Who doesn’t love a colourful faux fur? Well, I do & so decided to buy this unique faux fur jacket from Forever 21! I wore this 7 times last week and can’t stop wearing it again and again! I see many of the women “DO NOT REPEAT THEIR OUTFITS” because “they don’t want to be seen or caught wearing it again”. But I am not going to care about how the society wants us to be like. I mean since ages women are getting dressed with the thought of making themselves look exceptional & unique. There is nothing wrong with that ofcourse. But except for the fact that it puts us under a lot of pressure making us to wear one outfit or even one item one time only !!!! So, it’s high time we break this rule of wearing one thing one time or one outfit one time. So, recently I have decided to change my habit (new year, new me) I have decided to utilize my wardrobe by wearing same thing again and again and in atleast 2 different ways. Coz repeating your outfit would certainly won’t put you in any shame as previously perceived, it would infact decrease you cost per wear!!! That’s great right? Holding up her new Jimmy choo red shoes like a trophy last week, my client who is also a friend asked me a super weird question! She asked me how to wear her new red shoes at her conservative office without looking “slutty” ! She asked that with a sad tone... I started scratching my head.... slutty...really??? I was like...Who on earth says red looks slutty at the office? The answer to my question was astonishing. As it came not from a female colleague but from a senior male colleague of hers! We live in a society where women are expected to dress and style themselves in a certain way, they are always under pressure to look perfect and to dress appropriately according to the occasion. And when it comes to the office the stress of styling “appropriately” increases! That make colleague has no doubt what women go through everyday in order to look good & to feel good. Anyways I told my client that no one should stop her from wearing jimmy choo shoes...but as her office is way to conservative she can tone it down a bit by opting for subtle colours like beige ivory grey! Even though yellow is a summer colour, it would still go strong this winter!! If you want a new pair of gloves this season, go for burgundy! Next colour combo is pink & green! You can go for any shades of green but my favourite this winter is no doubt the olive green. If you are thinking of investing in a coat, why not go for olive green colour and wear it with your cute pink wool scarf! The last one is the trendiest colour of the year, I mean Lavender with the most basic yet functional colour, brown. If u have watched Harry Potter , “LAVENDER BROWN” colour combination might seem a little funny to u, 😂! Anyways while shopping for sweater look for cable knit lavender sweater this season and wear it with your water proof brown boots! Well, many of you who have mostly black and white outfit in your wardrobe feel that you have a boring fashion sense unlike those who play with colours and patterns. :/ You are always told to add prints and colours in your wardrobe by your stylist/wardrobe experts, family, husband, sister, mom and friends and are known as the woman in black!!!!!!. Though I highly suggest adding prints, colours in your wardrobe being a lover of colours and print mixing, I also love the idea of mixing neutrals, like white , beige grey and black! So, if you have tons of neutrals (especially black and grey) but you don’t know what to do with them or how to style them anymore, I don’t want you to throw them away...I want you to add a bit drama & layers to your outfit. For example on this flat lay I went for grey waist coat and added a layer, I added fringe necklace and went for two bracelets instead of one , therefore adding drama in the look! And again the next time you go shopping for neutral items, consider buying ....let’s say... ruffle hem skirt (like this one ) instead of pencil skirt which you already own and have atleast 2 in your closet! I have been asked by one of my YouTube followers that what is the best way to give yourself the illusion of hourglass shape. But before I answer this here I would like to say that all body shapes are beautiful and the key to look great is dress the way you love and be confident about your body. Anyways after thorough experimentation on my realized that my contrasting panel dress gives the illusion of hourglass shape. There are ofcourse other ways to create that effect but this side panels trick is one way! And if you have a sporty look but want to add a little bit of feminine touch , simply go for ruffles! I love this dress because it has ruffle detail on the sleeves and I absolutely #love it !
