yay! anyways the annoying boy in my class who was away for like two months (and actually came back ;w; - and no he wasn't gone bc of covid) and during maths we were going over the questions and had already done two and he asked "what is this" djisbfkdfs (bro i get u not understanding but he literally said it was trigonomerty fksbfkenf)
I just realized I forgot to take my meds and reading is bleh. Whatever, absorbing what you're reading is boring anyway
So he's asking what you're doing after already doing some problems?
Jesus, the kid sounds like me sometimes lmfao

You know, taking a gap year wasn't really the best thing for me. It was the smart thing to do. For one thing, while I complained about school simply because it was something I was forced to do and many classes were required of me, going to school and studying and doing homework gave me a purpose and self of value (in a way) that nothing else in my life can replicate. I love learning. Ever since I was younger my favorite tv programs was anything on Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, or the Science channel. There was the occasional cartoon (Spongebob, Danny Phantom, Foster's Home, and Fairly Odd Parents were the bomb though), but I loved learning about everything I could. School is learning and without doing something I really love, life has become pretty boring. I honestly miss the notes, homework, planning, essays, papers, speeches, presentations, and class readings. I miss learning and doing school work and I can't wait to get back to it this fall or winter. However, this gap year was necessary. When I graduated high school, I had a faint clue of what I wanted to do. When I started high school, the answer was completely different from my answer now. Same with the start of every year, including my senior year! I was not blessed, as I view it, with having a more specialized set of skills. I'm a well rounded person and there are only a handful of things I can't genuinely do well; such as conceptual math or math above Trigonomerty. Many people wish they were well rounded, but it's a nightmare with things like this. Because I know I could be a doctor or a lawyer or a veterinarian or an engineer, and I would enjoy each of those jobs, but the problem is which would I enjoy more or still want to do when there's more things I'm also good at and enjoy doing. I needed this gap year because I needed to know what I wanted to make of my life and how I wanted to do it. I've succeeded at this gap year, because I now know I want to be a high school English teacher and I want to persue learning another language. I didn't know this a year ago, and I wasn't about to go into debt and waste money on classes when I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I'm not sure why I'm writing any of this, but I just wanted to give my experience with taking a gap year and break from school after high school because I know you other high schoolers and last year'ers are thinking about your future. A gap year may be an option you are considering, and I felt it best to highlight the biggest con and biggest pro of my year. In summary; a gap year was bad, personally, because I miss the learning of school more than I thought, and the gap year was good because it bought me time to financially set myself on the right path for the future of me and my goals.

Before my maths test
My Friend: Hannah, why is trigonometry so hard?
Me: I don't know
*In my head*: I'm going to regret this...
My Friend: cos.
Me: That's the best, yet worse pun I've ever heard....
