hi so um im just gonna say this
people started a skull emoji thing where they would go i don't like t user so and so
you didn't do it so sorry but i want to say this
i don't like vee, tee, alima, kansha/cunsha whichever it is, jugn00's new blog who something
now people are saying that my reason (they don't answer asks same as anon sent to ravememcoi [not exact url]) isn't valid cause they don't owe me anything and they don't have to reply to asks
but 1. its annoying to send people asks and not have them answered when you know they are receiving them and it's just compliments and also 2. they go around writing all this love poetry and aren't willing to drop a topic that came up ages ago (can't remember url but vee something url started this again for no reason)
now you'll say BUT THEY DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING TO PLEASE YOU WHY DON'T YOU GET IT
but understand that i am not obligated to like or not dislike them either and since you didn't mention it i am not obliged to you to not mention that i dislike your mutuals
also people are saying you need to deactivate your acct cause your personality is bad and just 1. she doesn't need to do anything to please you same as vee, tee, mirrorvid etc 2. press block and stfu
also i don't care much for the people that started this again
they started it knowing that this would happen and if they had just chosen to not answer the anons starting this again it wouldn't have happened and again, their chioce to post abt whatever they want but my choice to not love you
i remember trying to send one of them anons for a while because i wanted to be friends and when she finally replied to my ask she just basically insulted me and started correcting my grammar
it was not a mean or hate anon these people just want excuses to prove they are better than everyone else and if someone get's their hands on this they will for sure start correcting this ask like an english answer script
i am actually glad they started their mutuals only blogs
at least the rest of the world now knows that they shouldn't interact with them or they will be treated badly
DAMN ANON PREACH.
But I actually have more to say lmao fjfnnxn
This has to be the shittiest ask game that has happened in a while and tbh i didn't want to interact with this game for the same reason.
I wouldn't want to post about blogs that i have never interacted with because idk what they are really like to hate on them and if my moots were being attacked, id take that very personally. Because I wouldn't disregard an anon with a valid point even if its against my own moot. There are people we dislike and people we can't stand and what should we do? Walk awayeyaeya and avoid drama instead of causing it :/
im literally just trying to vibe here 🧍🏻‍♀️
people need to stop being obsessed with me fr fr
Yk whats the worst part about these asks tho? This was a chance to actually consider your own mutuals and their internet and social presence and validate or question their actions. But what happened? 'Not my mutuals 😭😭😭😭' ig it's time you consider your mutuals are toxic sis
Ik some mutuals (mine) that have been around interacting with posts and blogs that are very vocal about hating and getting me off the internet lmao but here's my take from this: this is a social platform and what I do with it is my fucking business. It was, at a point, ok for people to make hate comments about someone because they thought only their circle of clowns was seeing it so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
nonynom beloved would you believe me if i said ive been there? I actually wanted to be moots with someone and we followed each other a day before the discourse happened and BOOM no words exchanged they blocked me and then a mutual of mine sent me an ss of something they said about me, so bestie just consider it a bullet dodged, at least now you know you don't want to interact with someone.
Bro if they really did that, thats pretty sticky smh 2/10 would not recommend such an interaction
again, im not a part of this 'skull anon' bs, im answering this ask as an ask because id respect anyone that would take out time to talk to me tbh

ENGLISH
To start moving with the Drum and Bass, it feels comfortable  Shall we move to music baby? Even if it's a little embarrassing, let's try it I want to call out to a depressed heart as well Everything should be fine away If I am enough, I will lend (you) this hand
A life without worries doesn't exist, doesn't exist Everyone would live it if it was possible, if it was possible Be alright
Then, shall we dance? Daybreak is almost here Surely good things are going to happen The end of night Up-down, in this violent world there are days when you want to cry Let's be proud of you You can be happy and save your life
When tomorrow isn't in sight, don't hold back Why don't you talk to somebody? Surely there will be people close by Avoid laughing like that Shall we go out for fun on Monday? Anyone can be blamed
Have you been thinking about everything? *1-  Bad tonight, bad tonight I want to see your happy face, I want to see it By your side
No matter how bad the water, it's a treat if you're thirsty I won't thank you for giving up Our precious light Love shouldn't be forced Let's take this path You only live once in your time
Wait, until the storm blows over...
A life without worries doesn't exist, doesn't exist Everyone would do it if it was possible, if it was possible Be alright
Then, shall we dance? Daybreak is almost here. Surely good things are going to happen. The end of night Up-down, in this violent world there are days when I want to cry Let's be proud of that you You can be happy and save your life
Soon, soon, soon, soon, the end of night

Dialogue in the Japanese dub of The Prince of Egypt: Miriam
originally posted in 2016 [x].
Ever since my questions about the Japanese dub of The Prince of Egypt and how the bio-siblings speak to one another were answered (thank you kindly!), I’ve been really excited to try to write about the dialogue and the nuances of the language… which is also a bit easier now that I have the DVD.  Japanese is my second language, so I’m sorry in advance for any mistakes!
Regarding the format here, I’m relying primarily on these transcripts.  I’ve only added the romanization below the Japanese and bolded the phrases and pieces that I discuss in more detail in this post.  Towards the end, there are also two supplemental lines of dialogue, one of which is from the mud pit scene (…because I totally live there, heh).
A note about vowels: “a” is pronounced like the “a” in “father”; “i” like in “eat”; “u” like in “fool”; “e” like in “let”; and “o” like in “so.”  The vowel “ou” is still pronounced like the “o” in “so,” but it’s held longer.  Also, for the sake of simplicity, I’ve romanized Moses’ and Aaron’s names as “Moses” and “Aaron.”
As the title suggests, I’m going to be focusing on Miriam’s dialogue this time.  Compared to Aaron, she maintains a consistent degree of formality/familiarity in the Japanese version of the film.
Familiarity and Use of “You”
Oh, I’m sorry.  I’m so sorry.  Oh, please forgive me.  I didn’t expect to see you… here, of all places, at our door.  Mmm, at last! ごめんなさい、まあ、申し訳ございません。あの、こんな所に…まさか、まあ、あなた、やっぱりやっぱりそう、戻って来たのね。とうとう… [romanization] gomen nasai, maa, moushi wake arimasen.  ano, konna tokoro ni…  masaka, maa, anata, yappari yappari sou, modotte kita no ne.  toutou…
In the well scene, Miriam begins to offer an honest apology.  Both gomen nasai and moushi wake arimasen accomplish this.  The former is a colloquial but still fairly polite way of saying “I’m sorry.”  Moushi wake arimasen is stronger and more formal than gomen nasai, and it can be used in instances where a bigger offense has been committed, in situations such as business, and/or in conversations with people of a higher status.  Seeing as Miriam’s just dropped a clay pot filled with water near someone’s feet, it makes sense that she gives both kinds of apologies.
However, once Miriam sees who exactly has appeared at their door, she immediately switches to familiar language, losing all pretenses of properness that would normally be expected of her.  (This must be pretty shocking and insulting to Moses.)
In Japanese, it’s possible to drop pronouns when the identities of the speaker and addressee are clear.  Using a direct form of “you” can be rude.  Even so, there are many ways to say “you,” and the word that someone chooses is also an expression of their attitude and feelings towards the person being addressed.
Miriam uses anata with Moses.  Although anata gets listed as a “common” second-person pronoun, there are many contexts in which it should not be used.  At work, for example, it’s best to refer to one’s superior using their title, even when speaking directly to them.  The effect sounds a bit like talking in third-person.  Furthermore, depending on the speaker and addressee, anata suggests varying levels of closeness.  Like Miriam, Tzipporah uses anata.  For her, however, anata gains a level of intimacy because she and Moses are married: anata tends to be regarded as feminine, and it becomes something of a term of endearment between romantic partners.  This contrasts Miriam’s use of anata — hers of course is familial in tone.
That she always uses familiar language with Moses is perfect, since she’s acknowledging his kinship with her and Aaron from the beginning.  The Japanese dub helps underscore this in perhaps a more overt way.
Requests and Commands
Miriam’s older-sisterliness is also expressed through her dialogue in the Japanese version.  There’s an example with Moses and one with Aaron that show this.
Moses, hear what I say.  I have been a slave all my life. モーセ、聞いてちょうだい。私は奴隷だった これまでずっと [romanization] Moses, kiite choudai.  watashi wa dorei datta kore made zutto
In this line from the mud pit scene, she says kiite choudai.  Like anata, the suffix -choudai is gender-coded: It’s mostly used by women.  (I’ve also heard it used by children, regardless of gender.)  Attaching choudai to a verb turns the statement into a casual request.  I like how it reflects her relationship with Moses.  She’s treating him as an older sister would, and choudai conveys that sense because it’s generally directed at people of equal or lower social status, or used by mothers with their children.
Notably, Miriam never has the opportunity to use a form of “you” with Aaron, but she does call him by name.  (I can’t imagine her using anything other than anata with him.)
So, in the following line:
Aaron, you shame yourself. アロン、恥を知りなさい [romanization] Aaron, haji o shirinasai lit. Know shame.
This is a(n informal) command, and the “you” is implied.  The best part, to me, is the feeling that lies behind the suffix -nasai.  Like choudai does for Miriam and Moses, nasai illustrates the kind of relationship that Miriam and Aaron have.  I always associate nasai with a mother speaking to a child, but I’ve heard it used by teachers with their students, and older siblings can also use it.  Again, as with choudai, it’s feminine and has a high-to-low-status kind of feel.  Overall, I think it strikes the right feel for Miriam and Aaron.
For comparison, Queen Tuya uses the nasai form when she is trying to comfort Moses.  If I’m remembering the line correctly, it is:
Now you know the truth, love.  Now forget and be content.  When the gods send you a blessing, you don’t ask why it was sent. 神の祝福に感謝しなさい [romanization] kami no shukufuku ni kansha shinasai
I didn’t bold the exact place in the English dialogue because a more direct translation of the Japanese line is something like, “Give thanks to the gods’ blessings,” which I feel broadly encompasses the “forget and be content” part.  But I think this is a good demonstration of nasai as a mother’s command to her child.
In terms of formality, Miriam’s dialogue stays about the same throughout the movie, but this constancy, including her use of anata and her “big sister” way of talking, says a lot about her and her relationships with her brothers.
