I’m trying to get an all archon team. I never got a Quiqui before and for the first time I got her in Morax’s banner. Then after that only really crappy weapons I don’t need. Is Venti trying to prevent me from getting other archons? He should know he’s my fave and will never be replaced

Zhongli really is his biggest rival, I mean, who else has as much claim to your attention as another Archon?

If Venti just happeneds to shove Zhongli out of the way when one of those pesky claiming stars gets too close, well it's not like you can really blame him, right?

He's the only Archon you need, the only character you need really

Is it his attack damage? Do you just not main bow users? Is that why you're so adamant on splitting your attention?

Or maybe you're not doing it intentionally, yeah that must be it, you must just not know how useless Zhongli is compared to him

Venti will be happy to prove it, to show you exactly why you don't need anyone else, even if it involves him being a bit more pushy than he likes to be

And Zhongli better not try anything, try to sneak to your open arms when Venti isn't keeping his usual watchful eye

If you do happen to get him, well, you might find our dear friend Morax here isn't quite as strong as you thought, not nearly as durable as you expected

Venti's just securing his spot in your good graces, there's nothing wrong with that :)

so that's a crisis avoided! i was also super looking forward to this banner because sayu is on it, an i'm playing on an anemo-only side account as well right now, and on that account i got sayu in only four pulls! i feel blessed on this day

#like i used to have a pattern right #two wins and a loss #w the first win being high high pity ( like im talking 80s ) and then the sexond pull being early ( under 25 typically ) #it started when i lost kazuha to qiqi!! i had the guarantee #used it for zhongli #and then right after got tighnari at 19 pity since they were running together #afterwards i pulled on cyno’s banner and lost to mona and started pulling on venti’s but got nothing #albedo’s banner came around and i wanted barbara cons so i pulled a handful of times and got him bc i’d lost track of pity and was at -/ #— like more than 20+ higher pity than where i thought i was and i got him at 73 #after a series of reakdowns because i’d been waiting for a chikde rerun fkr FOREVER i saved up 60+ pulls over the course of nahida’s banner #and i got childe at 23 pity #then he came home again also at 73?? i can’t rememmber #after that i was hungering for a loss bc i want alhaitham right #so i saved and i had abt 40-50 pulls saved iirc and my sister goaded me into spending them on itto like midway through his banner — #— ( the day before the akitsu yuugei event dropped !! ) and i got notbing and kicked myself #i kept pulling until i got to 59 that day but got nothing so i ended up going to bed with no itto shxbcjf #then the next day the event dropped and i got a single pull’s worth of primos from the first game and told myslef ‘why not??’ and pulled #i looked down to scroll through twitter and looked back up while a thread was loading and it was GOLD #and i was just like ‘FINALLY. #genshin impact #some notes: #venti: its less that i didnt know how to wish and more that i wasnt familiar enough with how wishing worked #i was gunning for diluc and didnt know that it was a possibility to get him on venti's banenr to so i was putting everything into standard #when i realized it was too late and i was only able to do like 10-20 wishes before the banner was over #childe: i got him right away but went for c6 so i lost the 50-50 a couple of times subsequently (also why i skipped both reruns) #kazuha was the last character i explicitly spent money on. i've only been buying welkins and BP since #and thats been plenty to get everyone i want #by being reasonable anyway... i would have liked to get hu tao on her rerun and shenhe #but knowing albedo/itto and miko were coming after those two respectively i had to exercise some self-control

so.... about my plans.

(talk of questionable banner leaks ahead)

word on the street is that 4.2 is gonna be furina/ayato and baizhu/cyno. pairings not set in stone obviously. and that 4.3 is gonna be some combination of raiden/navia/itto/albedo. of course 4.3 info is even more likely to be inaccurate. but then again, it's not outside the realm of possibility considering how long it's been since the last of itto's and albedo's reruns. anyhow. it's obviously recommended to take all this with a massive bowl of salt.

so i obviously want albedo. but i also want redhorn. or navia's weapon if it's good for chong. if itto and navia aren't in the same half, then likely i'll try to pull for one of them and then try to pull for the other if i fail to get the first. and i don't want to skip albedo because god knows when the fucker's next rerun will be. i'm so worried he'll get the eula treatment. and i've wanted him since i started playing the game. but then again, do you really expect a chongyun main to pull for meta reasons.

the problem though... is the sheer amount of primos i'm gonna need for 4.3. assuming all of these are true. yeah i'm gonna skip the entirety of 4.2. i have cyno. i have baizhu. scarlet sands would be nice but i already have homa. and i don't care for either furina or ayato as units. maybe i'll get furina in her rerun if she's as much of a buff to dps chong as shenhe. i haven't looked at kit leaks so idk. and idrc since albedo's coming up soon. shame i can't pull on the haran/furina sword banner. but 5 star swords aren't a priority for me rn. unless it's a def sword but is hoyo really gonna do that. i got aquila favonia on bennett and that's all i'll need from the current roster for a good long while.

but will an entire patch's worth of savings be enough? i still can't break my f2p status even if i want to. and if my albedo pulls go the same way as in this banner and i have to get to high pity twice to get him... maybe i should just stop pulling and save my guaranteed for albedo. after i get chong's last con of course. if i get venti along the way then yay. but as soon as i get his c6, i might have to stop to save my sanity. i'll be crushed not getting venti this patch after waiting for him for so long. but he's an archon so he's basically guaranteed a rerun in the 5.x patches. while albedo has fallen so far off the meta that it's not out of the question for him to get eula'd. and most regions in my map are >80% explored. and considering i also want a weapon for chong, saving is more vital than ever now.
