Blood Province

Located in the upper middle of Alem to the left of the Water Province is the Blood Province, an isolated tundra with cities that were built centuries ago with little to no maintenance done on them. This is a province that thrives on isolation and has a deep history that is retold over and over orally in every household. Every person in this province knows their lineage.

Farming and raising animals for trade is how the economy works in this province. There is hardly any use of the Arin. Most trading is done locally, hardly any leaves the province. Occasionally they get imports from the other provinces.

Travel is done only by road. Usually people travel on animals. The roads are kind of run down and if people wander off it’s easy to get lost. Sometimes people hire guides, but it not a busy business because there are barely any visitors from outside the province.

Weather in the Blood Province is warm and sunny during the sun season and extremely cold in the blizzard seasons. The animals of this region are built to last in the blizzard seasons. Blood Elementalists are able to survive the harsh conditions of the blizzard seasons by heating up their bodies with their blood. They are the ones who take care of animals or go into the blizzards. People in the province who aren’t Elementalists don’t go out too much or too long.

The Four Major Cities

Gazin - The Northern Keeper Chise watches over this city. It’s the city that has the biggest market of the province. When there are any disputes that become unmanageable they come to this city to be fixed. This is where the Old Family of the province lives.

Kazura - The Eastern Keeper Ki watches over the city. This is just a place for people gather in when the blizzard seasons start so that they can stay safe and warm.

Tozika - The Southern Keeper Dareza is in charge here. This city also has a pretty nice market. There are many ancient structures in the area of this city.

Bariza - Western Keeper Ezra runs this city. This city is also one that’s mainly lived in during the blizzard seasons.

The Old Families

The Eztil family is the Old Family of the Blood Province. Others see them as old fashioned and stodgy, but they are beloved nonetheless. They work hard to ensure the culture of the Blood Province stays alive. Huge feasts and parties are often something they hold during the blizzard seasons to improve morale.
