Spider Funko Pop keychain bumping against the inside of his palm. Tom looks at me and rolls his eyes playfully at me, "I guess you want me to put my suitcase in your car?"
"Well, I'm not going to do it." I tease, folding my arms across my chest while smirking at him. He looks me playfully before placing his bag on the ground, throwing me over his shoulder; re-grabbing his bag before walking out to my car. "Tom, put me the fuck down!" I squeal as he walks toward my car, my dad laughing loudly behind us. Tom unlocks and opens my trunk to set his bag inside easily. "TOM!"
"Okay, okay. One second, bug." Tom laughs. When he sets me down, he gives me a big cheeky grin before pulling me into another hug, running his hand up and down my back. "I'm so happy we are taking this vacation together."
"Me too, but I am still curious on where we are going-"
"Nope, that's a surprise." He states, smiling at me, tugging me back inside to see my mom.
She smiles at us when we walk in, "Tom! How was your flight?" she asks, walking over to him to pull him into her embrace.
"The flight was fine, Mum, I'm just glad to be back." Tom states squeezing my mother back.
"Well, dinner will be ready soon so why don't we all settle at the table." Mom states, motioning us to go sit down. I smile at the way Tom interacts with my parents and I let out a sigh. It was going to be a nice afternoon.
~
"We will call you tomorrow when we land!" I holler to my parents as the two of us head back over to my car so I can finish working. Tom's hand squeezes mine before parting with me to get in the passenger seat. Once inside, I start the car and turn down the blaring radio before backing out of the driveway to make way to my apartment.
"So, what are we doing with the rest of the evening? Besides packing your bag." Tom teases, moving to switch the radio off and turn on his own music from his phone.
"Well, I have to record and edit one more video, then yeah, I need to pack my bag. I placed everything on my bed of what I could bring with me, can you tell me if I was wrong to put those things out or not?" I shoot back, stopping at a red light
"I can do that, but only if I can be in the video," he states, giving me a cheeky grin.
"That I would be okay with. It's been a long time since you did a video with me. However, it is just an announcement video, so I don't know how entertaining it will be." I state, turning into the apartment complex.
"That's why I'm in the video, to give it more ratings." He laughs, making me roll my eyes as I park in front of my apartment.
"Sure, dude, whatever you say." I laugh, turning off my car and hopping out of my seat. Tom chuckles back, following me out and grabbing his bag from the trunk before making our way to my apartment. The two of us clamber the two flights of stairs, joking around the whole way to my door. I stick my key inside the sticky lock and wiggle it until it clicks. I kick my shoes off under a shoe rack that sits inside the hall closet, motioning Tom to follow my actions then follow me into the living room/ kitchen area. The space is simple, decorated with a plain black leather couch and love-seat, a coffee table sits in front of both with a t.v. placed on the opposite wall. The kitchen is standard, nothing special, and if I were going to be living here for the rest of my life I would have redone it the week I moved in.
"This is not how I thought your flat would look like. Its so, plain." Tom comments as he steps in, looking about the room.
"Yeah, but I don't spend a lot of time in the living room, most of the time I eat in my office or I just sit on the counter in the kitchen and eat." I state, motioning him to follow me down the hall to my room.
"I can understand that, but it's still strange that you didn't give it a you touch." Tom comments as he follows me down the hall, looking at the walls covered in game and movie posters as we make it down to my room. I open the door and reveal the mess on my bed covered in clothes, folded and ready to be packed away in my suitcase. My backpack sits at the foot of the bed, partially packed for the trip. Tom places his bag next to my backpack before stretching his arms over his head. "Want to record the video first then I can help you pack?" He asks, his right eyebrow raised in question.
"Sure," I beckon him to follow me and I walk out of my room and down the hall a little further to my studio.
"Now this is definitely your style," Tom laughs as he follows me inside. I watch as he spins in a circle and looks about the room. As he does, I take the four strides back over to my desk and start up my computer. When I turn and look back at Tom, I see him at one of the book cases, looking at the picture of him and I when my family and I had visited him for his first night performing in Billy Elliot. "I remember this. I almost cried when I saw you running over to me." Tom laughs slightly, carefully placing the picture back where he had found it.
"I was so unbelievably proud of you, it took everything I had to not tell you we were going to be there." I smile, he returns it before walking over to my side. I turn slightly and begin setting up my computer, new notifications popping up as I waited for the software to load. "Can you grab my camera from over there so I can set it up?" I ask, pointing in a general direction. Tom doesn't respond but the shuffling behind me tells me that he was doing what I asked. After a minute, a camera is being shoved in my face, causing a laugh to leave my parted lips. "Thanks, Tommy." I stand and place the camera on the tripod behind my monitor before going to sit back in my chair, only to sit on Tom's lap. A squeak-that-turns-into-a-laugh falls past my lips, my head falling back against his shoulder. "I should have known you would sit down."
"What can I say, this chair is far more comfortable than a fold up chair," he teases. He wraps an arm around my waist and places his head on my shoulder while I finish setting up, taking the last steps before we can record.
"I am gonna grab a drink then we can record, m'kay?" I say, patting his hand to tell him to let me stand. He hums and lets me up, swatting my hand away when I ruffle his short curls. I walk out and head down the hallway to grab my reusable water bottle from off the counter and fill it to the brim, taking a long swig before returning to my studio. I pause just outside the door to hear Tom talking, realizing that he started recording without me.
"Hey guys, you're on with me, Tom Holland. TL left me in her studio to do something that isn't important. So, I figured since she had the whole thing set up, I would just start without her. I actually am going to be stealing your precious Timelock for the next two weeks to go on an adventure. Yes, you heard me right, I am making her take a break-"
"Tom, what are you doing?" I tease loudly from the hallway before walking in and acting shocked that he had started the recording without me. "DUDE!" I squeak as I quickly make my way over to him to playfully swat at him. "You're supposed to wait for me!"
"Well, I was ready to start!" He counters, tugging me down into his lap.
"Whatever," I mutter before turning my attention back to the camera. "Well, what Tom was telling you all is correct. After a long year of him acting and not seeing each other we decided that we needed a break, and why not take it together. So for the next two weeks him and I will be offline, for the most part. Yes, you will still be getting videos, I have everything set up for when we leave that you all will get the usual content. No, I do not know where we are going."
"I planned the whole trip," Tom comments.
"Yeah, so I have no clue what we are doing, but I am looking forward to it."
"It'll be great." Tom says with a smile, leaning his head into mine.
"But guys, that is all we have for this announcement video, the clock is ticking and, I still have to pack. Thanks so much for watching, and I- we will see you in the next one. Time-"
"Resume." Tom says pointing at the screen with me. "That was quick."
I end the video and sigh. "Glad we only had to do it in one take." I laugh, pulling the camera down and send the recording to my software. As we wait for it to load the two of us just talk about nothing important. After watching it through, I add it to my uploading schedule for tomorrow and turn everything off. "Can we go look at my clothes then we can watch a movie?" I ask as I get off of Tom's lap, stretching my arms over my head.
"Sure, but 'm picking the movie." Tom teases, following me out of the room, turning off the light behind me.
The London weather is wet and dreary, mirroring how I felt after a long semester of classes. Rain splatters against the windows of the airport as I slip my backpack off of my shoulders and set it on top of my suitcase that sits at my side. I slide my phone out of my back pocket, unlocking it to reveal a picture of my best friend and I from a few years back. It had been winter break, I was exhausted from weeks of exams and papers, and he decided that he was done waiting for our schedules to work with each other, that he would just fly out and spend the break with me. I was on his back, the crooks of his arms placed behind the back of my knees while my arms were wrapped around his neck loosely. I was wearing a reindeer antler headband with my hair curled in loose ringlets and an ugly Christmas sweater that matched his. We looked so happy, especially since it had been almost three years since we had seen each other in person due to schedule conflicts.
I scrolled through my contacts and clicked on his name, ready to brace myself for an assault of questions.
It rang twice before his voice came through the speaker. "Hey, (Y/N)! How's my favorite girl?"
"I-" I take a breath to settle the shakiness of my voice, "I'm okay, how are you?" I bring my hand to my lips to bite the nail.
"I'm good, Harrison and I are just watching a movie. Is there anything that I can do for you, or do you just miss your favorite Brit?" He teases, Harrison's laugh echoes through the receiver.
"Actually, I, uh, was wondering if you could do me a favor?" I whisper into the speaker, not trusting my voice anymore.
"Sure, love! What can I do?"
"Can," I take a breath, a few tears slip down my cheeks as my voice cracks. "Can you pick me up from the airport?"
"You're in London?" I hear the sound of him shuffling in the background, "(Y/N), are you crying, what happened-"
"Tom," I let out a short breath, "please."
I hear Tom let out a small sigh. "I'll be there in twenty, I'm grabbing my keys right now." I hear Tom pull the phone away from his face, "Harrison, I'll be back in an hour, I'm picking up (Y/N) from the airport." I can hear Harrison say something in the background but I am unable to make it out. "Hold tight, okay? Do you want me to stay on the line?"
"No. No I'll be fine, but Tom?"
"Yeah?"
"Thanks."
"Anything for you, (Y/N)." He says, I can hear the smile in his voice. "I'll be there soon."
When Tom's car pulls up, the rain had lightened up a little bit. I grab my backpack and suitcase as he gets out of his car, and walk outside quickly into the dreary night. He grabs me with one arm, hugging me quickly. He nuzzles his face into my neck before pulling away and looking at me. "Hop in, bug," he mutters before taking my suitcase from my hand and placing it in his backseat. I quickly move around the front of his car before I slip into the front seat, shivering against the heat coming from the vents.
"For it being May, I didn't think it would be this cold, but I guess it's more the rain than anything else," I mutter as he hops in, watching as he turns and grabs his Spider-Man sweatshirt from the back seat, handing it to me. "Damn, you know me too well."
"I've known you my whole life, I should." He retorts with a laugh. I slip on the hoodie, zipping it all the way up to the top before he pulls me over and hugs me awkwardly over the front console. "God, I missed you," he whispers, placing a hand behind my head to pull me closer. "And not that I am complaining, but why are you here? I thought you were starting your final clinicals this week?" He pulls away to look at me in the eye, they swim with worry.
I let out a breath, tears beginning to stream down my cheeks for the third time today. Tom quickly swipes his thumbs under my eyes, giving me a small smile to reassure me. "I messed up," I whimper, "I was working, so hard, and I couldn't keep up." I shake my head as more tears fall. "I missed passing my class by two points, two fucking points!" A hiccup interrupts my explanation, "I'm so stupid-"
"(Y/N), you are not stupid-"
"But I took all those classes, spent all that time, and I failed."
"You did the best you could," he reassures, cupping my jaw with gentle hands, "and for working your ass off I couldn't be more proud. Everything will be okay." He presses a soft kiss to my forehead before looking back at me. "Let's head home, yeah? We can get you into warm clothes, I'll make you a cup of (Y/F/H/D), and we can watch a movie." He hums, pushing a strand of hair behind my ear.
"Sounds perfect." I whisper, sniffling.
He smiles at me one more time before removing his hands from my face and motions me to buckle up as he starts the trek back to his and Harrison's apartment. The drive was quiet, minus the radio playing softly in the background. When he pulls into the parking lot, he gives me a small smile. "I'll grab your bag," he says before turning off the car.
"Thanks, Tommy-boy." I sigh, grabbing my backpack that sat at my feet before hopping out of the car and following him inside. Tom and I enter the elevator and wait as it rides up to the sixth floor. He walks out first, going straight to unlock his apartment door, letting me in front of him.
"(Y/N)! Hey!" Harrison's voice carries from the living room, as he stands from his relaxed position and waltzes toward the front door.
"Hey, Haz." I greet as I wrap my arms around his neck, only to let out a laugh as he wraps an arm around my waist and carries me away from the door. He waltzes to the living room, swaying me to get a laugh out of me, "Put me down, ya butt!"
"Fine," Harrison sets me down and gives me a big smile, pulling me into an actual hug. "It's good to see you, (Y/N)."
"You too, Harrison." I smile, suddenly being nuzzled on the leg by Tom's staffie. "Tessa! How's my pretty girl?" She lets out a little yip before placing her paws on my thighs, covering my tear stained face with kisses. I giggle as I lean away slightly, smiling at the happy dog.
"I texted your mum and let her know you made it here." Tom said from behind me. I turn my head to see him leaning over the couch with a soft smile on his face. "I'll make your (Y/F/H/D) and have food ready for when you're out of the shower, okay?"
"Yeah, okay. I'll see you in the morning, Haz." I smile softy, patting Tessa's head and giving Harrison another hug before walking around the couch to grab my suitcase and walk to Tom's room to unpack and grab my things.
After a nice, hot shower I changed into sweats and a tank top and join Tom in his room with Tessa. "What are we watching?" I ask as Tom hands me a mug that I had claimed two years back. "Thanks, Tom."
"You're welcome, and I thought we could watch (Y/F/M)-"
"But you hate this movie-"
"But you love it, and I am all about making you happy." He says with a big grin, wrapping an arm around my shoulders, pulling me closer to his side, and handing me a plate of reheated pizza.
"You're the best." I smile, taking a bite of the pizza.
The two of us sat quietly as the movie played. Once the credits rolled, he and I decided to stay up late talking: his recent movie deals, home life, eventually ending up on my schooling and what I was going to do now.
"Have you ever thought about what else you would have wanted to do for a career?" Tom asks as we both crawl under the gray duvet.
"I don't even know what else I could do anymore." I sigh, looking at him tiredly. "I have had my sights on that career for so long I can't even imagine what else I could do."
He lets out a soft sigh, closing his eyes for a few minutes. "Didn't you want to be a Youtuber at one point?"
"Yeah, but I don't think-"
Tom pulls me closer to him, cutting me off, "What would you have done? What would your channel be based around?"
I let out a sigh, "I'd want to play video games, maybe some other things, you know me."
"So do that-"
"Tom, I wouldn't be able to make it in YouTube-"
"Why? You are the most likable person I know," he opens his eyes to look at me, his brown eyes looking tiredly at me with full sincerity, "I think you could do it."
"And what if I can't?" I whisper, watching him staring back at me softly.
"Then, we will figure it out together."
I smile at him, snuggling into him. "Together," I agree, wrapping my arms around him and nuzzle into his chest.
The two of us lay in silence for awhile before he speaks up again. "What would you want to call your channel?"
"I have no clue," I yawn.
"Well, you're here for two weeks, we can figure it out."
                                    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[Two Years Later]
I walk into my studio with my makeup bag in hand. Setting it on my desk, I get my computer ready to stream for the afternoon. I had promised the channel that I would stream today to do something different. However, they were in for a surprise. I clapped my hands together and smile in excitement as I started the stream. Once my controls confirmed that I was streaming, I begin swaying to the music that was playing in the background, waiting for people to get into the chat.
"Hey guys, you're on with Timelock! Welcome to the stream! If you are new here, welcome, we are happy to have you! And if this isn't your first video, I am glad you're back. Today is going to be a little different because I have a surprise for you all. Everyone has been bugging me about who my best friend, who I mention all the time and never introduce, is. Well, I have him here with me today!" I squeal slightly, hearing Tom laugh as I glance at the chat. "Yes, everyone, he is just hanging out off screen laughing at me, but, before I bring him in to do our activity, let me say something first." I lean toward the camera for dramatic effect, "No one I have told has ever believed me, they immediately ask for proof or go to his Instagram and make the point that I am not on there, so I must be lying. I ain't lying!" I lean back throwing my hands up into the air, "We have just always kept it on the down low since we live in different countries. Now," I bring my arms back to my sides and smile at the camera, "without further adieu, let me introduce my long time best friend, Tom Holland." Instead of sitting in the other desk chair like he was supposed to, Tom sits in my lap, making me laugh, and causing the chair to roll to the right. "Tom," I giggle, shoving him slightly to attempt to push him off. "You're supposed to sit in the other chair!"
"But I want to sit here!" He laughs back before sighing and sitting in his own chair. "Hey, everyone."
I glance at the chat to see everyone freaking out, a few asking if we were dating, and some that were asking him to date them. "We are not dating, Tom and I have spent a lot of time together though so we do get mistaken all the time. Now, Tom, do you want to tell everyone what we are going to be doing today?"
"Of course! Today, (Y/N) and I will be talking about how we met and as an added bonus, we asked our friends what we should do. They decided that (Y/N) should do my makeup for the first half of our story and I'll attempt to do hers after."
"Let's get started!" I say with a smile. I turn my attention to my bag then back at Tom. "What do you want me to do?"
"Whatever you do usually, make it easy on you."
"Alright, everybody, here we go."
"Mama, where are we going?" I whine, rubbing my eyes tiredly while holding my favorite stuffed animal in hand.
"Well, (Y/N), Mom has a really good friend here and she wants you and (Y/B/N) to meet them and their sons. We are going to be seeing them a lot so we thought it would be good for you two to meet them." She states as she pulls me out of the car seat and sets me on the ground before taking my hand. Dad grabs the suitcases while (Y/B/N) comes to Mom's other side to hold her hand as we walk up to the front door.
After knocking, the door opens, revealing a woman with red hair with a baby in her arms, and a little boy standing behind her leg. "(Y/M/N)! Hello, come in, come in! Tommy why don't you go get your Dad from his office?" The woman says, the little boy behind her nodding before running off, another baby begins to cry.
"Nikki, it is so good to see you again." My mom states, letting go of my brother's and my hand to hug the woman.
"You too, (Y/M/N), and (Y/F/N), it is also good to see you as well." The woman states before looking down at my brother and me, "and you two must me (Y/B/N) and (Y/N)! Look at how much you two have grown!"
"Hi," I whisper, hugging my stuffie closer to me.
A man followed by the little boy come into the hallway, the man smiles and hugs both of my parents before crouching down to my brother and my height. "Hello, you two. I'm Uncle Dom," the man turns and motions for the little boy to come closer, "And this is Tom. Can you say hi?"
"Our parents assumed that I would be the odd man, or I guess the odd girl, out since the twins were only about a year old when we visited London the first time." I state as I finish up Tom's eyeliner and move on to the foundation, "but it was actually quite the opposite."
"Yeah," Tom laughs, blinking a few times. "It ended up being that (Y/B/N) ended up tagging along with us more than (Y)- I mean, TL tagged along behind us."
"Tom, (Y/N), can you two come here please?" Nikki calls from the kitchen.
Tom stands from his place at the coffee table before helping me so we can run to the kitchen. "Yes, Mum?" Tom asks, still holding my hand.
Tom's father looks at us before chuckling, "What do you two have?"
Tom and I lift our left hands, Ring Pops nestled on both our left middle and ring fingers. "Ring Pops!" We exclaim, smiling excitedly.
My mom giggles, "And why are you two wearing them and not eating them?"
"Cause they are our wedding rings!" I say, smiling, my dad spitting out his water as Nikki grabs her camera.
"Did you two have a wedding, without us?" My mom gasps.
Tom looks at me then back at his parents, "I thought we just gave each other rings and then we were married?" Tom questions.
"Well, I think we need to make up a little wedding for the little lovely wife and tiny tottling husband." Dom states, standing from his seat.
"No actual vows, Dom. My little girl is staying that way for as long as I can keep her that way." My dad states, scooping me up and setting me on his shoulders.
"I love you, Tommy!" I call as my dad walks us to the backyard.
"I love you too, (Y/N/N)!"
"And that's how we met!" Tom says with a big smile, his face now covered in a decent amount of makeup while mine looks like it was done by a child.
"We hope you liked this stream, I was beyond excited to introduce him to you all because he is the main reason I started this channel two years ago. And now we have three million subscribers and I couldn't be more blown away. So thank you always for being here. Videos will continue to be posted for the next two days, but I will be offline so I can spend some time with this guy while he is still here in the states. But now, the clock is ticking! Thanks so much for watching, and I will see you in the next one! Time," I point at the camera, "resume." I smile and wave and so does Tom as I sign off.
I let out a breath and lean back against my chair. Suddenly, I feel a cloth brush against my face causing me to laugh. I open my eyes after the cloth disappears, in time to see Tom toss the makeup wipe into the trash before wiping his own face. "Thanks for doing the stream with me."
"Couldn't have thought of a better thing to do with you; besides, just posting a picture with you would have been anticlimactic," he chuckles before looking at me with a smile. He stands and pulls me into his chest to hug me tightly. "I'm so proud of you."
"You're the reason I'm here doing this." I smile back, squeezing him back.
"I think, you're going to go far."
"I think you're full of shit-"
"Hey-" he starts, pinching my sides, making me laugh.
"You know I'm kidding." I lean back and give him a goofy grin.
"Well, come on Timelock, you owe me food."
"Sure thing, Spider-Man."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Alrighty," I rub my hands together as I sit down in front of my computer, "Are we recording Golf with Friends first or going over what we are doing for the PAX panel?"
"Record first," Arya states as Marz plops down beside her with two mugs in hand, "We then can practice our little spiel after the fact."
"Sounds like a plan. We ready for intros?" Kyle asks, stretching his arms over his head.
"Yeah, lets get-" my stomach lurches, causing me to pause and place a hand over my stomach.
"You okay there, TL?" Marz asks.
I shake my head before quickly standing from my seat, hand over my mouth, and sprint for the bathroom, the voices for my friends yelling from Skype behind me. I collapse to my knees and vomit into the toilet, groaning after finally emptying my stomach of what I had eaten for breakfast. I gasp for air, leaning an arm on the seat while laying my head on top to catch my breath and let the lightheadedness pass before flushing the toilet. I stand slowly and move to the sink to rinse out my mouth, then brush my teeth. I take a chance to look at my tear stained cheeks and pale face. I let out an annoyed breath before slowly making my way back down the hallway to the kitchen. I pop the fridge open to grab a bottle of ginger ale from the door shelf and grabbing a pack of saltine crackers from off the counter before walking back to the recording room.
"What the hell was that about?" Marz yells as I plop down in my chair, setting the bottle off screen while I reset my mics, chewing on the crackers.
"I haven't been feeling well the past few days, I'm fine, just a bug." I state quickly, running my hands through my hair. "Am I good to start the intro?"
"Yeah," Jac says with a raised eyebrow, Kyle cracks his knuckles next to him, "start us out, TL, before you get sick again."
I flip him off before clapping my hands together, "What's up guys, you're on with TimeLock,-"
"JacKylegameplays," the boys shout
"Welcome," Arya murmurs directly into the mic
"to Oblivion," Marz rasps
"And you're on," I state
"With GameSquad."
~
"Thanks so much for watching," Arya calls smiling at the camera after a two hour recording session.
"We will see you all, in the next one!" Jac and Kyle call out.
"Don't forget to check out our personal channels if you miss us." Marz states, pouting out her lower lip.
"And make sure to give that like button a little bit of love." I state, smiling at the camera.
"Until next time, this is GameSquad, signing off." We state together before stopping our recordings and giving everyone a thumbs up to show that we are all stopped.
"Okay," Arya groans while Marz moves from her seat to grab her phone from off the charger, "who is editing this bad boy?"
"It's the boys turn to edit the video. I don't know who is doing it, but the we have edited the last 3 weeks." Marz states before sitting back down in her chair.
"I have to pee, I'm not doing the editing, boys." I state, bouncing in my seat.
"Send over your recordings and I'll edit them," Kyle says, running a hand through his freshly dyed midnight blue hair while Jac pushes his chair away from the desk and rolls off screen. The girls and I upload our recordings and get them ready to send while we chit chat back and forth.
"I think this is the first time we have actually recorded since you've been back, TL." Jac yells off screen when I return from the bathroom.
"Yeah, I mean we pre-recorded videos for about a month so we wouldn't have to worry about it while I was gone then when Marz and Arya went on that trip with their family." I yawn, uncapping my pop to take a swig.
"And you haven't told us about your trip with Spiderling, TL." Kyle says, wiggling his eyebrows at me, making me laugh.
It had been five weeks since Tom and I departed from Oregon and went our separate ways since he had to get ready to go to premieres and interviews for late June.
"Sorry I couldn't travel back home with you, love." Tom murmured against my lips while we stood at his gate.
"Not like you could have changed it, babe." I whisper.
Tom cards his hand through my hair before cupping my face. "I love you, (Y/N), so much."
"I love you too, Tom, and just think. In a month and a half I'll be out in L.A. to join you for your premiere for the newest Avengers movie."
"I get to show you off as my girlfriend, and I cannot wait," he whispers, leaning his forehead against mine before pressing his lips into mine again, smiling into the kiss.
I pull away, looking into his brown eyes that in his swim with nothing but love. "You're going to miss your flight if you aren't off." I whisper, only to be cut off again by his lips.
He takes his time, before moving from my lips to my cheeks, my jaw, then my forehead before sighing. "I love you, darling. Call when you get home?" He states, backing up until all he is holding is my hands.
"Only if you call when you do." I whisper, lifting his hand to my lips, "I love you too. Now," I squeeze his hands before spinning him toward his gate, "Go before you miss your flight."
He laughs before spinning back around and kissing my lips. "See you in seven weeks."
"Seven weeks." I repeat before he finally walks to the door, but not before he gives me another wave, and walking inside.
"Everything was super fun, we visited so many places: the Japanese gardens, Mt. Tabor, art museums, the zoo, and more. And as you all know we figured out that we admitted that we loved each other," I muse.
"The ship finally sailed!" Marz yells, making us all laugh.
"Well, we are very glad that you are happy, TL, and that you had a great time." Kyle says, smiling at me.
"I do have a question, though." Arya says, looking intently at me. "How long have you been sick, (Y/N/N)?" She asks, raising an eyebrow.
"Uh, a few days." I state, leaning into my headrest, "Why?"
"Just curious, it seems odd that you are a bit sick five weeks after your trip with Tom." Arya states, leaning into Marz's side.
"And what exactly are you getting at?" I accuse, white, hot anger running through me.
"I think Ari is assuming that you and Tom did a little more than just kissing on your trip." Kyle wiggles his eyebrows, making Jac laugh.
"I'm not pregnant," I state, shaking my head, the group gasping as I roll my eyes. "It's just a bug, probably got it from flying home."
"I know, I mean, it is you. You don't have to get pissed about it" Marz laughs. "Damn, dormant virus," she giggles. I give here an apologetic look before shaking my head and laughing along with her.
Once the subject jumps away from my illness I pull my phone out of my desk drawer while we get ready to perform our little script for PAX. The lock screen revealing a picture of Tom after one of our days 'spent in bed.' I open my contacts and pull up my recent messages, clicking into Izzy's.
"TL?" My head shoots up from where I am looking down at my phone to the rest of GameSquad. "You alright?" Kyle asks.
"Yeah. Uh, want me to get started?" I ask, watching as everyone nods. "Alright everybody," I clap my hands together, leaning toward the screen, "storytime."
~
I wave goodbye to the rest of GameSquad before turning off the computer for the night. I run my hands through my hair before I stand and walk out into the hallway and into the kitchen. I glance at the clock, 5:15 PM.
"Time to call for food." I mutter as I grab my phone out of Tom's blue hoodie and dial my favorite Chinese place. Once the order is placed I spend the next twenty minutes moving around the apartment until I find myself back into the kitchen. I play with my lip as I lean against the counter, grabbing a water bottle in my hand and tossing it in the air, flipping it. I jump when there is a knock on the door and I quickly move to answer it. I yank it open and cause the man behind it to jump. "I'm sorry, a bit on edge, how much do I owe you?" I ask, pulling my wallet out of the front pocket.
"Fifteen sixty." The man states, handing me the bag for my food.
I pass him $22 and mutter a quick, "Keep the change." I shut the door and deposit the bag onto the kitchen counter, breathing in the savory smells of the contents. The sound of knocking, the tap, double tap, tap on the door signals Izzy's arrival pulls me from my thoughts.
"Hey there, (Y/N/N), I have the, uh, tests." Izzy calls from down the hall.
"I'm in the kitchen, Iz. Food just got here." I call back. Izzy walks into the kitchen with bag in hand.
"Uh, do you want to do this first or eat?" Izzy asks, setting the bag on the counter.
"Food, that way I can tell you about, uh, why I needed these." I grab the bag and motion for her to follow me into the living room.
"You and Tom what?!" Izzy yells, making me blush and let out a small laugh, "(Y/N/N)-"
"Okay, it wasn't planned, it just kinda happened. And then it happened, uh a few more times-" I shake my head, placing a hand over my forehead.
"I do not want to hear about this." Izzy laughs, then she looks at me seriously, "but you think that there's a possibility that you are pregnant?"
"I'm on birth control," I state, setting the empty to-go container on the coffee table, "but it is always possible that it didn't work." I whisper, looking at a few picture frames that sit on a bookshelf to my left. Showing pictures from my high school graduation, Izzy's first book signing, my first PAX, and the first premiere I attended with Tom.
"Well, I'm not leaving until you take the test. And, you know me," Izzy grabs my hand and smiles at me, "I am here for the long run."
"Thanks, Iz." I lean forward and pulling her into a hug. After a few minutes I pull away, letting out an annoyed groan. "Well, now I am gonna go in the bathroom and, pee on a stick." Izzy laughs as I stand from the couch and walk to the bathroom with the box in hand.
~
I pace the small length of the bathroom while Izzy sits on the bathtub, waiting for the timer on my phone to go off.
"Everything is going to be okay, (Y/N/N)," Izzy states, holding out her hand.
I take it and squeeze, "I just," I run a hand over my face, "I just don't know how I should feel about-" the timer on my phone going off on the counter cuts me off. I look at her in a panic, and begin to shake my head, "I can't look at it, I can't, Izzy."
"We will look at it together, and whatever happens, everything will be okay." Izzy states, holding my hand. The two of us walk over and take the test upside down in our hands. She looks at me, "Ready?"
"As I will ever be." I whisper. We take one more deep breath before flipping the test over.
Time Never Stops
Chapter One: Always Interrupting
Word Count: 1763
Prologue
Tumblr media
Warnings: Language, fluff
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[Present Day]
I enter my newly furnished recording studio with a water bottle in one hand and a plate with a sandwich on it in the other. I set the plate down and reach under my desk to start my computer for today's events. While I wait, I spin around in my swivel chair and look at the room. The black and green padding on the walls were set in a diagonal pattern, and a white board with this weeks schedule placed in between some of the padding. Two bookshelves sit nestled against the back wall on either side of the door; the shelves are covered in merch, fan gifts, and several pictures of friends and me. Most of the pictures had been of Tom and I throughout the years, my favorite of the bunch sitting beside my monitor on my desk. His arm is around my waist while he stands behind me, donning a pair of black swim trunks, smiling into the side of my face as I laugh in a black and white checkered bikini. We are standing in the ocean, vacationing in Hilton Head, South Carolina, when we were seventeen.
Tom Holland, my best friend for as long as I can remember, and long time crush. Gotta love that the one person that knows you the best, happens to be the one that you fall for so easily. I didn't know if it was his sunshine smile, the infectious laugh, or the fact that he knows me better than I know myself; but, he is the one person I wish nothing more to have at my side for the rest of my life. However, it isn't that simple. With him being busy with his acting career and me being busy with YouTube, we hadn't had much time to spend together, not that it would have changed anything. Tom is my best friend, and that was that. I just have to be happy that he is still in my life after all these years, and hadn't lost contact while we went from immature teens to slightly more mature adults.
I smiled when my computer finally loads. I log on and set up my software before I clap my hands together, testing the frequency of the mic. I set up the game, placing my headphones over my beanie covered hair, and check to make sure that everything is running smoothly before I click record on the second monitor. I smile at the camera and begin my intro, "What's up, guys? You're on with Timelock! And today, as you can already tell, we are playing Detroit: Become Human. I have been beyond excited to play this game for the past three weeks, but of course since I was away in the UK visiting with Dan and Phil doing some fun videos and joining Sean, aka Jacksepticeye, and Mark, aka Markiplier, for a charity livestream kept me from starting the game. Which reminds me, I cannot believe how well we did on the livestream and I wanted to thank everyone who watched and participated with us across all platforms. You guys are amazing. Now going back to the game, Sean said that it is worth the wait, so without anymore interruptions, I hope, let's get started!"
~
"Holy shit, so that's what happened to Kara." I breathe as I move the character from Alice's room down to the first floor. I glance up at the next activity for the character, "See Todd for further instructions." I let out a gasp as I watch the scene unfold in front of me, watching as Todd yells at his daughter and frighten her. "Shit, I thought that was going to end badly, I mean, it could have. This game is already super interesting, now I know why everyone has been talking this game up! But, guys, the clock is ticking! Thank you so much for watching, and if you enjoyed the video, don't forget to give that like button a little bit of love. And I will see you, in the next one! Time-" I jump as my phone begins to blare the old Spider-Man theme song from inside my desk. I glance at the drawer and pull it out to see a picture of Tom sticking his middle finger up his nose, his name place directly over his face. I roll my eyes and look back at the camera. "I said there would be no interruptions, I stand corrected." I answer the phone, "Hold up thirty seconds, I'm saying my outro."
Tom's laugh echoes through the receiver, "Okay, okay."
"Let's try this again. Time resume." I point at the screen for a few seconds before I end the recording and place my phone back against my ear. "You really have impeccable timing. What is this, the sixth time in the past two weeks?"
"Sorry, love, figured you would be done by now." He chuckled, "And I miss you."
"I miss you too, Thomas." I smile, grabbing my camera so I can begin uploading the recording to my editing software. "How's filming?"
"Good, good," he pauses, shifting in the background. "We actually finished yesterday and are going to be heading out to start promoting the movie, then I am off to start filming for the newest Avengers movie."
"Ooh," I enthuse, plugging in my camera and shifting to save and close out of the game, "That sounds amazing, Tom." I sigh, happy to hear that he was doing well after long months of filming, advertising, repeating. "But it also sounds exhausting."
"Honestly, it is," he sighs. "How was London and Brighton? My mum said you visited and Harrison was sending me snapchats of you at the flat."
"It was really nice. Actually, Harrison decided, even though I discussed it with him a month previous, that he did not want to let me stay. However, Tessa pushed past him into the hallway when she heard me." I pause my rant as I hear Tom laugh at the statement, "It was an entertaining two weeks in London, and I spend two days with your mum, dad, and brothers. It was nice spending time with them and not having to worry about working." I say, watching the video finally load up into the editing software. "And Brighton was amazing. When you're home, and I can find time to fly out, we have to go and spend a week out there. Its beautiful."
"Sounds like a plan, bug." He sighs.
"I do have to edit, do you wanna Skype so we can continue the conversation?"
"Yeah, I'd love that," he whispered. I quickly pulled up my Skype, after a few minutes, his face popped up into my screen.
"Hey! Its my favorite boy!" I yell, throwing my hands over my head. I watched as Tom's smile fades as he looks behind me with knitted eyebrows. "Hey, what's wrong?"
"That's not your normal studio, is it?" He asked, sounding concerned.
"Oh, I thought I told you the good news?" I said rolling backwards so that I was in the middle of my recording studio, "I got the apartment!" I looked at him in excitement, but I noticed he wasn't smiling. "What's wrong? I thought you would be happy."
"I- I am, I just," he runs his hand through his hair, "God, I've missed so much by being gone all the time."
"Tom..." I murmur, "Hey, it's okay. What you're doing is just as important-"
"But, it's your first flat," he whispers, "I was going to come and help you unpack, make sure that your first night wasn't spent alone," he pouts at me, but I can see the small smile on his lips at the promise he made me years ago.
"I didn't spend it alone! I made a girls night out of it! I had Izzy, Haley, and Mia spend the night with me and it was a lot of fun. I know you wanted it to be you, but when you get done with everything I can show you the place." Tom sighs and places his head on his fist. "I know what'll make you feel better, how about I promise next time you are here we marathon all the Marvel movies."
"All the movies?" he teases, his frown disappearing. I nod and he smiles back, "That sounds awesome." He laughs.
I roll back up to my desk to start editing while Tom tells me about some of the more entertaining things that have happened the last few weeks. Another Skype message pops up from JacKyleGameplays, interrupting his rambling. Hey, TL. We and the girls are going to play some prop hunt, wanna join? ~Jac
"What was that?" Tom asks, tilting his head to the side.
"GameSquad wants to play prophunt," I state, getting ready to tell them that I had some things to finish and wouldn't be able to get on today.
"I'll let you go then-"
"No, it's okay, I can stay on." I tell him, looking back at the camera, "We always get interrupted, I can play prophunt any other time. I almost never see you anymore."
"You sure? I don't mind, I can just call later." Even though he says it's fine, I can see in his eyes he really doesn't want me to hang up.
"Nope, I want to talk to you, I can always talk to the GameSquad." I finish sending the message and mute the rest of my chats, "There, no interruptions this time."
"Is it because I am Mr. Always Interrupting?"
"Damn straight," I say giggling, "Now, who out of all the people you have played as is your favorite character? And you can't pick Spider-Man."
"But, I am Spider-Man!"
"No, you are Thomas Stanley Holland!" I shout playfully, making him laugh, "My best friend since two years old, my tiny-toddling husband, knight in shining armor, and the one person that knows me better than I know myself."
He immediately begins to laugh harder, "My Mum sent me that video of us "getting married" last week."
"I asked if she would since we found it. I was hoping it would make you smile."
"It did, my little lovely wife." He sighs, "and my favorite character? Definitely your best friend, because that's the one I get to play for the rest of my life."
A blush creeps up my neck as I look away from the screen, "That's cheesy, and you're only saying it because I said it first!"
"But being your best friend is my favorite thing, you know me more than I know myself."
"I should, I've known you my whole life" I whisper.
"And I wouldn't have it any other way," he says with a dopey smile. "Now, what were you recording before I so rudely interrupted?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I let out a soft groan as I drop my duffel bag and finally sit down at the kitchen table in the Holland's family home. It's six in the evening, and I am utterly exhausted. After PAX had ended, I flew out to L.A. for two weeks to record videos with Mark and crew before flying home to my apartment. Tom went back to filming another movie in Atlanta. I spent the two weeks I had at home packing and pre-recording videos so I had enough on file to post for about three weeks, while Tom and I looked and settled into our new home. The worst of everything from the last few weeks was that my landlord argued with me when I wouldn't sign for another lease, even though I told him that I was moving out of the country. At one point I just walked out of his office, leaving my notice on his desk the following morning because I was done with his bullshit.
When I got finally got to London, I had planned to stay at Tom and Harrison's flat. However, since the both of them were gone filming, I decided to stay with my future parents-in-laws. Staying with Tom's parents had its perks, it meant I could relax, look up apartments for Tom and I to move into, edit what was left of the videos, and get all my medical stuff re-situated.
Tessa barking at the opening of the front door catches my attention, my head lifting from its place on top of my arms. "Mum, is (Y/N) here yet?"
"Why don't you ask her yourself?" I tease, turning in my chair to see Paddy run down the hall, Tess on his heels, and skid to a stop in front of me.
He throws down his backpack, heavy with textbooks, before hugging me. "When did you get in?" He asks, pulling away to reveal a large smile on his face.
"Like, ten minutes ago I think. Mum?"
"Yeah, we got in about that time. Be careful, love, her flight was not pleasant for her and the little one." Nikki responds, working on dinner at the stove.
Paddy smiles, looking at me nervously, motioning to my stomach. "Can I um..."
I nod, "There's only a little bump, but they are in there." I state as he crouches down in front of me and places a hand on my stomach, smiling at the little bump. The sound of a camera going off tears my attention from the youngest Holland up toward the sound. I smile at Nikki who has her camera in hand, capturing the moment to memory.
"When will you know if they are a boy or a girl?" Paddy asks, moving to sit in the chair beside me, pulling homework from his backpack.
"Not long now, once Tom is home in a few weeks we will go to the appointment," I hum, propping my head on my hand.
"Do you know if you two are going to find out what the gender is or are you going to wait?" Paddy continues, making me smile.
"Pads, why are you bombarding (Y/N) with all these questions?" Dom asks, walking over and kissing the top of my head before greeting his wife with a kiss on the lips.
"Because Tom won't tell me anything and I'm nosy." Pad says, making me chuckle.
"To answer your question, Pads, I think we wanted to do a gender reveal, but we don't know when exactly we will do it. I am hoping that we can do it while Izzy is in town so she doesn't have to plan another flight. Right now, I just want to worry about finding a flat."
"Why a flat?" Paddy asks, looking up from his notebook.
"Well, we want to have everything set up before the baby gets here, so while Tom is on set, it's my job to look for an apartment-"
Paddy looks at me in confusion, "I thought Tom already-"
"Paddy," Nikki cuts in, "Why don't you call Sam and Harry and see if they are coming over for dinner or if they are going to their flat from their latest job?" Paddy gives her a sheepish grin before packing his homework and leaned across to kiss my cheek before leaving the room, grabbing my duffel bag on the way out.
"I am just going to assume I shouldn't ask," I giggle, running my hand through my hair, detangling the strands. I jump, accidentally yanking my hair, when something loudly land on the table.
"Sorry, darling, made you a cup of ginger tea, Tom said that you had been drinking it for your morning sickness." Dom chuckles, sliding the mug closer.
"Thanks, Dom," I smile taking it in my hand before sighing, whining. "I shouldn't be this tired."
"You had a long day, it's to be expected. Being pregnant is tiring," Nikki smiles.
I nod, feeling my phone buzz in my hoodie pocket. I dig it out and see that I had missed a call from Tom. "Tom called me, I'm going to go sit outside and call him back, that okay?"
"Of course, love, I'll come get you when supper's ready." Nikki responds, smiling at me as I shuffle over to the door, slipping outside with Tessa.
I redial his number, bringing my phone to my ear as I sit down on a patio chair.
"Hello, love," Tom coos.
"Hey," I rub my eyes sleepily, "sorry I missed your call, I was in your- well, your parents' kitchen talking to them and Paddy."
"S'okay, just wanted to make sure you made it home alright."
"Yeah, I did." I sigh, rubbing my eyes.
There is a pause on the other end of the phone, "Are you alright?"
"Uh, yeah, little love made me sick the whole flight. Didn't help we had rough air."
"Well, don't stress yourself out, okay? And if you feel like you need to get some sleep, my parents are not  going to judge you."
"I know, just wish I felt better. Honestly, I wish you were here. I love your family, don't get me wrong, I just-" I cut myself off, my emotions getting the better of me.
"Hey, only a week, then I will be home." His voice comes through the speaker comfortingly.
"A week, I thought it was a month?" I ask in disbelief, Tess placing herself between my legs and laying her head on my lap.
"Nope, just a week," he states, I can hear the smile on his face. "It was a miscommunication. I have to go back in November, but only for two weeks to finish filming."
"Well, I am excited to see you."
"Me too, love. Oh, do me a favor? Don't bother looking up flats."
"I thought you wanted me to look-"
"I don't want you to stress out about it, besides I actually have a surprise for you when I get back, if Paddy doesn't spoil it beforehand."
"Oh," I come to the realization, "Paddy almost did, but Mum stopped him." I giggle, making Tom sigh.
"Well at least she is looking out for me, but you will have to wait a little longer, love."
"That's okay, I can wait." I turn to the door opening seeing Sam. "Hold up, love," I pull the phone away from my face "Hey, Sam."
"Hey, Mum has supper ready."
"Okay, thanks." I smile at Sam as he slips back inside before placing my phone back to my ear, "Tom I gotta go, Mum has food ready."
"That's okay, I have to get back to set. I love you, (Y/N)."
"I love you too, see you soon, Tommy." I hang up after a minute, running my hand over Tessa's head before standing. Only a week til he's home, it'll be fine.
I lay my head on my arm as I lean against the bathtub in the upstairs bathroom. It is two forty-seven in the morning, and I have never been sicker. "Fuck morning sickness, its every fucking hour sickness," I grumble as I move to grab my water bottle from the floor. I groan at the realization that it was empty.
"(Y/N), are you in here?" Nikki's voice comes from behind the door, before I can answer, my stomach lurches again, causing me to puke. The door creaks open and a hand runs up and down my back, "Oh, darling."
"You know, this happened the night before Tom and I told you all that we were expecting." I let out a humorless laugh as I lay my arm back down on the side of the tub to catch my breath. "But tonight is about ten times worse."
"How long have you been up?" She asks as she moves to sit down beside me.
"Didn't fall asleep, but I've been in here since one."
"I'm sorry, darling," She coos.
"Not your fault," I whisper as I lean my head on the cool, porcelain tub.
"Is everyone alright in here?" Dom pokes his head in to see his wife and I on the floor, "We wondered why you two weren't in bed."
"'We'?" I ask, opening my eyes to look at him. After a second Tom joins his side, backpack hung over his shoulder and suitcase in his other hand.
"Hey, love," he mutters setting his things down before walking into the bathroom.
"There are too many people in this bathroom," I mutter, Tom slowly moving his hands to try and help me to stand, "Tom, I can't-"
"We are just going down stairs, settle on the couch for the rest of the night, yeah?" Tom says, lifting me carefully into his arms. "I'll be back up to clean, Mum."
"We can take care of it, Tom. Just worry about (Y/N/N)." Dom says, moving Tom's bags before we pass. I bury my face into his neck, breathing him in.
Tom chuckles at my reaction, "Love, I think it is a little strange to be smelling me-"
"You're not the one with the upset stomach, so shut up." I mutter into his neck, making him laugh. "Besides, a different smell might help a bit."
He sets me down on the couch before pressing a kiss to my forehead. "No, I am not, but I do have some things that might help and get you back to sleep." He mutters, standing back up, grabbing a trashcan to place near the couch, flipping the t.v. on, and finally leaving me in the living room while he retreats into the kitchen.
"Why did you leave?" I whine, hearing him chuckle as he moves around the kitchen. I smile as he walks back with my water bottle in hand.
"Wanted to get you more water," he stands next to me, handing my bottle to me. Tom motions for me to carefully lean forward so he can settle behind me so I can lay on his chest.
I go to take a sip and am hit with the overpowering smell of lemons. "Did you put lemons in this?"
"Yeah, lots of websites say that lemons help with morning sickness, like how ginger does too. Also, one of the makeup artists told me that lemons helped her a bunch when she was pregnant." He tilts his head to press a kiss to my cheek, running his hands under my shirt and over the bump, soothing me. I sip slowly on the water, focusing on the movement of his hands and the buzz from the t.v., slowly lulling me into a dreamless sleep.
I wake the next morning when I feel something brush against my nose. I flutter my eyes open, only to close them again when Tess licks my cheeks. A squeal escapes my lips, as I pull the sheet back over my head while Tess tries to show how happy she is to see me awake.
"Tess, leave her alone." Tom laughs, pulling her away from me and shooing her the other direction. Then he crouches next to me, carefully pulling the sheet away from my face. "How are you this morning, darling?"
"Better than when you found me last night." I mutter, my hand going into his hair to run through his dark locks.
"Good, how about we get some food in you, I'm thinking (Y/F/B), then we can go for a walk?" He suggests, squeezing my hip under the covers.
"Only if you have tea ready for me."
"Already on the table." He states, giving me his hand to pull me off the couch.
Tom and I spent time talking over breakfast, the house quiet since his parents are gone for the day while Paddy is at school. He squeezes my hand before grabbing our now empty plates. "Why don't you go upstairs and change, then we can take Tess for a walk?"
Tess jumps at our legs as the two of us stand and move about the room, "Sounds perfect, baby boy." I smile as I see Tom's face flush a bright shade of red, but his smile is undeniably the brightest that I had seen in a long time. I walk upstairs, slipping into his childhood bedroom to change. I pull out a pair of shorts and a plain white t-shirt with a pocket on the chest, but my shorts won't button. I groan, stripping out of them and kicking them away. After I look in my bag and spot something else to wear and toss my shirt over my head. I grab a light blue, white vertical line button up t-shirt dress and button it into place. I slip on a pair of flats, wander to the bathroom and brush my teeth, before I walk down the stairs to smile at Tom, who has Tess already on a lead ready to go.
"You look lovely, bug." He mutters, pulling me into a quick kiss.
"And you look handsome as always." I giggle, taking his hand before walking out the door with him. The two of us start up the street, Tess tugging us along happily.
After strolling for a few minutes Tom tugs my hand so I fall into his side, making me laugh. "Do you remember when we were like, maybe six or seven and we would walk to the end of the block and go to Mr. and Mrs. Freeman's house?"
"We used to tell our parents we were going to visit the 'neighborhood grandparents' and we would go play in their front yard until Mrs. Freeman would invite us inside to help her bake some sort of sweet." I laugh, leaning into his side as his arm wraps around my shoulder.
"Or Mr. Freeman would take us into the backyard to show us how to build a birdhouse," Tom chuckles. "Do you remember when we used to say we would raise our kids in that house?"
"I do." I smile, wrapping my arm around his and leaning into his side, Tom presses a kiss to my forehead. "We only said that because we couldn't believe that it was the first and only house her and her husband lived in. Even as little kids we knew we wanted that."
"We did," Tom states, smiling at me. He doesn't say anything for a minute, the two of us slowing our paces. Tom stops us in front of a house, opening the gate for me, and at first glance I don't recognize it. The two story home looked well loved and inviting. A new coat of dark blue paint caused the white windows and trim to pop. The path lead to the front porch, a small patch of roof covering the entrance from any weather that would bombard guests, with windows on either side of the turquoise door, the same shade as the cottage door back in Oregon.
"This is Mr. and Mrs. Freeman's house, or was?" I mutter, Tom only reaching out and taking my hand. "Tom, what is going on?" I giggle as he tugs me toward the door. I watch as he fishes a key out of his jacket pocket before he unlocks the door.
He turns toward me and gives me a nervous smile, "Don't freak out."
I let out a laugh and squeeze his hand in reassurance as he pushes the door open and leads me and Tess inside. I let out a gasp at the sight before me.
The front room that I remember was completely changed. The wallpaper had been stripped away and is now painted a pale gray. The carpet had been ripped out, uncovering warm wood floors that led down to where the kitchen had been. A dark blue couch and love-seat sprinkled in different colored throw pillows framed the fireplace, a t.v. hanging above it. The stairs that were directly in front of the entrance no longer had the old, fuzzy carpet running up it, replaced with a textured carpet that would make a person less likely to slip and fall down them. God, I could remember sliding down those stairs right at the forefront of my mind. Pictures of Tom and I through our life litter the space, some going up the stairs to the second floor.
"Tom, what, how?" I look at him in shock, unable to really speak my mind. Tom only smiles, tugging me further into the house. He stops in the kitchen, letting go of my hand as I look around the room. The room had been completely gutted and redone. Sky blue cabinets and cupboards with white marble counter-tops are nestled against two of the walls. Stainless steel appliances nestled into the spaces left for them, and white subway tiles decorate the walls between the cabinets and counter-tops. A small wood island with two stools sit in the middle of the kitchen, a vase filled with bouquet flowers sitting in the middle of it. On the wall across the entrance is a sliding door that leads to the back yard, showing the freshly painted white fence. A small, wood table sits a few feet from the door, rounded corners as for no one to knick themselves with simple chairs all around it.
Tom lets me slowly move about the house, looking at all the old rooms that are now either completely changed, or just have a fresh coat of paint, new flooring, and decorated to a t. He follows me up the stairs, watching me as I slip in and out of each room in amazement. I stop when I find a room painted a soft shade of gray with a plain wood floor sitting empty on the second floor.
"I thought," Tom's voice pulls me from my thoughts, making me turn to look at him. He is looking at the floor, a small blush on his cheeks. "I thought this could be the baby's room."
I walk over to him, cupping his cheeks. "When did you do this? When did you have time to do this?"
"Um," he lets out a laugh before pressing his forehead to mine, "We were in London for a few days for the premiere. I was out on a run and I saw Mrs. Freeman's family moving her out, her husband died a few years back and she was having a hard time living home by herself. I walked over and offered her family a hand, then went inside to say hello to her. She eventually asked about you and I told her that we were together, and expecting a baby. She was beyond excited. She somehow remembered that conversation we had with her in her kitchen when we were little; the one where we told her when her and her husband could no longer stay here, we would buy their house and raise our children here. She looked at me with the brightest smile, and offered to sell us the house. Her kids didn't even fight it, she gave me her price, I sighed a check for a little more than what she asked, and got the deed for the house, all before noon."
"You bought the house, while you were touring for your new movie, that's insane!"
"Stan and Mackie would not stop teasing me, made comments about how we haven't been together long, blah blah blah."
I giggle, pressing a quick kiss on his lips before looking at him in amazement. "But what about all the remodeling, you've been on the go for months."
"My family kept an eye on the place and helped me with all sorts of stuff." He laughs, pulling me into him again. "You haven't even gotten to the best of all the rooms in the house."
I giggle as he pulls me down the hallway. He opens the door, showing off the master bedroom. He smiles as I speed walk into the room and plop on the plush bed. He joins me, laughing along with me.
"Welcome home, love."
"Home sweet, home, Holland."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The cool January air seeps in the edges of the window in my recording room as I slowly lean forward over my desk to try and attempt to unattach my camera from the tripod that sits behind my monitor. I let out a squeal, placing my opposite hand on the wall in front of me in a panic when I begin go to fall forward due to my center of gravity being displaced by the planet under my shirt. "Tom!"
His footsteps run frantically up the hall, having been in the ensuite finishing up his shower. He bursts through the door, cursing when he sees me in my unbalanced state and grabs my hip carefully while wrapping an arm above my stomach to pull me back into him. "What did I say 'bout putting your cameras up and taking them down?" He pants into my ear, causing me to blush.
"Ask you to do it," I say sheepishly.
Tom places a trail of kisses from my shoulder to the spot just below my ear before kissing the side of my head. He unwraps his arms from around me, pointing at my chair as a silent order for me to sit down while he grabs my camera from behind the monitor.
I sigh, carefully lowering myself into the chair that now had locks on the wheels. Tom leans over my desk, making my eyes fall on his toosh. I giggle, shaking my head.
"What are you giggling about, love?"
"Ya know, you have a really nice ass." I tease, making him smirk over his shoulder at me, his cheeks tinted a soft shade of pink.
"And you have been cheeky the past few weeks." He teases back, finally succeeding in getting the camera off the tripod before setting it down on the desk and turning toward me with his arms crossed across his chest. "I wonder why that is?"
"Easy, my fiance is gorgeous, and I really want to be done being pregnant so I can enjoy people again-"
"Especially me," he teases, his eyes bright with mischief.
"I miss human contact." I giggle, putting my hand out to take Tom's hand in mine, pressing kisses along his knuckles. "I just want to be able to hug people normally."
"I know you do, not long now." He mutters, giving me a small smile and squeezing my hand. "What else can I do for you before we leave?"
"I really want something sweet, can you get me something for the drive?"
"Sure thing, love." Tom leans down to kiss my forehead, my hand catching his cheek to bring him down into a kiss. He hums against my lips before pulling away, looking at me in curiosity seeing my eyes swimming with worry. "What's wrong, (Y/N)?"
"I'm nervous about going to the doctors today," I whisper, keeping my hand on his cheek.
"Why are you nervous?"
"Just the fact that the end of the pregnancy I've been having a hard time getting around and doing things. I don't know, I'm just nervous they are going to give us bad news."
"They aren't, love. The only thing I think they are going to tell you is to go on bed rest until she's here." Tom states, kneeling down in front of me. "Claire has been doing great the whole pregnancy, and all the stress tests have been great, I think you are just wearing yourself out, bug."
"I just don't want to let anyone down." I whisper, a few tears slipping down my cheeks.
"You never do, and your fans know that you have been having a rough few weeks. You have been working hard to get videos recorded so that the next few weeks they will still be getting videos. You are doing phenomenally, (Y/N)." Tom presses a quick kiss to my lips before kissing my bump. "C'mon, lovie, let's get some food in you then head out, yeah?"
"Yeah." I whisper, letting Tom carefully help me stand before letting him lead me out of the room to our kitchen.
I type a text to Alexis, only to delete it again. I'm sitting on the couch, Harrison making loud noises in the kitchen while he attempts to cook. Since Tom was away for the weekend he asked, Harrison to spend the weekend at the house and keep an eye on me because I was on bed rest. I huff out in annoyance, laying my head back into the pillow.
"Uh, hey (Y/N/N)?" He calls, walking out of the kitchen. He is covered in, what can only be assumed, flour.
"What did you do?" I laugh as I sit up slowly, Tessa whining in protest.
"Uh, I made a mess," he laughs, raking a hand through his hair in embarrassment. "I was planning on making pancakes, because that is easy and well-"
"Okay, how bad is it in there?"
"Eh, not bad, just a bit of flour." I raise an eyebrow at him making him laugh. "It's mostly on me, so it won't take long to clean."
"Alright, if I instruct you in how to make chicken stir fry can you make it? You know I-"
"Can't stay standing for long periods of time due to the baby, blah blah blah, yeah Tom gave me the whole spiel. If you tell me what I have to do, then I will happily make it. Besides, it'll give me bonus points if I can make it for Mia." He states as he moves to clean his mess in the kitchen. I let out a small laugh as I slowly stand and walk into the kitchen. I settle at the table while he cleans the floor, there really isn't that much flour.
Once the floor is clean, Haz listens closely as I explain to him what needs to be done. He jokes with me back and forth throughout the time I am explaining it.
"Can I be honest with you?" He asks, wiping his hands on the towel that is placed over his shoulder.
"You know you always can."
"The first time I met you, I knew that you and Tom would end up together."
"We were eight," I giggle as he sits. "How could you have known?"
"I don't know, it was more of a unconscious thing than being at the forefront of my mind. By fifteen I couldn't figure out why you and Tom hadn't just accepted that you two were going to be together and just date. He of course denied it whenever I asked about it."
"We never wanted to admit to it," I smile, thinking back to when we were little. Life was so much more simple back then.
"That was why when he finally admitted it to me before you two went to Oregon, I told him if he didn't tell you I wouldn't let him back into the flat."
"You what!" I laugh, throwing my head back. "What would you have done if he said he did, lying?"
"Easy," he states as he moves back to the stove to stir the ingredients, "I would have called you. If he would have freaked then I would have known he was lying."
"That is awful." My laughter dying to a small giggle, shaking my head. "Perfect, but awful."
"I had to get him to admit it somehow." He shrugs.
"Now, will you be honest with me?"
"Shoot."
"What is going on with you and Mia?" I tease, wiggling my eyebrows at him.
Harrison laughs as he leans over the island, shaking his head. "We are taking it slow, especially since you and Tom have been trying for years to get us together. She's out for a school function tonight and is staying with a friend so she doesn't have to call an Uber or me."
"But were Tom and I wrong about our assumption?" I giggle watching his cheeks tint a soft pink.
"No, she really does compliment me. I really do like her, just want to see where it goes, you know?"
"Mhm," I hum, smiling at him.
Harrison turns and goes back to cooking, adding ingredients into the pot, "How are you feeling?"
"Feeling good, I guess. Claire is still her active self." I smile, running a hand over where she is kicking.
"Excited?"
"Beyond. I am ready to not be pregnant anymore. Just want to hold her now." I state, wrapping my hands under my bump gently. "I think Tom is the same way."
"Tom will never want to leave once she is here. Hell, he was basically begging me to stay over because he was worried she would come early."
"She won't, she is going to be right on time." I giggle as the timer on the stove goes off, indicating that everything was finished.
"Well, food is ready. Want to eat in here or move this party into the living room and watch a movie?"
"Is that even a question?" I laugh, slowly standing to waddle back into the livingroom. I hear Haz laugh behind me. "What are you laughing at?"
He comes in and hands me a plate before settling on the other couch. "Tom and I were talking the other day, and at one point he got all giddy and now I know why he was gushing about it."
"About what?"
"You waddling everywhere, it is quite cute." He teases, taking a bite.
"Fuck off, Haz," I laugh, shaking my head.
"Don't deny it, you know it's cute."
"Yeah, but my pubis is separated and I am in pain-"
"Your what?" He laughs.
"Here, my pelvis is seperated and I am in pain, better?"
"I liked pubis-"
"You're immature," I shake my head as I turn on a movie.
"And you are my best mates favorite person, I am glad that I get to see him so happy."
"Now you're trying to make it better by being a sap, pick a side, Osterfield." I state as he laughs. Yup, this is my best friend's best friend, I could not thank anyone enough to be blessed with knowing this weirdo.

I pack the last shirt into my suitcase before looking back at the wrapped gift sitting on my dresser. I smile as I walk over to it and pick up the pink and blue wrapped gift and bite my lip.
~
"You're pregnant," Izzy whispers, next to me.
I let out a soft giggle. I stare at the two pink lines in the test while placing a hand over my mouth. "I can't believe it. I mean, I can believe it, but I didn't think that it would happen this way." I place a hand over the nonexistent bump of my lower stomach.
"What are you going to do?" Izzy whispers, sitting on the edge of the bathtub.
"You know I've always wanted kids. I see Tom in two weeks, and have a doctors appointment the morning before I fly out so I'll confirm it before hand. Then I guess I 'll just have to tell Tom."
"(Y/N/N), how do you think he will react?"
I let out a laugh, "We plan to spend the rest of our lives together, so I guess we'll just have to find out."
~
I carefully pack the package into my suitcase where Tom won't just pull it out all willy-nilly. I check my phone, noticing that Tom had texted me late the evening before, I can't wait to see you tomorrow, little lovely wife. Sleep well, I love you. I smile, zipping my suitcase and walking with it to the front door of my apartment. With one final sweep of the apartment, I grab my backpack and suitcase, lock up the door, and head down the stairs to drive to my doctor's appointment.
~
"Hey, Dr. Price." I smile, reaching out to shake her hand.
"How are you, dear?" She asks, squeezing my hand.
"I'm good, I actually had something to talk to you about since we were originally going to change my birth control."
"And what would that be?" She smiles, sitting down on the stool in front of me.
"Um, so I have been feeling sick for the past few weeks, moody, having to pee constantly and out of curiosity I took a pregnancy test and, well, it came back positive."
Dr. Price quickly grabs her chart, "Sexually active?"
"Yeah, I would say that," I laugh.
She stands moving to grab a few things out of her drawer. "I am going to assume you want us to confirm?" She raises an eyebrow at me, and I nod at her. "I need to draw blood."
"Yeah, I figured that." I squeeze my hands together in anticipation. "I'll be okay to fly today, right?"
"Yeah, ma'am." She states as she moves to my side, "Now, tell me, what is his name?"
I laugh, shutting my eyes as she begins preparing my arm. "Tom, he's my best friend. I've known him my entire life." I let out a small laugh, smiling at my feet.
"I bet this wasn't part of the plan."
"Definitely not."
"Well," she moves from beside me, "we are all done. It'll be about 10 minute, then we could do an ultrasound if its positive?"
"Sounds perfect." I whisper. Once Dr. Price slips out of the room, I let out a soft sigh, sliding off the table to grab my phone from my purse. I smile seeing Tom had texted me.

I sigh as I sit back on the table, scrolling through social media until the door opens again.
"Just me," Dr. Price says, smiling, "Congrats, you are indeed expecting. Let's get you ready for an ultrasound, yeah?"
I nod, grabbing my purse, and following her down the hall to another room. She instructs me to lay down and pull my shirt up before squirting the gel on my stomach. I wince at the cold, letting out a surprised squeal, making her smile. She mores the wand around before we both hear the faintest sound.
A heart beat. My baby's heart beat.
She turns the monitor toward me. "You look to be about eight maybe eight and a half weeks along. So that right there," she points with a pencil, "is your little one!"
Tumblr media
"Can I get a picture?" I whisper, seeing her nod beside me before she wipes the gel from off my stomach.
"I'll have everything ready for you up front." She states before leaving me in the room.
I smile and place my hand on my stomach. "Hello in there, little one."
~
My eyes scan the L.A. airport for any signs of Tom. The latest text stated that he would be coming to get me with Zendaya, since she had a car. I drag my suitcase beside me, smiling at a few fans who waved and called out my name as I made my way to where Tom should have been.
I immediately giggle once I see him. Tom is standing on a bench, skimming the crowd for me with a sign that says, my love, in big swoopy letters. I take out my phone and take a quick picture to post later before picking up my pace to get to him.
Tom finally sees me, or I can assume so when he smiles brightly and hops off the bench. Within a few feet of the pick up area I see Tom moving toward me, and I take the chance to throw myself, as carefully as I can, into his waiting arms.
"Hello, love," he mutters into my neck, smiling as he places a few kisses there.
"Hey, handsome." I pull away, only to be pulled back to him in a kiss. I tangle my fingers into his hair as he deepens the kiss, dipping me playfully. The sound of camera shutters pulls me away from the not-so-private moment as I lock eyes with a few paps on the edge of the airport.
Tom notices my gaze and waves with me to them. "I didn't think they would follow us here-"
"Not like you told them you were coming to get me. Besides, it could be a lot worse." I run my fingers along his jaw, "We could have been doing something a lot worse." I tease, making him roll his eyes at me.
"Well, let's head out, huh, pretty girl?" He asks, taking my hand in one of his then grabbing my suitcase with the other.
"Let's go, Spidey."
Tom drags me out of the airport to a black car that I can tell is Zendaya's. He opens the back door for me before turning and putting my bag into the trunk.
"(Y/N)!" Zendaya squeals from the front before half heartedly leaning back to pull me into a hug.
"It's so nice to see you again, Z." I whisper as I squeeze her one more time before pulling away, being shooed to the side by Tom so he can slide in beside me.
"So, did Thomas tell you that I was taking you shopping?" She asks me before pulling out of where she was parked.
"He did-"
"Did he tell you that we are doing it now so you two can have the rest of the afternoon to do couple things when we get back?"
I look at Tom, who is looking away sheepishly, "He did not, but I will assume it was after I already on the plane." I take Tom's hand into mine and bring it to my lips, pressing a soft kiss into the knuckle.
"Well, let's go kids, I have a special spot to get our dresses, (Y/N/N)."
The evening comes quickly, and I am officially ready to fall asleep. I smile and press a quick kiss to Tom's temple before looking at Zendaya and Darnell. "I am gonna head to bed."
"What!" Zendaya shouts moving away from the fridge with a bottle of wine in hand, "but we were going to drink and catch up!"
"I haven't really been feeling well the past few weeks, and alcohol really isn't the best idea. Besides, I am still on (Y/S) time," I say, feeling Tom's arm slide around my waist and press a kiss into my jaw.
"Want me to join you, love?" Tom mutters, looking up at me with soft eyes.
"Only when you are ready, handsome." I whisper, cupping his cheek. I turn and look at everyone else before departing from his side to hug Zendaya and Darnell before walking up the flight of stairs to where Tom and I were sleeping for the night. "Goodnight, everyone!" I call as I shut the door behind me, stretching my arms over my head before grabbing my suitcase from off the floor and getting ready for bed.
I sit in bed, wrapped tightly in one of Tom's hoodie that I stole from his bag, and scroll through social media. I smile at the images of Tom dipping and kissing me at the airport, one hand cupping my jaw and the other supporting my back while my arms are wrapped around his neck.
"Love?"
I lift my head and see Tom poking his head in the doorway. "You okay?" I ask as he slips in and shuts the door behind him.
"Never been better," he states, pulling his shirt over his head and tossing it at me, causing me to laugh, before walking to the dresser. "Just figured I would come and lay with you." He rummages through one of the top drawers before pulling out a pair of sweats, winking at me.
"You are so strange. Holland." I tease
"What?" he teases back, biting his lip, "I can't enjoy the fact that my girlfriend finds me attractive?"
"Oh you can totally enjoy that," I smile, crawling out of bed and walking toward him as he finishes changing. "But I also enjoy the view so-"
Tom cuts me off with a quick kiss, his hands catching my waist, "Naughty-"
"Honest," I whisper against his lips.
He hums softly before looking at me, cupping my cheek in his hand. "(Y/N)?"
"Yeah?"
"You have been feeling ill?"
I let out a small laugh, "Yeah, but I'm fine, promise."
He nods, nuzzling his nose to mine. "Lets crawl into bed, I do believe I owe you some cuddles."
Once curled up in bed, I trace my fingers along his face, mesmerizing the way he looks in this moment. Looking at me with sleepy eyes that are cozier than the warm fireplace on a cold winter's night. The dips on his features that remind me how much he has grown since the first day we have met. The misalignment of his nose from the multitude of times he broke it. The way his curls fall on his forehead in waves-
"What are you thinking about, love?" Tom whispers, brushing a strand of hair behind my ear.
"Just thinking about how much you have grown and changed since we were little." I say, cupping his cheek.
"We both have." He smiles, his hand resting on the side of my neck.
"Can I ask you a question?"
"Of course, you can ask me anything."
"Have you ever thought about the future, like our future?" I whisper, watching as the corners of his mouth turn up in the corners.
"Think about is almost everyday." He states, kissing my forehead before looking back at me. "I think about you and me going to premieres, me coming home to you in London, hearing little feet patter down the hallway on Christmas morning, I can imagine it all. And you're always there, my love. Always a part of it, ever since I was fifteen."
"Really?"
"I mean," he rolls so he's on his back, pulling me with his so my head rests on his chest. "You've been a part of my whole life, so there was never a doubt that you wouldn't  be there."
"And you've even thought about kids?" I look up at him, looking through my eyelashes.
"All the time, I mean, seeing you with babies always makes me want kids. It seems you are always drawn to them, like, you always get so soft and whisper 'can I hold them?' and it's honestly the cutest shit ever. " He blushes, biting his lip, "It's also actually a huge turn on-"
"Tom," I groan, giggling at him. I look back up at him, smiling. I press a quick kiss to his lips before crawling off the bed.
"Where are you going, love?" Tom whines, reaching out for me.
"Imma grabbing something," I say, unzipping my bag. "Be patient."
Tom groans, making me laugh again. I grab the wrapped gift and walk back so I am seated in front of him instead of crawling in beside him. I look at him, holding the gift in hand.
"What's wrong, love?" He whispers, cupping my face.
"Nothing is wrong, I just was going to wait until after your premiere to tell you but," I giggle looking down at the gift before slowly putting it in his hands, "What a better time than the present?"
Tom looks at me before slowly moving to take the gift fully in his hands. Tom carefully picks at the tape and pulling out the small bundle of clothing.
"'My Daddy is my favorite superhero' ?" Tom chuckles, confusion crossing his face. Tom looks up at me before noticing something else inside the package. I play with my lip as he slowly pulls out the pregnancy test. His eyes snap up to mine, his mouth gaping.
"I think we have a change in plans, Tommy." I whisper, a tear sliding down my cheek.
"You're pregnant, love?" He whispers, brushing his thumb under my eye.
"Yeah, I am, Tom." I smile, pulling the photo from out of my hoodie pocket, handing it to him. Tom covers his mouth, tears falling down his face. "Tommy-"
"They're happy tears, love," he pulls me toward him and kisses my forehead. "I am so happy."
"I was honestly worried you wouldn't be-"
"Why wouldn't I be happy," Tom cups my face, smiling at me, "I'm having a baby with my best friend, my little lovely wife, my dream girl." He shakes his head before pressing a kiss to my lips. When he pulls away, he takes the time to kiss my eyelids, each cheek, my nose, my forehead, and finally my lips again. "And I wouldn't change it for the world."
