Hello, I just caught up with TTO:U and I am being so normal about it.

So anyways, a question for someone who wasn't going though it at hundreds of pages per day, at least for a bit, does anyone ever use pronouns for Aspen? Fairly sure no one does but if someone had used 'they' I wouldn't even have realized.

Also for plot predictions, what do you think is going on with Tinera and Heli? My current crackpot theory is that Adin got high on the space drugs he stole from medbay and accidentally hurt his girlfriend and Tinera is covering up for him

first of all im so sorry i took like a kajillion years to answer this i had a Brain Malfunction

bold of you to assume I was not going through at hundreds of pages per day, as, in fact, I was! I saw the recommendation post several days prior, and then I think you saw me reblog it when I saw it again later after I had caught up lol.

Aspen uses they/them!! I love that despite the fact that this universe has a third gender, there are still people who fall outside of the trinary and are still totally respected (I don't think Aspen specifies whether they identify as the third gender - the name escapes me - or not, but they aren't using the standard pronouns. See also, the Public Universal Friends.)

Due to Brain Malfunction I kinda... put off getting caught up again until answering this so I could give my guess on what was going on there. My guess was that it was actually PUF who stole the drugs because it was definitely not pleased about no longer being able to treat its patient properly, although breaking the lock to do so is kinda weird, as it would have had access, being a doctor - maybe trying to cover its tracks?

Guess I'll have to go catch up now and see how that pans out!

THE FUCKING DOCTOR PUF KILLED RENN AND OTHER PUF.

Everyone ruled it out as a suspect because it was in the med bay incapacitated, but later on it said that neurostims covered up the symptoms. I bet it took neurostims to give it enough strength and then killed Renn and other PUF with brute force, BUT there was another player that, for some unknown reason, mixed in the poison to their glasses. Any damage done by neurostims would have been explained away as more symptoms of what it was already suffering. OR since we don't see Andi suffering, other PUF could have completely faked its "illness" as a long term strategy to make sure it wasn't a suspect.

It fits, other PUF and Renn would have probably wanted to commit atrocities on the convict population in the name of helping them, and doctor PUF would have wanted to stop that. Its already committed mass murder and everyone assumed it was euthanasia but I BET I bet that given how we've seen it talk about morality, the people it killed were people it thought were going to hurt others.

The story it told already about how other PUF killed Renn and Renn killed other PUF already didn't make any fucking sense, and it's way too neat and tidy. And the only other person who knows what doctor PUF actually told Sands is Sands, and he went fucking bonkers yonkers after their little chat. No way doctor PUF just told him that there was a tidy little answer to the problem.

AND the room where Doctor PUF talked to sands was I'm pretty sure the one with the camera in it, I bet the camera is going to be a Chekovs gun later on.

Anyway for sure Renn and other PUF didn't kill each other and I bet there's gonna be a real fun plot twist shortly down the road.
