hobie brown with a giggly s/o like... one glance is all it takes and the snickers start. it's IMPOSSIBLE to have a conversation without an amused breath every moment. it's endearing, and so mind-numbingly cute to him.

and often times he just knows what he's about to say is going to absolutely destroy the both of them, because once his s/o starts laughing, he starts laughing, and then they both laugh at how funny each other's laughs are until it hurts to breathe. he swore to himself he wouldn't laugh but he's been picking up his s/o's habits and that first crack of a smile is more than contagious.

it's a little absurd, and hobie's stomach might hurt, but the ache in his heart is good.

sometimes i think abt hobie liking someone who's just... a normal ass person in the capitalist machine. someone who might question their circumstances but certainly doesn't do anything about it because they don't feel they're in the position to. and he can't do anything about it either because it'd force them to have to give up a lot and he just can't convince them

and i also think about how if that person used to be a close friend of his and they slowly drifted apart. after all those years he finds out they're just living day to day like everyone else and that theyre suddenly so different to him and he doesn't know how to feel
