Somehow my @tonystarkbingo round 7 card got DUM-E on it twice! I love him but decided to adopt the orphaned prompt '1980s' to replace one of those. The idea I had was to sync up timelines if possible and drop a young Tony into the Stranger Things verse. the young Iron Man photoshops by rdjarmysmeyye were a great inspiration. :)

It was just supposed to be a moodboard, but then I started making notes for the aforementioned sync-up, and well, oops, we have an accompanying fic. lol!

PoliZ's WIP Update - 31 Jan 2024

Another productive writing week - while I only  touched  3 fics (1 new works & 2 WIPs) - with over a thousand words on one of them, I managed 2310  words - for a total of over 11k for the month!  

On Ao3, I posted:

* T2 - KINK: Cock-blocking 'bots -  Posted  Competing for His Affections  this morning –  ‘bot shenanigans based on Tony & Bucky’s new romance.  I combined a recent Flash Fiction Friday prompt,  [#FFF233 Imperfect Sign]  and a belated  Fictober Day 27: prompt   "I don't know if they will accept this."   along with my  BBB - Humor prompt.  It came in at 537 words 

* A2 - KINK: Concubine -  This will get filled with Chapter Two of  The Sultan’s Gifts  (see Caning prompt below).    Chapter Two, which also fills my SAUB Gentle Dom square  is coming in at 1065 words with a third smutty chapter (filling my SRB Multiple Submissives squares)  sitting at 225 words as of this morning. 

* R5 - Doppelganger/Evil Twins -    Worked on expanding NamNori  this week -  originally a ficlet for the Flash Fiction Friday prompt [#FFF214 Broken Mirror].  It’s crossing over with my  SAUB AU: Crack square and is coming in at 1303 words of an alternate-dimension Tony  causing a bit of havoc, but also a happy Stony ending.  It will post on Friday.

I also threw in my SAUB Pre-Serum Steve Rogers  and Build a Bucky Bingo  Polyamory prompts for good measure!  It came in at 972 words.  

* Jan Adoptable: Enemies to Lovers -  working to fit this into another Flash Fiction Friday-inspired fic -  To Earn the Dragon’s Heart  was written for prompt  [#FFF237 A Fool’s Quest] and will also fill my SAUB AU: Fantasy square.  This is also inspired by CoffeeOwl’s really cool dragon!Steve/ indebted!Tony prompt in the STB Discord server.  The expansion is up to 678 words and will hopefully be posted on the 9th.

* S3 - AU: Wings -  think I need to pivot on this - maybe I’ll be self-indulgent and do a second remix of some part of Take What Was Wrong (And Make it Right) from Steve’s POV - since  the first remix  is Bucky POV (and therefore tricky to make Stony-focused) 

* S5 - Accidental Baby Acquisition - see BBB Yelena Belova  - this may have to come off the table/pivot to something else.  

* T1 - AU: Fantasy -  see TSB  Enemies to Lovers. 

* T2 - Adopting a Cat - combined this with a Flash Fiction Friday prompt  [#FFF236 Fight or Flight]  for  Feline Fight and Flight  - which will probably get a better title before I post it to Ao3.😁 This No Powers established Stony ficlet - where Tony’s rescuing a stray cat and Steve helps out -  came in at  390 words.

Bucky Barnes Connect Four - Alt Jun-iverse [BBC4_R2]  {Ends June 2024}

The good folks over at @buckybarnesevents  have opened this event up early!  You sign up for a single row card of four squares and the challenge is to see if you can combine any/all into a single Bucky-centric AU fanwork - although you can also create 2-4 separate fanworks if you want.  

The combo of prompts on my first card [Reality Show,  Omegaverse, Talent/Manager, Royalty] sparked an idea that I’m about 230 words + misc notes into already -  Alpha!Bucky as a technical prince   who gets talked into joining a reality show that is supposed to match him up with an omega… but there’s a twist!   I’m torn between striking while the iron is hot vs spending time on the fics that have a looming deadline…  🙃

hey there,sorry for taking too long to reply, i just got back from school, now to the headcanons:

1.Goldie picked TSBS Golden freddy's habit of suprising pepole from behind( he is so proud of him)

2.Goldie's biggest suprise is when he found out about TSBS Freddy's daughter fracine (AGA Freddy's mouth dropped to the floor when goldie told him)

3.Funtime Freddy, Francine and goldie all have tea parties from time to time( if they're not busy causing chaos)

5.Once goldie found out that animatronics can become bioorganic, he asked TSBS Golden Freddy to turn him too but he refused for reasons(mainly because Aga Freddy asked him to)

6.TSBS Golden Freddy teach goldie how to use magic( since one of his sons stopped traing for a while and the other wasn't intrested in magic in the first place)and francin participate from time to time too

7. Goldie spotted both Aga Shadow Freddy and TSBS shadow Freddy hanging out multiple times but never questiond it( He ain't dealing with that shit again)

Mengejar PhD #47

Di postingan sebelumnya, aku cerita soal spv yang ternyata butuh zoom meeting kan buat approval PhD application ku. Nah aku auto bales lah, “I can join zoom meeting anytime”. Aku bales gitu, karna, pengalaman sebelumnya dengan uni yang lain, yang arrange zoom meeting ya mereka. Aku tinggal info waktu available yang mana. 

Terus, selama seminggu hening, gak ada balesan apapun. Aku bingung-diem-bingung-diem. Apa beliau sedang sibuk? Apa aku yang salah interpretasi soal zoom meeting? Aku mesti gimana? AKU MESTI NGAPAINNNNNNN #stres

Akhirnya aku coba curhat sama salah satu anak PhD kenalanku di uni tsb. Intinya, apa maksud email beliau aku yang provide link nya? Yah, nyari validasi dan supporting comment lah. Karna aku gemes, aku email lagi beliau di 2 Mei (seminggu setelah email w terakhir). Aku langsung provide tanggal untuk meeting. Beliau gercep pula bales, meng-iya-kan meeting tanggal 5 Mei jam 10 pagi. 

Alhamdulillah, tinggal deg-deng-an-nya, ntar bakal ditanya apaan. Another overwhelming. 

Long story short, itu hari jumat, untung jam 10 pagi kan, jadi aku dah bangun. Aku dah siap-siap, ya latihan introduction pula. Yah sambil dag-dig-dug-der takut ngomong bahasa inggris ku jelek. Aku nunggu sekitar 7 menit dari jadwal, udah overthinking aja apa beliau lupa, atau apa google calendar gak masuk, ternyata emang beliau sibuk dari meeting ke meeting.

Pas beliau join di room zoom, rasanya, EXCITED banget!!! akhirnya ketemu in-person (walau virtual) dan bisa ngomong sama beliau. Yah, tipikal bapak paruh baya ganteng mata biru berlesung pipi, ya allah, tua nya ganteng, apalagi muda nya coba. Salfok, wkwk. 

Di awal beliau bilang gak bisa lama-lama karna ada meeting lain. Terus langsung nanya “Do you have some concern to be discussed?”. Aku bengong wkwk, gak nyangka kalimat pertanyaan pertama yang keluar langsung itu wkwk. Aku langsung cerita soal beberapa challenge di database nantinya. Terus beliau juga tanya my current situation itu ngapain. Aku cerita soal kerjaanku yang handle beberapa project. Di pertanyaan terakhir, aku, jujur, tidak mudeng dengan bahasa inggris beliau #sad, jadinya kurang menjawab pertanyaan beliau (pas aku liat ulang recordingnya malam ini). Tapi ya, intinya, senang sekali bisa meeting virtual dengan beliau setelah cuma email-emailan 10 bulan. Zoom meetingnya ternyata cuma 17 menitan. Sangat concise.

Seminggu kemudian, tepat di 12 Mei, siang-siang pas nyeruput es dawet duren di Semarang yang sumuk, aku dapat email congratulations dari uni, bahwa application PhD ku sukses. Ya, aku biasa aja. Karna, dapet LoA aja gak cukup. Scholarship itu yang utama. Hadeeeeehhhh.

1. So. My rating of the specials: WBY > TSB > TG. It may be noticeable because my thoughts are coherent, unlike after WBY :D

2. The bi-generation, which turned out to be true? Uhhhh... not a big fan of it, tbh, and I was hoping that the Doctors would merge into one as soon as 14, um. Sorts himself out? Understands the importance of talking to people and taking breaks from all the shit? Something like this. But, maybe, just maybe, it will happen. Some time in the future.

2.5. I sort-of headcanon the bi-generation as the Toymaker's doing. Or the consequence of him screwing the reality up.

3. The implication that the Master, while being in the tooth, first enjoyed the ride with pop-music, and then* basically told the Toymaker to fuck himself? Great.

Reinstate Your Driver’s License File a Petition in Bankruptcy

If a New York State resident incurs New York State tax debt which including interest and penalties exceeds $10,000, under a existing program New York State Department of Taxation and Finance may suspend a taxpayer’s driver’s license to enforce collection of the past due balance. See New York Tax Law Section 171-v. While the program has enjoyed considerable success in helping New York State raise funds to augment its depleted coffers, for the unsuspecting taxpayer who is completely ignorant that falling behind in his tax payments to New York State could result in the taxpayer being grounded, unable to use his vehicle even to drive and engage in gainful employment so as to amass funds to make inroads on the tax debt, the loss of the use of a driver’s license can be both devastating and debilitating.

While various steps can be taken by a taxpayer to obtain relief from the suspension, such as entering into a repayment plan, or proving “undue economic hardship”, these procedures can be time consuming and even ultimately unsuccessful.

When faced with somewhat limited time consuming and potentially unsuccessful alternatives, a preferable solution might be to simply file for bankruptcy.

The Department of Taxation and Finance itself has acknowledged that it may not suspend a driver’s license while a taxpayer is seeking relief under applicable federal bankruptcy laws. See Technical Memorandum, TSB-17-13(4) I dated August 8, 2013. When faced with the prospect of substantial delays in being able to drive one’s vehicle, immediately upon notification to the taxing authorities that he has filed for bankruptcy a taxpayer has the right to the reinstatement of his license.

Typically, a delinquent taxpayer will receive from the tax department a letter which will include a “Consolidated Statement of Tax Liabilities”. The letter will also advise the taxpayer how to pay the liabilities or to request additional information. Finally, the letter will notify the taxpayer that his driver’s license can be suspended by the Department of Motor Vehicles upon failure to pay taxes. The taxpayer must then respond to the payment demand within 60 days. A failure to timely respond will result in notification by the taxing authorities to the Department of Motor Vehicles to move forward to suspend the taxpayer’s driver’s license.

Thus, this 60 day notification creates a window which may be utilized to file a bankruptcy petition which would then have the immediate effect of forestalling the suspension of the driver’s license.

Moreover, even if a driver’s license had already been suspended, the filing of bankruptcy petition thereafter would have the (short term) benefit of reinstating the driver’s license.

Obviously, much more needs to be discussed to fully understand the bankruptcy process, various bankruptcy alternatives and a mechanism for dealing with the tax debt in a bankruptcy case, and these are all important issues. However, in any event, the immediate benefit of a filing for bankruptcy to cease in its tracks actions by New York State to suspend a driver’s license cannot be overestimated in providing immediate and inexpensive relief to a beleaguered taxpayer.

Our experts would be more than happy to discuss with you the bankruptcy process and how it might be beneficial in dealing with tax and other categories of debt.

Buku ini adalah terjemahan dari judul asli Ath Thariq ila Al Quran. Membahas tentang keajaiban Al Quran dan bagaimana kita bisa menghubungkan diri dengan keajaiban tsb yang semuanya didasarkan pada apa yang ada di ayat Al Quran itu sendiri.

Bab di dalamnya memaparkan tentang :

1) Perjalanan penulis mengamati orang non Islam yang selalu tertarik untuk masuk Islam karena denger bacaan Quran. Ini sejalan dengan beberapa ayat yang terjemahnya menjelaskan bahwa Al Quran itu bisa bikin nangis, *bikin kulit tenang sehingga hati siap menerima makna Al Quran*. Lalu penulis juga mengingatkan bahwa seberapapun waktu kita baca Al Quran itu adalah *karunia Allah*, mau sedikit mau banyak. Maka jangan lupa ibadah sebelum dan sesudah, sebelum ibadah kita butuh *minta tolong ke Allah*, setelah ibadah kita perlu bersyukur.

2) Mengingatkan kalau Al Quran diturunin ke gunung tu niscaya dia gakan kuat, wanita dan kaum musyrik bisa terpancing dengerin bacaan Al Quran, musuh Islam saat perang juga hatinya terbang denger surat At Thur dibaca, jin juga takjub sama bacaannya, pendeta tulus pun juga nangis denger Al Quran, para malaikat di langit sampe pada turun dengerin bacaan Quran di malam hari, Rasul yang dengerin sendiri ayat dari Jibril masih minta dibacain ayat sampe tersedu di bagian orang kafir.

3) Kisah orang asy'ari yang selalu baca Quran di tengah keheningan malam. Waktu dimana orang banyak terlelap tapi sebenernya itu waktu yang Allah kasih untuk *jiwa kita siap nerima makna Al Quran*. Sumber ketenangan jiwa kita itu diantaranya istirahat di malam hari, diantara yang lain juga datangnya dari Al Quran.

4) Al Quran sebagai obat untuk jiwa yang mungkin telah silau dengan popularitas, suka menonjolkan diri, cinta kuasa dan pangkat di mata manusia, ambisi mengalahkan teman dan segala yang bikin sesak dada lainnya. (QS Yunus : 57)

5) Kenapa Al Quran bisa jadi obat ampuh sebegitunya? Karena Al Quran ini menghimpun 2 macam pengobatan : iman dan ilmu. Ilmu disini konteksnya Al Quran akan memberi kepuasan kepada akal kita yang haus akan penalaran filosofis terhadap segala hal di dunia. (QS Al Hajj : 54)

6) Membaca kitab Allah sekali saja dengan tulus akan memberi pengaruh pada akal muslim yang tidak bisa dilakukan oleh semua pemikiran bertele-tele dengan bahasa angkuh dan istilah congkak. (QS Maryam : 58)

7) Kunci tadabbur : menadaburi kisah nabi yang diulang di banyak tempat untuk berbagai konteks yang berbeda, meletakkan semua konsep pemikiran manusia dan menjadikan amal keimanan sebagai timbangan dalam menilai kemajuan, memahami pemisalan dalam Al Quran dan mengontekskannya dengan kehidupan kita saat ini. Ada satu yang jleb di bab ini buatku : _Bagaimanapun juga, Al-Qur'an ini adalah mata air yang mana manusia hidup dengan menimba air darinya sesuai dengan tempat tinggal mereka. Sebagaimana perkataan Imam Ibnu Taimiyah, "Al-Qur'an itu adalah sumber yang semua makhluk mendatanginya. Setiap mereka mendapatkan darinya sesuai kadar yang Allah tetapkan untuknya."_

8) Surat Al Fatihah sbg surat yang paling agung di dalamnya ada : 3 ayat pertama yang akan jadi bahan percakapan kita sama Allah, ayat tengah (4) sebagai inti permintaan tolong kita kpd Allah, ayat selanjutnya sebagai doa paling utama : doa memohon hidayah.

9) Ajaibnya proses menahan diri selama Ramadhan yang bisa membuat hati kita lebih bisa menerima Al Quran.

10) Ada beberapa tali pengikat dalam Al Quran yang bisa kita pegang selalu : selalu inget dan bersyukur agar jiwa kita makmur dengan mengingat Allah, dalam banyak ayat Allah menginginkan kita mengingat-Nya di setiap keadaan (susah/ senang), tawakal : momen keterikatan paling dalam kepada Allah, selalu bergantung kepada Allah, dzikr : dua terbanyak dibahas dalam Al Quran setelah tauhid.

Lalu di akhir buku ini disampaikan tips tadabbur Al Quran :

🗝️ *Wajib merendahkan diri kpd Allah, berdoa.* Kita bisa beribadah karena keberkahan proses kembali kepada Allah. Segala pintu kebaikan datang dari permintaan tolong kpd Allah.

🗝️ *Membuat waktu khusus untuk tadabur setiap hari.* Ingat perintah Nabi untuk mengkhatamkan Al Quran min sekali dalam sebulan? Dan maks 7hari sekali? Yang menarik dari para sahabat membagi berdasar surat. Bukan juz atau halaman tapi : 3 surah, 5 surah, 7 surah, 9 surah, 11 surah, 13 surah, al mufasshal. Ada org saleh jaman dulu berkata _3 surah ini beratnya kaya gunung, selanjutnya kaya setengah gunung, selanjutnya kaya gada gunung, selanjutnya lagi kaya makanan yg bikin sakit kalau kehilangan._ Teman-teman yang suka ngebut di bulan Ramadhan relate kan ya sama perumpamaan ini? Hehe

🗝️ *Tadabbur mandiri sebagai sandaran.* Tafsir hanya membantu. Abdullah bin Abbas membagi Al Quran menjadi 4 tingkat : *yang setiap org tidak diberi uzur untuk tidak tau*, yang hanya diketahui oleh bangsa Arab, yang diketahui oleh ulama, yang hanya diketahui oleh Allah. Kita bisa mulai dengan baca terjemah, kalau ada kata ga diketahui makna bisa merujuk ke kitab tafsir.

🗝️ Membuat kegiatan tafsir untuk keluarga. Membaca, berlomba memaknai.

🗝️ Tidak ada pembelajaran syar'i dari sekian ilmu islam yang didirikan Nabi dan teorinya beliau bangun sendiri selain pembelajaran Al Quran.

Gaya penyampaian syaikh di buku ini lumayan keras menurutku, jadi harus siap-siap hati yang lapang untuk menerima kondisi yang mungkin membuat kita terselepet. Tapi justru dengan gaya itulah sebenar-benar kandungan Al Quran dijembrengin dengan apik dan bersambung dari satu bab ke bab lain. Dalam satu babnya pun diulang dan dikoneksikan terus antara satu ayat dengan ayat lain untuk membawa nalar kita menerima kondisi yang tidak sesuai dengan apa yang Allah harapkan terjadi. Buku ini memantapkan apa yang disampein teh Wilda di acara Dive into the beauty of Quran, sblm Ramadhan lalu. Memberikan lebih banyak latar kondisi kenapa kita harus kembali berpegangan kepada Al Quran dan bagaimana seharusnya kita menebalkan tekad untuk terus memahaminya diantara semua prioritas yang lain.

Usia Jasad

“Usia umatku antara 60 sampai 70 tahun. Sedikit yang melampaui usia itu” (HR. Tirmidzi),

"Usia panen umatku adalah 60 tahun"

"Life begins at forty" – Katanya ini usia ideal dimana kita seharusnya sudah menemukan 'amr (tugas hidup) kita. Nabi Muhammad diangkat menjadi Rasul saat berusia 40 tahun, kemudian menjadi rasul selama 20 tahun hingga akhirnya wafat dalam usia 63 tahun.

Ketika mendengar hal-hal ini, pertanyaan yang muncul di kepalaku adalah, "Bagaimana dengan orang-orang yang dipanggil dalam usia muda?".

Katakanlah dari kecil hingga dewasa hidup kita sebagian besar dihabiskan untuk sekolah, mungkin hingga puncaknya–paling krusial dan padat adalah saat kuliah. Lulus kuliah saja udah 22 tahun, misalkan ini adalah checkpoint ketika kita sudah mulai punya ritme hidup yang konsisten, bisa meluangkan waktu untuk belajar agama.

Itu juga beruntung kalau sudah mulai tertarik untuk belajar tentang kehidupan. Lebih beruntung lagi mungkin kalau memang sedari kecil sudah tertarik untuk belajar.

Namun bagaimana dengan orang-orang yang, misalnya, sebelum usia 25 tahun saja sudah dipanggil?

At first pasti yg kepikiran adalah, kasian dong mereka? Belum sempet ngapa-ngapain?

Tapi ga mungkin dong Allah ga adil. Then I came with a hypothesis; ketika Allah menetapkan usia seorang hamba-Nya, ia pasti juga sudah menyiapkan resource yang sesuai, selama masa umur hidup hamba-Nya tsb.

Mungkin, seorang yang ditakdirkan usianya 60 tahun, ia baru mulai merasakan ketertarikan utk mengenal Allah dari usia 25 tahun, sehingga memiliki waktu 35 tahun untuk belajar dan melaksanakan 'amrnya.

Lalu mungkin bisa saja, seseorang yang ditakdirkan usianya hanya 20 tahun, tapi dari sejak akil balighnya (let's say 13 tahun), ia memiliki ketertarikan yang luar biasa utk mengenal Allah hingga dalam kurun waktu 7 tahun saja ia bisa setara dengan orang yang belajar dan beramal dalam waktu 35 tahun. Dan kalo dari jawaban pak kemal (mentor kita) atas pertanyaan ini, umur ini ada kaitannya dengan 'amr. Aku interpretasikan bahwa sepertinya umur kita udah di-set dengan pas oleh Allah, dimana dalam jangka waktu segitu pasti kita dimampukan untuk menemukan dan melaksanakan 'amr kita. Jadi bisa aja orang yang usianya 20 tahun ini 'amrnya gak mengharuskan dia utk (mungkin) udah lulus kuliah, kerja dst gitu dulu.

Jadi kesimpulannya (setidaknya jawaban yang cukup memuaskanku utk saat ini) adalah setiap manusia punya kesempatan yang sama besarnya untuk menjadi nafs muthmainnah, jiwa yang tenang, yang sudah mengerjakan tugasnya ketika ia meninggalkan dunia ini nanti.
