Final piece! Here’s my OC Tanwen, the great-granddaughter/reincarnation of Feanor, many years in the future once she’s settled in spirit and mind, able to once again just focus on her art work and happily married to her Teleri wife Urusilla, with their baby daughters Yavien and Mairea.

Some random late night doodles. Clockwise from the top left we’ve got Eonwe and Mairon being young and happy (I see them as being those friends who straddle the line between platonic and romantic but never fully cross over it). Then my OCs Tanwen, the reincarnation of Feanor, and her gf Urusilla of the Teleri. Some Lava Loving featuring a corrupted Legolas (Carnelas I believe was the name @gossip-girl-of-middle-earth came up with for him as the new dark lieutenant?—tried to convey there’s still some misgivings in him since I’m a sucker for a positive ending 😅). And finally two more of my OCs, the Mai Squared baby Olinde and his bf Andavare, the son of Argon

@girl-in-middle-earth ‘s wonderful picture reminded that it’s been a while since I posted any Tanwen. I’ll try to get back to her proper tale soon, in the meantime have some doodles of her and her Nolofinwean cousin Andavare

Also, I had my maiar oc Gilruin as Tanwen’s girlfriend, but her own story ended up going a separate way, so they’re just friends now (still canonically dated in the past though) and I’m working on a new SO for Tanwen, a Teleri shipwright who lives on Tol Eressa, and who meets Tanwen when she’s awkwardly trying to get the Teleri to please lend the Noldor some boats again so they can go fight Morgoth in the Dagor Dagorath

Her name means “shining copper”, since red hair is rare for the Teleri in my head canon. Tanwen is instantly smitten and Andavare has to put up with a whole lot of her freaking out wondering if she only likes red head’s because Feanor did before he finally just tells her if she doesn’t ask Urusilla out he’ll do it for her.

💐 🍂 🍼 for Tanwen?

💐 Does your OC like flowers? What are their favourites? Do they keep a garden of some sort? What flowers would they use in a flower crown? (and if you like, research the meanings behind those flowers!)

She does! She loves all sorts of flowers so it’d be hard to pick a favorite, but she definitely has a garden growing up and an even bigger one later once she moves out and gets her own house with Urusilla. For a flower crown I feel like she’d have daffodils, the kind with white petals and yellow centers,  for their new beginnings meaning.

🍂 What are their opinions on the different seasons? Which one do they hate and which one do they love and why?

Same with my Naeril ask I see Valinor as stuck in perpetual spring/summer. But if she were in Middle Earth Tanwen would adore spring, all the different flowers coming up and the trees all in bloom. The way the days get longer and just all the sense of newness and possibilities everywhere. 

🍼 Does your OC have any children or want children? What names would they pick? Are they good with kids or a complete disaster?

Tanwen loves kids but is  a little wary about having some of her own, as she doesn’t want them to possibly have to deal with any Feanor fallout as well. But she’d love to have at least one someday (she’s promised Urusilla that they won’t be having seven unless she super wants too x) And of course if they did they’d spread them out between the two of them)
