“Though, for all they listened to me, I might as well have just told them to go to the Durothians and ask them nicely to please stop.”

“Pity you didn’t,” Elorassi chuckles. “It’d certainly work better than whatever it is we’re doing now.”

“It’d only work for you and your ridiculous attempts at charm.”

“They are not-”

“I’ve heard many a rumour about Durothians and know if none are true,” Urinamies interrupts, “but most seem to agree that they enjoy a pretty voice coming from the throats they cut.”

“Oh, Urinamies, you think my voice is pretty?”

strand (the stone of three):

Nimlon chuckles and sets about unweaving her braid, undoing the band holding the end firmly in place and brushing her fingers through the strands set free. Carefully, and with several different pangs of nostalgia, she opens the bottle of hair oil and lets a few drops fall onto her fingertips, working them through her hair.

ache (the stone of three):

Kings above, every muscle in her body aches. Oh, how wonderful it would be, even without the Stone, to return home and sleep for days on end. Wouldn’t that be nice?

truth (the stone of three):

It would be a lie, of course, but lies may be passed over when they serve to benefit.

It would be a lie to say she is not scared; it would not be the truth to say she is.

frown (c&r‘s grand adventure):

“And you’re sure this is perfectly sanitary and safe to eat?” Rachel frowns, prodding at a corner of her box of cookies that looks like it was covered in dirt. “It- er- looks… unsanitary. Unsafe for consumption.”

“Don’t worry, I have a good eye. Been doing this sort of thing for years. You get really good at it after a while. Besides, I’m eating the same shit, I’m not gonna poison you. Calm down, have some cookies. They’re good.”

“Speak for yourself,” Rachel grimaces, but she nibbles the outer edge of one of the cookies, daintily brushing off the crumbs that fall onto her lap.

The Stone Of Three- Side Characters

a simple explanation because I Don’t Feel Like Being Smart right now

We begin in a stable.

with jesus

With a stable boy.

Urinamies- cis pansexual male, he/him, 20

Just your average stable boy: young, serious, and in love with the Ambassador of Nimlorth.

Of course, it’s a secret relationship. Elurassi just adores his horses, that’s all.

Urinamies is Nimlon’s most trusted confidant, and has probably saved her life on more than one occasion.

Elurassi- cis bisexual male, he/him, 21

The cousin to the Crown Princess, he was chosen as the Ambassador when he was born. It’s a tough job, but hey, sightseeing!

He mostly serves as a conveyor of messages between Nimlorth and Numakaes Isle, which means he knows the bridges better than anyone.

And, of course, he’s got access to money, and that is where power lies, after all.

Nessa- cis lesbian ace female, she/her, 12

Nessa is Nialie’s younger sister, and she takes that role very seriously.

Although she’s always longed to lead her Tribe, she knows that Nialie has to bear that burden, and she cannot take her place.

But when chaos comes along, well, that’s a whole different thing.

fun little facts about my wips because i’m bored

-nimlon’s cousin is in love with her stable boy

-she knows

-she hangs out with them in the stables

-elorassi (her cousin) is a very emotional boy and urinamies (the stable boy) is much more... stable
